This is my new favorite Chinese food place! Tigawok reminds me of Panda Express, but the food tastes more authentic, less "westernized". Also, their food is cooked by robots! It's cafeteria style, which I love because I can see the actual food choices. I chose a few mini bowls, each with a different dish. Prices were very reasonable, mostly in the $5 to $7 range. My favorites were the egg plant with beans and scrambled eggs with tomato. The food portions are well portioned and there is a to-go area with boxes and bags. Decor was very neat and modern. Did not look like a place that sells Chinese food, which is a nice surprise!

Jenn R.

It's a cafeteria-style setup with visual displays of well known dishes... no overthinking required, just point to what you want. The line moves quick, even during peak hours. And while seating is limited, people don't tend to linger long after finishing, so tables open up fairly regularly. Your other option is dining outside if the weather permits and in SoCal, the weather always permits. THE FOOD. - Tigawok Pork Bun. Soft, fluffy steamed buns filled with pork that's juicy and nicely seasoned. It has a good balance of sweetness and umami in every bite. - Orange Peel Chicken. Crispy, golden chicken tossed in bright, citrusy, orange-peel sauce that's lightly sweet with a gentle kick. Recommend trying this out. - Hong Kong Fried Rice. Scrambled egg, slices of Chinese sausage, and green onions. Simple, classic, and incredibly comforting. THE DRINK. - Honey-Scented Black Tea (Sweetened). Smooth black tea with floral aroma notes and subtle honey sweetness. It's a refreshing drink! THE PARKING. Cars are frequently coming and going, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding a spot. THE VERDICT. Good food if you're looking for a quick bite to eat (think lunch scene).

I've been a few times and am so amazed at the quality and quantity of food. You're telling me a robot cooked this?? Tiga wok is a new concept restaurant similar to panda express but they have robot chefs in the back whipping up the most delicious chinese food. I love the variety of dishes Tigawok serves. The prices of each dish ranges from $4-$10 and the servings are smaller than your average chinese dish. I love this place because it fulfills my chinese food craving without having to eat family style. Honey walnut shrimp 10/10 - crispy outer coating and perfectly seasoned. Garlic green beans and eggplant 10/10 - soft eggplant and delicious green beans Pork belly over rice 10/10 - so good! Broccoli 10/10- it comes with this garlic shallot sauce that pairs well with the broccoli Chow mein 10/10 - noodles had great texture and wok flavor I wish they opened one in the 626. I always stop by here when I'm in irvine. Great spot for lunch with friends.

Love the food here and the packaging! The rice is always perfect and the iced tea is amazing!

Delicious and affordable food! I've been back here countless times along with their other locations. Service is always fast. Ambiance is decent. They got places for you to sit down and eat but it seems like a lot of customers will order it and leave. They have a wide selection ranging from rice, noodles, to tofu, chicken, beef, etc. I've ordered over half of their options at this point and haven't found a single disappointing option. There's something for everyone here. The one thing I'd like to point out is how they package their food. At first glance, it looks like there isn't much for the amount you're spending. But they PACK that stuff in there! I always have enough for a second meal lol.

Very cool place, i like that it was big and very clean, the guy from the staff was really nice he guide us in everything we needed, also they have everything well organized so people can arrange their own to go orders or dine in, i love all that. The food was not really great honestly, i feel like the soupy dishes were not so great, maybe they need more cooking time I guess, its my perception. But, the other stuff we order like the fry rice, orange chicken, all were very good, also the dumplings were delicious

Tigawok totally gave me upscale Panda Express vibes, but like better. The BEST part though? The free pickled radishes. Why were they so good omg. I was lowkey obsessed and could've just kept snacking on those. My fave dishes were definitely the Hong Kong fried rice, orange peel chicken, and basil chicken. Those were the stars for me. The other dishes we tried were decent, just not as memorable. Prices felt pretty reasonable for how much food you get, so honestly a good bang for your buck kinda spot. I appreciated the little to-go lids since the portions are generous enough that leftovers are very possible.

Kianaz E.

Absolutely amazing experience with Tigawok! I ordered through DoorDash and honestly can't say enough good things about this place. From the packaging, to the color of the utensils, to the presentation and flavor of the food -- everything felt so well thought out. Even the bag the food came in gave such a fun and quality vibe. I also loved how every container was individually labeled with my name and exactly what each item was. It made everything feel so organized, personalized, and professional. I ordered the Orange Peel Chicken, Hong Kong Sausage Fried Rice, Tiga Mapo Tofu, and Chow Mein, and every single item was delicious. The portions are perfect -- not too little and not overly huge either. I'd say it's ideal for one person, or perfect to order multiple smaller dishes to share between 2-3 people. My only minor issue was that the food arrived a little cold by the time it got delivered, but honestly everything still tasted amazing and fresh. Besides that, I'll definitely be ordering again!

Allan Y.

Had to check out the hype. I've never been able to make it to their original Sawtelle location. The new spot runs like a well-oiled machine. My order came out right on time, and the whole operation feels efficient. I'm still firmly in the Panda Express camp for the best orange chicken. This version isn't bad, but it doesn't come close for me. I also got the beef and minced pork rice bowl was genuinely really good. The braised sauce mixed into the rice was a homerun. Overall, Tigawok tastes more authentically Asian than most quick Chinese spots. It has that comforting "my Chinese mom packed my lunch" vibe. They also offer an insulated to-go bag for just a 50-cent upcharge totally worth it.

Annie Y.

There's plenty of parking available. Inside, there are a few tables if you want to dine in, but seating is limited. The ordering process is simple, you choose a base and then add any sides you want. After paying, there's a small station at the end where you can grab utensils and sauces. I ordered the Wagyu Beef & Minced Pork Rice Bowl as my base, along with a side of Red Braised Pork Belly with Potato. The portion size was decently sized and reasonably priced. The pork bowl was really good, but the pork belly was just okay as the meat was a bit dry. Overall, I'd come back to try their other dishes. Recommendation(s): - Wagyu Beef & Minced Pork Rice Bowl Service: 5/5 Tip(s): - Plenty of parking spaces - Limited indoor seating - Accept Apple Pay

Fortuna N.

Great place for quick, tasty Chinese food made by robots. I love how they change up the menu so you can always come back to try different things. I've been to a few Tigawok's and I would say getting a majority of their small plates with $2 rice is a better deal than the 3 appetizer with base at $13. I felt like they gave me more mains when I did that and I had more leftovers for the cost being just a little more...unless the worker just gave me smaller portions bc I'm a girl with the 3 appetizer lol. Regardless, taste is delicious! My favorites when they have it are: Cola Chicken, Spicy Chicken Basil (comes with string beans), and their pork belly (comes with potatoes). Great casual dining of Chinese food ala Carte when you're on the go and want to try many small options. Although I do think Chinese restaurants if you just want one main they give you more meats for cheaper price.

First Day Visit To Tigawok!! Located In The Walnut Center Plaza, Irvine!! Casual Chinese Restaurant Known For Customised Bowls, Entree Bowls & Robotic Kitchen!! Self Service Beverages & Fountain Drinks!! Relaxed Ambiance & Friendly Staff!! Ordered Fried Rice, Wagyu Curry, Broccoli & Mapo Tofu Togo!! Line & Service Was Quick, Helpful & Efficient!! Lots Of Chinese Food Options To Try Each Visit!! Will Return Again!! ThankU

2 entree bowl: noodles, eggplant/green beans, and basil chicken. Outstanding!!

Shell S.

Tigawok has better food than all the Chinese restaurants I've tried around my house in Laguna Niguel and yes I'm comparing them with standalone restaurants not fast food. I got the 2 entree bowl for $10.99. The chow mein is full of veggies which I absolutely love and the noodles have a good bite to them. The basil chicken is very flavorful and has the perfect amount of heat. The eggplant-green beans is outstanding, perfect balance of crunchy beans and soft perfectly cooked eggplants. I can eat this every day. I wish the food was a little less salty and oily but still one of my favorite Chinese foods in OC. I love the food packaging and the ambiance is clean and casual. Highly recommended!

What happened to the generous portions? :( 2 girls served me with the most saddest portions. I looked at her dead in the eyes & almost went "are you serious?" Great idea! Good value! Love the system. Tried Tigawok for lunch. Went in a little before 12pm so the line was not that bad. The staff are still in training as the soft opening happened recently. Theyre all really kind and full of info to give for first timers. I got the rice as my base and orange chicken and the wagyu curry as my proteins. All came out to $13 subtotal which is a bargain in Irvine. They have convenient togo lids and bags readily available for those in a rush to get back to the office. They even have delicious traditional spicy chili sauce and pickled radishes on the side for you to take. Food was very good for the cost hopefully the quality wont go down too fast. I couldnt finish everything. Next time I may do the steamed veggies as a substitute base rather than the rice. Overall impressed with how efficient everything was and how low the cost was for lunch in Irvine. read more

I saw @yellow productions reel on Instagram about Tigawok opening in Irvine and shared the reel with the family. We had read on Yelp that the line could be 50 deep at opening time of 11 AM so we made sure to give ourselves 2 hours before work. Parking in this shopping center with Wanderlust Creamery and Trader Joe's is a nightmare on a sunny Saturday around noon. A lady in a Tesla sped up to take the spot we had been waiting for. My husband told me to let it go. We waited for another parking space in the next row as a Trader Joe's customer unloaded her cart. We arrived at Tigawok at 12:20 PM and there were 10 people ahead of us to the start of the line. The line was out the door. When it came to my turn, the employee had to take a break and another lady employee took over. The only other person serving the single line was the boss. Unfortunately, there was no braised pork and Wagyu beef bowl which was what daughter wanted for her base. For my base, I went with the steamed rice and chow mein. For my mini bowls, I chose tiga cola chicken, pepper Kurobuta pork, potato shreds with bean sprouts, sweet tomato & scrambled eggs, garlic eggplant & green beans, and steamed soup dumplings. They had run out of the potato shreds with bean sprouts, but another pan came out from the kitchen fresh and hot and the server gave me a mini bowl of it while still getting my other mini bowls. Daughter chose a staple of steamed rice and mini bowls of pepper Kurobuta pork, mapo tofu, potato shreds with bean sprouts, sweet tomato & scrambled eggs, garlic eggplant & green beans, and Tigawok pork bun. Husband had steamed rice and chow mein, pepper Kurobuta pork, garlic eggplant & green beans, chilled garlic broccoli, and hand torn cabbage. Our cashier Kevin noted the 2 Kurobuta porks we were waiting on and checked us out with a smile at 12:40 PM. As we still had to go to work, I tried to quickly put lids on all the bowls, get utensils, and pack everything in a to go bag. I realized later that I had forgotten the cardboard to make the base of the bag more firm so I had a little spillage. I don't know if it would help with flow to have a separate station for packing to go orders and for customers dining there wishing to get utensils and sides of marinated white radish and sizzling wagyu spice sauce. I think that it is difficult for the people waiting in line if the customers being served don't know what they want to order. It's helpful that the menu is available on the window and in the photos. We had chosen what we wanted to order before arriving at Tigawok. The favorite protein was the tiga cola chicken which is sweet. There are spicy peppers in the Kurobuta pork. We're not sure that we like the pairing of potato shreds with the bean sprouts. An "uncle" at another Chinese restaurant teased my daughter for ordering tomatoes and scrambled eggs when she could make it herself at home. Father likes her fluffier scrambled eggs, but doesn't know if it would be feasible for the restaurant to add milk to their scrambled eggs. Daughter also garnishes her tomato and scrambled eggs with green onions. The garlic eggplant & green beans was an all around winner in the vegetables category. A lot of garlic slices are used in the dishes and the hand torn cabbage has quite a bit of ginger. The steamed dumplings had a lot of soup. Daughter liked the marinated white radish with her chicken. Other daughter whom we brought lunch to said that the mapo tofu needed some kind of meat. When we got home, we washed all the containers to reuse to bring meals to work. We look forward to returning again and trying new dishes. read more

If you are looking for a place to touch all taste buds and be super affordable especially in this day and age - this is the spot. Neat concept where you can choose different bases (white rice, chow mien or this special wagyu curry rice), followed by so many "main" dishes alongside so many vegetable options. The curry beef, orange chicken, chow mien, egg plant dishes were some of my faves. There is a dish for any type of eater. The beauty of it is that you get to build what you want and surprisingly the portions are enough to share especially when your eyes are hungrier than your stomach. You want to try everything :) The store itself is vibrant, welcoming and clean. Staff is friendly and very helpful especially explaining how the ordering process works. One last detail although nothing about the food that stood out to me is when I left, the "to go" containers. The owners put thought into how the food is served in this eco friendly bowls and when you want to take it home, the lids snap into place and is of very high quality. read more

Service was quite fast, they were out of chow mein so it was only a 6 minute wait and was able to get a fresh batch. Portion size is slightly heavier on the main (chow mein or white rice) than a 2 entree plate at Panda Express and then a bit smaller on the entrees compared to Panda. It was cool to know robots made our meals. The food were good . I would definitely recommend the green bean egg plate, rice with pork, tomato & egg, orange chicken, kungpao, wonton, dumplings, steamed pork buns , mapo tofu * tasted mild * , their beef hunan spicy beef , cabbage, & the brussel sprout. Good service. Was in and out quickly. Portion size fine. Good price. Great branding. Food was well cooked. Problem is that it was more or less flavorless. Idk if I went on an off night but they need to double the seasoning on pretty much everything unless this place is known for being very subtle flavor wise. I was absolutely starving and usually that means everything you eat is gonna taste amazing, but no. Got the cola chicken, pork belly wagyu bowl, and chow mein which was passable. Came during a weeknight for dinner with friends and it was super yummy! The line was a bit long but it moved pretty fast. I really liked the concept of being able to pick different mini bowls to pair with your base. If you go with a group, it's fun because you can family style it and try a variety of options. We noticed that she…read moregave a larger table to customers she seemed familiar with, while assigning us a much smaller table even though we had the same number of people. What made it even more frustrating was that the restaurant was practically empty at the time, so there was clearly no issue with the restaurant being too busy or running out of available tables. The way we were treated felt unfair and very disrespectful. If you're willing to spend money just to be judged and treated differently based on who you are, this is definitely the place for you. Highly recommended!!!! To clarify the situation: When we entered the restaurant, it was clearly not a busy hour. There were plenty of empty tables available. If your policy is that certain four-person tables are reserved exclusively for customers who make reservations in advance, then that policy should be clearly stated to customers rather than being applied selectively. When we arrived, there was a customer dining alone who was seated at a table for three. Later, another customer who appeared to be familiar with the short female server also came in alone and was given a larger three-person table. So just to clarify: were all of these tables reserved in advance as well? Or does the "reservation" rule only apply when it comes to certain customers? No one wants to sit at a tiny table in the middle of the aisle when there isn't even enough space to comfortably fit four dishes. We are not complaining simply because we were given a smaller table. The issue is the obvious inconsistency in how the seating was handled. If there is a legitimate seating policy, it should be applied consistently to everyone--not selectively depending on who the customer is.

Friends told me about this place was having a soft opening this week. We came on Friday morning right at opening to beat the rush. To our surprise, there was a line already before they opened! We had the opportunity to meet two of the owners who were kind enough to explain how the concept works and the ordering process. Let's just say we ended up over ordering for 4 people! Yes, we are the type that likes to try a little bit of everything and shared the plates. Concept: It's like a fresh version of Panda Express. Each item is cooked in big batches ready for quick service. You go down the line and select each item one by one. They are served in individual portions as opposed to Panda's plated items. To our surprise, the portions are pretty good size and found it to be great value for the price point. It's good for 2-4 people to order multiple dishes for sharing but for an individual, I'd recommend 2 entrees + 1 rice or stir fry noodle. We really like the fact there are a lot more variety of items to choose from and are catered to more authentic Chinese palates. Service: Since it was the 5th day of their soft opening, they are still working on fine tuning their work flow. It could have been much quicker if they had maybe 3 people sectioned off down the line as you progress along to expedite the speed. I'm sure they will be adding more staff to expedite the process. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the owner who does your check out. Food: Like I said we definitely over ordered. We got the following items: 1. Zesty shredded chicken - it's almost like Hainan chicken in texture but with zesty flavor already built in. Definitely don't need any dipping sauce for it. 2. Pepper kurobuta pork - flavor was on point and had just the right amount of pepper flavor without being overly spicy. 3. Wagyu mapo tofu - tofu was on the firmer side which I personally prefer soft tofu for my mapo tofu. Sauce was slightly bland so it can definitely be kicked up a bit to pair better with rice. 4. Sweet tomato & scrambled eggs - sauce was too sweet for my personal liking. Owner did say that they are working on sauce to make it less sweet. 5. Kung pao chicken - classic dish and the flavor was on point. The chicken pieces were plump and tender, much better quality than Panda. 6. Hunan spicy beef - perhaps my favorite dish out of the bunch. It had just the right amount of that mala spice without being overpowering. 7. Hand-torn cabbage - cooked with just the right amount of crisp without being overly soggy. 8. Garlic eggs plant & green beans - a bit light on flavor but the ingredients were very fresh and I like how the eggplant held its texture without being too mushy. 9. Tiga cola chicken - it's like kung pao chicken but without all the extras. The sauce reminds me of a lighter version of Panda's teriyaki sauce mixed in. 10. Potato shreds with bean sprouts - tasted just like my mom's home cooking. The potato slices still had a crunch to it where other places tend to be very limp and soggy. 11. Dry-pot Brussels sprouts - while likely the least "Chinese" dish we tried, it was surprisingly good. 12. Chow mein - it had a great texture without being overly oily. 13. White rice - I typically judge quality of a "Chinese" restaurant on the quality of rice they serve and this was exceptional! They use good quality jasmine rice and it wasn't soggy. Overall I can see this would be an up and coming concept that can rival Panda Express for those wanting more authentic Chinese flavors and options. It's great for families to do take out and for college students that can stretch out their meals. Big bonus: their serving boxes and lids are super high quality and reusable! I can see a lot of people keeping these to use for packing leftovers at home or use for on the go meal prep! Save them and help the environment! Look forward to trying the other dishes like their pork buns, soup dumplings and rice bowls! read more

I ordered Tigawok through Postmates and tried the Orange Peel Chicken, Thai Chicken, and Sausage Fried Rice. First off, the packaging was excellent everything arrived sealed well, organized neatly, and still hot upon delivery, which immediately made the experience feel more premium and cared for. The standout dishes were definitely the Orange Peel Chicken and the Sausage Fried Rice. The Orange Peel Chicken had a great balance of sweetness, citrus, and crispiness without being overly heavy or drenched in sauce. The Sausage Fried Rice was packed with flavor, well-seasoned, and had a satisfying smoky taste that made it hard to stop eating. Overall, Tigawok delivered a very polished takeout experience with quality flavors and presentation that stood out from the typical delivery spot. I'd definitely order from them again. I recently tried this new Chinese spot and had mixed feelings about my visit. I ordered the braised pork and wagyu rice, which turned out to be much fattier than I expected--about half the bowl seemed to be fatty pieces I had to pick out. Flavor-wise, I'd give it a 3 out of 5. I also tried the soup dumplings, but they were unfortunately dry inside with no broth, which was disappointing. The orange chicken wasn't terrible, but definitely not the best I've had. The pork buns were soft and flavorful, the kind you end up thinking about later. The noodles were cooked perfectly with a good amount of sauce, not too salty, just really comforting. went here with my friends, and it was opening night! very quick and enthusiastic service, cute ambiance to eat, and food tastes great! prices are very fair, and you can get as much as you feel hungry for. recommend the braised pork and wagyu rice bowl, which were very filling and super tasty. they also have lids at the end, so if you're not hungry for all of it it's super easy to take home. we also got merch as part of their opening night, which was super adorable and a good introduction into the restaurant. would definitely come back here regularly :) read more

The service is quick and efficient, with staff often helpful in guiding choices despite the fast-casual setup. Its ambiance is clean, bright, and slightly tech-inspired, creating a casual yet contemporary dining vibe. While it can get busy during peak hours, the overall experience remains enjoyable, especially for a quick, affordable, and flavorful meal. read more

I recently had lunch at Tigawok in Irvine, and it was absolutely amazing! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients, and every dish tasted authentic and perfectly seasoned. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made me feel very welcome. The restaurant is clean, cozy, and has a modern yet comfortable atmosphere. If you want authentic american Chinese food without paying an arm and a leg this is the spot. Employees are super friendly and gave us info regarding allergies. The price is definitely right. Way cheaper than any restaurant right now and good portions for the price. The food tastes great and there are a lot of good options. Restaurant is very clean and the vibe is pretty cool. Reminds me of a little cafe. I will definitely be returning here over all fast food. read more

I had a really good experience at Tigawok. The food was solid, fresh, and came out pretty quick, but what stood out the most was the service. Carlos at the register was super nice and chill. he made the whole ordering process easy and welcoming. It's always a better vibe when someone greets you with a good attitude, and he definitely set the tone. I'll for sure be coming back again. Great food and even better customer service. read more

The food at Tigawok was disappointing. I ordered half rice and half noodles, but it came with mostly rice and very little noodles. The kung po chicken was mostly vegetables with very little chicken. I also tried the orange chicken, and it was just as tough. Overall, the food tasted like it might have been from the night before and mixed with today's batch. Definitely not fresh or worth the price. read more

I picked up takeout for a quick lunch. The food was okay, but a few items were a bit soggy in their packaging. I appreciated that the staff labeled everything clearly, making it easy to identify each dish. The taste was good, though not memorable. The service at the counter was friendly, although there was a slight wait. It works for a casual meal, but I wouldn't say it's worth remembering. read more

I'd checked with ChatGPT beforehand so I knew it was gonna have some funk. And yeah, the first smell is intense. Not like durian but maybe sort of like a stinky cheese. The pickled bamboo shoots are pretty intense. But I like stinky cheese pickles etc so I know how to give something a try. That broth man. It's so umami perfection. I loved the cabbage, it really carried the broth. I could eat a whole bowl of just cabbage and broth haha. If you order the luosifen, don't expect a conventional noodle soup. Expect something authentic in a way it reminds someone other than you of the taste of home. Really a good stop, and I appreciated how much the chef cared about making sure I understood what I was ordering. I'll absolutely come back.

The first time we visited, we ordered the egg rolls, chicken pot stickers, a glass noodle dish with shrimp, and my husband had the chicken cashew dish. Everything was delicious, and we ordered our food extra spicy, which was perfect! The second time, we wanted to try something different. My husband ordered the curry chicken, and I had the spicy basil fried rice with steak. You can choose whichever protein you'd like, and the steak was SO good. Of course, we had to get the chicken pot stickers and egg rolls again too! What really makes this place stand out, though, is the service. Both times we visited, the service was absolutely amazing. There was a gentleman who helped us both times, and I really wish I remembered his name because he truly deserves recognition. When we came back for our second visit, he actually remembered us and brought out the spicy hot sauce without us even having to ask! It was such a small detail, but it showed how attentive and thoughtful he is. There was also a woman who assisted us during our visit, and unfortunately I didn't catch her name either, but she was amazing as well! Both of them were so kind, welcoming, attentive, and made us feel very well taken care of. The gentleman also offered us samples of their Thai tea, one with milk and one without, and I have to say it is genuinely some of the BEST Thai tea I've ever had. Both versions were delicious! He was also extremely helpful when we wanted to try something new and gave us great recommendations. It's rare to find a restaurant where not only the food is amazing, but the service makes you want to come back too. I really appreciate servers who go above and beyond and make you feel remembered and welcomed. Between the incredible food, beautiful presentation, amazing flavors, and outstanding service, Siam Station has definitely become one of our favorite Thai restaurants. We've only been twice, and they've already made such a great impression on us. We will absolutely be coming back! Highly recommend!

I feel like this Irvine based Chinese restaurant is so much like the LA "Chinatown" restaurants that are legitimate! In a span of two weeks, I have been here 3 times! I had two dinners and one lunch. Each dinner ordered their most popular "Sheng Jian Bao" a.k.a. Shanghai Grilled Pork Buns. They are beautifully prepared with sesame seeds sprinkled at the top and grilled into the base. The inside pork filling has the delicious juices, so make sure you eat this carefully and don't lose all the meat juices. Another delicious old school Chinese dish I had was the Crispy Fish Fillet with Seaweed. The fried dough has seaweed in it, so the flavor is so good. Dip this with some black vinegar... *chef's kiss* So gooood, too! The third memory lane Chinese dishes I had so far that was delightful was the Shanghai Rice Cakes. This tasted exactly how a lot of Montrey Park, Arcadia, and San Gabriel restaurants make them. The only thing about rice cakes is that reheating them is not as good, so try to eat this and not have a doggy bag. So today for lunch I ordered the Shanghai Kao Fu... and O... M... G... sooooo goooood! This is totally my favorite cold appetizer. It has the soybean product, woodear mushrooms, bamboo shoots, peanuts, and this veggie that I have no idea what it is called. So on point to authentic Shanghai Chinese food! The overall guest service is very Chinese-Irvine. They are stoic, but get the job done. You tell them how delicious the food is and they nod in acceptance (reminds me of my dad lol). Parking is super easy. It is in an Irvine Company shopping Plaza. Plenty of spaces. Totally safe area. The only thing that ducks is that in the afternoon, the sun beats down on the restaurant. It gets warm in there and the window seats are hot during the summer. In the end, I am 100% okay with their service and simple ambiance. The food is where it makes the experience worth it. I cannot wait to go back and try more dishes that remind me of my childhood.
