Dr Rogers is a kind and welcoming person however on the other side of it is the staff will be nice at first but until last few years and till now I will not be return to this optometry office or recommend this place. I've Had my final bad experience with that staff of ladies. Ordered new eye wear frames that they advised would be what I was looking for. The test was when I received my new eyeglasses seem to fit just right until I attempted to use my eyewear that was very costly Frame with eye proscription did not measure up. My proscription is for distance and lower portion for reading. I had to lift up head to use the reading part of the RX while am working on a computer screen which gives me neck ache that can over time cause more damage. After speaking with the staff (woman) who answers the phone which could be 1 of 3 staff employees told me they would not exchange the frame and the dimensions they used were only slightly off from what I requested. The option she provides to make this horrific eyewear experience right was to just refund the amount and the manner tone she gave was firm and not pleasant and would have to come in office within 4 days. A refund was not the answer to my problem I just needed it fix and not to my expense. Other option was they can raise the reading portion of the proscription they I'll be then dealing with my distance which is a driving motor vehicle issues since I need that for distance. This is poor experience and will have to cease from this establishment/business with them if they cannot fix and order me the frame but they will not exchange the frames out in any event. Am guessing they don't care if a customer is dissatisfied even when it's not that consumer fault. Even though the web site says and I quote "We take pride in making sure our patients are fully satisfied with the services we provide" is a false statement on their part. Good luck. read more

I've been going to Dr. Rogers for more than 10 years now. Everyone in the office is personable and helpful, and I've relied on their opinions when picking out glasses and learning to wear contacts. There was even a time when I lost my last pair of contacts while waiting for a delayed new order (and didn't have updated glasses to get me through), so I went to the office first thing in the morning and explained my problem. They were able to find me a pair that was almost an exact match to my prescription! Miracle workers. The worse eye Dr. I've ever been to. He messed up my prescription not only one time but two I couldn't see my computer I couldn't see my work and I had to wait almost a month to get this corrected. He re-examined me for a second time and messed up again so I had to go somewhere else to get my prescription finally right.It seems that maybe he doesn't do young clientele only elderly are older people but I will never ever go back to him ever again it was A horrible experience at the worst time in my life they were not apologetic he did not get on the phone and apologize all they did was give me a refund and called it a day. I feel extremely confident in his skills in eye care, and I find him to be a kind, caring, and good-natured gentleman. He has always been a great listener as I voice how my vision is and is genuine in working with me towards clear sight! The staff in the office has always been super pleasant and helpful, especially Lisa who has been there longer than I have been a patient. Although I moved an hour away from Dr. Rogers' office twenty years ago, I continue to travel to his office for my yearly eye exams. Dr. Rogers is kind and patient when giving you explanations. This is in response to Mr. Steve G's review of Dr. Rogers office staff. I was in the office when you came in and the version you have created on Yelp is not exactly the way things occurred. I never witnessed the staff ignore or be rude to you throughout your ordeal. You appeared to be unhappy from the time you walked in until you left. I understood part of the conversation that you may have not been notified of receiving your glasses on time, but it is only a minor thing. To imply that the staff was rude or inconsiderate to your needs is really wrong. You should not post things to damage a business because you had a bad day. See all other reviews. Roger I'm so glad to see some other people claiming they were given the wrong prescription when i said I'm going to see my ophthalmologist DEFENSIVELY said you cant see him he is no longer there i said he is not there because he retired the business is still there having 4-5 doctors..i took the prescription to be filled to two labs and both MADE ME 2 different pairs of glasses the same problem with both pairs of both labs the second lab really try so hard and nothing worked..i was told to go back to dr. I've been going to Dr. Rogers for 9 years now. This year, I won't be going back. It's not due to Dr. Rogers. He is fantastic - always professional, friendly and in a good mood. His office staff is perpetually cranky, especially his senior manager who's been there for years. Who wants to go visit cranky women? And then there's the selection of glass frames. If I was 10 or 80, this would be the Optometrist for me. I've suffered through trying to pick out anything hip, cool or even remotely trendy for years now. What pisses me off the most is when the ladies show me one of their posters with cute frames and then tell me they don't carry those frames. ??? So this year I'm trying out a new Optometrist. I only wish Dr. Rogers would get a fresh selection of frames to boost his business and give his staff some happy pills. Oh! And giving customers complimentary glass shining wipes or glass cases once in a while would help too. read more

Let me start off by saying while I'm not a patient of Dr. Rogers currently that may change soon. I'm a special education teacher and I also do home teaching. My home schooled student has significant health issues preventing them from going out in public but their glasses needed adjustment desperately. I called Dr. Rogers office and spoke with Lisa. I explained that my student was homebound but needed their glasses adjusted. After speaking with Dr. Rogers, Lisa called me back and made an appointment to do a house call. Lisa came to my student's house and brought all her tools. She took her time and got their glasses adjusted perfectly. Thank you to Lisa and Dr. Rogers for this service. It's becoming increasingly difficult to find sincere health care professionals who don't treat patients like an ATM machine or use tricks and scare tactics to try to get you to pay for services you don't need or at prices higher than market value, and I know because I've been burned many times in the last 10 years or so. I lost my glasses so I made an appointment with Dr. Rogers. What a cool guy! Very knowledgeable and most definitely knows his craft. I felt extremely comfortable and enjoyed his sense of humor. But most of all, he has my best interest in mind and I know this for a fact. After he wrote my eye glass script, he recommended me to go to Walmart for a "cheap" pair until my insurance would pay for a better pair, in two months. I'll be back here for sure. I'm really glad I was recommended to see Dr Rogers. I have been to his office about 6 times (2x exams, additional visit to pick out frames, 3x pick up frames) for myself in the past 2 years and its always a smooth experience. Dr Rogers is very personable and funny...and the three ladies (Eileen, Lisa and Sarah) working there have always been nice to me. I had also been there a couple of times with my daughter including the first time she was getting contacts. We call Dr. Rogers for an emergency, as our normal optometrist had already left for the day. We had never been to his office, but knew it was close to our usual optometrist. Something flew into my son's eye, and we could not get it out! Dr. Rogers was literally on his way out the door when we called, but he stayed so he could look at my son's eye. We arrived about 10 minutes later, and found Dr. Rogers to be personable, friendly, and efficient. We thanked him profusely for sticking around for us, and it is a good thing he did! Dr. Rogers extracted a piece of metal from my son's eye!! It was a very simple and quick and painless process. It just shows what kind of caring doctor he is because he was about to go home for the night, but waited around to see a patient that wasn't even his own. Much appreciated!!!!! read more

I even emailed them the appointment request asking if anyone would contact me and still no one has. Why do they even have an online system if they do not look at it? I first came here in 2012 and had a great experience, came back in late 2016 because my Silhouettes didn't feel as sharp as they had been, and sure enough Dr. Rogers did a digital scan, then the phoropter, showed me my old prescription and compared it with my new one, now I know I wasn't imagining things and my vision has never been sharper. I usually don't post negative feedback on yelp about businesses I choose to avoid doing business with in the future. In this case, I am breaking my own rule. We have been patients of Dr. Rogers for many years. We have referred many others to Dr. Rogers because of our previous good experiences. Dr. Rogers continues to be an outstanding optometrist. However, the experience I had with members of his staff on Friday leaves me looking for a new optometrist. I ordered new lenses for an existing frame a few weeks ago. I was told that I would be notified when they arrived for pick up. I did not get the notification I was told I would be getting and I went into the office on Friday. Sara waited on me and I could immediately tell by her greeting and body language that she was not going to provide me with my normal good experience. I asked her if my glasses were in yet and she looked it up and was able to find them. I asked her how long it had been since they arrived and she told me that they had been in for approximately 2 weeks. I told her that I was told I would be notified and that I was not. She explained that they only send electronic messages and that they had done that for me. I asked her where the message was sent and she gave me a number that had no correlation to mine. She offered no apology for the error or expressed any regret that it had occurred. She basically shrugged her shoulders with complete indifference to this inconvenience. I asked her why there had been no other attempt to reach me (perhaps comparing my number to my wife's contact info or past records? email? facebook message?) and I got no reply. Only more indifference that reminded me of what you would get from a 16 year old at a fast food place when you tell her your order was wrong....again. Sara then handed me my glasses with a cloth and a candy bar. She made no attempt to fit the glasses to me or take any other pro-active attempt at making sure an obviously unhappy, loyal patient was now satisfied. I said to her are you going to make sure they fit? Her reply was to ask me if I wanted her to do that. All this time, her senior colleague, Lisa, did nothing to get involved when it was Lisa who took the original order and did not verify my correct number or set the expectation that I would only receive an electronic communication and not a courtesy phone call when the glasses came in! Lisa simply allowed Sara to continue to alienate a loyal patient. I finally asked for Lisa's assistance and she didn't even bother to get up from where she was sitting. It was if I was a problem and they wanted me to go away. Lisa's response when I asked for assistance consisted of saying "what do you need?" and then explained their new system to me from her comfortable chair in the corner. Apparently, whatever she was doing was more important than taking care of the frustrated patient. Now that I was fitted, Sara let me know that we were concluded. When I asked her if I got a case to go with my glasses, she replied "do you want one?" I told her I wanted a case assuming that a case comes with the glasses. She got me a case and I left. I called back a short time later to get the name of the person who gave me such poor service. Lisa answered the phone and very curtly asked if there was something she could do for me. I asked her to have Dr. Rogers call me. So far, no call. I would be surprised if Dr. Rogers even got the message. I miss the days when Dr. Rogers staff showed as much care and concern for the patient as he does. There was a time when the staff would go above and beyond to make sure the patient was satisfied. It appears those days are gone and so are my appointments and referrals with Dr. Rogers office. 9/6/16: UPDATE: I received a very nice call from Dr. Rogers today who was genuinely interested in my experience. I am not surprised that he cares because that is the kind of professional that kept us coming back for years. His staff really let him down on this one. read more

My entire family has been going to Dr. Rogers for years and we love this office. Dr. Rogers is always so nice and very funny but also very helpful and professional. The office staff has always been very helpful and friendly to us. My husband who never wore glasses, had an injury to his eye that now causes him to wear a single contact. Dr. Rogers has really helped my husband find the right contact that works for him. When my children were around 5, I started bringing them in to the office too and they love how Dr. Rogers jokes around with them and is interested in them. For a couple of years, our insurance changed and we had to go to a different Dr. and this year we were so happy to be able to return to Dr. Rogers' office. We have never had any problems at all.
