I have bought my car and when I went through the paperwork I seen that by the time I'm going to pay off my 2019 Nissan I'm gonna end up paying 44,000 I went to my dad's friend. He owns a car dealership and he reviewed my paperwork and he told me that Three Amigos ripped me off with an extra $3000 plus they put in extra fees that they had charged me for for little stuff that supposedly my car has which it does not have. I have been a happy customer here for almost 20 years now. My first purchase was back in December of 1998 when they were located at a smaller place just up the road from where they are at now. I was originally set on getting a Yukon but ended up purchasing a 1994 Suburban at a very reasonable price. My wife and I had already done some shopping around at 5 or 6 other places but did not find anything we really loved until we went to Three Amigos. When making such a big purchase like a car it is very important to make sure it is something you love and can see yourself still feeling happy about many years down the road. That is exactly how I felt when we bought the Suburban that my family and I actually still own and use it to this day. We travel to Mexico often and when we decide to go by car or on any other road trips this is always the vehicle we take. I have found that their vehicles, when given proper care and maintenance, will last a long time. Since then I have also purchased an additional three vehicles from them. Five years later I went back and got an Altima and a Camry for my wife and myself. They both were also very good cars that lasted a long time with my wife having just gotten rid of her Camry only two months ago. My most recent purchase was just a little over two years ago when I decided to get myself a Honda Accord. I was not pressured into getting any vehicle I did not want and did not commit to anything until they got the car that I ended up buying. I had been talking to them for a few weeks already when they let me know that they had just gotten an Accord that fit my needs. I went in to go look at it and sure enough it was perfect. I got a very good price with an even better interest rate. When I had gotten the Suburban it was much higher but very understandable since I did not have good credit back then. Don't expect a low interest rate if you do not have the credit to back you up. The paperwork, as always, was quick and properly explained to me by one of the girls from the office. I also go to their service department whenever I need one of my vehicles detailed or even just for oil changes when I do not feel like doing them myself. First of all, this place is nothing like they advertise themselves to be. If you take a look at their website, you'd think they were as respectable as a used car dealership could be--but looks are definitely deceiving!! As a Latina, I personally think their focus is to market to the Latino population because they think that monolingual Spanish speakers or people who aren't aware of their rights are easy to take advantage of. The saddest part is that most if not all of the people working there are Latinos themselves!! They advertise low prices and when you get there, you realize the prices are actually like $5000 more. The vehicles they have are dented, scratched and dirty!! They don't even bother to clean out someone's old lunch from the glove compartment of a truck--smelled awful! The salesman are full of lies, promised one thing over the phone to get us to drive out there from the East Bay and completely changed the offer upon arrival. They're completely unprofessional as they had my fiancé sign a contract for a truck that laid out the terms such as the monthly payment, interest rate, etc. and then waited a month to tell him what they had originally put in the contract wasn't valid because they couldn't get the financing company to agree to the terms!! They want more money down. Since I work in the legal field, we had to threaten them with a law suit to adhere to the terms of the contract!! The sales rep tricked me into buying a lemon car which according to there report had zero recalls! I find out later by credit karma(keeps track of you car recalls as wel) that the vehicle had 4 safety recalls! On top of that the seller had said that the vehicle had a "minor" accident when traded it in, resulted that the whole side of the car had gotten hit and were full of van dough! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE! So, I went to buy a car and I just did not like how it ran. With that being said I came in today (currently the day right after I bought it) and I said I would like to return it and they said they would not give me my money back, and he ,the manager, kept on insisting to just switch to another car. He was great. I told him the situation and he showed me a few good options that fit what I was looking for right off the bat. If I could give this place negative stars I would, just to give you an idea of how awful it is. They target the Hispanic population mostly and those suffering from bad or no credit. They promise to having you drive out of there by all costs, and what costs those are! The salesman are continually promising you one thing after another, practically saying any nonsense to push you into a sales. Bought a car just last month. It took 3 sales men to apply the pressure. one after the other making up lie after lie. Oh boy where do I begin. We went there and nobody at all was there to help. The place looked empty from the start. We went inside and called for help but no response. We walked back there and the guy that dresses like the horrible mexican stereotype was sleeping. We woke him up and he told us that the other guy had to be somewhere, to continue looking. After almost half an hour we get a hold of the guy. I dont think he ever introduced himself just said what can I help you with. I was looking for a truck but the ones there cost as much as a brand new one, probably even more. He was getting angry that I couldnt make my mind up. I asked him if he would give me a reasonable price for the Chevy Silverado and he said to go inside with him. After sitting there for an hour he comes back and tells me he will run my credit. He comes in and tells me it is excellent and no problem getting the truck. Now he asks me what I want to pay for that truck. I showed him Kelly Blue Book and he laughs like I am some kind of idiot. He said thats for people who want to return their car for a new one and that didnt apply to their business. He actually ended up telling me it was 4k more than the original price because of taxes and license plates. I told him if he could leave it at the asking price including the costs of taxes and license plates. Again he gave me that stupid know it all laugh. He responded that license plates and taxes were the government and that he wasnt going to make any money out of them. I was done with him and told him thank you for your time. THE WORST PLACE EVER TO BUY A CAR!!!! I went to this place about 3 years ago, and regret so much going there because I purchased a car. The worst deal ever, they try to get you to sign a contract by promising things to you! ( If they promise anything keep a record of it make them sign papers as well). Well here is the story! I went to this place for a hope of buying a first car because i needed it for work and school. The sales associate that helped me out was Christobal don't remember his last name. This guy showed me a Silverado 1500 extended cab this truck needed some details to be fixed so he then starts saying we can fix anything with it and no cost to you! Plus promised me chrome rims. So i got it and the mileage was a ripe off for the price it had. I was exited at the time, didn't know much about cars. After a month with my truck the check engine goes off, I called the sales associate about the problem, He tells me that they can check it to see whats wrong with it but that their mechanics were closed for a couple of days and won't be able to check it until they are open, so then i asked him about the details that had to be fixed and and about the rims he had promised me, he says that " the parts and rims haven't arrived because they had ordered them and that it takes a while for them to get them''. I waited a couple of weeks to give him a call back about the problems, so finally i gave them a call and they tell me "he is no longer with the company and that they aren't able to give me what he had promised me, because he didn't sign anything". Christobal had told me he had written everything in the contract and didn't. - Then I get the airbag light to check it and somethings are falling apart =( (the bumper, the door handle, some interior stuff like the seat belt click thing broke from the back seat, the check engine light says its either the gas cap, mufflers or a sensor so now I'm trying to get rid of it because it's going to cost too much to repair) and looking at dealers that give me a descent amount for trade in. Even though i get sad because the money i paid for it, i will never get back. It was a bad experience never ever will i go to a place like this. After driving 100+ miles from the Bay Area to check out their inventory, I quickly got a bad feeling when they were quoting me prices that were thousands over KBB retail. When I busted out my iPhone and asked "Why is this Suburban $16,000 when KBB RETAIL says $11,500 and buying from a person would be under $10,000? Their reason "we get them from an auction, so if the person who owned it previously had it repo'd and owed a lot, we have to pay more to get it"... huh?? You're a car dealership, I KNOW you don't overpay for your vehicles... there is no personal attachment, so no reason to get an overpriced vehicle. After deciding a Toyota Sequoia was what we wanted, we found one that fit our needs... except for the price. Doing some quick searching on Craigslist and KBB, I decided that the total out the door cost could not exceed $15K... and even that was a bit over what we could find it for elsewhere. They said OK, $15k (claiming they would not make any money, but were willing to do it to gain a customer), but before buying, I wanted to look at another one down the road with less miles, more options, and a lower price. After looking at the other, I called back Three Amigos and told them that we decided to go with them. I had been preapproved through my credit uninion, but had not yet recieved the check. Long story short, I told them I could leave some money down and pay the full amount within 1 week... and I didn't even have to take the car until I paid. After them telling me they could get me a better rate than 5.99% and to come back the following day... I fell for it. They then increased the price to $15,500 and would not tell me what interest rate they could give me. Their excuse "as the car sits on our lot longer, the cost we need to recoup increases"... I felt tricked as though now that they had me drive 2 hours AGAIN, that I would surely fork over the extra $500... I said no, we agreed on $15k... they came back with other sneaky proposals until my wife and I went to talk to some guy who said he was the manager... he was even more rude and told us if we didn't want to buy it, then to leave... so we did. On the way out, some other sales guy comes to my car and says "I understand you want to buy the Toyota Sequoia" and I told him yes, but they had increased the price on us once we drove 2 hours... he said "tell ya what, I can get it for you for an out the door cost of $16,100"... to which I responded "that's even more than they were saying... we're leaving". It was like their last kick in the face as we were leaving. Marcos and Martin, you guys should be ashamed. Oh yeah, and they had also said that they could deliver it to me the first time we were there... but the second time we came... that was no longer an option, sales guy said he made a mistake by saying that. read more

This has to be the worst place to buy a used car from. The sales people don't know anything about the cars other than how to turn them on, gas and brake pedals. I went about 2 months ago on the end of September of 2012 because I was looking to purchase a car. I was looking around at several cars and asked the salesman helping me about the engine size of a few cars (4cyl, 6cyl or 8) and he didn't have a clue. Most of the stuff I figured out on my own by opening the hood and doing most of the stuff myself. The other issue is that most of the cars they have are NOT really checked properly for maintenance issues such as engine, transmission, shocks, alignment, etc... They only give you 1000 miles or 1 week warranty on the vehicle but on a used vehicle, that's usually not enough to find out all the cars problems. I recently bought a 2007 Impala LS, it looked nice, had a couple of scratches but I looked past that, 20 in rims, nice sound system... but that didn't stop there... I used the car to commute to and from work so that 1000 mile warranty went by quickly. As I found out, the shocks in the car need to be replaced, the transmission is slipping (like on most Impalas), the car also needs alignment, rotation, balancing plus a tune up. The car value is about $9000 Transmission rebuild about $3500 (putting in a used on would just cause the same issue needing to rebuild again, it's an Impala, go figure) Shock replacement on all 4 wheels? About $700 Rotation, alignment, balancing? About $300 That's about $4500 in repairs!!! Half the value of the car itself. I can't take my family anywhere in that road hazard without feeling that the back tires will blow out due to the bad shocks. The steering wheel shakes, the transmission slips and I've almost hit a couple of cars because of that issue. But that's not the worst part yet... They didn't smog the car... They called me on the phone 2 months later that the DMV is asking them to smog the car. As for what I've researched, it is illegal for most dealerships to sell a car in California without smog. They asked me to smog it and that they would reimburse me but I told them I wasn't going to smog that road hazard unless they fixed all those things. I understand if they would have sold me the car AS-IS then I figure it would be my responsibility to smog it and repair it but I NEVER saw it AS IS nor did they tell me so. I already talked to a lawyer and he advised me to talk with them first to see if they helped me out, if not then to let the lawyer know and proceed with legal action against that dealership.
