    Iced Vanilla Latte

We went to Tidal Coffee after eating at Schooners and the vibes were great. Drinking coffee with the water front view is just amazing! There's a bench where you can sit down and enjoy your cup of coffee- which is what I did and it was great. Service was nice and quick; I got a small iced vanilla latte and it was a little too milky for my liking, but maybe that's because it only had one shot. Next time I will ask for two shots and I think it'll be better!

I decided to try one of their specials which was a white strawberry mocha. I was afraid that it was going to be too sweet, but I have to say that it was surprisingly balanced where you definitely still get coffee flavor. Other pros are that it is located in a nice little area overlooking the water and they have outdoor seating. Cons I would say are their whole beans don't have a roasting date and the barista i encountered seemed bland/borderline rude. I walked over but parking seems to be street meter parking that could be a little rough on availability.

One of my favorite coffee stops in the Monterey area! I've visited here with every visit to California and it does not disappoint. This time around I got a breakfast sandwich which was really tasty! The coffee is very good and I like the variety in their fun monthly menu. Lots of employees there to keep the line moving. And don't forget to sit outfit and enjoy the amazing views.

Located next to the Monterey Plaza Hotel, Tidal Coffee offers a quick refreshing drink and food stop with beautiful views of the Monterey Bay. I recently came here looking for a lunch spot to grab a light snack and drink. This cafe is conveniently located towards the back of the hotel, offering beautiful views of the bay from its expensive patio with plenty of outdoor dining spaces. We grabbed ourselves a croissant, chicken salad croissant sandwich, and an iced tea. Portion sizes for the food are tiny, and I guess are justified by the location. I would say that the sandwich and croissant are roughly 1/3 smaller than what you would find at a typical cafe. It appears that the sandwiches are made off-site and prepared in advance. So the croissant was not necessarily the freshest. Nonetheless, the beautiful views and ambience more than made up for the subpar food quality. There aren't many other fast casual options in the Cannery District of Monterey. So if you're looking for a picture perfect location for your afternoon snack or lunch, Tidal Coffee is worth a stop!

Walked over from the Main Street in Monterey since we were just strolling in the area. They have an extensive menu and sell a lot of local goods. The matcha tasted like milk, which isn't a bad thing if you don't like the taste of matcha? Service was good. Ambience was nice since it was by the water. Not a lot of indoor seating, but a good amount outside

Service -3.5/5 Ambiance- 4/5 It's atmosphere pays homage to John Steinbeck like a few other places on Cannery Row. Food- 3.5/5 The matcha tea was standard but the breakfast burrito, although lukewarm, was pretty good!

Tidal Coffee is in a great location and overall worth a visit. I ordered the mocha with dark chocolate syrup, which was delicious and well balanced, and my husband got the iced americano with vanilla. They initially gave his drink hot instead of iced, but it was quickly corrected. We were a bit disappointed that they ran out of the PBJ sandwiches we were really looking forward to trying. Aside from that small hiccup, the coffee was great and we'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Very near beach. Next to Monterey plaza. A bit more affordable than the Bay Area price. Flavor is decent. Nice seating area. Could get crowded sometimes.

Good coffee with the most beautiful, spectacular view outside the food was yummy but a little pricey (I wouldn't assume otherwise since the location). I ordered the iced mocha and the breakfast burrito.

View from the dog friendly, outdoor seating area can't be beat on a sunny day. For Monterey area, the prices for coffee, snacks and food were very reasonable. Technically, you don't have to buy anything here to enjoy the public tables outside but we would like to support the local business. Bathrooms are available inside the hotel, downstairs from the lobby. Enjoy!

Food was blah! How hard is to make a good English muffin, hash brown and cheese breakfast sandwich?! In comparison, the Starbucks sandwich of egg, mozzarella was way better!

This is such a cute coffee shop right off Cannery Row. They have a decent selection of breakfast options such as pastries, breakfast sandwich, and even breakfast burritos. The coffee menu here is robust as well. I went with my classic cold brew with a splash of almond milk and a half pump of hazelnut syrup. When I first looked at the cold brew through the sunlight, it seemed thin (see my pic) but it had a very bold and rich flavor that I thoroughly enjoyed! The ham and cheese croissant was much larger than I thought it would be and very filling. This was made with actual slices of ham and two pieces of what I believe to be Muenster cheese. This coffee shop has an indoor small indoor seating area and an awesome outdoor seating area that overlooks the ocean. We sat outside and enjoyed the morning sun. Technically this coffee shop is part of Monterey Bay Plaza Hotel and spa. Which means, if you purchased coffee, you're allowed to go inside and enjoy their massive and heated lobby that also overlooks the ocean. Pro Tip: Stop at Tidal Coffee right before you take the scenic 17 Mile Drive tour of Pebble Beach.

Conveniently located at the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa, Tidal opens early for the area and stays open until around 4. A good option if you have an early morning tour and need a quick bite and coffee on the go. The staff were always friendly and helpful as well.

It was a beautiful sunny day so we sat outside to enjoy the sunshine and listen to the sea lions. Raul came out to check on us and we could not thank him enough for his amazing food and hospitality. For lunch, I went with their Big Sur pizza on gluten free crust. The crust was impressive. Not my favorite I've ever had but still a really good job. The pizza was vegan with fried oyster mushrooms, baked white mushrooms, various veggies, and a red sauce with white sauce drizzle. Pizza was great. Really sold me on coming back the next day. As for brunch, they did not have the GF biscuits. The gravy was still vegan and they offered to serve it on GF focaccia bread. However, at $22, I couldn't do it. Besides, I would at least need to add a couple eggs for some protein and I wasn't about to spend all of that on brunch. So instead, I went with huevos rancheros. This was excellent. The poblano sauce was spicy and hearty, the tortillas nice and crisp, and the pinto beans an interesting change of pace. The potatoes were awesome. Place is plain and pretty basic. The outside seating is in the sun and facing a blacktop parking lot, so you don't come here for the ambiance. But the food and service were excellent. Great vegan meals.

All the people in line, waiting for food seem to have no problem waiting for it because they knew it would be worth it. And honestly... Considering the line of people we saw behind us (10-11?) and the fact that there were three ahead of us... no one really had to wait very long at all! It was really impressive how much he could get done by himself. The next time you're in Monterey, California, you definitely need to check out Paprika. I only managed to get one photo of my plate of food because I was too distracted by deliciousness to remember to take photos of anyone else's food.
