This is the ONLY place I trust to get my brows done (no matter the state). They clean everything--eyebrows and upper lip. You always have the opportunity to check their work. I really like this place. Drop-in's are welcome. I've been going to Threading Plus to have my eyebrows threaded for two months now. They look great! The estheitician is very detail oriented and really listens to your requests. No threading place is going to get every little hair, but this estheitician comes close to it. She also told me that with my facial structure, I could stand to make my brows a little thinner. I welcomed the suggestion. The salon is clean, and conveniently located. I've never had to wait... which makes me worry that they don't get a lot of business.... which is why I'm writing this review. I end up paying $12 including tip. Ive only gone to a middle eastern woman in the suburbs, but I had to find a place in the city closer to me. Ashi was quick, only used thread (no tweezers), and had my eyebrows looking perfect- sharp as ever and did not thin them out. So glad I discovered this place! read more

The place is great and relaxing. I have been coming here for years and have always had a great experience and service. However, I went in the other day and came out with the thinnest eyebrows in existence. I wanted to cry. It may be my fault because I did not specify but she should have asked. I figured since I'm a regular, she'll know that I like them shaped but not thin. In the past, I never had to tell them. Well I came out with pointy-clown brows. I'm not being mean. I am just so sad. Now, it will take another year to grow out my brows. I already have awful brows naturally. I ran to Sephora to get the brow wiz. I cannot even look in the mirror and feel comfortable without brow makeup for these brows. They are nice and clean but they are so thin and pointy! Moral: do not assume... Try to be as specific as possible. I will now cry and find somewhere else to go. Giving them 2 stars makes me so unbelievably sad... Update: after filling in my brows, they are not too bad. I'm still sad but they look nice with make-up. read more

I went in for threading and it wasn't very thorough. I had to do a lot of cleanup when I got home, as it looked as though one of my eyebrows had been done only about halfway. It was a nice start to getting rid of unwanted and start eyebrow hairs, but I went in hoping they'd take care of it and they didn't. read more

I looked this location up and saw that she had great reviews, and so I decided to give her a try! She does a great job with eyebrows, trust me...i'm picky! She is definetely customer focused. Love this place. It's a little more pricy than the burbs but well worth the couple bucks considering what an amazing job Asha does. She is very patient and accommodating. The first time I went to her I asked her to keep my brows thick and she was so sweet she didn't have the heart to tell me I don't have "thick" brows so instead she did her best to keep them thick, showed me a mirror and when I wasn't pleased she explained what she would recommend and then proceeded. Asha used to be my go-to eyebrow threading queen. I had a terrible experience with someone else a few years ago that caused me to flee however, so I honestly stopped coming here. The problem I found is that it's a hit or miss experience depending on the person, which doesn't work for me. I don't want to have to always call ahead and ask for Asha's availability. What I do like about Threading Plus is that they are open on Sundays and conveniently located to me. There's a small parking lot in the back, which I always find a spot in so I can run in and out. The place was okay. As mentioned by another reviewer, it was sort of annoying that she kept on snapping the thread. My eyebrows came out nicely but I did mention I wanted it thick but she took out more than I wanted. All in all, it was a good first experience having just landed in Chicago. Not bad. read more

My first experience ever with threading was a great one. I was a dedicated waxer, but then I had enough of the bright redness afterwards. The owner did my eyebrows perfectly! She asked about how I liked them (medium thickness) and went to work. Best they have ever looked!!! Minimal redness and almost no pain.... I waited to post this until I went back a second time - even better experience because now my eyebrows are in good shape and only need a clean up. I am so happy I found this place. read more

Definitely gets the job done! My normal place for eyebrow threading is closed Mondays so I came here for a touch up. The lady did a great job so yay! She definitely followed my natural shape and they looked good. Not the best eyebrow threading experience I've ever had but definitely a good one and a very skilled threader. My eyebrows are very slightly uneven but that's ok because I know mine are difficult since they grow differently. The shape is perfect, but the threading was more painful than I've had before and the price is higher than the place I go to in the suburbs that only charges $6. But I suppose the $10 they charge here is ok because it's the city. read more

This place is so unbelievably close to where I live, I couldn't resist. I used to live in India as a kid and my mom discovered threading when we lived there and never looked back. So, naturally I had to give it a try. I've been in there twice and the first woman did a much better job threading my eyebrows than the second. I guess it all depends who's working that day. Both were very soft spoken and very swift. They will massage lotion into your eye area and temples as well, free of charge. $10 well spent. read more

Don't take your eyebrows anywhere else! For $10 you'll be in and out within a few minutes with perfectly sculpted brows. I've gone elsewhere a few times (out of town or for a special) and always regretted it. You can make appointments but I normally just walk in and I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes. At most they have two chairs running, so if you're in a hurry, you may want to call ahead. There are two comfy couches to sit on if you have to wait. The women who work here are kind and friendly and both do an impeccable, quick job. They'll offer you a nice little temple massage with lotion or aloe vera gel at the end, too. I've only ever had the eyebrow threading done, so I can't speak to their other services, but I've only heard good things. Credit cards accepted, but they prefer cash for tip. read more
