Came in with a large group (about 10 people). Most of us got pizza. Took a long time to get served but somewhat understandable. The collective feedback was meh/average on the pizza. Mine was supposed to have garlic and lemon but didn't taste either. And the shrimp was dry / tough. Service was not friendly. Not hostile either, but like she couldn't be bothered. What a fall from grace. Many years ago, this was place was great. Now? Meh. Service was extremely slow, despite it not being particularly busy. Waitress immediately asked what we wanted for entrées (no introduction or anything, we had to ask if we could order drinks) and then we never really saw her again. My pasta dish was good, but had a sparce amount of toppings... was mostly sauce with a small handful of veggies. My dining partner's pasta was incredibly dry. I'm assuming it sat under the heat lamp for a considerable amount of time. The sauce had started to separate from the heat. Both of us having service industry experience we never send anything back unless it's egregious, but this was close. I've eaten pizza here a year or 2 ago and it was decent, but now I think Three Tomatoes has to really focus on the basics. Bummer considering 10+ years back it was a great restaurant. read more

We arrived a little after 4 to an empty inside restaurant with a few tables outside. Not busy at all. We ordered our drinks and then our food. From here it went downhill. Our Caesar arrived for us to split. It was "ok", certainly not award winning. As we sat and sat, and sat watching our server setting up some outside tables and eating something. The thought of "where is our food", we'd like to eat too. She finally picked up our food and brought it to our table, As she put both plates down we noticed the food was burnt, Ya know, BLACK CHARRED, crusted esaily seen to the eyes. What!?!? Did she just bring this to our table seeing it was burnt?? So we sent it back and eventually 2 more came out by our server and I had to pick out more black spots off my meal which was charred again and only warm. As we sat there eating our dinner I couldn't believe the cook would put that in the window to send out and the server would bring it out as if nothing was wrong. When our server, Julie, presented our check she inquired what was wrong. Really????? Maybe she should go back to Micky D's. Well, I am done for now, so Three Tomatoes, please don't respond, I don't want to hear it. Spend your money on a "Manager, server, cook wanted" position. Obviously, the staff needs changing. This is our third time here and I have to say we probably won't be back. We waited a good 15 or 20 minutes before we had anyone come to our table. We placed our order 20 minutes ago. My husband ordered an iced tea and has yet to get it. The place is not overly busy, so unsure why it took so long. The food was alright, but not worth the money. read more

Visited with my husband, son, and daughter-in-law. We had reservations and were quickly seated. They had both indoor and outdoor seating and opted for indoors because of the heat. We'd had cocktails and snacks before walking over so did not have more when we got there. The server brought bread with some olive oil and garlic but I did not have any. My husband had some and said it was "fine" and the interior of the bread was soft and it was easy to tear. I had the saltimbocca with gluten-free pasta. He says was a perfect texture and the chicken was tasty. It was more than I could finish. My daughter-in-law had a pasta with lobster that she really enjoyed. Husband and son had a special of cannelloni with meat sauce. It really looked fantastic, covered in gooey cheese. Neither one left a morsel! We were all too full for dessert but they had a dessert menu with many options, including several that were gluten free! I will definitely return! read more

I love enjoying pasta and craft cocktails at Three Tomatoes in Lebanon. This restaurant is a cornerstone in Leb. There are 5 places to dine: the main dining room is an open and festive family-style trattoria. The back dining room is more private although there are sidewalk and street-facing windows. The bar area allows for cozy seating and great conversations all around. The outdoor patio is awesome and opens up right into the town square. The final seating area is a large tent that overtakes the street in the summer with live music. It is an awesome scene and feels like a completely separate experience. The craft cocktails here are delicious and inventive, often with fruit and seltzers. You can order Peroni - an Italian beer - on draft. This is not easy to find! I love the pasta selections here. The pizza is a thin, brick-oven style. Go for the white pizza, it's delicious and light with a vegetable added. If you like thick, doughy, soft pizza, go for the pasta entrees. Also, you will not find a better dinner salad anywhere in Lebanon or West Lebanon. It's a gorgeous and delightful experience with shredded carrots, olives, etc. Garlic lovers will love the bread with a side dish of olive oil filled with an abundance of chopped garlic. We visited Three Tomoatoes while helping family members relocate to the area. It was pouring down rain the evening we came in, and the place was packed. The hostess made us feel welcome and found a table for us in the bar area. Our server, Linda, quickly arrived with waters and bread/oil. Her service was spot on throughout our meal. We ordered a roasted beet + local goat cheese salad and a margherita pizza. The salad was ample enough for the two of us to share, with arugula, lots of toasted slivered almonds, and a big hunk of goat cheese to be applied to each bite as we pleased. Very good! The pizza had mozzarella and pecorino atop tomato sauce, finished with freshly shredded mozzarella. It's not a St. Louis-style cracker crust, but we appreciated that it wasn't a thick and doughy crust either. The pièce de résistance was dessert. Spumoni covered in chocolate? Yes, please. The limoncello cake was one of the best we've had! Fresh, moist cake with a lovely layer of limoncello mascarpone and a shake of powdered sugar on top. Though it was super busy, we had no trouble talking in a normal tone at our table. The u-shaped bar had about 10 seats around it and a few hightop tables beyond that. The open pizza kitchen is next to the bar. The indoor dining room is across from these, and there is a large outdoor patio for nice days. Everything was so good. I got the fettuccine salmon limone and it was perfectly cooked. The flavors really complimented each other and I couldn't stop eating once I started. Our waitress was great although the hostess was a little rude at the beginning. I highly recommend the limoncello martini. It was absolutely delicious. From reading the reviews, I think this restaurant has varying ratings due to certain dishes. Here's the thing- if I could move past the beet salad and pasta bolognese with a glass of red and the bread and garlic dipping oil, I'd be able to comment on other things. It actually tore apart rather than cut easily, and with a steak knife no less. My dining partner said the same was true for the eggplant. If you love a good cannoli (you are a crazy person if you don't), be sure to order one before you close out your check. The shell is firm and crispy, and the filling is remarkably smooth and has a balanced sweetness. One end is dipped in chocolate chips, and, for a dash of virtue, the other end is dipped in really fresh pistachio chunks (versus the sad, soggy minced nuts some places try to pass off). I should also mention that the hours are great, and it's just a few buildings over from the Lebanon Opera House, so if you are going for a pre-show dinner, you might want to build in a little extra time because this is a popular combination. Received a recommendation to go here and it did not disappoint! They were able to seat my Group of 7 without a reservation which was amazing. The service was prompt and our server was very delightful and accommodating. We sat outside on the covered patio which was quite comfortable despite the heat outside. I had the seafood cioppino which was one of the specials, and I was particularly satisfied. Mussels are hit or miss for me but these were prepared very well, and surprisingly tender, as well as the shrimp and calamari. What a gem. We pulled in to the hotel and wanted to grab a bite to eat so this was a convenient spot to give a try. The restaurant is located across from a town center green and was brightly lit. We made reservations but didn't really need them, it was late. For our dinner we had the sweet tomato pie, the heart of Romaine salad and the tortellini. Everything was delicious. The pizza crust was crispy and the sauce and cheese was perfect. My salad was the perfect size, not overwhelming. It came with with maple smoked bacon, anchovies, almonds and a buttermilk vinaigrette. I also ordered some grilled chicken with it as well. The Romaine lettuce has a fresh crispness to it. My girlfriend enjoyed her tortellini, she said the sauce was delicious and trust me that is a compliment because she is picky. For dessert we had the Creme brûlée and a sphere like dessert which was vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, pistachio ice cream. Both desserts were absolutely delicious and a perfect way to end the meal. The service was really good. The waitress was attentive but not overbearing. She was quick to get our drinks and food. Great job! And the restaurant has several dining areas. They seemed to have a smaller bar type area with high tops and two larger dining area. I did not get to see the other seating area but the main dining room was Perry large and you did not feel like you were on top of any other families dining. This restaurant was a bit of a letdown. Very casual ambience. Service was very slow and nearly felt ignored. To basics. Dishes were ordered and both came out cold. They did not appear to be understaffed. However, we did not seem to be a priority. I'm not sure how they prepare their chicken but it's clearly done ahead of time. Absolutely no flavor and very dry with the Chicken Parmesan. I almost want to say it was par boiled before preparation. This was the same with the chicken, penne pasta. The general red sauce was decent. Probably would look for a different restaurant if I returned this area. I have no idea why it has such a 4+ rating. Their wood fired pizza is in-between thin and thicker crust. So perfect. They are generous on the toppings. I can't wait to go back and try more pizzas. Great selection. My best man contacted this restaurant to order the rest of my groomsman and I some dinner to take to our Air BnB in Vermont on the first night of my bachelor party. The centerpiece of the kitchen is a very large brick oven which should produce neopolitan style pizzas quickly, but 3 tomato's uses a thicker crust that I did not enjoy. We took my wife's parents, my daughter and her boyfriend out dinner. The quality of the food was not good. We had to send back the eggplant parm because it was tough and burnt. The quantity was also very small and the dish was mostly pasta. We also had to send back the chicken parm because it was rubbery and unchewable. In addition, the server spilled sauce from the chicken parm on my wife and seemed to try to pretend it didn't happen. We had a party of 6 so 20% gratuity was automatically included, however it was assessed before the 2 entrees were removed. So, we paid full gratuity for bad food and poor service. My wife and I stumbled into this unbelievable place when we stopped for lunch on our way from Portsmouth NH to Stowe Vermont. We could not have been happier. The restaurant has a great vibe both inside and out. They have pleaded if space and you can dine inside or out. Wonderful selection of food and drink. The service was also outstanding and friendly. We had a Mixed greens, gala apples, sliced almonds and creamy goat cheese in a vinaigrette which as a special and had to rank as one of the best salads we have had anywhere. For our main dish we split a Positsano Pizza with basil, garlic, shrimp and olive oil, which is far and away the best pizza we have ever had. It is so perfect in its ingredients and the dough and crust was perfect. They have a master pizza maker. If you are anywhere near this place do not miss it!! read more
