My family and I absolutely love Tide Tables! There is almost always a wait but it is sooo worth it. They have a tiki bar to purchase drinks at while you wait. From combo seafood platter as blackened sides of carrot salad option, ceasar salad, BBQ pork ribs, mushroom burger, mojo chicken, fried mushroom for appetizer and dessert was key lime pie and special of the day, chocolate oreo pie! If you don't come here you are doing yourself a disservice. We came by boat, and I have been to a thousand waterfront restaurants, and they all seem to offer the same choices....not Tide Tables. We sat at the bar with a view of the water and ordered a cold Corona. The service was quick and friendly. The specials of the day were Seafood Chowder. Think NE Clam Chowder but on steroids. Chunks of shrimp and grouper. We also ordered the grouper dip. If you've had fish dip before, forget what you know. Huge chunks of Grouper, onion and green pepper with their house made hot sauce. Unbelievable. The bar tender suggested the Snapper Bites special. He mentioned that they were filleting the fish at the dock as we spoke. Very good. We also Met the owner Bobby. Nice guy. The restaurant is located in a fishing village and Grouper is fillet fresh every day!!!! I mean, REALLY!!! Why would you want to go anywhere else. Be prepared, as there is normally a wait for a table, they are working with a tiny kitchen. While you wait they have set up a tiki bar by the dock, so you can enjoy a beverage and become mesmerized by the wonderful view. Such a beautiful site; Dolfins, fish, pelicans, turtles, sunsets, local fishing boats passing by. When coming to Yelp to write this review I saw a couple people write poor reviews based on the restaurant serving plastic cups and no straws. But why would you want to risk hurting all the things that make this view perfect. Glass breaks, and straws can injure sealife. This is our favorite go to place for last couple of years. I am a local and landlord that always comes here for the best grouper dinner in Florida . Luckily I am in between renters and enjoy the ambience, friendly staff a blackened grouper. I long ago stopped going to the beach house restaurant due to their lack of parking, bland menu and incessant Saturday night weddings. The entire family loved this place! Casual dining experience right on the water. Everything was so fresh. You can see them filleting the fish on the dock. The fish tacos were amazing, so many flavors! My husband thought the fried Mahi Mahi was very good, some of the best fish he's had. All sauces are made in house and the homemade desserts were delicious. Outstanding service - our waiter Michael was great! The only complaint I have is with the seating inside. Heard so much about this institution that when I was with my husband we decided to give it a try. Yelpers, you disappoint me!! It had over 4 stars but I guarantee you the meal we had barely made one. The history is really something, and sitting on the water was great, but it stopped there. We were seated at a table without any napkins (they use a roll of paper towels and the seat and table were very wet-they were wiped off, but never dried so I sat down and immediately realized that I would be sitting in wet clothes for the remainder of the meal. We had to ask twice for paper towels and explained that we needed them bore the meal so we could wipe down our seating. Well we got them after our food was served. Took quite some time for our server to come over for drink orders. Now I don't mind drinking out of plastic cups, but for the price they charge- think not. One of the specials were grouper cheeks. $16.95. There were six. They came with french fries that were limp and greasy and a side of coleslaw that was so bad we couldn't eat it. It wasn't just that we didn't like it, there was definitely something wrong, it had a very strong metallic taste. The other recommended meal was the fish tacos. You could have a choice of fish but they come with covina (so I thought what the heck, it was said to be mild and flaky). Well I understood that they were served blackened, but mine were just grilled--no taste-the ginger sauce was so watery that the tortillas were soggy. They were served with the same BAD coleslaw and a side of their carrot, raisin, green pepper slaw that was passable, but nothing to ever order again. Our server checked on us just as our food was served and we never saw her again. We had to get up and ask someone to have our server bring the check. I really wanted to love this place, but I have found much better and at a better price. read more

Nice little dockside dive that serves fresh seafood. Grouper is the primary fish they sell...and they store it in coolers right off the dock from the daily catch. Your dinner was probably alive before the sun came up. I got my fish blackened which was yummy. The carrot salad was a delicious and welcome accompaniment different from the standard "fries or rice" you get at most places. Fries are available if you prefer. Prices are reasonable. We got here and there was a wait of about 40 minutes so we had some drinks at the tiki bar- finally we got our table and decided to try the grouper appetizer and none of us had ever had grouper and I am so glad we got it we almost got another order! After trying Thai Palace for dinner unsuccessfully, I scrambled for a place to eat due to dinner options being scant on a Sunday night. I found this place on yelp. I had 30 minutes before closing. Initially I sat at the outside bar but then I spotted some bar stools and a counter in the corner right over the water. What prime real estate for eating! The sound of the waves slapping against the shore added a calmness to the ambience. I ordered the conch fritters and grilled scallops, which cost $28.65. I think this is a bit pricey for one person given the amount of food, but oh well. The food arrived about ten minutes after ordering, which was good. However, neither dish was spectacular - just your average seafood. I thought the scallops were slightly over salted, and the coleslaw had a funny taste, as if it had spoiled.
