    Fish tacos

Not the best Mexican food, not the best food food either though. I got the fish tacos, the fish was so fried and cooked it resembled a thick chip. Super disappointing! But the service was nice and the restaurant was nice and cool. Chips and guac were good, salsa was ok

Lunch with a few of my cousins, one recommended we try ThirtyFour Mexican restaurant as I've never been there before. We arrive around 3pm and there is limited meter parking. We see one patron is dining in the patio area. The waitress seats us right away and the inside has a small bar. We order chips & salsa with guacamole for the table. These were delicious and FRESH. Our entrees were large portions for around $20 per person, normal price for a fast food/old school Mexican restaurant. One thing I disliked was the texture and freshness of the shredded chicken on the Cesar salad, I would skip this and order birria tacos instead. Our server did take quite a bit of time to give us our check, but she never gave us our check! She instead told us the total and stood next to us waiting for payment. I think they should print an itemized receipt for all customers as it seems shady when you don't. I'm sure the state workers like the fast service and vibe.

Lots of seating indoors, at the bar, and on the patio.

Super conveniently located, from the Capitol as well as several State government buildings. The prices seem rather reasonable for downtown Sacramento. On Fridays, the burrito is $2 off! I also was eyeing the birria ramen. Might want to come back for that. The staff were friendly and attentive. Decor was a very cute Mexican restaurant. The building makes it look like an institution here in Sacramento, amongst all the towering buildings. We ordered two carnitas burritos recommended by the waitress. She said they only have carnitas fresh on Fridays. The burritos were absolutely huge! A solid meal. The green and red sauces accompanied the burritos nicely; I enjoyed both of them. We also ordered chips, salsa, and guacamole which were all fine, nothing stellar.

Thirtyfour Mexican Cantina--- how have I never been here?!? Located right next to the capital you can find real authentic Mexican food.. and it's good!!! Sooo good! The patio is adorable and also dog friendly. I ordered the 3 tacos. I got el pastor, asada and chicken! They were all amazing! So much flavor! I added cheese for $1! Worth it!!! I got a prickly pear margarita that was giant and definitely gave me a good buzz! The service was really good and everyone was so nice!!!!! Come check out this place-- it's a vibe! With good food!!!! I can't believe people even eat at places like zocalo when real authentic food is here!

Stopped in on a hot day with my girls, and this place absolutely hit the spot! The vegetarian tacos were incredible--packed with flavor and super satisfying. We couldn't get enough of the fresh chips and the guacamole, which was perfectly creamy and seasoned just right. The vibe was relaxed and welcoming, making it a great little escape from the heat. Definitely a new favorite for fresh, delicious Mexican food! The host was super friendly and greeted us with so much love.

This restaurant is amazing. We did a last minute dinner with friends and family, about 16 of us and they are so kid friendly, very embarrassed my kids wouldn't sit still. We love this place for lunch at work and now it is added to my list for last minute get togethers for large parties.

We made a reservation for two for today at lunch and were the only ones at the restaurant. Towards the middle and end of our visits the restaurant started having more customers. Went for one of the Friday special's which is AYCE for $29 per person. You initially begin with a starter and then receive your first plate of rice, beans, 4 street tacos or 2 mini quesadillas. The meat choices are chicken, asada, birria, chorizo, carnitas, adovada con pina, potatoes & carrot, poblano zucchini and mushroom. After that, you can continue ordering 4 tacos or mini quesadillas along with rice or beans. Soft drinks are included with this deal. The service was pretty quick although it was expected as it wasn't busy. There were multiple servers who assisted and all friendly. Overall, the experience was nice. It was hard to eat additional tacos so I may come here for smaller portions in the future.

We seen online the endless tacos and margaritas deal they have and we all had to try. When you get somewhere and they are poppin you know it's about time be pretty good! The Christmas decor was very homey and cute too. We all got different taco meats and flavored margaritas to share and they were great. The margaritas were really sweet and definitely got all of us buzzed after the second round. The appetizers and tacos came out quickly and were tasty my only complaint would be the beans ... I wish I would've known they'd be whole beans and not the usual refried beans but the rice was yummy and the salads too!

This is a great place to have lunch with coworkers. The food and service are top notch! They have daily specials and everything is reasonably priced. The place is now decorated for Christmas which brings a feeling of happiness and cheerfulness. The burrito was savory and packed with flavors. The quesadilla was cooked to perfection. It even had a small cheese skirt. Shout out to Erica, our server, who is just the friendliest waitress I've met in a long time.

You're greeted with a fun atmosphere, friendly staff, and an energy that makes you excited to be there. Since the restaurant was especially busy, we chose to sit at the bar. There was no wait, and the high-top seating was surprisingly comfortable. Our server was welcoming and attentive, and the service was fast from start to finish. Between the great music and lively atmosphere, you can't help but want to dance while you eat! I ordered one of my favorites--the chicken sope. It was perfectly crispy on the outside while still soft and fluffy on the inside. The chicken was packed with flavor, and the rice and beans were just as delicious. The salsa that came with it was the perfect finishing touch, adding just the right amount of spice and an extra kick of flavor. My hubby ordered one of the carne asada dishes (so sorry, I forgot the name!). He said it was one of the best cuts of meat he's had at a Mexican restaurant in a long time--super tender, juicy, and full of flavor. We had such a fun night! I definitely recommend Rosa Madera--10/10 for a date night, girls' night, or any excuse to enjoy great food and an even better atmosphere.

Everything is decorated so uniquely, and it makes the whole experience feel special. The atmosphere is fun, welcoming, and perfect for celebrating with friends and family. The only downside was that it was difficult to get in contact with the restaurant beforehand. I tried calling several times to make a reservation, but no one answered, and one call was even disconnected. Their website also only allows reservations for up to four people, even though they clearly accommodate larger celebrations for friends and families. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and in person service were amazing. I would definitely recommend this place and will be back!

I didn't read or listen carefully enough that the skirt steak with sauteed onions and bell peppers are covered in Spanish sauce. The sauce is actually quite tasty with a little kick. I used it and the salsa to flavor the black beans. However, I really just wanted grilled steak. I should have ordered steak fajitas, a grilled steak burrito or quesadilla, or a carne asada plate. The Steak a la Chicana was a generous portion, which is definitely 2 meals for me. Cilantro rice wasn't anything special. The SWEET CORN TAMALITO is yummy comfort. Choice of beans: refried beans, black beans, or pinto beans. I suspect refried beans is the tastiest option. El Tapatio would be a great gathering place for friends and family. I visited this past Saturday and it was quite busy inside like it always is. The restaurant is large enough to fit a lot of people, so finding a seat isn't an issue. To order, you line up in front of the register and wait until they call you. Once it was my turn, I ordered a Super Burrito with Al Pastor, which is my favorite protein choice there. Usually I order 2 tacos with my burrito but I was saving room for Korean bbq that day! The Super Burrito comes with your choice of meat, rice, beans, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. I also ordered a medium pineapple agua fresca, which paired perfectly with my burrito. After ordering, you're handed a number to take to your table so the servers know where to bring your food. As I'm waiting for my food, I helped myself to the self-serve chip bar. The chip bar is my favorite thing about the restaurant besides the food and quick service. I always get loads of both the white and red pickled onions, and some salsa to go with my chips. They offer many sides to choose from so that anyone can customize their meal to their liking. The pickled onions have the perfect level spice and acidity to them which helps with cutting down the greasiness you may get from a burrito. I also like to snack on them for fun too! The food comes out extremely quickly. When I finished placing my order and brought my number to my table, I went to the self-serve bar right after to get some chips. Not even 2-3 minutes later, I came back to my table with my burrito already there! The burrito was absolutely delicious and piping hot. It's the perfect size for me and eating it with the pineapple agua fresca and some chips makes it a perfect meal! Coming to La Favorita Taqueria is always a treat and I appreciate the quick customer service, self-serve bar, and delicious food! I highly recommend the Al pastor as your protein choice and honestly you can't go wrong with anything on their menu!

They didn't just walk by like frazzled, hurried workers like most restaurants pushing through the crowds. They actually gave me a nice smile and said welcome, and then walked by. And then I got to the reception area found that there was already a pretty big crowd at around the 5:30 PM or so I guess a lot of early birds come to eat there on Sunday. The receptionist asked for how many and said you'd be like a 20 minute wait and there was chairs where people were waiting but it was only like a 15 minute wait. The server was fast with the chips and salsa and ice water and then soon the waiter came and took my order. He was really quick and witty, fun to talk to. What I really enjoyed was as the noise of the table Near quieted down and they left. I saw a young man cleaning up the table and getting it ready for the next group of people. He was dressed really nice and had a tie on. Having been in restaurants most of my life I said to myself, I bet you he works with the owners or something. And I said to him, are your related to people that own the place ? he said my parents own this place. He was very friendly and polite. He told me a tiny bit about the restaurant and how everything had been since 1970, much older than he was, he was only a sophomore in high school I think. I never really got his name, but I was kind of proud of him because he was working hard at his family's restaurant. I ordered probably something bigger than I could eat because I had to take leftovers home, but it was really a tasty meal, and they're coming out with more chips and salsa without being asked, probably didn't help as well as a second lemonade. It's really impressive when you have a well oiled machine and it appeared to me that the people that worked there seem to be happy so that's always a good sign of good management. Several years back, I worked in the restaurant industry doing maintenance and repairs so I went to a lot of different restaurants and saw a lot of things so I know what to look for. I'm definitely gonna come back when my brother and his wife come up from the Bay Area my friend Ivan he'll wanna go there for lunch or dinner I know.
