Make sure to make a reservation. Weekend reservations are impossible. On a weekday, we were able to book same day. Top notch service. Accepts credit card. Their menu changes. We showed up for a reservation but had to wait. The staff was nice and gave us a complimentary charcuterie board. Tavern board (charcuterie board) - was really good. Nice spread of salami and cheese. It's a nice precursor to the main meal Roasted oysters- tasted fresh. There's extra condiments on top, I thought was excessive Oyster pie- pretty interesting. Oyster was fresh, the crust of pie was good. I would skip next time Hog neck clams-really good. Tasted fresh. The real winner was the sauce. The complimentary bread was used to soak up the sauce. The sauce was so so good. I would get this again for the sauce. Fish and chips- cooked very well. Great presentation. Scallops - were exquisite and cooked perfectly. My friend who had this dish raved about how good it was.

We've been here for casual date nights, Valentine's dinner, and the last time we came was for our friends renewing their vows after 10 years of marriage. That alone says a lot about the kind of place it is. It fits both everyday moments and really meaningful ones. What stands out first is the atmosphere. There's a warmth to the space that makes it feel inviting right away. It has a rustic, polished look with a lot of character, but it never feels stiff or overly formal. It's the kind of place where you can tell thought was put into every detail, but it still feels comfortable enough to settle in and enjoy yourself. For me, the experience starts before the food even hits the table. The space has a calm, intentional energy to it. It's perfect for slowing things down and actually enjoying your time, especially with someone you care about. The food is where it really separates itself. Everything feels carefully prepared and well thought out. You can tell they care about ingredients, and that always comes through in the flavor. Nothing feels thrown together or generic. The menu itself gets you excited before you even order, and the food lives up to it. What I appreciate most is that it doesn't just feel like a place serving food, it feels like a place creating an experience. The dishes have personality. There's intention behind them. It's not about being flashy, it's about doing things right. The service adds to that as well. Every time we've gone, the staff has been friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without hovering. It makes the whole experience feel smooth and relaxed. Another thing I like is that it feels distinctly Baltimore without feeling ordinary. It has a real identity to it, and that makes it memorable. My wife and I keep coming back because it feels like time well spent. Good food, great atmosphere, and the kind of place that actually stays with you after you leave. Overall, this is easily one of the more memorable dining experiences in Baltimore. Definitely worth it if you're looking for something that feels meaningful, not just another night out.

I finally got a chance to check out this brewery and I am glad I did. Housed in the former St…read more Michael's Church, Ministry Brewing is really nice collective of beer, food and ambience. And I love that they give back to the community in areas such as education, community and philanthropy. Stopped in this past Saturday with a bunch of my gym friends. I love that their tap list offers a little bit of everything for everyone, from classic lagers and IPA to house ciders. I am a Pilsner girl, so their Pilsner was my fave. I love that they do weekly events such as Trivia and open mic nights to name a few as well as host a few several food trucks out back. Oh and this is the spot where they have that really nice flea market as well. You have to check their Instagram page to see which food trucks will be serving food. Saturday they had empanadas from Aru Aru, which were very yummy and made fresh to order. Best spot if you are a beer connoisseur, great place for happy hours and is accommodating for large parties. Plus you bring your own cards and board games to play as well. I will so definitely return.

The old church and architecture is so warm and inviting-- it was still decorated and lit for Christmas so it felt extra festive. It WAS weird to see the brew tanks at the front of the old church, where the altar would have been. But it also places the beer on the altar of our Friday night so I was OK with that. I had an American Pale Ale, the husband had a Kolsch. My beer was exceptional and delicious. My husband said the kolsch was OK. They also have a cute space with books and board games! As well as a cool merchandise wall with excellent cool t-shirts. I had to restrain myself. There is no kitchen or food served here. Order at the bar and sit where you want, there are plenty of tables and a lot of elbow space. The folks at the bar are Super Nice and you should tip them well. They told me there is usually a food truck that shows up at an undisclosed time in the evening. We did order some fantastic pretzels (w/ smoked gouda) and waited some more but ultimately had to go find a meal elsewhere. We will be back, perhaps in warmer weather to wait out the food truck and have more beer. Also, we were there for happy hour so our beers were $5! Thank you to all of the kind people at The Ministry of Brewing! We will be back.

This doesn't mean you have to work at the Legg Mason building; many people who work in the area will find that there access badges will also work at Legg Mason. Just ask your HR! I don't work in this building - but I do work nearby, so I'm lucky enough to get access to this cafeteria. You enter through the main entrance to Legg Mason, swipe your badge at the turnstiles and watch the little LCD display to tell you which elevator will be yours. Like something out of a Sci-Fi movie, you get in the elevator and its already pre-programmed to go to your floor (the 4th). If you don't have a badge that gets you in, you just need to find a friend that does, and they can sign in for you. On the fourth floor you'll go right and enter into the kitchen part of the cafe. Its time to choose between a salad bar in the center (you can find two soups there too), pay by weight entre item (it was jerk chicken, rice, yuka and papaya salad today), a deli counter for sandwiches, a grill with hamburgers, philly cheesesteak sandwiches and specialty items, or you can go over the entree section where they make specialty salads or rice dishes or wok dishes depending on the day. Once you've loaded up, gotten a drink - its time to check out. Remember, they only take credit cards! You'll find utensils and more napkins as well as mustard, mayo and ketchup after you go through the check out line. Now - and this is the best part - enter the dining room. You'll find large clean table with somewhat comfortable wooden chairs. The walls are decorated with the coordinates of notable places Captain James Cook explored. Now turn around from that wall and notice the floor to ceiling windows looking out over the harbor - its really incredible. On nice days, you can grab a table out on the porch for a better view. Once you're done enjoying the view and the food, turn around and you'll find the standard cafeteria style conveyor belt to take away your dishes. There are also a number of different recycling, trash and composting bins - so pay attention the signs. A few notes on the food. They actually have spicy food, some of it is tasty, and some of it comes out bland. You can generally get a good idea by the look of it, before you order, how it is going to be. Some lanes go really fast, sometimes the grill or entree line gets jammed up, so have a second option in mind when you come (check the online menu) if you have limited time. Prices vary wildly, so be sure to check before you order - I've gotten lunch for 7 bucks without trying, and accidentally spent closer to 15 when I thought I was being cautious. It is easy to get healthy food, easy to be fast and easy to get cheap food - but getting all three together can be a bit illusive. Lets be honest though, even if the food was mediocre (and most what I've had is pretty good), this place would be four stars just for those huge windows and beautiful view.
