Getting together with good friends and family was the occasion to come to Thyme Table; everyone had a great dining experience. They offer a decent array of libations and appetizers. The menu is not very large, but it offers a couple of options for vegetarians. Weordered the lobster tater tots, crunchy little morsels sprinkled with lobster chunks and parmesean cheese, a charcuterie platter filled with cheese, dried fruit and crackers and summer squash, thinly slices squash over a soft mild cheese. Prices range from $11-$19. As for our entres, two of us ordered the bbq short ribs with grits and brocolini, the 12oz grilled pork chop with roasted Brussel sprouts & mashed potatoes, and one ordered the grouper special, grilled grouper over mashed potatoes. ($26-$32) Each person thoroughly enjoyed the meal! The ribs were tender and tasty; the pork chops grilled to order. I loved the Brussel sprouts! -and the fish was tender and flaky. This one is a bummer. My husband and I had been working all day in the yard and we decided to treat ourselves to some carry out. We both just really wanted a good burger so we put in the order and came, when instructed, 45 min to an hour later to pick up. I was hungry, and really not picky at that point but what I cannot get over is 1) the completely RAW french fries in the box. They were completely white, super undercooked and were the most flaccid fries I have ever encountered. I had one in the car on the 5 minute ride home so I cant even blame the carry out box for steaming them. They were raw and went right in the trash when I got home. There was no saving them. 2) The TOTALLY underseasoned burgers we were served were the most bland tasting burgers we have ever had. I mean absolutely NO salt or pepper to be found. My husband shared some of his balsamic onions with me just to put some flavor on those things. Not sure how you foul up a "basic burger" (which is what it is called by the way), but shoot. This place has SERIOUS PROBLEMS (my go-to drink on the menu.... it's seriously delicious)!!!!! Eric is an amazing bartender and their menu has lots of unique options for whatever you're in the mood for. We came after dinner and had a "Serious Problems" and a Paloma, alongside a delicious cheese board. We have eater here three times and each time fantastic. Service is great. Staff first rate. Wine list and beer first rate. Mixed drinks are creative and use first rate ingredients. Located in the heart of beautiful Bay Village! This is a quaint spot serving amazing food!! My husband and I have eaten here a few times pre-covid and once post-covid and it's always amazing!! Service is great, drinks are great and atmosphere is wonderful. They have a lovely patio and indoor seating. Their selection of cheese for the cheese board was fabulous, tater tots with cheese sauce -(need I say more).The owners are locals to the village, so please support these small, local businesses, especially the good ones! I thought, "why not lead with dessert?!" I so yesterday we went to dinner at a restaurant I will not name for our 20th wedding anniversary and we have a subpar experience. So I won't post about it. Today, we spontaneously tried a 20th anniversary dinner 2.0 at @thymextable in Bay Village. After following them on Facebook for a while I knew I had to try them and we weren't let down. We split a really good burger which we added chipotle aïoli to and some fries. The burger felt fresh and right off the grill. we got their Gem wedge salad with Parmesan peppercorn dressing and we asked them to hold the pickled onions. My wife was pretty vocal about how good the dressing was. The stars of the evening were the two desserts. My wife got the butterscotch pudding cake with Mitchell's vanilla ice cream. It was also served with warm butter scotch sauce and a brûlée'd banana. I got the mini chocolate snack cakes and I asked them to substitute out the winter-spice creme anglaise and give me a scoop of the house made peanut butter ice cream. my chocolate cakes were filled with chocolate buttercream and they were chocolate glazed and garnished with raspberries and blueberries. Both desserts were fantastic and we would definitely recommend this restaurant based on the food quality and the great service. Great ambiance -- food is generally pretty good (though the basic fries and tots could use an upgrade or twist or additional seasoning of some sort). Love the fcs sandwich. Caesar salad is good but could use a little more dressing to help balance the thickness of the kale leaves -- appreciate the unique twist on a classic though by using kale. The prices are a little high - a fairly standard meal for a family of four (2 adults + 2 kids) with just one glass of wine for one of the adults and water for everyone else will run just north of $100 with tip. Three of the five appetizers are more than $10 each. Not outrageous but too pricey for anything more than the occasional dining experience. read more

We waited for a table for a while (we had a big group and it was a Saturday night) and the management took care of us the entire time! They sent out amazing appetizers for free and kept checking on us to make sure we were ok. It was totally worth the wait! Ordered take-out from this place tonight.... Everything was delicious! The drinks were great (Serious Problem, Friends With the Bartender, I Didn't Say Banana, and Orange You Glad?) and all well-labeled. We had the Lobster Tots, BBQ Short Ribs, and Shrimp and Lobster Crab Cakes which were all AMAZING! Great flavors, rich but not too much, and lovely presentation (even in take-out boxes). For dessert we had the Chocolate Hazelnut Torte and Orange Blossom Panna Cotta, which were also delicious. We are local "foodies" who have frequented Thyme to Table in the past and fully support local chef's and restaurants vs chains. The good -- the service despite covid shortages was excellent even on a very busy Friday evening. All the wait staff were friendly and accommodating. The bar service is the best in the west suburbs. The not-so-good - The food has taken a deep dive in our opinion. For the appetizer, even a simple 3-cheese board had issues. They served a crumbled blue cheese in tiny pieces that you can't even spread on crackers. The Brie was thin and weak and not a triple or even a double variety For entrees, The Striped Bass dish was way overcooked and was served hot like it was under a heat lamp. The polenta side dish was at least a day old and served luke warm at best. No excuses here. My wife has the chicken sandwich which was 70% French fries like from a frozen bag. the sandwich itself was average at best. For a local chef-run, farm to table restaurant this was a major disappointment. Maybe because it so popular the attention to detail had dropped but we certainly won't be back (for food anyway) until they overhaul their kitchen and preparation processes. I was in town for the weekend with my husband and found this gem when searching for a restaurant with a patio. Everything about it was outstanding. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was trendy yet still quaint and inviting. The patio was lovely and the tables were nicely spaced so you didn't feel like you were eating with the people next to you. My husband and I both had the Bibb salad, which was crisp and light. We both really enjoyed it. He got the short ribs and I got the tuna as entrees and they were delicious. We finished every bite. We each got a dessert, not because we were remotely hungry, but because we could not resist the unique options. We were glad we did and forced down every bite. The service was great. The bar cocktails where good except for the Fresh , it had no taste at all. It was like drinking soda water. The crab cakes where the worse I've every been served. The menu specified shrimp and crab cakes but there was no shrimp and the crab cakes had no lump crab as well as being over fried. The restaurant acoustics where also terrible for the space probably since there was no carpeting. One thing we did love was the ceiling tiles, however. I have been to Thyme table 3 times and have had various experiences. Took my son for dinner for his birthday tonight. The service was great, he ordered the pork chop and loved it. I ordered the short ribs and was presented with a short rib sitting on polenta. The short rib was 96% fat which was very disappointing and not edible. I was disappointed as it was the most expensive item on the menu. The lobster tots were awesome but the serving size for an appetizer was enough for 6 people. read more

Amazing dining experience! Loved the decor and all the staff went above and beyond to provide excellent service. The drinks and food were incredible! My husband and I shared some apps - the lobster tots (huge chunks of lobster meat!!), the crispy rib appetizer (very tender with amazing sauce and kimchi slaw on top) and a cheese board which was great as well! Normally don't leave reviews, but noticed some bogus 1 star reviews so felt compelled to relay our experience. The place is lively and brings some energy to Bay. Upscale menus, with good food prepared to perfection. Drink menu is sophisticated, nice that you don't have to go downtown to get a well constructed cocktail. We have visited a few times now. We had the tuna and chicken breast on our most recent visit and were happy again. The place is popular Friday and Saturday nights, so plan accordingly. They have had a lot of attention from local Cleveland publications, so people are traveling to visit. Nice addition to Bay. Hope the community continued to support this local small business. Side note: if you haven't actually visited a restaurant or if you have personal issues that have nothing to do with the food, drinks, service, etc - don't leave 1 star reviews. Their cocktails are crafted, yes crafted; the take the time and put full effort in taste and expertise in every drink. My family and I just had the best meal at Thyme Table! We were greeted by such friendly faces when we entered and had amazing service. The food and cocktails were delicious. We ordered the Braised Short Ribs and the Barbecue Burger. I am very health conscious and never eat the bun on my burger but when the food was delivered and I saw how good it looked I had to eat it and I don't regret it at all! We had the handmade Super Snuka cocktail as well and it was delicious. I've been here on several occasions, and each time the staff, food and ambience was very good. It's a small place, but cozy, and in good weather they have great outdoor seating. I have wanted to try Thyme Table since I heard about them a month ago. Made it in time today for Happy Hour woo hoo! I tried the Manhattan cocktail and it was very well made. Strong but not overpowering. What I really came for was the lobster tater tots and they were amazing! They were everything I hoped they would be and I wished I would have gotten the larger plate for my meal. For my entree I tried the Sunny Side fried chicken sandwich which came on a biscuit. It wasn't anything to write home about. The biscuit was so small it wasn't worth putting on the sandwich and it was hard so I pushed it aside. The chicken coating tasted a bit burnt as well. It was OK but I don't think I would try it again. For dessert I had the Key Lime creme brulee, so good! Our server Candace was very attentive and friendly. We learned the restaurant has only been open for three months and I believe they are off to a great start. I will definitely will return soon! read more

This one is hard to write cause it's a family place and in our town. But the place has serious problems. I mean, SERIOUS!! We did the Yelp-Ahead seating and it didn't make the wait any better. We had a horrible time once before and had hoped things would be better, but they weren't. We got there and watched table after table just sit there. Almost all were there the entire time we were. Cause there were still 2 people in front of us till 9:00. Almost 1 3/4 hours after we did the Yelp-Ahead. When we did get a table, we had been here before with not the greatest results but we wanted to give it another go. So we ordered some drinks and the lobster tots. They weren't hot. Kind of lukewarm. The drinks, it's almost like the bartender is trying too hard. Trying to be different. And it's not working. The Cesar salad was just ok. The dressing was kind of bland. My wife ordered the supposedly famous black pasta. It came out undercooked, coldish and the presentation did not make it look appetizing. The burger I got was undercooked and cold. So was the side that came with it. I'm thinking the reason for this was they brought things out late. They weren't wildly busy by the time food came out but they seemed a bit confused. Like they were still working on things. But it's been many months after they've been open. You'd hope they've worked things out. But clearly not. I've got other stories about ordering carryout from here and other nights we've gone in. But between the stupidly long wait, bad service and bad food/drinks, I am not planning on going back. Note: we found out the original chef who made the original black pasta "famous", he isn't there any longer. So that probably explains why it wasn't good. Our experience at Thyme Table was phenomenal. We were lucky to get two seats and the bar and were happy we did once Eric (the bar manager) started chatting with us. The cocktail menu is great and super approachable, we tried four different cocktails between the two of us and liked them all. The food menu truly has something for everyone. The short rib melted in our mouths. They have the best cheese grits I've had outside of the south/ in Cleveland. I literally wish I could've taken the cheese grits home and eaten them on everything.
