We were excited to come here while visiting Forks and staying near La Push. On our second night we walked in at 6:30 to find a closed sign. They close at 7 which already seemed early considering there aren't many options for dinner nearby. The staff said they closed early since they hadn't had recent orders. Why the wait for fried seafood is over an hour is beyond me. To their credit, the lady at the counter did warn me the wait would be 30 minutes, but it was actually double that. They must have a very small fryer that can only fry one order at a time. They were all out of halibut. The fish basket (basically cod fish and chips) was decent. The seafood basket was absolutely horrendous. There were three shrimp, some clam strips, and just a bunch of batter nibs. No scallops or oysters as advertised. If they're out, should've told me when I ordered. Also, they are OBSESSED with twilight here. A whole alcove of seating with movie posters and cardboard cutouts of the actors. Signs about vampire treaties, etc. it's sorta sad that that's all this town has going for it. Make sure to get here early. They stopped taking orders at 6:30pm even though they're open til 7. I stopped in here because I was dumb enough to eat extra-spicy Thai food the night before (on a road trip no less) and was suffering the consequences and in dire need of a crapper. You'd think I would have known better. I lucked out because I was driving around in agony in the Olympic National Park looking for a toilet and having no luck, resigned myself to just dying on Hwy 20 when I spied Three Rivers after much consternation and white-knuckling the steering wheel in a death grip. I was never this excited since I was six years old on a Christmas day!! I walked into the store and purchased a few things and casually asked the girl where the toilets were and she told me. I was so happy I almost cried tears of joy but managed to keep my poker face. It was weird only asking for a toilet so I again casually remarked that I was trying to find Rialto Beach and I was lost (a total lie). She told me it was right down the road, just make a right. My heart leapt for joy because I was actually going to bypass Rialto Beach thinking my crazed, crammed packed itinerary was too much for one day...besides, I had no clue where Rialto Beach was. Score x 2! Three Rivers has a nice convenience store, gas, a restaurant, cabins and tour offerings but I've only patronized their convenience store (and crapper which was in a cute little stand-alone cabin); they've also managed to keep the Twilight saga going with witty and funny signs and memorabilia when most of the Twilight stuff has crumbled into dust in the main sleepy town of Forks. 3-Rivers gets my five rating for helping me prevent a blow out and helping me get to one of my "to do" list attractions ;-) read more

Life hack: Restaurants with a view tend to be expensive with mediocre food. So, bring your favorite food to the view! Let me begin by saying that this may not be entirely accurate review. After hiking 20 miles and eating nothing but granola bars and almonds for about 24 hours, I would have eaten almost anything except more granola bars. I was on my way to watch the sunset at Rialto beach. And on the way, I found a burger place that seemed decent. Turns out that twilight series was set in this area, and the towns advertise it to attract tourists. I chose the werewolf burger, which had double the meat and bacon, ham, veggies, and Swiss and American cheese w 1000 island/mayo. I went light on the sauces so it doesn't overpower the individual components. I also got cheesy fries, which I didn't take picture of because I demolished it on the way to the beach. The cheese to use for fries isn't a slice of American cheese like most other places too. I believe they use mozzarella and cotija cheese. The fries were freshly fried, so it was actually quite good and well seasoned. So I finally got to the beach, and after taking some Sunset photographs of the beach And small islands, I devoured that burger. The burger was actually pretty damn good. The buns were not soggy, the patties were a little dry, but well seasoned, the proportions of toppings were good, and the bacon was able to come out without overpowering the other ingredients but instead complementing them. And the light sauce allowed the components of the burgers to come out without being overpowered by the strong flavor of thousand Island. Of course the fact that I could feel the back of my stomach and the fact that I'm eating the burger with an amazing view of the sunset over the ocean may have influenced my palate. But, it was pretty damn good burger. read more

Ate here about a week ago. It is equivalent to a concession stand, in terms of the food. In other words, basically fried food (onion rings, fries, tater tots, chicken strips) or items from the short order grill like burgers. Not that you should expect more - you are in a very remote area! I had the halibut burger, which was a piece of frozen, breaded fish fried. It was good for what it was. My wife had the Quil burger without cheese and said it was a good burger. Onion rings were not good - avoid. Tater tots were. Root bear float was soft serve ice cream. In terms of covid-19, they did have glass up at the counter and markings on the floor showing six foot social distancing. There are some tables outside which is where we ate, but they also still have a few tables inside. Didn't notice until after I paid - they charge a ~4% credit card convenience fee. So bring cash. They have a single person bathroom in the restaurant and the resort has men's/women's bathrooms outside of the parking lot. read more

Came with a group of 8 after a backpacking trip on the coast. We were one big stinky group and they got our orders quickly and efficiently. We didn't wait too long for our food even though we probably overwhelmed them with the increased # of orders all at once. Their milkshakes were delicious and the burgers were good (but, I was ravenous from backpacking, may not be too accurate). We did have to pay extra for fry sauce and they told my husband they couldn't make an Americano because they'd have to "turn the machine on". This was at noon. And then they called out two finished orders of americanos after my husband ordered... We giggled at the twilight signs and appreciated the first real bathroom after 3 days in the wilderness. Don't bring any trash in, they don't have a trash can for backpackers, which must be a common issue because they have a specific sign about this on their front entrance. Wish I could give this place a NEGETIVE five star. We ordered the werewolf burger, bogie burger and the oyster basket. For some reason I didn't get a real beef patty for the bogie burger, instead it tasted like an old hashbrown. The fried oysters were the fishiest oyster I have ever eaten and I had a stomachache afterwards which was expected. The fries tasted like they were bought straight out of a dollar store, and the coleslaw, the worst part of the whole meal, was basically chopped cabbage with mayo, no salt, no seasoning, I had one tiny bite and it went straight to the trash. No service at all, they didn't even offer water. The floor was nasty, crumbs and half eaten tomato slices were hidden underneath the tables and nobody seemed to give a damn about it. I made sure I tipped well so they don't spit in my food. Spent $37 for the worst food I've ever had, and not to mention, you might need to expect some crackheads hanging out at the restaurant. This review is only for the restaurant, not the rest of the property. If you're dining here it is most likely that this is your only choice. Such is the reason why we ate here. We originally had planned on eating at River's Edge, but there was a kitchen fire the night before so they were closed. Here we are at 10 A.M. on a Sunday staring at the menu. Basically you have your options of burgers, hot dogs, and fried things. LOTS of fried things. This is not the place to go if you're thinking you can get some locally sourced food. I'm almost sure that all the food is just purchased and not prepped here. The deep fryer is directly behind the cash counter. Would I come here again? Probably. But that mostly comes from the fact that I don't have any other choice. At least they have wifi. The reviews seem really high here. I suspect it is largely due to the fact that this is the first restaurant out of Rialto. read more

The food was ok at best, typical fried food. I had the werewolf burger with double everything. It was priced at $7.99 worth maybe $5.00. It wasn't bed but dry and a bit boring. Coming from an area with 5 Guys an 8 dollar burger needs to be a lot better. I also had some onion rings. They were ok, cornbread coating. Service was a bit slow. They were very busy so perhaps I picked a bad time. Seating was messed up too. The chairs and placement of the tables was a bit chaotic. Here's some of what brings the rating down so low. I'll include a picture of the water they have. You get your own from a metal can with a lid and spigot. There are specks of dirt in the bottom of the cup. Personally I prefer my water clean. The biggest thing that rubbed me the wrong way was getting charged for using my credit card without telling me, for the most part. There is a small sticker that was pointed out after I went up to talk about some charges on my receipt. This was after we had all eaten. If you're going to charge me for using my card, warn me before. I would have just paid cash. read more

Three Rivers Restaurant was a nice place the dine after a day at La Push. It's right at the famous treaty line between Vampires and Werewolves. It was a very nice and clean place. The room was cozy with a lot of funny fishing joke posters. We arrived an hour before closing and had the place to ourselves. You basically order at the bar, get ringed up (they accept credit cards) and take a seat. Our server was attentive and I believe he was the cook too (didn't look older than 19!) This is a burger joint, next to/inside of a tiny house resort and that should tell you all you need to know. The staff is beyond friendly! The food is just okay, but if you want a hot meal on the beach or a really good milkshake it's the spot. Some interesting twilight stuff like the "treaty line" sign. We came here because the yelp reviews of the Forks restaurants were not the best and it was recommended by the our hotel manager. I had the quil burger. It was very good and fairly priced. I also sampled the curly fries and they were also very good. My dining companions tell me that the fish sandwich is ok and the hot dog isn't. The werewolf burger is reported to be good as well. Chicken strips, nuggets, and sandwich are also good. So, our group thinks this is a good option if you are out this way. Reasonable price and good value. read more

Great spot for us to stop when needing items while at manitou for a week - stopped one night to check out the burgers and were super happy - we got a crispy chicken sandwich, big foot burger, side of fried mushrooms and crispitos (did a 13 mile hike and were ready to grub!) not gourmet but piled high with veggies and toppings, really yummy and hit the spot - places like this beat out stopping at a McDonald's or something because the food is cost effective, more variety, fast and indulgent. Greasy? A little but that's what makes this place great, the menu is grilled and fried items and fits the "greasy spoon" diner food some people are craving after hiking, fishing or whatever. The owner is sweet and the young person cooking and taking orders was awesome. Took one star off because did not want to mislead people who think they're getting the best of the best if they're used to being in a larger city where a burger is $16+ and comes with truffle fries and white linen napkins. I was surprised at the extensive menu. The restaurant looks very unassuming from the outside, but they got a lot going on in the kitchen. The milkshake is just WOW.. oreo bits galore, super creamy and delish, but not overly sweet or heavy. great milk shake ingredients like shrimp and scallops are really fresh! When you first go in, it's like a 7 eleven, so you're thinking oh man.. but when u get to the food, it's truly a shocking surprise.
