I read this reviews after i ordered the foods. I wish i read it before i ordered. The chicken thai dish tasted horrible. the chicken is like a baby food. the sauce for some reason tastes like a tomato sauce. i am not impressed with their foods. The service is fast, tho. i noticed no one is sitting to eat at the restaurant during lunch hour. i regretted that i spent 20 bucks on them. i should listened to my guts to go to Indian restaurant next door. ugh. read more

I don't know what's with all these reviews, but my family has always gone here from the start (and we know our Chinese food!). It's good, reliable food that's inexpensive and fast! Growing up in Westborough, we've ordered from here for the past 7 years lol since they were first located in the rotary. 4/5 Taste: Good food for Chinese Takeout, don't expect upscale Chinese food here. Food ordered crab rangoon (I LOVE THESE YOU CANT GO WRONG), Singapore noodles, Happy Family, and Eggplant Chicken. 5/5 Efficiency: Ordered takeout because my family was all tired from cooking everyday bc of covid-19. I've only been here twice and both times was just grabbing take out. The place looks pretty decent and clean. The food was quick and only waited 15 mins. The orange flavored tangy beef was ok. It was a too tangy for my tastes and I wish the pieces were smaller and more manageable. They were too large so it was hard to chew and made it seem like there's not that much in the container. The twice cooked pork was pretty good actually so I was glad I got it. There was a good portion and the sauce tasted good. read more

I ended up here unexpectedly and was a bit leery when we all walked in. It is a small place and it was empty but after finding the other Thai place was closed and my tummy grumbling we sat and hoped for the best. Spring rolls were good and not greasy with a nice crunch Tom Yum soup with shrimp had a good broth and big fresh mushrooms I got a lunch special and asked for a Shrimp with lobster sauce, Crab Rangoons, Fried Rice. They usually make a white sauce but when I asked about the brown sauce he was willing to make it...yeah!!! My meal came out in long side by side plastic dish. I stopped for quick take out appetizers to eat on the run. I ordered the dainty little spring rolls and the thai shrimp rolls. The place is small and clean, and the service was very friendly. I would have to revisit them for an actual meal to make sure that I do them justice. I wish there were .5 stars... because this would be a 2.5 for food and 3 for cleanliness and service. But on the basis of what I ordered - the little rolls were crunchy and dainty, cute actually. Super salty :-(. The Thai rolls were stuffed packed but they definitely need the sauce to give them flavor. They fell apart when I tried to eat them, some of the rice noodle was very mushy. 2.5 Stars Three Gorges III (3G3) is part of a mini chain. Haven't been to the others. The quality is just ok, I stick to the lo mien/chow fun and Cantonese Soups (see the photo I posted). That's the secret here, the noodles and the soup. If you like the standard American Chinese fare they are in the middle ground there, slightly greasy but not overly so. I've always considered the food here to be OK, nothing special but convenient to my home. The last time I went there, though, it was like someone had taken a shrink ray to the takeout items. Portion sizes had been reduced easily by 1/3. Given that this place is no less expensive than other Chinese restaurants in the area, that change qualified it as a bad deal. I won't be going back. I'm live-blogging my delivery experience here. It's Monday, 7pm. I'm in a hotel room that looks just like countless other hotel rooms I've been in, only this one is far from (not walk-able) distance from anywhere. Bring it to me. The one Indian place that reports delivery really means they cater, so I'm already a bit disappointed, but I've called in my order to Three Gorges 3. It took three tries, but the call went through. I placed my order successfully (I think): Two eggrolls, small wonton soup, orange chicken. I have to ask for a total? $19.55 fine. "bye bye" I hang up realizing I did not get a delivery time estimate. And I ordered at peak time. It is 7:05 pm, I'd prefer to eat now, but I can hold out and get some work done. Begin waiting. 8:01 knock on my hotel room door. A heavy brown bag of something is delivered by a polite, ashtray-smelling man. The receipt on top indicates the order was correctly received; a good sign. 8:05 The food inside is correct and warm. The wonton soup doesn't come with crispy wontons, but the wontons in the soup are big and meaty. The eggrolls aren't very flavorful but I'm so hungry I am stuffing them into my face like a fat kid eating cake. 8:15 I've slowed down for a moment of rest before destroying a heap of sticky orange fried chicken chunks and white rice. House of Cards plays on my laptop screen. I pause and then inhale. Chicken, rice, sauce, I stop for a moment to savor, to search with my tongue. Nothing. They are all the same. No, they have distinct textures, but from whence? Who cares? It is all protein and carbs and fat and sugar and I have no patience for any of this. I gobble it all up. 9:01 Frank Underwood has just done something unimaginable on the screen. My belly protrudes into the hotel room. At least I'm not hungry any more, and I will sleep soundly. We ate here early on a Saturday night. Service was very good and the staff was friendly. My kids each had wonton soup and enjoyed it and my wife said the hot and sour soup was excellent. My son ordered pot stickers as his meal and ate them with no complaints. My daughter had the chicken and broccoli, ate some of the chicken and wasn't raving about it. My wife ordered the lo mein and it was not good at all (I tried it and concur), so she ended up eating the broccoli that my daughter did not care for. I ordered the General Gau's, which had limited sauce and no kick, and I didn't really care for the cuts of chicken, either. I ordered the Broccoli with Garlic Sauce off the Authentic Chinese Lunch Menu which I thought was a good move since the regular menu at most Chinese Takeouts is gloopy Americanized MSG sugar nonsense. The broccoli was advertised as a spicy dish, but what I ended up with was some undercooked broccoli in a gloopy, sweet, and not very spicy sauce on top of some white rice. We went to this place for the first time and was thinking hard why there wasn't a single person eating in the restaurant. We ordered Thai food since we always like spicy food. Food tasted weird from the first bite. Food wasnt spicy enough and had a weird taste. Chicken was not cooked right. Service is horrible. We saw only one person serving the customers and he was very busy looking at his phone all the time. Had to keep calling him for each and every thing. He even forgot to take the drinks order when we came in. There were few take out orders while we were having food. Maybe thats their speciality. But I would never go to this place again. Good Home Cooked Chinese/Thai Food. I came here today originally for the Indian Store nearby, since that was closed we decided to give this a try. It seems to me that the place is under new management or something. We were met with a male waiter, pretty polite and helpful. Btw the place has been cleaned, because there wasn't any dirt or any smell. When the food came it was hearty, and most important tasted delicious. One of my biggest complaints in most Chinese Restaurants is that they have a thick and heavy sauces, this wasn't issue with their food. The weirdest thing, reading from all reviews, I imagined this is a Chinese food only. Turns out it was Thai and Chinese. Granted I ordered on one of the busiest nights of the year I'm sure ( New Years Eve) but I called early and the girl said the delivery would take 20 minutes, great! After an hour and a half, I gave them a buzz and they then stated that it would be another two hours until my food would be delivered. I asked to speak to a supervisor in order to get my money refunded ( I paid by CC via phone) and he refused. He then told me that he was unable to make anymore deliveries and I would need to come for pick up needless to say I went and got the food because I had already paid for it and was being refused a refund. First, I need to make a few statements that will put everything else that I write into context. I love Pad Thai. I adore it- you can call it Americanized, bastardized, non-authentic. I don't care. I've had really good Pad Thai and so-so Pad Thai. But I like the dish so much that I always find something about it to savor and I always finish. I had take-out Pad Thai from Chef Sun the other night and it was the first time I didn't enjoy anything. Sauce on the side, noodles overcooked and apparently, someone decided dumping a cup or two of sugar into it was a good idea. Neither my friend or I could finish it. I have never been so shocked with what I got in service and food, the food was delicious and the service was great. The food came quick and we were served with in 5 minutes. I have eaten here a handful of times- food is mediocre, returned because of convenience. I tried their delivery for the first and last time tonight- delivery was said to be about a half hour, and I also requested updates via text (an option they offer). 65 minutes later no food, no update. I called the restaurant to check the status they said "it's on it's way". Ten minutes later the food shows up- room temp. If I wasn't starving I would have sent it back. Between the $15 minimum order, delivery fee and tip, the room temp meal cost me $25. Not returning. read more

From 8/21/11: Went about a month ago. Looks like they've changed owners as lunch specials prices were up, food quantity and quality were down. Used to be a safe bet but I won't be back. Decided to give it another try last week and get a lunch special- wings, crab rangoon, veg roll and boneless ribs w/fried rice. Wings were greasy and had some kind of breading stuck to parts of them, crab rangoon was OK but they really skimp on the filling, veg roll was flavorless, and ribs were tough and not charred at all. The fried rice was meh- The woman running the place was watching something on her laptop while making crab rangoon at one of the booths. That was in between taking orders and answering the phone. I noticed that she didn't wash her hands (wiped her fingertips on a wet towel on the table) before going back to her food prep until a guy (owner?) walked in and saw this, said something to her in Chinese, and looked over at me. From then on, each time she went to go back to food prep, she wiped her fingertips then looked to see if I was looking and went and washed her hands. After my food was delivered no one checked back with me until it was clear that I was done. When I got the bill, it was a little more than I expected (special was $6.65 and the bill was $8. thirty something. Either they need to update the menu prices or she charged me for tea. I don't think I've ever been charged for tea at a chinese place before. read more

Friendly people who own/work here. The service can get slow when the phone orders come pouring in. It would be nice if she took a break from phone answering to give us our check. The food is sometimes VERY good. I recommend the scallion pancake.
