I stumbled upon Diana's on my online escapade to find the viral raspberry danish latte. The recipe…read morewas dropped by Little Joy coffee shop based in Minnesota. This is one of the few places offering it within the DFW area, and I would say they succeeded in bringing these flavors to us. The shop is located in the back of Cedar Market Ranch which offers various low-cost produce to the community. I placed my order online, about 8-10 minutes prior to arrival and when I went to pick up, it was refrigerated and ready to go once I greeted them and showed them my phone. In terms of flavor, I suppose it just might not have been for me, the raspberry was strong and sweet, which was delicious. However, once you mixed it into the latte, the flavor was really muted and I no longer got the taste, and I could barely tell that the cream cheese cold foam was there. However, separately, the components were very good and I knew what they were. I think that the levels between them just might need played with a bit, and I would opt for extra sweet next time. Besides that, the space is lovely. There's some nice picnic style tables to sit at, it's indoor so you don't have to worry about the Texas heat. I would like to go back and try one of their signature lattes.

I explained I didn't like matcha as it tastes like grass to me and he said he understood and then he talked me into the caramelized banana latte, and I'm not mad at all. I explained to him that I didn't want it too sweet and what I got was a cup of deliciousness. I'll definitely come back and try something else next time but this was a nice way to start!

Dallas is finally getting some up-and-coming Filipino food from first-generation Filipino-Americans…read morewith a love for their cultural food. Not Your Lola's is one of these very pop-ups that you can catch around town introducing most people to their very first bites of Filipino cuisine. But these dishes aren't the exact translations of their parent's traditional recipes but rather their updated, inspired takes on signature flavors and dishes. Take for instance the arroz caldo, their answer to China's congee, but they ramp up this comforting rice and chicken porridge with a myriad of toppings bursting with flavor and texture. The ginger chicken base is studded with chicken and topped with spicy chili oil, funky kimchi, crunchy picked veggies, runny eggs, sweet pork floss and crispy chicken skin. This turns every bite into a different experience on your journey to the bottom of the bowl. This comes with combinations of hot, cold, spicy, sweet, salty, savory, creamy, crunchy, but all delicious. Take their version of champorado, a very chocolatey rice pudding frequently eaten for breakfast, but presented in dessert form, topped with bruleed baby bananas, toasted coconut and that signature drizzle of sweetened condensed milk. Sweet and moreish, this invites bite after bite until there is no more. They do more than rice, however. They've presented a beautifully braised coconut milk pork belly on a crispy sesame chip. It again balanced textures and taste sensations into one condensed, cohesive bite and appeared effortless. I am excited to see what they present next as they continue to innovate and serve food around town.

We started off with their swirl frozen drink (mix of frose and aperol spritz) then got the whipped ricotta with calabrian chili crisps. For $6, I thought the drink was solid despite that not being my normal go to drink. The whipped ricotta was amazing and the chili crisps added the perfect amount of spice. We then split the Hollywood pizza. The portions were enormous and we had leftovers for a while. The crust was excellent and all of the toppings felt fresh. There were many other pies on the menu that I hope to try in the future. I 100% plan to come back here in the near future.

I got two of of the "Rosemont" pizzas that are supposed to be their new haven style pizza but this wasn't new haven to me, a little too much flop and lacking char. However, the overall pizza was very good new york style pizza which is my second favorite behind new haven. Overall I would definitely recommend trying Cenzo's pizza if you prefer a quality new york style pizza like I do!
