    Tiger Fried Noodle

Food was done within minutes and everything was so hot. I ordered the tiger fried noodles and my friends got the veggie fried rice, orange chicken, and pork soup. Everyone said their food was amazing. The service was quick and everyone was really polite. I loved that they had their own custom and reusable chop sticks! I love using chop sticks but hate the waste of single use ones. Theirs were also more substantial, which was wonderful. The portion sizes were verryyyy generous so it made for excellent leftovers today. Great food, great price, great service. Would totally go back and would recommend to anyone!!

Deep Fried Fish With Sweet And Sour Sauce Very good but I will have to ask less sauce next time

Haven't been back for awhile and food was still good as I remembered. Service was nice too.

Visited Tiger Noodle House while in Rice Village, Houston. The atmosphere was casual and lively, and the service was friendly and efficient. We ordered five dishes, and honestly, all of them were good. Standouts for me were the Mapo Tofu and the garlic eggplant -- two of my personal favorites, both full of flavor and done right. The Dan Dan noodles were perfectly cooked, and the beef and chicken dishes were impressively tender. Overall, a great spot for locals and absolutely worth a return visit. Saluti

I ordered the Taiwanese Sausage Fried Rice with light oil last night. I love all 4 fried rice options here btw. Tiger Noodle House is the best place for Chinese fried rice in TX, then Cooking Girl and Hu's Cooking right after imo. My entree was not only filling in amount, but noticeably authentic, very delicious, very moist, not too greasy, seasoned very well and very generous with ingredients. The sausage pieces had a subtly sweet n smoky aroma to them making the rice exotic in a way. Great, friendly service again.

Great atmosphere and fast service! Fish, green beans, and chicken were good with lots of flavor. Eggplants were somewhat bland despite the marinated pork. Prefer the other.

Was surprised by how well priced this place was considering its right in Rice Village - portion sizes were great, service was friendly and fast, and quality of the food was not bad! We shared the pork & shrimp dumplings, green beans, beef stir fried noodles, and Kung Pao chicken. Can't really complain about any of the dishes. Will come back again for sure!

Wanted to try this spot in Rice Village and finally found the means to. I ordered their version of Szechuan Chicken and Dan Dan Noodles. Their portions were good, I do think they need more spice. The Szechuan flavor wasn't apparent and we had no lingering effect. Flavor was there but if the spice isn't then it's a little offsetting. Overall, 6/10.

I had a craving for some sichuan food nearby without driving to Bellaire and wanted to try Tiger noodle house. There was only 2 of us but we wanted to try everything. First up was the lover's beef app. This dish is served cold and is exactly the cold app we wanted. It is soooo nostalgic and with deep, rich flavors. It's not spicy at all but with delicious yummy chili oil and flavors. For main dishes we got, garlic eggplant, dry fried squid, sliced pork with chili, and mapo tofu. The mapo tofu and eggplant dishes stuck out. The flavors were exactly what we were looking for from these dishes. Eggplant with a thick, garlic, sweet sauce and super delicious. Mapo tofu with a great sichuan peppercorn taste and sooo good. The dry fried squid was not bad but a little underseasoned and the squid was a little chewy, probably would go for a fish instead. The flavor of the sliced pork was absolutely there but the pork itself was a little overcooked and tough to eat. Overall, the flavors were exactly what we were looking for and it definitely delivered. I would try some other dishes next time as well!

Beef fried rice and Spicy Lamb With Cumin

This place was really really decent!! Prices are INSANELYYYY cheap for the amount of food you get! For me, I thought the portions were huge. This is definitely the type of restaurant you go to with a large group or with a family. My boyfriend and I had their rice and it tasted great! Flavorful and delicious! The chili wontons were also amazing! Sauce was a little overbearing, but still good! We also ordered the mango milk tea with boba, and the milk tea tasted a little watered down with a kinda strong aftertaste. I wasn't a big fan of it, but I didn't have much expectations for it since this isn't a boba store. Service was also great! Servers checked up on us occasionally to make sure we were okay and even gave us guava candy at the end which was so nice of them!

Tiger Noodle House has become one of those places I keep returning to for one simple reason: the food is just that good. The spicy wontons are always a hit -- soft, flavorful, and swimming in that perfect chili oil that wakes up your whole palate. Their spicy slices of poached beef are tender, rich, and full of that deep, authentic Sichuan flavor that's hard to find anywhere else in the Galleria. A lot of other customers say the same thing: the portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the menu feels genuinely authentic rather than Americanized. People even mention that it's surprisingly gluten-free friendly, and the variety of soups, noodles, dumplings, and dry pots makes it easy to find something new every visit. For what you get, it's worth the money. The only thing holding this place back is the service. The staff is polite but not attentive. They'll bring your food quickly, but they rarely check in afterward, ask how things are, or offer refills. It's very much a "drop it and go" style, and if you're someone who likes a more interactive dining experience, you might feel a little overlooked. Still, for me -- and clearly for a lot of other people -- the food outweighs the lack of engagement. In the end, Tiger Noodle House is a spot I come back to for the flavors, not the service. It's consistently good, always satisfying, and worth the stop if you're craving bold, spicy dishes in the Galleria area.

    Spicy Lamb and Cumin
    Andrew K.

Needed a spot to grab dinner fairly late and this did the trick. We were torn for apps between soup dumplings and wantons, so we got both. Neither was super special. The soup dumplings had a fair amount of soup, were nicely constructed, and didn't fall apart, which I appreciate. The spicy wantons I would have liked to have had a bit more flavor, so they were a bit of a miss. We got Kung-Pow chicken and cumin lamb. First of all, the portions are huge. The chicken was exactly what you'd expect but a skosh better. I usually regret ordering cumin lamb as the texture and flavoring is just meh, but I actually really enjoyed this version of it. The onions and other additions were a really nice balance for the meat. The prices for the dishes we got were super reasonable but some of the other dishes can certainly get up there. Knowing how much food we got with the dishes we did, I would absolutely recommend sticking to something on the cheaper side and making an extra meal of it.

The food at Tiger Noodle House was honestly a bit of a disappointment. The service was fast and everyone was very friendly. The restaurant itself is very cozy and a nice place to eat on a cold day. That being said, the food did not live up to the test. Maybe I just received a few unlucky pieces of beef in my noodle soup or they were having an off day. My beef noodle soup came out looking kind of thrown together and the beef was very tough. I am usually a pretty tolerant eater and will power through dry or tough pieces of meat, but I could not chew through the beef at all. Literally my teeth could not make a mark in the chunk of beef shank in the soup. The soup itself was a bit watery and lacked the typical garnish of pickled mustard greens. The wontons were fine--nothing to write home about but certainly no complaints. I would like to give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt and say that they had an off night. Or maybe they had to whip up a bowl of beef noodle soup very quickly to meet demand when beef noodle soup is a braised dish that takes hours to cook properly to ensure tenderness of the beef. Not sure if I will return, but it is a cozy place with friendly service. If I do give this place another chance, I will be avoiding the beef noodle soup.

I'm a huge fan (it's probably my favorite) of Szechuan cuisine and was super excited to try this place after seeing their menu. They did not come to disappoint. Servings are very generous - had leftovers for days and they tasted even better than when we first got them - and the food is fantastic. Pricing was really good too, so it's a real bang for your buck. Loved it! If I find myself in Houston again, I might just be back!

The mapo tofu is one of the best we've had outside of Bellaire with spicy, savory, numbing, and warmth that you expect from a good mapo tofu. Crispy popcorn chicken is a classic that's spicy, lightly fried, and crisp. It has an authenticity that other places around can't replicate and makes you keep craving more. The portions are also appropriate for their price. Service is incredibly quick, and you can order as you go and receive your dish within 10-15 minutes, regardless of how busy they are. As for the ambiance, it's loud, it's hectic, and it's simple... maybe a stretch, but makes me feel like I'm eating at a mom and pop shop in the heart of China. I think we may have went on an off day because I have tried takeout form this place that was delicious, but on this day the food wasn't my favorite. We did overall enjoyed our experience and time and I would recommend giving this place a try! We ordered a total of 5 dishes and everything seemed very authentic to Sichuan cooking. With Sichuan cuisine though, a lot of the food will be on the oily side, so keep that in mind. - Eggplant In Spicy Sauce (5/5): Definitely order this dish! You can tell the eggplant was prepared well because it retained its beautiful purple color and luscious shape. The flavor was sweet and savory seeped well into the eggplant. My only comment would be that there wasn't a strong garlic flavor, but it was still so tasty I think it deserved that 5/5! - Mapo Tofu (2.5/5): I came here specifically for the mapo tofu but was left a bit disappointed. The flavor was pretty good and had that strong Sichuan pepper spice that lingers after a while. My issue with the tofu was the consistency of the sauce. I found it to be very thick and clumpy in an unpleasant way, almost like eating little gelatin pieces. I would probably come back to try it again just in case this was a bad batch, but it's hard to compete with wanna boa's mapo tofu. - Spicy and Crispy Chicken (4/5): Pretty juicy and crispy chicken with a slight kick. I love anything fried chicken so I did enjoy this dish but it was pretty standard and there wasn't much to write about. - Red Oil Dumplings (3/5): Pretty standard oil dumplings. They weren't really spicy which would be good for people who can't handle spice. I think I would've liked a bit more meat filling but overall not bad. - Dan Dan Noodles (3/5): I loved the texture of the noodles but I found the sauce to be kinda slippery which made it hard adhere to the noodles. I also thought the flavor could've been a bit stronger. Service/Ambiance: the interior of this place was super cute, especially the upstairs area. I loved the dim lighting and tiny table lamps which gave this place a cozy romantic feeling. The outside was also interesting with an all black exterior and no sign. That might make it hard to notice or find the restaurant, but that did give it a more hidden feeling which was nice. Parking was also abundant and service was great!
