    Greek Burger Cajun Fries
    Luca D.

Service and ambiance was successful. I got the Greek Burger (consisting of Greek dressing, banana peppers, black olives, lettuce and feta cheese) on a GF bun, alongside Cajun fries. The burger was well-cooked, the bun was toasted, and the flavors were able to remind me of Greek cuisine. The fries had a slight crisp and the Cajun seasoning was enjoyable. Overall, not half bad for being at a gas station.

Filling the fast-food niche created by Dairy Queen's departure, Thunder Burgerz offers good variety at a fair price. A plant-based patty can be ordered with any burger in their line-up; as a vegetarian, I love this. They even offer a spicy vegetarian bratwurst, which I'll be trying on my next visit, along with one of their great-sounding desserts. The interior is clean and uncluttered, and I liked the smooth R&B soundtrack. I gave an extra star for the super-friendly, super-helpful service I received.

I love this place! Everything I've tried here is so good. It seems to be family run and the people are so nice. Hot honey garlic is my favorite wing sauce here. You have to try this place! Very good! They have weekly specials and a drive through for easy pickup

lemon pepper chicken tenders and onion rings!

My wife and I stopped here on our way home from Bryson City. I didn't get a photo of my food because it was so good I ate it too fast. This is my wife's lemon pepper chicken tenders and onion rings, which I had a few bites of as well. Everything we had was AMAZING and was so fresh, I think it was made to order. Please go support this place, i'm writing this review after helene hit AVL pretty hard. Go support a small business. We will be back 10/10

I got the Down Home burger with mac and cheese on the side. My boyfriend got the slider sampler pulled pork, blackberry habanero chicken, and brisket. We got a side of curly fries to share. My boyfriend thought the blackberry habanero sauce was too spicy but the other two were good. The size of drinks here are gigantic! Love the coke.

On the plus side, the restaurant was incredibly easy to find and they actually have parking available, which is always a massive win when traveling. Once inside, we were seated at a high-top table, and our server was very pleasant throughout the meal. We started with the collard green and pimento cheese dip, which was supposed to come out hot in a skillet. Unfortunately, as I started dipping into the center, the middle of the dip was still cold. For mains, my husband ordered a chicken sandwich with a side of mac & cheese, and I went with the grilled cheese with candied bacon and tomato. Both of our sandwiches had the same issue: the tomato slices were cut incredibly thick--at least a half-inch. It made my husband's sandwich really hard to eat, to the point where he just took the tomato off and ate the chicken with a knife and fork. My grilled cheese was fine, but that massive tomato slice was just a bit much. As for the sides, my husband's mac & cheese was on the dry side. Mine wasn't dry, but it didn't really have a ton of flavor. I totally understand that the restaurant is trying to go for a fun, modern twist on southern classics, but for us, the execution fell a bit short. It was nice to try once while in town, but I'm not sure I'd visit again on a future trip to Asheville.

We went all out with appetizers and main courses, and everything was excellent. For starters, my husband ordered the buffalo chicken bites and I got the fried pickles. Both were perfectly prepared, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. The burgers were the absolute highlight. I ordered the "Bacon Crunch" style Juicy Lucy, which came stuffed with cheese and topped with bacon jam, pickles, crisp bacon slices, and potato chips for a perfect crunch. My husband went for the "Lucy Loco" burger, which came loaded with jalapeños. Both burgers had incredible flavor, were an ample size, and hit the spot perfectly. The sides were just as impressive. I had the sweet potato fries, and my husband ordered the fried green beans--which were uniquely delicious and really well done. To top it all off, our server, Carla, was very nice and incredibly attentive throughout our meal. Juicy Lucy's is a must-visit, and I will definitely be stopping by again on my next trip to Asheville!

We ordered an appetizer that came out the same time as our food. That was the second indication that this was not the best. Then I found a hair in the fried pickles I was eating. I just sat it down and started on my steak. I ordered a ribeye medium. The steak ended up being cooked in evenly. Half was well done and the other half was rare. The steak was a cheap cut and mostly fat and gristle. The fries were cold too. We were sat near a family with inattentive parents with three kids, making the entire experience just that little bit extra. The waitress stoped by once about two minutes after all the food and apps came out and then one last time to give the check. So if you enjoy poor hygiene, a slow paced staff, bad food, and atmosphere that will make your blood boil, then Juicy Lucy's may be the perfect spot for you. However, if you have any standards, I'd suggest going elsewhere. Sincerely, I hope your team improves but I will not return to find out. The only positive was the one beer I tried was decent.

It was a nice night and inside was considerably louder. Our server was kind and friendly and went out of her way to make our evening enjoyable. A creative and fun menu is here, we tried a variety of things the night of our visit. Sushi, burgers and a bar. We started with the Dumplings appetizer along with some garlic herb Edamame and it was very good, we asked for eight shrimp and they were glad to adjust for us. Crispy and a nice crunch. It was a nice beginning. The soybeans were fresh and hot with a nice flavor also a good start. Next some Toro and Hamachi Sashimi, both were fresh and flavorful. Along with a California roll, it was true to type, nicely rolled and good flavor. Next I had the Sweet Heart Roll, an impressive presentation and work of art. Simply delicious and so flavorful. This was an excelleny choice. Then the Madness Fries, a pile of seasoned fries with a mound of shredded carb on top. This is simply insane, it was such a delicious bowl and the combination of salty fries with sweet crab. A winner. My partner had the Vegan, a beyond burger patty on a Millet Chai bun the way she wanted it and said it was very good too. We tried several different items and each was very good to better. All in all an excellent meal 4.5 Stars rounded up for the creative menu, presentation and kind service 01172

If I was rating this place on the taste of the burgers alone, it would hands down be 5 stars. These are simply the best fast food burgers that you've NEVER HAD. In other words, fast food burgers reimagined with all the taste you crave, but without the crap ingredients and weird bloaty aftereffects. These are fast food burgers the way they should be. That said, the prices reflect that. The burgers are good sized with two patties, but they run $12 for a beef smash burger or $14 if you opt for the Impossible Burger (which you can get with regular "freedom cheese" and sauce or with vegan cheese and sauce). They offer a "combo" for $3 more, but it's a bag of chips and sour patch gummy candy for dessert. Based on that, my recommendation for now is to just go with the burger and enjoy it on its own. If the owners see this review, here's my suggestion: invest in a really good fryer and do the same thing you've done with fast food burgers, but for french fries, too. I'm sure frying units are a pain with the cooking oil, extreme heat and all, but it would be so great to have the FULL fast food experience reimagined. Service was friendly. Multiple indoor and outside seating options, and you can take the burgers over to any of the areas of DayTrip to enjoy your burger with a beer or cocktail. DayTrip's beer menu even includes a [canned] beer called Boy Howdy that DSSOLVR produces to go along with the Boy Howdy burgers. That's a better combo! This place is so much better than most burger places that even with the relatively pricey burgers, I'll go back. I'd go back more often if they served really great french fries along with the burgers!

I was never on the spam bandwagon, but this simple preparation was fantastic. The poke bowl was delicious. It was a little heavy on the mayo, but all the components were great. I loved the macaroni salad. It was the reason I wanted to come in and I was happy! I sampled some shrimp and chicken from my guy's dish and they were both great-well seasoned and well prepared. I wasn't a fan of the pork, it felt on the dry side. We also noticed that NC likes their sauces. I mean, I like sauces, but I never expect 4-6 options on the table. We tried a little of each and the curry based option and the mustard were my favorites! This is a great find. I didn't realize that small towns still close up shop early on Sundays.
