My French onion burger was fine, a little short on caramelized onions not a 21 dollar burger, and my salad had a slimy bit of lettuce in it, rather unpleasant. This Little Pig is a BIG gem! This place is now in my go-to rotation of a regular spot to eat on a Friday night, and for good reason! Absolutely tasty food every visit. This Little Pig was recommended as a place to try in my neighborhood group, so we decided to try it on a whim. While they were busy, we were still able to be seated outside after a 10 minute wait on a Friday night, so not too bad there. Come to think of it, every time we have dined here, it has been nice outside, so we have preferred to eat outside, so I can't speak for the indoor atmosphere, but eating outdoors is great on a warm spring, summer or early fall night. We usually try a new appetizer every time, but we've been stuck on the fried green tomatoes for a while. The perfect blend of flavors between the mango salsa, goat cheese, and tomatoes was heavenly! It is hard to try something new when this is so delish. I've been a big fan of the Trifecta BBQ Board, and my husband loves the Nashville hot combo. The BBQ board gives you a taste of their fried chicken (which is crazy good), "blueberry bacon bones" which are ribs with a delicious BBQ sauce, and smoked brisket. Add in some Mac N Cheese with it, and you have yourself the perfect BBQ dinner. I believe their fried chicken uses chicken thighs, which adds even more flavor. I wish I wasn't so full by the end of it that I could try a dessert, as it's hard to miss when people always order it while you're eating and it's a feast for the eyes, but the main course is so great and filling, I can't get myself to stop eating enough to try the desserts! read more

Incredibly rude and doesn't value loyal customers. been going to this place for ages, enjoyed alot of time and events here. Brunches, dinners, even ordered a turkey and pie one Thanksgiving. Attended the "Closing for COVID" night when ny shut restaurants down too. This year, I tried to book a res for New Years Eve. Restaurant canceled our res last minute because they didn't have enough staff due to covid infections... OK no big. It happens. I tried again for my bday several weeks later after they reopened. Boom, same thing. Last minute they dumped my res again due to covid. I didn't get upset and didn't complain, but that's not ideal. So they posted a Valentines Day event and my wife (appropriately) asked if this was a for sure event, as we'd had the two cancelations in a month. They decided to get real nasty and tell us they didn't need our future business. THIS is how they treat people who tried to spend two special occasions with them. Real class acts. I WONT be giving them future business and if you made it all the way to the end of my review, you shouldn't either. Also fun that they took down the post saying go somewhere else later because it made them look like jerks. read more

First time visiting the new location. Entering in through the bar area it was very large, with several TV's and a lively atmosphere! The hostess seated us immediately in a smaller dining area which was perfect since we were a party of 3. They were very short staffed so the hostess became our server. We were interested in trying a few items, fried green tomatoes, served with pepper jam and goat cheese were good, the wings were a good size, but a bit too smoky! Was super excited to try them out at their new location in Clarence Hollow. The parking is either on the street or behind the restaurant. The interior is decorated super fun and eclectically. We sat in the sawmill room which had pictures of all the local farms that contribute to the food served! I had one of the specials, branzini with risotto. The fish was so mild and I loved how lemony it was. I thought the risotto was a tad undercooked though. We also had an aperol spritz and a peach fizz. When I saw a mostly smoked meats menu I messaged the restaurant to see what woods they use as I have less common allergies and have reacted to fruit woods. I realized I couldn't have their bbq and was told they have "plenty on the menu that doesn't have smoked meats". When we arrived I was told my non smoked options were a burger or steak kabobs. This was less than ideal, but we were here for a birthday, so I ordered the kabobs. The rest of the table ordered ribs, prime rib French dip and the four square bbq board. We ordered the $10 bread basket and it was odd to me that it was all sweet options. It's seemed more of a brunch option if you ask me. There was a cinnamon bun, sweet corn bread and sweet biscuits with blueberry jam and butter. Service was ok. We did wait a little to get drink refills and the empty glasses stayed at our table for the duration of the meal. Everyone's food was ok, but we won't be coming back for dinner anytime soon. The ribs were described as ok. (Not fall off the bone). The prime rib was chewy and the steak kabobs were ok. I'd have liked to see the actual steak seasoned better while grilled. The desserts were delicious. We had the peanut butter cup (not I, the peanuts were smoked) and the Samoa ice cream cake was unique and delish! I would have liked to try the fried chicken and don't understand why that was also smoked.... After our meal we had a cocktail at the bar and I liked the bar atmosphere. This year, while, yes, we are in a pandemic, I attempted 2 (almost 3) big holidays/events this year. I attempted to go on New Year's Eve - they closed last minute/same day, I attempted a second go with my family who would need to drive 3 hours to come up here to Buffalo for my husbands birthday- they closed again. So yes, I did ask if they actually planned on being open for Valentine's Day! But who would have thought that expressing a little disappointment and a question could result in such a nasty, vulgar response? Well, it is a free country so as they wish, I will take my business elsewhere and my thousands of dollars, friends, family, peers, etc. To new memories at businesses that actually treat their customers with respect and allowed to have opinions. (Oh, they've also blocked me on their Facebook and removed these posts from their Facebook! So happy I took screenshots when they did. Apparently there's only freedom of speech when it's a 5 star, no negative opinions!) It's a shame this place has decided to sink so low and is a much bigger disappointment than I expected. During the times of uncertainty, many businesses are going under and wish they had recurrent customers. Mean while, this place throws them out like garbage for having a question/opinion. The food and service were excellent. I ordered the salmon and it was good - not the best I ever had but I liked it. However, what stole the show was my son's meal. He had the crab grilled cheese and meatloaf . Both were amazing. Best meatloaf I ever had and that was totally unexpected because I don't order meatloaf out. It had a smoky bacon flavor and the spicy sauce they topped it with was the perfect touch. The kids enjoyed their meals as well - cheeseburger and I think sliders. My 13 year old daughter didn't like the seasoning on the fries so if you have a picky kid, you might want to ask for no seasoning. My 4 year old loved them with the seasoning. The potato pancakes were also very good. We had a chocolate peanut butter dessert that fed all four of us and we loved it. The coffee cake was out of this world. I can't wait to go again. read more

Boy was I disappointed. The wings were just meh nothing special. The seasoning on the fries were really good however they were fried way too hard for my liking. Now moving on to the the BBQ special, which was full of fat. The ribs were SO fatty I couldn't even enjoy it. The pulled pork was very mushy, plus the flavor to me (honey mustard sauce) was not good. I give this restaurant 1 star due to the attitude of the chef/owner. We have eaten at this restaurant on numerous occasions- and the 1 time we had an issue with a meal and send it back he takes offense. My guest ordered the rib eye (on my recommendation) as well as myself , because it has been good in the past. Unfortunately today the cut of beef was more fat and tough than usual, so it was sent back. The chef/owner made a point of coming to our table with a printed sheet of paper (printed from his North American Meat Processors (NAMP) book ) explaining the cuts of meat and said "this is what' a rib eye is, so you are educated on your meat selection" "Thank you for wasting "$100 of meat" Wow!!! Does he truly believe he is the only person who knows QUALITY food. When we left I tried to explain we have had this meal many times and it was good, but today was sub par and I'm sorry we sent it back - "Obviously you know more than a seasoned chef/butcher " Wow again. I had an awesome first time experience. Across the board everything was phenomenal; food , service, atmosphere. I went as a party of 3, we left truly stuffed and satisfied for 50 dollars each ! That included two bottles of wine, 3 appetizers, a pizza, dessert and the tip/tax ! Unbelievable. This place was really hit or miss - what was good was really good and what was bad was not great. On the good side was the brisket sandwich! The sandwich itself was delicious and the toppings of pickles and onions were perfect. The fries were also great! The barbeque board was also amazing. Again the brisket was perfect but what really stood out were the delicious sides. For drinks, the sangria was really good! On the not-so-good side was the summer salad which I found too sweet. The menu also has several mac and cheese options and we tried the banana pepper one. The serving was huge and the first few bites were tasty - but after that, you realize it has a bit of a gritty texture to it. The berry mojito was particularly bad - there was almost no mint and it tasted like slightly berry flavored water. Overall, if you order well this restaurant could be a great experience! read more

Within our group we tried the "barbecue board" - a meat lovers delight with the BEST sausage; burgers (with fresh cut fries that are worth the calories!) and the pork and pierogi plate (homemade pierogi and chicken jus that easily requires you to just grab that spoon and drink every drop!). I had heard good things about This Little Pig, in particular their brunch so I was excited to come here on a Sunday morning. This Little Pig is tucked away in a plaza on Transit Road. Walking in, I was very impressed with the decor which had a trendy feel. I came for brunch, although they do have other menus when they are not serving brunch. The brunch menu offered a wide variety of dishes. I went with the Apple Cider mimosa which was quite tasty! We ordered thinking it was bottomless but were informed by our waitress after that it is only their regular mimosas. I wish we'd known that prior to ordering because they were both similarly priced! For my main dish I went with the Shrimp and Crab Cake Benedict. The presentation was fabulous! The taste of all the dishes was just delicious. The shrimp and crab cakes were just perfectly blended and not too fishy tasting. The poached eggs and hollandaise sauce pulled the whole dish together. It also came with fresh fruit and home fries which were very we seasoned. My date got the chicken fried chicken which I had a bite of. The chicken was fried so perfectly with delicious gravy and a home-bakes biscuit. Overall I was delighted with this unique restaurant with a delectable brunch and great service. I had been wanting to visit since it's opening and finally brought the family last weekend. I went all in and had the combo plate with sides of Mac 'n cheese and baked beans. This was our second visit here and we decided to go for brunch this time. I have been hearing a lot of great reviews about this their offerings on the weekends, so we finally checked it out ourselves. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich. The chicken wasn't as juicy as I imagined it would be. (I've had the fried chicken at Toutant, which is unbeatable in my mind). But the biscuit was nice and fluffy. The gravy tasted a bit bland to me, which was surprising since there was a decent amount of sausage in it. I saw others with the same dish have fruit on the side, but mine was missing it. The waitress gladly brought me over a cup of fruit when I asked about it. The others at my table enjoyed their meals. The fancy scrapple was salty and flavorful. The French toast of the day was stuffed with peanut butter and marscapone and topped with bananas, bacon, whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate sauce. It was a combination that couldn't be beat! We were waiting for another one to arrive before we ate, but it was still warm when she got there! The chicken was crispy and cooked perfectly for fried chicken. She ordered the garlic mash potatoes and macaroni and cheese as the 2 sides. Both were tasty. The mash potatoes had the garlic flavor without being overpowering. Before I even get into the meals, I have to take a moment of silence for the bread, because I killed it. It's so soft and delicious. Now, we got Pierogi with Burnt Ends as a starter. It was good but; I think we will try something else next time. Our entrees were Ribs and The Whistle Pig - house-made farmhouse sausage burger piled with pulled pork, bacon, fried egg, smoked gouda, shaved red onion and pickles. Simply put, it was duh-mazing! I love the ribs; you can taste the smoke and the blueberry sauces are freaking crazy. My only issue is that I wish there was a better beer selection. I always say that you should have a few local beers, like Resurgence, Froth; I even like the Young Lion addition. Make sure that you have your light beers as well, like Coors and Labatt but you should also try to add some globally popular beers. Beers that rate a 4.0 or higher on Untapped. Try to get something that you may be the only place to have it within 15 - 20 miles. Maybe Equilibrium, Tree House or Mortalis. Besides that, we loved it here. We will return. read more

We were excited to get a reservation for a table on the patio for our anniversary. Upon arrival we were greeted at the hostess station and could see the inside looked really cute. Once Covid is over we look forward to dining inside and enjoying the charming ambiance with friends. For those that prefer outdoor dining the patio is large and had a variety of table sizes for various groups. We started with some delicious cocktails, the blueberry mule and passion fruit margarita, and some apps. We tried the piggy pipe bombs and the corn zucchini cakes. Both were out of this world! The piggy pipe bombs are a must for anyone coming for the first time. The corn and zucchini cakes were light and had the perfect ratio of ingredients. They were topped off with a light cream and blueberry compote which added some richness to a light dish. We also tried the trifecta barbecue board which had ribs, a crispy chicken thigh and pulled pork. We felt the chicken thigh was the real winner here. It came out hot and has the perfect amount of fat and crunch. The pulled pork was very juicy and flavorful and definitely an upgrade to other versions I've tried elsewhere. The ribs had good flavor but were a little dried out in our opinion. We chose summer veggies and the pimento Mac and cheese as sides. The Mac and cheese was creamy and tasty but we were wishing for a little more pimento flavor. The staff was attentive and wore masks, we felt there were a lot of safety precautions in place for everyone's well being. There are different specials here every night and they have different things going on here all the time, check them out on social media. Great restaurant with a slightly different point of view on classics. It was very refreshing to try new things. We look forward to coming back in the future. read more

Another late birthday dinner from a friend! First of all, I loved the ambience, I wouldn't have expected that from an establishment in a strip mall. The menu is innovative and fun! We decided to try the French fry appetizer with Dill seasoning and this delicious aioli (not pictured, we ate it as soon it arrived) I washed it down with a Mojito ,super refreshing (although steep at $12) . Then out came our Pizzas.... my friend ordered a traditional cheese and sausage while I got one cleverly named A Pie Called Quest..... pepperoni, sausage, banana peppers, hot pepper stuffing, arugula..... spicy and full of flavor, I ended up bringing 2/3 of it home. This Little Pig has so much potential, but the service is consistently poor. We have tried this restaurant several times now, but we have not yet had one positive experience in terms of service. On our most recent visit, we were seated quickly but waited an incredibly long time for a server. When we were finally greeted, we placed a drink order and then waited over fifteen minutes for drinks. A new server finally came and took our brunch order. Many of the menu items were sold out. The food we got was good but not great. The pork on the Whistle Pig was burnt, but otherwise it was fine. I keep thinking they are working out the kinks, but they have been open long enough for these easily fixable problems to be addressed. read more

I can generally get a good vegetarian option almost any place I go BUT This Little Pig, like many restaurants now, has switched from black bean or other veggie burger to only beyond burgers. News flash: a lot of people do not eat meat because they don't like it! I don't want to eat a veggie burger that looks, smells and tastes like meat. If I liked meat...I'd eat meat. PLEASE restaurants of all types....please please please do away with beyond burgers (you sell meat and serve meat burgers for those that love meat) go back to veggie or black bean options for the alternative. This Little Pig is a GREAT gem in the Northtowns. I made a reservation for brunch (ONLINE too which is always a plus.) The menu is what attracted me in the first place. Lots of variety, good portions, and a great deal on bottomless mimosas. A single mimosa is $10, which for a champagne flute is a bit steep. So, the $2 upcharge for bottomless just seems economical. They have a few specials which is a nice ad to any menu. I decided to go for the special that day - Smoked salmon and goat cheese sweet potato hash. It came with a fried egg, so it rounded out the dish nicely. I think their sweeter menu options, like the french toasts would be a bit more favorable. The hashbrowns are your standard cubed potato, not my particular favorite, but seasoned well. I'd come back for the burgers, and other options. The service is great, and the space is super cute. Our table of 5 tried various items off the brunch menu, including my attached photo of their eggs Benedict meal. NOMS! The buscuit it's on is homemade and absolutely scrumptious. The Canadian bacon is thick, not the pre-cut thin circles you get at the store, and he hollandaise wasn't overloaded or overpowering. The home fries are also DELISH.
