I tried ordering onion rings and was told I couldn't order any more food, while the people next to us were literally still ordering food. Then I was told I could order them for takeout, so I sat back down, and suddenly I was told takeout wasn't allowed either. I ended up waiting around 40 minutes just to order. The crazy part is some of the food was actually really good. The mac and cheese balls were really good and so were the fries. The elk burger was easily the worst thing we ordered and basically just tasted like a regular burger. What really made this place stand out, though, was the outstanding customer service. The woman preparing our food took the time to chat with us, answer our questions, and even shared some excellent local tips--including a better route to see the famous Tree of Life. Those kinds of personal recommendations make traveling so much more enjoyable and are something you simply can't get from a navigation app. If you're heading to or from the Hoh Rain Forest, do yourself a favor and stop here. The burger was a standard burger. The chicken fingers had a different breading on them that I didn't really care for. If you need something quick to keep you going, it works. A little pricey for what it is and what you get. Next time, I will probably just make sure I eat well ahead of time or pack a lunch.
