Worst customer service ever! Don't waist your time or money. The owner is rude . If you don't have the reservation they will give you specific amount of time to finish your dinner. So make sure you are ready,because it can be as little as 30 minutes. It's like running a marathon...if you need some extra napkins better bring your own. My wife and I are in Avon to celebrate our 20th Anniversary and we were so lucky to find this gem of a restaurant. We enjoyed our meal so much the first night that we came back and ate here again tonight. Tonight, we had the fig & prosciutto Pizza and it was outstanding. Last night my wife had the Gnocchi with LaRosa sauce and I had the pork medallions. They were spectacular meals. We also had the pear salad which was so good we're trying to figure out how to replicate it at home. All in all, this was some of the best Italian food we've had in a long time. Ticinos is our favorite restaurant in Avon. We dine here every time we are in town. Sometimes twice a visit. We love the bolognese, Rosa sauce, meatballs, arugula salad and Caesar salad. Pizzas are great too. Definitely a family favorite! read more

My husband and I had dinner there on a Saturday night. It was so reminiscent of. NYC Italian place. Spaghetti la Rosa was delicious, it was topped by eggplant Parmesan that was cooked just right. I had the Chicken Piccatta and it was so good. The pasta was so fresh and cooked perfectly. The mixed grilled veggies that came on the plate were cooked well, too. We had a glass of the Montepulciano and the Barbera. Both were decent wines. A shout out to Bernardo. He took excellent care of us and the owner came by twice to check on us. I thought this place was going to be so good, because it is Italian owned. However, this place was a total MISS. The only good thing I have to say is that the owner (older man) and the waitress were really friendly. The Caesar salad was okay, and the bread was so/so. The thing that I was horrified at was that the CHEF (a younger gentleman) wasn't wearing a mask while touching the pizza dough and making our food. DURING COVID! A few minutes later, I see him picking his nose...and he doesn't even wash his hands!!! Who wants to see that from a chef? I was so turned off, but I decided to give the lasagna I ordered a try. This place is fantastic! We ate at the bar and talked with Charles, the owner most of the night. Great crowd even tho it's the last week of skiing for Beavercreek. Great drinks and good wine. Had the veal short ribs and have to say it was one of the best meals I've ever eaten. All homemade. Also have a lemoncello and a pannecotta after dinner. Both also homemade. The lemoncello is soooo much smoother than any bottled that you will find in the liquor store. Three thumbs up. You have to try this place! read more

Went while traveling on business. Group of 3 of us. When we areived, they asked if we had a reservation, which we did not. We were told that they were not sure if they could seat us because they were a small restaurant but they did give us a table in the 1/2 empty restaurant. Ordered drinks. After asking for bread, received same- hot bread! Ordered out main courses. At some point, we saw an individual who we knew and chatted briefly with him. While we were eating our main course, we asked for another round of drinks. After some time the server came back and asked us what we were drinking. She explained that the individual who we talked to earlier had paid for our tab up to that point and since the check had been closed, she could no longer see what we were drinking. We gave her our drink order. However we were not happy about someone us paying for our food. We asked the waitress to reverse the other card so that we could pay our own bill. Don't get me wrong, I really love good, small, and local places as much as anyone and I feel bad knocking one of those but this place isn't anywhere near 4.5 stars. I felt robbed by yelp that I wasted a meal here The service was above average, the noodles are homemade, but my first warning should have been the Tupperware being pulled from a microwave with assorted food in it. We had the asiago app (greasy, average and unimpressive) and then had the bolognese (decent) and meatballs. The meatballs had a really odd flavor. Maybe it was mint or something but they were not good. The wife had the rosa sauce and it was fine but her chicken parm tasted like breaded tofurkey. It had the strangest, densiest flavor/taste. We got tiramisu to go and it was pretty awful. Maybe it was a bad night, maybe it was what we ordered, but wow was I disappointed. I am also not one of these smug douche bags expecting Italy or NYC in Avon. Anyone who compares it is a tool. I just wanted decent Italian and it failed to deliver. read more

Marinara sauce is my Italian bugaboo. Far too often, this sauce that I love gives me heartburn. Alas, I discovered a mild, yet flavorful one at Ticino. It covered the meat lasagna that I thoroughly enjoyed at my visit there. Everything was delicious, from the freshly baked bread (with olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping), to my "local's favorite" (and I now know why) lasagna to my girlfriend's Pollo Cacciatore, which was chicken cooked in a mushroom, pearl onion and white wine sauce. The margharita pizza was very nice, too. The service was excellent and made for an overall excellent experience. Like the Terminator, I'll be back. read more

Awesome! We went here to celebrate our daughter's first birthday. It was everything I could have hoped for for our celebration & more. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was great. I loved the countless combinations of custom pasta dishes. I had the spaghetti with creamy tomato sauce & chicken parm. The cheesecake was great. I could tell they made it there. They put a candle in it & when we sang to our little girl the next table joined in as well. I didn't try the cannolis, but they looked legit as well. So 6:00 on an evening of Christmas week...this place was slammed with America's entitled elite skiing Beaver Creek in snow provided by God. The owner and bartender immediately took a carry out order and directed us to a bar around the corner...focused on us obvious nobodies as if we were celebrities and kicked off a most pleasant wait. The pizza is simply the best I have ever eaten...had pepperoni for one pizza and then a Greco...simply proof for the existence of God. This is a great hole in the wall restaurant. The food selection was what you would expect of an Italian restaurant. We ordered the caprese salad, asiago cheese app, lasagne, and arugula and fig pizza. The cheese and caprese salad were both an appropriate size for an appetizer. The lasagne was absolutely delicious. It was fantastic comfort food. The pizza was light and crispy and well balanced with the figs, arugula, and prosciutto. Overall, the food was great and well priced. Our hotel concierge recommended this place when we arrived in town, weary from a day of traveling and looking for good food in a casual setting. We were slightly skeptical when it turned out to be inside an office plex/indoor strip mall-type building, but once we navigated the hallways and found the restaurant, we were greeted very warmly and seated right away. I had a great minestrone-like soup and a delicious salad with apples, candied walnuts and feta that they added grilled chicken to at my request to turn it into an entree salad. Others at my table had pasta with eggplant, gnocchi and pasta with bolognese sauce - everyone was quite happy with their choices. I'm very picky about bread at restaurants - but was not at all disappointed with the bread basket that came before our meal here. It was warm, soft and served with olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. Fairly small restaurant in a 1 story shopping complex. When the taxi dropped us off at the turn around i was a bit confused because you can only see the restaurant signage from one side of the building. You have to go in and you'll be led to the location. The waitress and the owners were all very pleasant. I wouldn't go as far as call the food gourmet but it was very delicious family style cooking. This is more where the locals go for a good affordable meal. I would come here again. Their pizza's and other dishes are very unique and not what you commonly would except. I ventured here on Christmas Eve thanks to my mobile YELP app. It had the highest score for places walkable from our hotel. And it didn't disappoint. A very cute cozy place. Very much a family owned business. The owner stopped by our table and shared his story of coming to America from Italy. We were wanting to come in on Christmas day, but the owner explained even though it's a bad business decision his employees wouldn't like it. So the restaurant was closed Xmas day. We had the lasagna based on what other Yelpers said. We also had the Antipasti Misto. If you've ever been to a restaurant where the food is so good you completely overindulge and you eat to the point your stomach cannot intake any more and you have two bites left to finish your plate.. and you box it!!!! That was this place. I'm so happy to see the positive reviews on here for Ticino. Well deserved! And it earns my highest score. read more

I came in on crutches and the only bad part of this experience was an employee from another shop who looked right at me and let the door slam in my face behind her. She was in a big hurry to get a coffee here. The waitress quickly got the door for me and seated me in a place that would be comfortable and allow for ample space. This place has awesome pizza. For about $7-8 you can choose from one of the several pizzas they offer. They are made on a hand-tossed crust that is not too thick or thin. The pizza is about the size of a large plate. I have polished one off by myself on several ocassions, but I can easily see two people splitting one for a light lunch as well. The pizzas are not greasy at all and the ingredients are very fresh. I know they have other offerings, such as some really tempting looking baked desserts, but the pizza is so good it's all I ever go for. The restaurant is fairly small and always clean with a nice porch to enjoy in the warmer weather. This is definitely my first choice for pizza in Avon. read more

This is the cutest, little hidden secret in a touristy area. The staff is awesome, the owner really cares about the customers experience and the food is amazing! I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because when we were visiting it was a busy weekend (Tough Mudder event was in town). They were pretty slammed when we first walked in, but after about 30 minutes half the dining room was empty. We sat for 20 minutes waiting to pay and it's a small restaurant - so, it's not like they didn't see we were finished. Asked for bread - never came. Got the wrong check after they forgot about the first one. Nearly every other table was having some sort of issue too. But upon observing how they operate (while I was waiting) I think the staff was just unorganized. Back to the food, however, despite the service my pasta was five stars all the way! We split an entree (pasta), a salad, ordered two glasses of wine and it only ran us $44. Not bad and it was more than enough food for us! I will come back to this restaurant someday - I just hope the next time I can update my review with better service. read more
