Excellent breakfast all around! Absolutely cute diner with great service. There are some traditional diner counter seats, booths, and some regular tables. There is also a men's and women's bathroom. We ordered a chicken finger breakfast biscuit sandwich with a side of gravy, a salmon and egg scramble with an everything bagel, and two buckwheat pancakes with maple syrup. Everything was good but the star of the show was the buckwheat pancake. I've never had a buckwheat pancake before but it was SOO GOOD. The pancakes were slightly nutty due to the buckwheat and they were soo moist and tender. Regular flour pancakes cannot compare to how moist and tender they were. Also, they were moist but not overly buttery or oily. I did not feel heavy after eating them. I do not know what sorcery they used to make them but I could have eaten 10 more pancakes. First time trying just happen to pass by in the area and was not disappointed! I had the Fried Chicken Biscuit with Sausage Gravy, Grits, and 2 eggs over easy. I'm not a fan of Sausage but the gravy was super good! And the prices were affordable and had a pretty extensive menu (scan to see online menu). It had a rustic homey feel. The interior was cute and the music was cute. Only thing was that this establishment is cash only. The fish and grits are my fave! I order my food for takeout quite a bit and I love how my fish is still crispy after my 15 min drive home. I usually order the French toast to go with my fish and grits. It's decent, but the tough edges of the bread aren't my fave. Last, I'm not a huge fan of their eggs b/c when I ask for cheese it seems as though they only sprinkle some of the top and don't melt it within the eggs. When I do dine in the servers are always kind, fast, and accommodating. Overall I love Thumbs Up and will always be customer. This was not our original planned spot for brunch but they had the least waiting time. We probably waited 25 minutes. I didn't realize this place was so small. I wish they offered mimosas. Although someone at my table did order the omelette and it looked really good. I ordered this tea and it was so good. I'm mad I can't find it in the stores. Came into Thumbs Up for our last meal in Atlanta before hitting the road. First thing I noticed was how nice everyone working there was. We were quickly seated and had water brought out quickly. I of course went for one of my favorite breakfast/brunch/dinner I guess to dishes, Shrimp and Grits. The shrimp were well cooked but the dish it's self was just a little plain/dry. This was the first Thumbs Up I went to over ten years ago. They are consistently excelled in the food and service. The wait can be long on the weekends but it's worth the wait for good breakfast food. Luckily they ha e several other locations in the Atlanta metropolitan area. Some.od our favorites are the chicken and waffles which they now have with either full wings or the tenders. Both are awesome and just a preference. I love the flavor of the smoked wings and the tenders batter is good as well so it depends on your taste. Today my son ordered the tenders with his waffles. I have a couple do go to regular items like the Yukon (the salmon is cooked to perfection, real creamy and tasty with the cream cheese and spinach), fish and grits, the skillet heap (spuds are so awesome here). Today I was simple and had a la carte of items. By the way, the biscuits are awesome here. They have their signature jam which is so good.
