Best salon I've ever been to ! no Joke! I'm very pocky with my nails and they dis an incredible job on my nails and my daughters. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but once you enter is a beautiful princes fairy garden were you feel pampered and taken care of. This is the first time ever I did not feel like the staff was critical of me in their language which I can always tell in other places. Everyone was friendly and spoke very good English. They have and incredible selection of nail polishes. A lot that I have never seen such as translúcidas or stone like colors. My daughter counted over 2600 different nail polishes!!! This nail salon was just okay to me. The pricing on their website is not what you will actually be charged. It was much more expensive when I went to check out. I chose Dazzle Dry polish, which I normally have good luck with. Unfortunately, my manicure chipped the next day, which was frustrating because I'm very careful with my hands. I felt like the service just didn't live up to the price. If I'm paying over $120 for a mani/pedi, I would like to have a little more of a luxe experience. It felt like there was just a lack of attention to detail - hot towels and parrafin applied way too hot, the chipping the next day, etc. If you need a basic mani/pedi, I think you will have a good experience. But for me, the experience just didn't live up to the price tag. read more

First, I've been coming here since high school, which is directly across the street from this location and this was the worst experience I've ever had. First I called to set my appointment an hour and 45 minutes beforehand. The lady at the front that's always been there with a short hair that speaks English is always very nice, but I was being overcharged and then the employee was acting like she didn't understand or couldn't speak English, which has never happened because everyone they speak some kind of English that's understandable to everyone. So first being overcharged and then being told that I should've done my pedicure first if I want it regular polish because it takes longer to dry mine do it only takes 20 minutes to dry and they close at 8 PM. I was told this at 7:10 PM a whole 50 minutes.. then a woman walks in and wants her hands in her feet done she gets serviced immediately two people doing her hands one person doing her toes and she walks in at 7:40 PM even after I left directly at 8 PM to get food I came back and noticed that she was still in there at 8:35 yet she wasn't rushed or told she should've done a different service first even though I made it very clear over the phone in person into the nail technicians that I was getting regular polish on my feet and I was told each time that they were going to do my nails first which was fine. We had enough time.. I don't appreciate being discriminated upon. I spent money in here bunches of dollars thousands of dollars over the course of eight or nine years to try to be overcharged for something that I knew was very incorrect and then to be given an attitude over a decision that the manager made when upon me walking in, will not be returning here which is very sad cause I've been a long-standing client read more

If you want a place where nothing works and you're constantly being upcharged for a mediocre pedicure, this is the place. The first chair my friend sat in, the massage chair didn't work at all. When we moved, the next chair's bubbles didn't work--and when the massage did turn on, it was one of the weakest massage chairs I've ever used. You could barely feel anything. When we were seated, none of the lower-priced pedicure options listed on their website were available--we had to remind them they existed. During my service, the technician started applying a polish that she recommended and only after she began told me it would be an extra $10. It wasn't gel and did nothing special. For $50, I got a pedicure I could have easily done myself at home. I think I have given myself a better spa feel at home than this place read more

THIS IS THE BEST NAIL SALON IN CHICAGO!!! Everyone is so friendly, the space is aesthetic and clean, they understand all my requests and have always executed them perfectly. Im honestly very picky with my nails and i definitely annoyed quite a few nail techs, but I have been going to J's for over 2 years now, and I have NEVER felt like I'm doing too much or being annoying. I just love this place. literally will never go anywhere else as long as I am in the Chicago area. Especially Sunny she's amazing. Their point system is actually ben to me too, I've already gotten over $100 off from it. Overall 10/10. Feels like a family. I was in town for a conference and had a nail emergency and needed a simple manicure. Saw this place on Yelp, called them at 6pm and probably arrived closer to 6:20pm (they close at 7!) and they were kind enough to squeeze me in. Lily was my nail tech and she was very patient, let me try on multiple colors and didn't rush me at all even when all of her coworkers were packing up for the day. Very detailed cuticle job as well. This salon does a good job at nails, a little inconsistent with the nails techs as some do a better job than others. What I don't like about this salon is that they are always trying to convience me to do a fill set instead of my no Chip nails. Every-time I come, I have to have the same conversation and say NO at least 3 times. It's really annoying . Then they give me an attitude when they're confused about what to do to my nails since we have to go back and forth each time since they are trying to convience me to do a more expensive treatment. I came in to have my nail repaired because the set I had was lifting on my left thumb. I showed the tech twice that the gel overlay was lifting. I also told her multiple times in separate statements that, MY NAIL LENGTH ARE BECAUSE OF MY NATURAL NAILS. WHY DID THAT LADY CUT OFF MY NAIL?!!!! My nails are long and with no conversation about it she cut my freaking nail off. There was nothing I could say or do because she did it quickly and with no regard. I was in utter shock that she did that, I said something so that she was aware but she seemed to not care or have any remorse, then said my nail was cracked. I had a small notch on the free edge of my nail because the hard gel was lifting and caused a bend if I used my hand too heavy, ie why I was repairing it! A LITTLE side piece was nicked, this was not a bases to cut the whole entire nail off, it just needed to be shaped inwards and new hard gel. Again nothing I can do about the nail being gone (5+ months of growth mind you). I am upset about it being cut off but on top of that, the fake nail that was put on LOOKS TERRIBLE! It's been a full 24 hours and every time I see this nail I get triggered at the sight. It doesn't look good and between the fake tip and my nail, there is a THICK amount of glue. I paid $15 for this service, one nail. Again, this was a repair service for lifting hard gel NOT a broken nail (because it wasn't broken). Had we discussed addressing the small nick on the side of my nail and I agreed to cutting it off, I would have told her I need a toe nail tip. My thumbs are large and have require toe nail tips since childhood... so now the nail looks disproportionately narrow. The whole situation is just baffling to me, can't comprehend why she would do that. read more

I really like this place. They actually pay attention so the shape of your nail and check if you like the color before doing it on all nails which I appreciate. Also if you're unsure of what color you want (which happens often) they help you pick! Everyone is friendly and the place is clean. I get a regular gel and it lasted almost 3 weeks and only luckily only chipped the day of my appointment. I also appreciate you can make an appointment online. I am only deducting one star because they charge $30 extra for chrome powder. I understand there should be an upcharge but $30 to rub chrome on your nails is exorbitant. read more

The best nail salon in town! I couldn't recommend more about the services that they provide! I have always addicted to the Pedi cure that they have. It says 90 minutes for the spa, but it always ends up with more than 100 minutes per session. Tried this salon multiple times. Each time, the nail techs repeatedly pressured me to buy more expensive services. I had multiple chips each time. What pushed me over was the last time I went, I repeatedly stated I did not want a pedicure and just wanted a polish change. I did not even accept the pedicure menu from the tech. The tech decided to simply do the pedicure despite me repeatedly asking for a polish change. When I went to pay, the front desk charged me for the full pedicure. I expressed that not only had I called ahead specifically asking for a polish change and not a pedicure, but had also repeatedly told my tech I didn't want a pedicure. The tech began yelling across the store that I asked for a pedicure. I paid fully for the services, but I will not be returning and I really recommend choosing a different salon. read more

They are not only very talented but they are so kind. Even though we came in late and they were closing soon, they didn't rush us at all. My pedicure was rushed through and she kept urging me to get acrylic when I repeatedly stated i wanted overlay. I got them done a week ago and the nail is already broken. I went to this nail spa since it was close to my hotel and had instant availability. The environment is very cute and nice aesthetics but service is only decent. My nail technician was Lily and she did mediocre job, I had to remind her several times to clean under neath the nail as she quickly cut the nail and moved on to paraffin treatments. They try to up charge you 70$ for a pedicure and 70$ for manicure with additional services alike longer massage but I really like when they shape the nail properly and clean and remove any dead skin. I have had much better pedicures at other places. The experience was not terrible and may try this place again perhaps with a different nail tech. read more

I always have a great experience here. I usually just walk-in and have only ever had to wait a few times because they have a big staff. I have been getting hard gel manicures ever since they introduced me to them and only have to get fills now. They have made my nails much stronger and are easier to maintain. It's been a while since I've last done a review, however, the amazing service at J blossom has made me come back to yelp! To begin, making an appointment is simple and easy. I have never had issues within the last 3 years and they have always done amazing. I made an appointment by the phone for the next day and requested a nail technician that is comfortable with nail art. My nail artist ended up being Lin. I asked for recommendations for my nails based on the dress I will wear and inspo pictures. She did above and beyond the images I showed her. She was meticulous and very detail oriented. She made sure it would go well with my dress while also keeping my preferences in mind. I requested short almond nails. She made sure I liked the length and shape before going on to the nail design. She did amazing and explained what she was doing. In addition, it seems like all the staff here enjoy working with eachother and attentively listen to their clients request. In addition the owner is very nice and showed me her nails. That inspired me with my design. I really enjoy the location with its close access to the L and bus 36. It also has a lovely interior design. The pink and floral designs elevate the location. Overall, I'm so happy and excited to show off my nails. I have been coming to J Blossom for about 2 years. It is a few blocks from my apartment which makes it super convenient. They have great hours, accept all walk-ins, and have a huge variety of colors. Amazing, right? Unfortunately, I recently had a terrible experience in which I will not be a returning client. So, I have always gotten no-chip manicures and have never had a problem anywhere else. (I also do not have a lifestyle/job where my nails would chip/peel/crack this easily) However, last week I got one before my vacation and they chipped/peeled within 3 days! When I returned from vacay, I went to the salon to tell them about my issue and they graciously offered to re-do them for me. They looked great, HOWEVER two days later they chipped again!?? Very upsetting experience, and not worth paying the money if they chip within days of getting done!? I will sadly have to part ways from J Blossom and go to a salon where their no-chip manicures last more than a few days.. read more

Spend an extra $20 and get a Russian manicure in the west loop. I've been getting gel nails the last year and they've never felt brittle or broken. I got my nails done here on Sunday and it's Wednesday and he'll had already come off and my natural nail had been broken- can't fix that and wouldn't want to come back here to do so. read more

It starts with pedicure services infused with aromatics, warm leg compress, paraffin wax and at least an 8 min massage per foot.
