I had Hojicha latte which made from Japanese roasted green tea (hojicha), water, and milk. It had an interesting taste and flavor albeit abundant of healthy benefits. Staff were cordial and competent. Coffee list was modest but can grow more. Service was on point. Atmosphere was relaxing. Free Wifi. It was a hot hot hot day that w coated and inside was both cozy and spacious. An excellent place to get some work done, as many people were doing. Lots of laptops out, and I can see why. It's a very chill and welcoming environment here, with excellent drinks and a clean well-appointed bathroom (that also has goooooooood AC in it ). One of the new coffee shops that have popped up in Downtown Alhambra. Marketed as a work space type coffee shop. Three Fields is consistently packed with coffee ordered to go and limited seating due to all the patrons staying long periods on their laptops. We made it to the counter to order rather quickly but waited close to 10 minutes for our drinks. Good thing they aren't serving food. I can only imagine the wait time. The pastries and snacks they offer and pre-made and ready for immediate consumption. I can say that the service is great. The person taking our order was friendly and seemed happy to help. We got smiles when our drinks were ready on the counter as well, which was nice to see. Our order: - Iced Vanilla Latte with almond milk (no extra charge for milk substitute, but $1 charged for the vanilla syrup) - Houjicha Latte (also $1 charge to add a syrup sweetener) Would come back to work a little if it wasn't already crowded. We've made two visits to this local coffee shop. Once on Saturday when it was busy and another time early in the morning on a weekday. Both visits were great and only superseded by the quality of the coffee itself. The atmosphere is really chill. Open space and simple decor. Music playing was relaxing and the staff was nice. Yay for another new coffee shop in Alhambra! Located on Main Street with plenty of parking in the structure. The interior is calm, minimalist and cute. There are a lot of small tables along with communal table. WiFi password is right next to the register. The worker rang me up quickly and let me know milk alternatives were free which was nice! I opted for a iced hazelnut latte. The flavor syrup is an extra $1. I waited between 10-15 minutes for my drink which was longer than I expected as they only called 3 other names for pickup before mine. The coffee was smooth, not too bitter and had great flavor. It was a tad sweet but it was still delicious. They also sell their own beans and treats in the case at the front, but they didn't have a ton at 11am. read more

Great double matcha einspanner option in the SGV! It is ~$7 but definitely worth it for the quality and quantity of matcha. They don't fill their cups with ice unlike some other competitors. Finally got a chance to visit this past weekend, and ordered two drinks to test out. Matcha Latte - I ordered mine iced with oat milk and no sweetness. Taste wise, the matcha flavor is very light, but smooth. I do think the drink would benefit from having more matcha powder be added to be able to taste more matcha. Hot Americano - Very smooth. Did not taste burnt at all. It was at the very slightest acidic, but smooth regardless. I preferred this over the matcha latte. Canele - if you have never had a canele, I highly recommend it. Super crusty and crunchy exterior with a soft custardy interior; this unique dessert is a must try. I'm not sure if it is made inhouse, but I really liked it. Was not too sweet and have great flavor. I walked in and I was pleasantly surprised with how big the seating area is. I would definitely return to study or do work. Their menu doesn't have plentiful of options but I love that they have different flavors for you to add to your drinks. I got an iced houjicha latte and I've never tried it before. It has a toasty taste to it. The barista was very kind explaining to me each drink I had questions about. I added 50% vanilla syrup because he said most customers do it and I think it added a nice sweet flavor to it! Three Fields is the newest coffee shop in Alhambra and is currently in their soft opening phase! The vibe inside is very aesthetic and minimalistic, which I really liked, open layout with tons of seating options, including a big communal table with outlets underneath. The staff was really friendly and open to feedback, which is great to see. Coffee quality is solid, especially the Nicaragua pour-over, which has these fruity notes of lime, dried mango, and pineapple. They also have a strawberry tonic, which is probably their most unique drink so far. It has a hint of strawberry mixed with espresso that's refreshing and different, and not too overpowering. They're still working on their matcha tonic which I liked with a bit of yuzu but seems it'll be good once they finalize it. They also have pastries from Baked Bar LA, which add a nice touch to the coffee shop. It did get pretty packed on Saturday, but definitely a great spot to hang out or study since there is free wifi and outlets by the tables. Cute and modern coffee shop in SGV. Located where Magik Milk used to be is this new gem in Alhambra. The interior is bright and clean with plenty of seating. However, they did not have it available that day. I asked the staff for a recommendation on something with a flavor that's closest to matcha latte. He recommended the iced hojicha latte with a syrup on it. I went ahead and got that with vanilla syrup and also an iced vanilla latte with vanilla syrup. I personally drank the iced vanilla latte, which I really liked. And my friend liked the hojicha latte. I'd definitely come back to try some of the other drinks. The interior has some limited seats. Decided to try this place again once because they open early. Upon walking in we were not greeted and just went straight to the limited menu. I ordered a macadamia nut milk vanilla latte. My sister ordered a sea-salt cream latte. There was a long wait for the drinks but no line so they're pretty slow and could use more staff. Once the drinks were out and we tasted them, we just simply don't like this place. The coffee is weak and barely there, and overall just not a good yummy crafted coffee drink. Everything is watery and muted and just tastes like you're drinking watery milk. My sister's sea salt cream was pure salt cream and we were not fans. It tasted like they made the cream wrong or it was expired. Our experience here every time is just below average from service to products etc and I do not think we would be back. read more

Thanks to Thanksgiving day that made LA traffic waaaaay better and finally I made it to the east and visited some of the cafes I'd been wanting to. I loved how the spot was so aesthetic and cozy for spending hours while enjoying my perfect pair coffee and pastry. The service was also top notch as I could clearly tell the baristas tried their best delivering everything as swift as they could despite the line consistently stayed pretty long. Great impression left for soft-opening period! Besides, they offered $5 off for your next visit if you signed up to the mailing list. Not having that much nibbles options left, I managed to get their canele as my 'introductory bite'. Wouldn't say it's my favorite of a kind (I did have quite high benchmark for canele as it's one of my top-list!), but decent enough. As for the drink, I opted for their vanilla latte with almond milk as my first drink, and great news that their milk substitute was free of charge (yep, a win as it's kinda rare in LA). So there was no place for me to enjoy my drink. They have a clean and easily accessible bathroom. The vibe in there is nice from what I saw, but it was so quiet because pretty much everyone was working on laptops. So I wouldn't recommend coming here to catch up with a friend. Weirdly, the lid to the cup had a very odd smell. Everytime I lifted the cup to my mouth to drink, it smelled like farts! It seriously put me off of the drink and lessen my appetite, I had to take the lid off the drink the matcha, which risked spillage. As for my actual drink, I got the double matcha ($8.00), and it was good, But not anything special. Strong matcha flavor and sweet, but not too sweet. The staff was kind, and the drink came out quick. I would recommend coming here to try, but I don't think it would be my go-to place. Overall, I recommend this place if you want a tasty matcha to-go.
