Nice location but definitely under staffed. We had to wait a long time but the food was great. The pancake was a little crispy.. wasn't expecting that. Bathrooms were kinda gross. Service was friendly when we finally got some.

Quick breakfast after church. I wanted some fish so we went to Thumbs Up in Austell. It sits at the end of a plaza with lots of free parking. We had to wait for about 10 minutes for a table to be seated. It was packed and no seating in the small space. After we were seated, I ordered an Arnold Palmer, fried fish and grits with scrambled eggs with tomatoes. Cant really go wrong with a great breakfast. Just wish the service was a little better but short staff is the new normal. Thanks Thumbs Up. SYOY

I ordered DoorDash and the food was great!! They forgot my grits but that didn't even matter once I tasted the food! Looking forward to trying the grits next time! Definitely will be back to eat inside the restaurant.

First time visiting. Food is pretty good. It just took a while to come out. Forgot my order of grits but brought it out after a while. Will visit again cause the food is tasty.

This is a 5 out of 5 from the entire family. We've been here many times and will definitely be back. It's definitely a "local" place and the food is more "comfort" and not really frilly. It's a small place and is always busy. The servers are also very nice, friendly, and otherwise do a great job taking care of you. My favorite thing here - the multigrain biscuits. It's not your usual buttermilk biscuit, but oh-so-worth the carb splurge. Even better, it's served with real butter and fresh jam. YUMMM!

I really wish I could say I enjoyed this place or the food. To be honest this was my second time coming but my first time dining in. First time was a to go order that I placed in advance and still waited 15 mins after arriving for. I arrived after the breakfast rush the table were less than 1/2 full so I waited around until a waitress told me to sit anywhere. Then I waited around several minutes till I got a menu, then several more mins to be asked if I wanted a drink. 10 mins after arriving before I could ask for a cup of tea and water. The tea came 5 mins later the water after I was done eating. While they were nice the slowest service. 2 star service. The food it's chicken and waffles I didn't expect anything fancy but the waffle tasted like either the mix was sitting out and separated or it wasn't mixed enough 3 bites in I tasted mix yuck. 1 star waffle. The chicken was mid and the eggs which were scrambled tasted like egg beaters vs eggs. 1 star food. When I finally got my water after eating a square of waffle half a tender and 2 bites of egg I asked the very nice waitress for the check, cut my losses and went to dunkin for a coffee. I see soo many great reviews but I just received slow service and really bad food. 2 stars because they have a nice hot tea selection and the waitress while not very attentive were super friendly when they did come around.

    Southwestern Eggs

I checked this place out for the first time when my wife and I were coming back from an appointment in the morning. It was almost 11 am, but we still wanted breakfast and this place popped up on our Yelp search. I'm glad it did. It's your essential diner where we sat ourselves and were quickly greeted by a friendly server to get our drinks started and give us menus to review. I ended up getting the southwestern eggs, which was eggs, cheese, black beans wrapped in flour tortillas with pico and guacamole. It was good, and the perfect, filling, comfort breakfast I had wanted. The side of potatoes were seasoned well too! I'll definitely be back again.

The fried potatoes were quite yummy. They graciously added tomatoes to mine. Coffee was good too and our server was great.

I could honestly go just for those and be happy The food overall is always solid, portions are good, and the drinks are decent for a chill night. It's one of those places you can count on when you don't feel like doing too much but still want good food. The vibe is laid-back, service is usually quick, and it just always gets the job done. He got the Burger with fries and I got the chicken sandwich with fries. I also got the loaded baked potato soup as an appetizer and my son chose the side salad. I had no complaints with soup at all. It was really good. The appetizers came out pretty quickly. As for the sandwiches, we waited well over 30 minutes. Im not sure the order was even put in. People that came after us had gotten their food already. She finally came over and stated that the food should be coming out shortly. We literally only had sandwiches and fries. My son enjoyed his burger, but I didnt care for the chicken sandwich. It tasted weird and rubbery. I ended up not eating my food along with the fries. I told her my complaint and said I'll take the check. I could tell she really wanted me to speak to the manager, but I didnt. She came back saying that the manager had taken a discount off. When I looked at my check, it was only $2.20 taken off. I didn't want the meal compted, but they could have asked to replace the meal for something else since I didnt eat the food. The water and juice glasses were dirty. I had to ask for a to go cup, but she insisted she would bring me a better cleaned cup. I do want to add that our food came out with all the people who came in after us.
