Most of the nail salons in SM charge $40 just for a gel Mani, but here you pay only $47 total for a regular pedicure AND a gel manicure. I can see why Lynn's nail salon is so popular and busy; great service for a great price. The guy who runs the front desk is awesome. I was able to schedule a same-day appointment and didn't have to wait. My nails look great and I'm happy with the results. They are still operating inside, but all the doors and windows are open. I have been coming here for a decade and had THE WORST service today. I called to come in for Manicure and Pedicure. I arrive at 12:45. They start with my manicure while I sit there for someone to do my pedicure. My manicure finishes at 1:20. Two people walk in for pedicures and they immediately sit them down and begin their pedicures while mine hasn't started. They tell me someone will be with me soon. This is terrible customer service especially to a loyalty customer. My pedicure should have been prioritized as I was a customer actively getting services. This is extremely annoying and upsetting. I left and decided to go give my pedicure business to someone else. They didn't even apologize or do anything to fix the situation. I have patronized this nail salon for over 10 yrs. They use to be my favorite. I live out of town, I come here to visit my kids. This last recent visit, I called before I came, they said no reservation necessary, just come in. I walked there, was seated in a pedi seat quickly. The pedicurista started working on my feet w/o soaking them first. I asked 'aren't you going to soak my feet?'. She filled the tub, gave me the fastest pedicure on record, very little scrubbing, no attention to my problem areas. She gave me a pretty good manicure, but I was so disappointed. I called in the morning to make an appointment and they were nice enough to get me in the same day. I got here 10 mins before my appointment and got me in right away. I got a gel pedi and I have to say the person who did it ( LISa) was beyond amazing. I love how she takes her time and and listens to what I asked for!! If you want your feet to feel fresh and good than come and ask for her. The reason I am giving it 3 stars is because the lady doing my nails rushed my nails, didn't listen to me when I was considered how my nails were looking, honestly she didn't do anything to them. What got me disturbed is she started cutting her nails and they were getting into my hair. That's so nasty... she shouldn't be cutting her nails in front of customers like that. I went to this salon to have my gel overlay manicure removed, and I'm extremely disappointed with the service. They charged $15 for removal, which is much higher than the usual cost of around $5 at other salons. To make matters worse, they were incredibly rough with my nails. The technician used a large file most of the time, instead a more precise and detailed tool like a drill, which caused damage to my already thin, fragile nails. She pushed down too hard while filing aggressively, inconsiderate of how delicate my nails are. She also reused the same cotton for the soak-off without adding new acetone each time, which made the process less effective as the dried out acetone couldn't penetrate deep enough, causing the removal to take much longer than necessary. On top of that, she didn't cut away the large pieces of gel that were already lifting from my natural nail, which meant the acetone couldn't reach the center of my nails where the gel was still firmly attached, and meant she needed to use the file more to remove the layers of gel. I also left with chunks of gel still stuck on my nails and two cuts on my fingers from where the file slipped. I won't be returning and would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I was refused service here. On my previous visit, I had gasped when the manicurist cut my skin. Blood was coming out. She did it again, and I gasped again. At the end of my manicure, I tipped her well, as I always did. I had gone here for years. I'd been a good client. This wasn't a one-time visit. It just happened that she cut me. I went back to this Nail Lounge, figuring it was a one-off. I walked into the store and that's when the guy behind the counter said he would not serve me. He pointed to the sign. I said, "Why not?" He looked at some of the manicurists, and in a loud voice said, "Is this the one?" A few of them nodded. I walked out in shame. This was a couple of years ago, before the pandemic. I still feel shame over it. It was such a horrible experience. I just kept my head down as I left the place. So, the deal is this. They give a good manicure, but if they accidentally jab you, keep quiet. The prices are good. I'd been going for a long time when this happened. But still feeling horrible today. My first time here today! I was going to a closer place in Venice, but saw this place when I was heading to Gelson's one day and decided to try it for my next pedicure. I am happy I did. Very spacious and clean place. They had great social distancing measures in place. You had to walk in and wash your hands at the sink first. They had a plexiglass stand between you and the technician. She was very gentle and thorough. You can add on extra time of foot massage and she also offered a shoulder massage while my toes dried. That was awesome. I had no clue what I was going to end up paying for this since I was not told a price ahead of time..BUT well worth it. I needed those shoulders worked on just as much as my pedi!! I am definitely heading back for my next pedi. I don't do my fingernails so I cannot speak to that..but well worth the pedi!! read more

This place was recommended to me by. Few people but it's very tire looking. They don't clean their instruments but re used them. If you go you are one big step from getting a nail infection as your gift when you leave. Also, they cut one of my nails sides all the way to the cuticle to big leaving me with an nail injury and they didn't even say sorry. Every time I return, I remember why I stopped going in the first place. I was a regular at this place, but their long wait times and inconsistent job made me go elsewhere. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER 25 YEARS I started going to Lynn's when she had her small nail salon on Lincoln Blvd and followed her when she got the salon in Gelsons shopping center on Lincoln and Ocean Park. When she sold the business I stayed on as a client. I have gone every other week for 25 years. Tan who does my fill is going on vacation to Vietnam for 5 weeks so I spoke to the owners son David to try to schedule my next appointment with the girl who also does fills. He said that since several people will be going back to Vietnam on vacation they will be short staffed and Kim won't be doing fill appointments during that time as someone may have to wait an hour to an hour and a half if she's running behind. I asked how she could be running that far behind if she has a scheduled appointment and David told me she's been losing a lot of customers because they've had to wait so long. I said so you're telling me I need to find a different salon after being a loyal person for over 25 years and spending roughly 200.00 per month there because you're allowing her to continue to mismanage her time? I said no customer should be expected to wait 1-11/2 hours when they have a scheduled appointment. He said there wasn't anything he could do about it. I said well have you forgotten she works for you and you pay her? He said he was sorry but couldn't do anything about it. All I can say is I'm beyond shocked and disappointed. So much for being a loyal customer. Apparently that and my money mean nothing. I will miss Phuong doing my pedicure and foot massage as she is fabulous so if you do decide to go there ask for her and you won't be disappointed. That is of course if you can reach anyone on the phone to schedule an appointment as they usually allow it to ring all day and go to voicemail unless of course the mailbox is full and you can't leave a message and if you do the call is rarely returned. read more

Not good. The lady cut my toe nail short and jagged and left the other one long. She didn't even do a good job applying the polish as she got it on my skin. This is after I let her upsell me to the "deluxe" pedicure. After I brought it up she tried to argue with me. I can't believe I paid $25 for something I could have done way better myself. This place is truly hit or miss for me. It depends on who is working on your nails. I am a Massage Therapist and so I always ask for the shortest nails they're comfortable giving me, and no polish for my fingers. My biggest request is to please "clean up the cuticles aggressively and to make the nails rounded, not square. Today, the woman doing my hands just phoned it in. She didn't really seem to care about giving me the simple things I had asked for. I need for my cuticles to be done and for my nails to be rounded, so I won't be tempted to bite on the dry skin or "side" part of my nails. Today, she failed and I am disappointed enough to write this review. I was, however, like clockwork, asked if I wanted 1) the deluxe mani/pedi (I was asked that twice), 2) If I wanted my nails "buffed and polished", 3) if I wanted a massage, and 4) If I wanted extra massage time on my hands. I don't want to constantly be asked all of these things, and I DO want to get what I did ask for. I'm not sure if I will go back, unless I learn the names of the few Nail Techs that do seem to pay attention and care. You know, I've been here about 6 times now, and every time I leave I ask myself- Why did I come here again? Every time I come here... I either get a good pedicure and a bad manicure, or a bad pedicure and a good manicure. Yesterday I came here for a deluxe mani/pedi and it was surprisingly busy-- usually when I come there are a couple nail technicians napping in the massage chairs, or eating their lunch (which seems kind of gross with nail clippings and acrylic dust in the air). I don't really mind any of this-- I'm from Cincinnati, OH-- I've seen my share of odd behaviors. Yesterday the woman that gave me my "deluxe" manicure which definitely cost more than the standard manicure-I'll have you-- skipped every single point of the deluxe... there was no green mud stuff-- no arm and hand rub-- I thought to myself, well maybe she forgot-- nope-- she put some lotion on my arms which took about 15 seconds and still charged me the deluxe price. This place is just a hair below average and sadly just isn't worth the price of admission. The 2 star description of "Meh. I've experienced better," has never been more accurate. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. Best relaxing place ever for me. I have my mani's & pedi's here every two weeks at least, and my waxing done here. It's definitely my place to be spoiled. They also offer massages...and they're really relaxing. There's one person that waxes very very well. I've been to numerous places, and now, there's only one person here who waxes me and I'd only ask for her. She's my best. Can I get a what, what??? This place is awesome! Stopped by because I am heading to a wedding and needed a mani/pedi STAT and just happened to go to the grocery store in the same plaza. This isn't the fanciest place you will walk in and they don't have a ton of nail polish colors to choose from but what they lack in ambiance, decor and choices they make up for with the courtesy of the technicians and their service!!!! I am so glad I went in because it was amazing! I ended up getting the deluxe mani/pedi because it was only $38 and that is way cheaper than on the East Coast and they actually got my in grown nails out! Not only was the mani/pedi amazing but they do massages by the minute and the technicians may look tiny but their hands are strong and they really work on your knots!!! I started with ten minutes and then kept adding 5 more minutes!!! It was seriously fantabulous and I highly recommend them!!! read more

My first time coming here after a few bad experiences at other nail salons. The woman who did my feet was great. I got a deluxe pedi, painting, calluses scrub, hot towel and massage. My feet were pretty bad, and this woman did a better job than I have had in the past. I am from out of state, I haven't been able to find a place that does what I need. Lynn's Lounge is clean, friendly staff, very patient and they're good on prices. There was even an unpleasant customer in the shop and the staff handled it well. They are very professional and calm. In general, this salon use to do decent work. Now a days they just want to customers they can run through their nail factory. They seem to just want to get clients in and get them out as quickly as possible. This need to quickly get customers and out has affected the quality of the work and the treatment of their loyal clientele. I was a loyal of Kim's for 7 years but sadly I was so mistreated by her and other staff, that I can no longer recommend this nail salon. It make me sad to say this but if you're expecting them to be detailed with your manicure, you will most likely be labeled as someone who is difficult or "takes too long". I was absolutely floored when I called to make an appointment with Kim, and was told they couldn't or wouldn't fit me in because I "took too long". Huh... I don't get it? How is that EVEN possible, when they're the ones doing my nails??? I'm a very nice person, loyal, tip well and don't ask for anything more then anyone else should expect for a Gel manicure. I agree with other reviewers that it really depends on who you get here. Which bums me out because I love to support hole-in-the-wall mom 'n pop businesses, especially in scene-y L.A. I have been going in to have my gels removed here to observe how they are. The first time I went, the technicians were kind and did a great job. Today, the lady who took the gel off my finger nails cut my finger with a nail file, didn't notice when it started bleeding, and only checked in with me when she saw that I had moved my gaze from my phone, which I had been reading, to my hand. She asked, "What's wrong?" I tried my best not to make a big deal out of it and just said, "I'm bleeding a little bit on this finger. It's a small cut." She didn't apologize and just squirted some rubbing alcohol on it. Later, she had someone else take the polish off my toes and in a very obvious way, was telling the other technician, who was initially kind to me, to watch out for me. The technician became noticably frosty with me. Um, sorry for moving my gaze to my finger after you cut me and I started bleeding! All of this is just so unnecessary. I've been to more professional salons where if a mistake is made, they immediately catch it without you saying anything, say sorry and ask if you're ok. Especially when you're going out of your way to not be upity about it like some snobby folk can be. Not here. Will not be coming back. And while I found their dated interior charming at first, I am actually questioning their cleaning practices with their tools and their standards for their technicians. read more
