Quick and friendly service, yummy and generous portions, and really great value! Highly recommend and would come again when in a pinch looking for something hearty. The orange chicken surprised me with how big and juicy the chicken chunks were - and you can really taste the orange zest. Enjoyed that a lot, but honestly you can't go wrong with any of their entrees. Chow mein was also fantastic!

Delicious and affordable food! I've been back here countless times along with their other locations. Service is always fast. Ambiance is decent. They got places for you to sit down and eat but it seems like a lot of customers will order it and leave. They have a wide selection ranging from rice, noodles, to tofu, chicken, beef, etc. I've ordered over half of their options at this point and haven't found a single disappointing option. There's something for everyone here. The one thing I'd like to point out is how they package their food. At first glance, it looks like there isn't much for the amount you're spending. But they PACK that stuff in there! I always have enough for a second meal lol.

Tigawok totally gave me upscale Panda Express vibes, but like better. The BEST part though? The free pickled radishes. Why were they so good omg. I was lowkey obsessed and could've just kept snacking on those. My fave dishes were definitely the Hong Kong fried rice, orange peel chicken, and basil chicken. Those were the stars for me. The other dishes we tried were decent, just not as memorable. Prices felt pretty reasonable for how much food you get, so honestly a good bang for your buck kinda spot. I appreciated the little to-go lids since the portions are generous enough that leftovers are very possible.

Absolutely amazing experience with Tigawok! I ordered through DoorDash and honestly can't say enough good things about this place. From the packaging, to the color of the utensils, to the presentation and flavor of the food -- everything felt so well thought out. Even the bag the food came in gave such a fun and quality vibe. I also loved how every container was individually labeled with my name and exactly what each item was. It made everything feel so organized, personalized, and professional. I ordered the Orange Peel Chicken, Hong Kong Sausage Fried Rice, Tiga Mapo Tofu, and Chow Mein, and every single item was delicious. The portions are perfect -- not too little and not overly huge either. I'd say it's ideal for one person, or perfect to order multiple smaller dishes to share between 2-3 people. My only minor issue was that the food arrived a little cold by the time it got delivered, but honestly everything still tasted amazing and fresh. Besides that, I'll definitely be ordering again!

Great place for quick, tasty Chinese food made by robots. I love how they change up the menu so you can always come back to try different things. I've been to a few Tigawok's and I would say getting a majority of their small plates with $2 rice is a better deal than the 3 appetizer with base at $13. I felt like they gave me more mains when I did that and I had more leftovers for the cost being just a little more...unless the worker just gave me smaller portions bc I'm a girl with the 3 appetizer lol. Regardless, taste is delicious! My favorites when they have it are: Cola Chicken, Spicy Chicken Basil (comes with string beans), and their pork belly (comes with potatoes). Great casual dining of Chinese food ala Carte when you're on the go and want to try many small options. Although I do think Chinese restaurants if you just want one main they give you more meats for cheaper price.

There's plenty of parking available. Inside, there are a few tables if you want to dine in, but seating is limited. The ordering process is simple, you choose a base and then add any sides you want. After paying, there's a small station at the end where you can grab utensils and sauces. I ordered the Wagyu Beef & Minced Pork Rice Bowl as my base, along with a side of Red Braised Pork Belly with Potato. The portion size was decently sized and reasonably priced. The pork bowl was really good, but the pork belly was just okay as the meat was a bit dry. Overall, I'd come back to try their other dishes. Recommendation(s): - Wagyu Beef & Minced Pork Rice Bowl Service: 5/5 Tip(s): - Plenty of parking spaces - Limited indoor seating - Accept Apple Pay

Tigawok has better food than all the Chinese restaurants I've tried around my house in Laguna Niguel and yes I'm comparing them with standalone restaurants not fast food. I got the 2 entree bowl for $10.99. The chow mein is full of veggies which I absolutely love and the noodles have a good bite to them. The basil chicken is very flavorful and has the perfect amount of heat. The eggplant-green beans is outstanding, perfect balance of crunchy beans and soft perfectly cooked eggplants. I can eat this every day. I wish the food was a little less salty and oily but still one of my favorite Chinese foods in OC. I love the food packaging and the ambiance is clean and casual. Highly recommended!

I heard about TIGA WOK and it looks okay so we gave this a try. Upon entering the restaurant, the appearance looks like a typical Panda express, how you see or order your food but with a much more appealing look and better food. We ordered a few of them like the WAGYU MAPO TOFU, RED BRAISED BEEF & MINCE PORK & rice bowl, and VEGETABLES If you want your food for to go after they have a section for you to get your own box, bag, utensils etc , my wife said their To-Go containers cute. Foods are okay, plenty of choices to choose from. They have plenty of staffs and all move fast. Plenty of parking around.

While it's a unique concept and they have pretty affordable small plates, the food lacked flavor. Tigawok has a cafeteria style ordering process where you can mix and match based and small entrees. I liked the customization aspect, however the dishes I tried were a little disappointing. The mapo tofu lacked spice and a depth of flavor, and the Wagyu pork base was too sweet for my liking. I'd be open to trying new dishes, but I definitely would not reorder the ones I had. One thing I did like is that the food is constantly being made and fresh, one of the items I ordered was running out, so they gave me a buzzer and told me to come back in 5 minutes when the new batch was done. They also had a great reusable to go boxes and bags.

Been here a couple of times and forgot about the review. Stopped by during their soft opening and they were out of certain items and the lines were longer. Now that they have some time to work out the kinks, things are running smooth and most items are available. With that said, that plaza is busy no matter what time of day you go. Parking can be a pain in the butt. They have a lot of different entrees to select from. I usually get a few and it'll last me 2 or 3 meals. My favorites are the orange peel chicken, the wagyu curry (has nice bit chunks of potato's and carrots and the beef is tender), the toga cola chicken is not bad, and the Wagyu mapo tofu. For the vegetables, I normally get the garlic eggplant and green beans (it has more eggplant than green beans and I'm not a eggplant fan, but its not too bad) and the other dish is the dry pot Brussels sprouts. It's relatively cheap for each dish, about $5-$7 each. It's more authentic than that other Chinese chain with the bear. Ive been back a few times now.

Tigawok is a new modern Chinese cafeteria style fast food concept that is like a nicer version of Panda Express, but with touch of eco friendly containers. This location in Irvine shares a busy parking lot with Trader Joes, YogaSix, and Wanderlust. I've walked by many times while getting my groceries but they are usually so busy I didn't want to deal with the wait. They have a few limited half booths inside, and then plenty of tables for the plaza outside. So I really like that they have mini bowls so it really allows you to get a variety of things. Since it was my first visit I ordered a variety of things to assess their offerings. Steamed Soup Dumplings ($5.50) - These were a bit cold and no soup inside, a bit bland. Not too excited for these. Chilled Garlic Broccoli ($3.99) - Probably the healthiest item on their menu. I really enjoyed the garlic sauce on the broccoli. Sweet Tomato and Scrambled Eggs ($4.99) - A simple dish but a dish I really enjoy when I see it on the menu. Garlic Eggplant and Green beans ($3.99) - I love eggplants and it's a treat having it, but the execution of this dish was a bit oily. Red Braised Pork Belly with Potato ($7.99) - I couldn't resist trying this, and it was really good. It's not as soft and tender as typical braises, but the flavors were there. At the time I came, some of the items I wanted were out, and they were able to give me an ETA so I waited. This is a pro and a con in itself. It sucks when stuff runs out but it also shows that the food churn quickly and you get fresh food. I had plenty of leftovers to take home and eat for 2 more subsequent meals with brown rice I had at home. A great spot for inexpensive eats but not a great spot for a diet. I would come back for some cheap eats but definitely something to be eaten in moderation.

We've been back a handful of times and have always enjoyed the consistency of flavors, relatively short wait times, friendly service, and some of the menu items that Tigawok has been rolling out periodically. Love the great bang for buck and hot and fresh options. Ambiance is casual and their packaging is the absolute best. Love the convenience of self-service for packing leftovers.

I saw @yellow productions reel on Instagram about Tigawok opening in Irvine and shared the reel with the family. We had read on Yelp that the line could be 50 deep at opening time of 11 AM so we made sure to give ourselves 2 hours before work. Parking in this shopping center with Wanderlust Creamery and Trader Joe's is a nightmare on a sunny Saturday around noon. A lady in a Tesla sped up to take the spot we had been waiting for. My husband told me to let it go. We waited for another parking space in the next row as a Trader Joe's customer unloaded her cart. We arrived at Tigawok at 12:20 PM and there were 10 people ahead of us to the start of the line. The line was out the door. When it came to my turn, the employee had to take a break and another lady employee took over. The only other person serving the single line was the boss. Unfortunately, there was no braised pork and Wagyu beef bowl which was what daughter wanted for her base. For my base, I went with the steamed rice and chow mein. For my mini bowls, I chose tiga cola chicken, pepper Kurobuta pork, potato shreds with bean sprouts, sweet tomato & scrambled eggs, garlic eggplant & green beans, and steamed soup dumplings. They had run out of the potato shreds with bean sprouts, but another pan came out from the kitchen fresh and hot and the server gave me a mini bowl of it while still getting my other mini bowls. Daughter chose a staple of steamed rice and mini bowls of pepper Kurobuta pork, mapo tofu, potato shreds with bean sprouts, sweet tomato & scrambled eggs, garlic eggplant & green beans, and Tigawok pork bun. Husband had steamed rice and chow mein, pepper Kurobuta pork, garlic eggplant & green beans, chilled garlic broccoli, and hand torn cabbage. Our cashier Kevin noted the 2 Kurobuta porks we were waiting on and checked us out with a smile at 12:40 PM. As we still had to go to work, I tried to quickly put lids on all the bowls, get utensils, and pack everything in a to go bag. I realized later that I had forgotten the cardboard to make the base of the bag more firm so I had a little spillage. I don't know if it would help with flow to have a separate station for packing to go orders and for customers dining there wishing to get utensils and sides of marinated white radish and sizzling wagyu spice sauce. I think that it is difficult for the people waiting in line if the customers being served don't know what they want to order. It's helpful that the menu is available on the window and in the photos. We had chosen what we wanted to order before arriving at Tigawok. The favorite protein was the tiga cola chicken which is sweet. There are spicy peppers in the Kurobuta pork. We're not sure that we like the pairing of potato shreds with the bean sprouts. An "uncle" at another Chinese restaurant teased my daughter for ordering tomatoes and scrambled eggs when she could make it herself at home. Father likes her fluffier scrambled eggs, but doesn't know if it would be feasible for the restaurant to add milk to their scrambled eggs. Daughter also garnishes her tomato and scrambled eggs with green onions. The garlic eggplant & green beans was an all around winner in the vegetables category. A lot of garlic slices are used in the dishes and the hand torn cabbage has quite a bit of ginger. The steamed dumplings had a lot of soup. Daughter liked the marinated white radish with her chicken. Other daughter whom we brought lunch to said that the mapo tofu needed some kind of meat. When we got home, we washed all the containers to reuse to bring meals to work. We look forward to returning again and trying new dishes. read more

If you are looking for a place to touch all taste buds and be super affordable especially in this day and age - this is the spot. Neat concept where you can choose different bases (white rice, chow mien or this special wagyu curry rice), followed by so many "main" dishes alongside so many vegetable options. The curry beef, orange chicken, chow mien, egg plant dishes were some of my faves. There is a dish for any type of eater. The beauty of it is that you get to build what you want and surprisingly the portions are enough to share especially when your eyes are hungrier than your stomach. You want to try everything :) The store itself is vibrant, welcoming and clean. Staff is friendly and very helpful especially explaining how the ordering process works. One last detail although nothing about the food that stood out to me is when I left, the "to go" containers. The owners put thought into how the food is served in this eco friendly bowls and when you want to take it home, the lids snap into place and is of very high quality. read more

Interesting place. Seems to be an elevated fast food Chinese spot. The best part of the experience was them letting me try multiple dishes before committing to one. Some hit some misses. My favorite was the thinly sliced pork dish. Be warned it is spicy! Second favorite was the orange chicken. I typically don't like orange chicken because it's too sweet and seems artificially flavored. However they actually have orange rind in this dish and it tastes like it's made with real and fresh ingredients. I would come back but not necessarily in a hurry. Great place to get quick lunch to go. read more

Omg came to Tigawok because its a new fast & healthy Chinese restaurant next to omomo O really liked the interior & foods. Their oolong tea was refreshing as well. It was cool to know robots made our meals. The food were good . I would definitely recommend the green bean egg plate, rice with pork, tomato & egg, orange chicken, kungpao, wonton, dumplings, steamed pork buns , mapo tofu * tasted mild * , their beef hunan spicy beef , cabbage, & the brussel sprout. The service was awesome as each person explained the menu so kindly & let us try samples. Each dish is less than $6 or $7 which was affordable despite eating in Irvine. Good service. Was in and out quickly. Portion size fine. Good price. Great branding. Food was well cooked. Problem is that it was more or less flavorless. Idk if I went on an off night but they need to double the seasoning on pretty much everything unless this place is known for being very subtle flavor wise. I was absolutely starving and usually that means everything you eat is gonna taste amazing, but no. Got the cola chicken, pork belly wagyu bowl, and chow mein which was passable. Came during a weeknight for dinner with friends and it was super yummy! The line was a bit long but it moved pretty fast. I really liked the concept of being able to pick different mini bowls to pair with your base. If you go with a group, it's fun because you can family style it and try a variety of options. This is the most affordable Asian food place in Irvine with high quality food options! Good service, great Chinese food, and perfect for takeout. Took the kids to try the new Tigawok in Irvine and I was very impressed! Love the small portion so that everyone gets to pick their favorite dishes and I don't have to worry about ordering too much. And the food was delicious! The girls love their orange chicken and I'm giving a thumbs up to the Hunan spicy beef! The Instagram Reel by the sibling duo: Brooke.and.Ben got us to try Tigawok. This new Chinese restaurant is so unique, flavorful and reasonably priced. We love that the we can get a variety of the authentic Chinese food without breaking the bank. The service is quick and friendly. Ambience is modern, clean and bright. We ate our food so fast that we didn't take any pics. Their KungPao Chicken, Orange Chicken and Pepper Beef. They gave UCI students free drinks....whih is so cool. We will be back soon. read more

Friends told me about this place was having a soft opening this week. We came on Friday morning right at opening to beat the rush. To our surprise, there was a line already before they opened! We had the opportunity to meet two of the owners who were kind enough to explain how the concept works and the ordering process. Let's just say we ended up over ordering for 4 people! Yes, we are the type that likes to try a little bit of everything and shared the plates. Concept: It's like a fresh version of Panda Express. Each item is cooked in big batches ready for quick service. You go down the line and select each item one by one. They are served in individual portions as opposed to Panda's plated items. To our surprise, the portions are pretty good size and found it to be great value for the price point. It's good for 2-4 people to order multiple dishes for sharing but for an individual, I'd recommend 2 entrees + 1 rice or stir fry noodle. We really like the fact there are a lot more variety of items to choose from and are catered to more authentic Chinese palates. Service: Since it was the 5th day of their soft opening, they are still working on fine tuning their work flow. It could have been much quicker if they had maybe 3 people sectioned off down the line as you progress along to expedite the speed. I'm sure they will be adding more staff to expedite the process. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the owner who does your check out. Food: Like I said we definitely over ordered. We got the following items: 1. Zesty shredded chicken - it's almost like Hainan chicken in texture but with zesty flavor already built in. Definitely don't need any dipping sauce for it. 2. Pepper kurobuta pork - flavor was on point and had just the right amount of pepper flavor without being overly spicy. 3. Wagyu mapo tofu - tofu was on the firmer side which I personally prefer soft tofu for my mapo tofu. Sauce was slightly bland so it can definitely be kicked up a bit to pair better with rice. 4. Sweet tomato & scrambled eggs - sauce was too sweet for my personal liking. Owner did say that they are working on sauce to make it less sweet. 5. Kung pao chicken - classic dish and the flavor was on point. The chicken pieces were plump and tender, much better quality than Panda. 6. Hunan spicy beef - perhaps my favorite dish out of the bunch. It had just the right amount of that mala spice without being overpowering. 7. Hand-torn cabbage - cooked with just the right amount of crisp without being overly soggy. 8. White rice - I typically judge quality of a "Chinese" restaurant on the quality of rice they serve and this was exceptional! They use good quality jasmine rice and it wasn't soggy. Overall I can see this would be an up and coming concept that can rival Panda Express for those wanting more authentic Chinese flavors and options. The standout dishes were definitely the Orange Peel Chicken and the Sausage Fried Rice. The Orange Peel Chicken had a great balance of sweetness, citrus, and crispiness without being overly heavy or drenched in sauce. The Sausage Fried Rice was packed with flavor, well-seasoned, and had a satisfying smoky taste that made it hard to stop eating. Came back here again and still good. Got some of the same stuff, but also tried a few new things not pictured. Orange chicken: 8/10. Intense flavor and crunchy large pieces. Cola chicken: 7/10. Good but not as good as the orange chicken in my opinion. Brussels sprouts: 5/10. A bit bitter and lacking in flavor. Wagyu curry: 4/10. Mostly had pieces of fat unfortunately. I was looking forward to this one. The kurobuta pork remains my favorite, but I was sad about how much oil was sitting in my bowl this time.
