I've been a loyal client of my nail tech for about five years and even followed him to this salon, so I expected the same level of care I've always received. I came in asking to have my acrylics removed since I need short nails for school, but he convinced me to keep them and just shorten them. I agreed, but the end result was nothing like what I asked for. The color was completely different from the dark blue I requested, and the nails were noticeably longer than I wanted. The pedicure was also disappointing. I paid extra for a callus treatment, yet my feet were barely scrubbed. It felt rushed and careless, which is not what I expect from an upgraded service. Even though I was unhappy, I still tipped generously and thanked them before leaving. After sitting in my car and realizing how dissatisfied I was, I went back inside less than ten minutes later to politely ask if they could shorten and repaint my nails. The staff seemed visibly frustrated, even though the fix was quick and simple and took less than ten minutes. I was then told I needed to pay an additional thirty dollars. My nail tech apologized, but that doesn't change the fact that I was charged extra to correct something that wasn't done as requested in the first place. I've been nothing but loyal and respectful for years, so this was really disappointing. After this experience, it's clear that customer satisfaction isn't a priority here. I won't be returning, and I hope this feedback encourages better communication and a little more care for loyal clients in the future. I came in for a hard gel fill, when I asked if they have UV protective gloves (my other nail salon offers them) he looked at me blankly, said something in his native tongue to his co workers. He was agitated. He brought back something that looked like a fabric you put your hand in but fully covers your hand and didn't look like a UV glove.. I asked politely if this was a UV glove, he stares back and makes a rude remark saying if you don't want to stay here you can go. That's exactly what I did. This is about my third time coming here, it's close to home so I decided to give it a try. Both times I have gotten gel on my toes they have chipped. I didn't complain the first time bc I thought it was a one off. Last time I went I did gel on my toes and gel x on my hands. They chipped off again. I called before going in today they looked up my info with my phone number and told me I don't need an appointment, I can walk in, nothing more. Once I showed up they told me it would cost $10 per nail to fix it. I've been doing gel and gel x for years and I have never had gel x chip. I reiterated this to three different people, the last one was crabby and unpleasant and had zero regard for customer service. I have a big celebration on Saturday and now I'm stressed and will pay elsewhere for another full set . My Nail Bar is clean and simple but I wasn't thrilled with the service. I went for pedicures with a friend. We chose different pedicure options (basic and callus removal). Both list massage on what is included (and who doesn't love a good foot massage?). There was no massage. The "massage" was applying lotion to our legs and feet before putting on polish. When we asked the woman at the front said the massage was just a couple of minutes, and it wasn't even that. My nail person was not especially friendly and did not like that we asked about the massage option. There are many other great nail salons around, I won't be revisiting My Nail Bar. read more

The tech rushed through the appointment, was rough, and paid no attention to detail. It was clear they didn't even know what a nude polish looked like. I got pedicure here once (last year) and they did a great job, but I wouldn't come back here for gel mani. I've been on the hunt for a new nail place ever since my old one burned down in the LA fires. This was hands down one of the best quality manicures I've ever gotten. They listened and communicated well about what shape was best for me and listened to my preferences and kept asking if it was looking okay during the process to make sure I was happy. I like how they didn't use power tools to remove my gel, which I think causes a lot of nail damage. The gel isn't too thick and seems less likely to catch or chip. The pedicure was gentle, which I appreciate because I have sensitive toes. The last place I went to literally cut a chunk out of my toe and didn't even say a word, I guess hoping I wouldn't notice?? Anyway, I'm grateful to find a new go-to place and am spreading the word to others. read more

I didn't get a fill, they merely polished the old color off and repainted - no actual manicure, took 15 min - and charged 45 bucks. Regular gel polish change was 25 and requires way more work (soak off etc.). read more

I absolutely love going to My Nail Bar as the staff are so sweet and the nail designs are amazing The one thing that I would hope could be better are their pedicures. They initially scrubbed my feet and it was a bit weak. I told them to please really scrub my heels and around my big toe because it's dry. They told me they did. I just got home and saw that they didn't (photo for reference) This doesn't require any callus remover, just a bit more effort. I've gone 4 times for a pedicure with 4 different people with the same result. Again, for manicure nail designs, this is definitely the place to go! read more

I definitely won't be returning here. The atmosphere was as joyless as a bus station, and it was clear that the staff would rather be anywhere else. Tuan, my pedicurist, completely lacked personality, rushing through my toes like he was late for a train. Phuong took on my gel manicure with all the warmth of a refrigerator, handling my hands roughly and directing me around her chair with zero pleasantries. The "massage" felt more like a perfunctory task than a relaxing treat. When I pointed out a bald spot on one of my nails, Phuong's response was less than gracious, grabbed my hands and begrudgingly fixed it. And the icing on the cake? The gel polish began chipping in just two days and looked disastrously undone within 6 days--so much for "lasting" 2-3 weeks like my usual place does when I do gels. I've included photos as proof of the slapdash job (first photo shows where middle and index finger has areas where polish was thinner, next photo is chipping after less than a week). All this for $75 before tip! Nails that last a week for $100? No thank you. Steer clear unless you're a fan of rushed jobs with zero charm! read more

*this is a powder/dip manicure & gel pedi review* I really wanted to like this place. I have been driving down to Long Beach for the last year to get my nails done and got sick of driving that far every three weeks. So I found this place on yelp. Great reviews, great pictures... it appeared to be the quality I drive 45 miles for. Well it was too good to be true. My nails are uneven lengths, uneven/different shaping and the powder dip began chipping after a couple days on 3 different nails. I've now had three nails break as a result. The dip powder was also extremely uneven and bumpy and not properly/well applied especially near the edges. My gel pedi was uneven and sloppily applied as well but has not chipped. Both techs I worked with were super nice however I will not be returning. The lack of quality is not worth $75 let alone $120 (w/o tip). The hunt for a high-quality nail place on the west side continues.... these are my nails less than a week post-manicure read more

First time at this nail salon and we are so glad we found this place. My daughter and I have been searching for a nail salon who can do nail art. We've tried other places and others can never do what we want even though we provide a picture of the style and art we want. Today, we found our new nail salon!!! When we got there, we were greeted nicely and then we picked our colors. we did wait for a while before we got started but we understand as they were busy when we arrived. I got a gel mani and regular pedi. I did nail art and arts are $10 for 2. My pedi was great and my mani was also great! The ladies that did my pedi and mani were very nice, quiet but very friendly. They did a great job with my polish! They were detail oriented and the polish came out so nice. The nail art that I wanted was a hibiscus flower. Anna who is an awesome artist did a great job replicating the picture I showed her. She is a perfectionist and she did such an amazing job with my art as well As my daughter's. My daughter wanted the Avenger "A" and a Spiderman and she did amazing! We were so happy to find My Nail Bar and we will definitely be coming back! They are located in Santa Monica on Broadway St. Street parking only. The salon was nice, clean and the staff were friendly. The spa chair was very comfortable and the massage were very relaxing. We are a fan! I'm not sure how much the services cost as there were no posts of pricing. We feel the service and especially the art we wanted we finally got and the price we paid was reasonable.
