I always look forward to spending the night at Tiburon whether it's for a out on the town or celebrating with friends. It's a great place to relax, enjoy your company, and be pampered with fabulous food. Tiburon has an unique way to make your senses awaken. The flavors come together regardless if you enjoy salmon, beef tenderlion, tuna, or elk. We celebrated a few of my friends birthdays, and they did a great job taking care of a table of 9. We were impressed with the service and the entrees. Every person at the table was entertained with the plates and the most talked about entree was the Elk. Personally, I love the way the tuna was prepared. It was tasty and not too salty. Every bite made me wanting another bite. Every dish is prepared with thought and attention to detail. I'm giving this 5 star mainly on the steak we ordered, although we did enjoy our entire experience very much! We were a little worried walking in as the outside is a little unwelcoming, but once you walk inside it's a great relaxed atmosphere. Our waiter was really cool and attentive, answered all of our questions and we didn't feel rushed or anything. We got a house salad that was great, I wouldn't say it was amazing, but it was definitely a great flavor and we both really liked it. We both ordered the Ribeye (we love that cut) and we were so satisfied! We have had a LOT of steak from alot of different restaurants, and this steak was simply amazing. The sauce was so good! It was perfectly tender and so flavorful. The mash potatoes and squash were also perfect with it. We will absolutely be back. read more

Amazing things can be done with a building that formally housed a fruit stand. The space is now a cozy, eclectic dining domain. Our experience was a business dinner for six. We opted for the private dining room, but the weather was nice enough where we could've enjoyed their patio dining if we wanted. It was a stunning evening in the people looked quite happy to be outdoors. They do things right at Tiburon. All of the entrées are served with a wonderful house salad - loved it! They also provide fresh bread and they cleansed my palate between courses with a homemade sorbet. All of these are nice touches, that make me feel good about about this restaurant. For my main course I had the New Zealand lamb tenderloin. This is a nicely seasoned pan seared tenderloin of lamb. It was accompanied by a delicious parmesan and parsley risotto shaped into a small round cake. I ordered my lamb rare and it was cooked to perfection. Excellent! The red wine was flowing and we elected to pass on dessert. Next time I'll save some room for a sweet treat. Why settle for an average meal in the South Valley when you can go to Tiburon in Sandy for fine dining. It's a "must try" if you have not had this dinner experience. Salute! read more

Amazing fine dining place. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside atmosphere and food are amazing. Their specialty is the elk steak and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. Great date night spot, but the first bite of Elk just might make you orgasm before the date is over. You've been warned. Be careful out there. read more

This place is so delicious. I am visiting from out of town and my brother has passed it many times but didn't ever come in. I was looking for farm to table places to eat and scored big time here. The lemonade is out of this world. It's perfectly blended and my brother and mom made fun of me about how perfect it was till I made them try it, then they agreed. Pretty fun place! They had a ton of people on the back patio with no fans or anything, so freaking hot. Steaks were absolutely SMOOTHERED with the gravy. So if you're into that then this is the place for you. So much sauce. Pretty good though! Sides were weird. read more

The ambiance and food at Tiburon is top notch. The elk entree was delicious, and the crab cakes were tasty. I loved the pineapple sorbet, it was one of the best I've ever had. The only gripes I had were the portion sizes and the salad. They should give more options for salads instead of just vinegarette dressing. The portion sizes were also very small, there was only 5 small pieces of elk and a small scoop of garlic mashed potatoes. For the price I was hoping for more sauce or mashed potatoes. I don't usually like American food and rarely give more than 4 stars. But this place provided a great dinning experience both in taste and service. Inside the dinning area, It was a bit dark; great for couples on a date. Outside dinning was a lil bit bugsome with minimal mounts of bugs thats inevitable. The salad was fresh and had a lil bit of everything. And the dressing was evenly spread. The main course I had was the elk steak. It tasted kinda like beef with a softer texture. The whole was tasty and I was truly impressed. Wish I had more room for dessert. Maybe next time! read more

It has been a rare and special occasion for me to go out for a dinner in as fine a restaurant as this. I will dream of Tiburon on nights to come. I started with the crab cakes and they were wonderful. Even the salad that came with them was amazing. Full of flavor, with white wine and herbs, I would order them again, everyday if I could! For the main course, I had the surf and turf. I feel bad for my sweet husband, who would've appreciated a taste of my lobster tail, but when I looked up, it was gone. I couldn't stop! He did get a few bites of my steak, though. It was one of the best I've ever had! The garlic parsley butter was a wonderful touch. I ended with the creme brulee, with Tahitian vanilla and a touch of honey whiskey. As the carmelized sugar shell broke through to the custard, my taste buds celebrated. Not one bite of this special dinner was wasted. Tiburon!! Can't wait to see you, again. read more

Just got home from a lovely evening celebrating the birthdays of friends. Our night couldn't have been much better. Our food was spectacular. This may sound crazy, but one of my favorite flavors of the night was the garnish served with the crab cakes. I loved my steak!!! It was cooked to perfection and so tender. My friend let me taste his elk. Much to my surprise, I liked it. And, the creme brûlée was a perfect ending. Yes, the food and setting were pretty spectacular, but what made this a total 5 review was the service. Taylor was spectacular. We went to celebrate a birthday last week, and somehow it was my first time here. To start off, the service was absolutely fantastic, and the steps they took for COVID made the experience very enjoyable overall. As for the food, the flavors were fantastic. We started with the scallops, and the sear and flavor was perfection. Next was the salad - I liked all the elements of the salad, but it was over dressed and every leaf was drenched in the dressing. Although tasty, they could hold back on the amount of dressing, or serve it on the side so customers could choose how much they use. I had the elk dish, and loved the peppercorn sauce, but wasn't in love with the cream sauce they used on the dish. i wasn't sure if it was a gravy to go with the meat, potatoes, mushrooms or vegetables. It didn't seem to fit, and the addition of it was not really necessary. The cook of the elk though was perfect - i feel like whenever I ask for medium rare, restaurants never actually meet that, and often overcook. Not here! It was a perfect cook, exactly what you would hope to expect of a medium rare steak. We ended our meal with the creme brûlée, which was tasty but they put a lot of fruit on top of the cooked sugar, which removed the iconic crunch one would look for when tapping the top with your spoon. I would suggest that the fruit is left off the top in the future so it doesn't make the sugar soggy! Overall, I can see why there is hype about this place and that it has been open for so long. But I do see room for improvement. read more

I visited Tiburon for a work event. The service was spectacular, which is something to say for my large group. Drinks were refilled regularly and wine recommendations didn't disappoint. Most of us ordered the elk, mine was perfect and delicious. We had a selection of appetizers that were all fresh and satisfying. I'd consider stopping by again when visiting Salt Lake! I appreciate the small, mom-and-pop vibe and the craft that went into our meals. read more

This has to be one of my favorite restaurants in the Salt Lake City area. Those who are bummed this place is a bit out of the city need to rethink everything. I have been twice now and will definitely be back. First: the atmosphere. It's pretty nice- 4/5. Nothing too fancy, but simple and elegant. Cute lil outdoor seating available in pleasant weather. As for the service, 5/5. Exactly what I would expect from a higher quality place. Very friendly staff. The food: 6/5. I tried the lamb and the elk and enjoyed both meals thoroughly. They start you off with tasty bread, then you get a salad, then a little sorbet to cleanse the palette. Then the main dish. It's a whole experience! Also enjoyed the apps I've tried. Pork belly is yum yum. It is a bit pricey, expect to pay $30-50 for an entree. Makes a great birthday or anniversary. first off, taylor was our server and he was so great! everything was amazing, we tried the crab crakes and pork belly and scallops and they were all so amazing. they had a wagu special tonight which my boyfriend loved, said it was the best steak he's ever had. i had the ribeye and it was also amazing. our friend had the elk and it was so good with the sauce. we got one of each dessert and the crème brûlée was THE BEST i've ever had. service was amazing, ambiance was amazing, and the food was top tier. highly recommend!! read more

Been here a few times and decided it was time to write a review. I'd say the best restaurant south of I-215 in the valley. I've had the elk, lamb, fillet mignon and lobster, and all of it was excellent. The service is very professional, which is rare for Utah, sadly. The space itself is also very intimate and enjoyable. Head there in the summer and you can enjoy beautiful porch dining near the garden. The one critique I'd have may be the wine service. Personally, I almost always bring my own bottle when dining out in Utah, thanks to the ridiculous laws and taxes here, and Tiburon charges a VERY reasonable corkage for that, which I greatly appreciate. But I did overhear tables near us discuss wine suggestions with their servers and it seemed they lacked basic knowledge of even their own wines. It didn't look like there was a resident sommelier on staff to be called on either, so I'd recommend a bit of preparation in advance on your own to know what to order from their cellar. (Tip: the elk is an amazing pairing with a strong Sta. Rita Hills single vineyard Pinot Noir!) read more

We arrived for our 5pm reservation when they opened and service was great all throughout. Parking in the private lot was not yet filled up. The garden is of course empty in the winter, but probably looks nice usually. The decor was rustic and romantic. Nice and clean everywhere. There were lots of good drink and booze options. We ordered our entrees which were great overall. I liked how much bacon they put on, and everything tasted great. They had a sorbet cleanser between servings which was basically frozen mushed fruit. I liked it a lot. I got double vegetables and was not disappointed- you may want to avoid the mashed potatoes. I would go again to try some of the other desserts. read more
