Cold sesame noodles and chicken karaage bowl

Service was great but overall food was average. Wished there were better spices used. I got the chicken karaage bowl which had a hearty mix of vegetables and rice

Came here the day before Valentine's Day. The ambiance in the restaurant is very cute. Our service was nice and attentive. They also have a delicious local IPA that they serve. Our reservation was for 8:30 but we got there a little late. You need to order before 9 pm. We ordered the spicy pork ramen, pumpkin ramen and karaage chicken. Everything was great. I found the pork ramen to be a little oily but it wasn't excessive. Will definitely be back!

We stopped in here for dinner and tried the dumplings and ramen bowls. Everything was really great and I would highly recommend stopping in. That being said, there were a few things that prevented this from being a 5 star. The first, was there was no ambiance for dinner (too much lighting and no candles) so it felt more like a lunch spot. The second, I asked if the gluten free noodles were rice noodles (because those are my favorite!) and the waitress said yes, but when I started eating my ramen I found out they were not rice noodles and I was up-charged $4 for the gluten free noodles. I wouldn't have ordered them if I knew that! Lastly, the spice ratio between bowls ranged too much. They seemed to make 1 pot of ramen and pour it into separate bowls, so 1 person would catch the spice from the bottom of the pot and it was much spicier than all the others. It felt like a game of roulette! Luckily, it was all very tasty, but definitely something to watch out for.

We order their fried chicken with Dijon radish. I recommend getting the soy favor and not the other one. The Dijon radish taste like nothing. There was literary no flavor on the radish. And for the Raman is took like 30 minutes. We were waiting for a long time for the Raman to arrive. The soup was salty and the soup based is very oily. In addition, some of the noodles were stuck together. Unsure why was that but it taste like not cooked.

Sesame noodle w/ karage chicken, veggies, ajitama egg and kimchi. Feel free to steal this combo idea.

Everything here is lovely. It is admittedly pricey but the quality of ingredients is why. Luckily they have a lunch combo of a half portion of ramen (still pretty big) and a side of bao. However, once you try the food, price concern kinda goes out the window. The non-Asian owners have done their research (even naming it for the year of the Tiger, when it opened) and I often see other Asians here enjoying the food (always a good sign). The staff is wonderful and also up to speed on the food that they're serving. I feel that the chef is always trying to throw new things on the menu to keep it interesting, which is awesome. I do a build my own bowl from the cold sesame noodles because its refreshing and filling. Their kimchi isn't as pungent as I'm used too but still delicious (my partner who hates the stuff says it's not as bad as the stuff I bring home from the market). Ajitama egg is hard boiled and the onsen egg is, I believe, poached? The hard boiled egg has a soft center that mixes well with the sauce and the poached egg is soft with a beautifully runny yolk, again, mixes well with anything. The decor is wonderful with lots of Tiger themes around it. The flowers on each table are handmade locally, which is great for supporting local artists. I hope this place continues on its path of growth and more people stop by!

OMG. So beautiful inside, with the flowers, and the tiger prints, even the floors, rugs and tables are gorgeous. Lovely server, I dropped my spoon and she had me another one within 15 seconds. The food is sublime. I cannot even believe many people on the Cape can appreciate it A lunch special saved me, so I could try more, and tip big. Coming back ASAP. Love this place!

Half size spicy chicken ramen and Matsurika beer.

The less expensive sister restaurant of the superb Water Street Kitchen, we passed over this restaurant for years without realizing what a gem this place is. Delicious ramen, baos, fried chicken and tofu, balanced cocktails, and a nice wine and beer list keep us coming back. Like Water Street there are layers of flavor and texture with each dish. Superb experience. Reservations are a must for dinner in the summer! Pictured is a can of Matsurika beer- a pilsner from Chicago brewed with Jasmine tea. Really nice and refreshing. The ramen is the half size spicy chicken and shiitake mushroom in miso broth. There is a large square of wakame butter melting on top. For lunch the 1/2 size bowl is served with a bao as appetizer for a reasonable fixed price.

Spicy chicken ramen with herb butter

Found this spot after a windy and rainy day on the beach. The ambiance is nice with good seating and music. The food was just okay. The ramen had an interesting texture, but the herb butter made the soup way too oily. The chicken was nice and crunchy. My friends ordered the chicken miso ramen and weren't satisfied with it. If you're a ramen fan, would skip out on this spot! Service was great. Seated quickly and got our food quick too.

Yum. The food tasted good. My only annoyance was that the plant decor was too overgrown and was dangling over my seat and food

This…read morefamily-run restaurant has only been open about a year, but it already feels like an established part of the local dining scene. A nice space. We began with spring rolls (VERY good - chicken and shrimp) and sake, and the sake program deserves special mention. We selected a very enjoyable $38 bottle and noticed several other bottles at lower price points, along with a wide selection of canned sake--many around $11. Some diners may balk at paying that much for a can, but they will happily pay more for a mediocre glass of wine at half the volume. The value here is actually quite good, especially for those looking to explore sake beyond the ordinary. Our entrées--the ramen and chicken katsu--were excellent. The ramen featured a rich, deeply satisfying broth, while the chicken katsu was perfectly crisp on the outside and tender within. If you want a "hotter " ramen - the have an add on for a buck. Service was warm and attentive, reflecting the pride that often comes with a family-owned business. The atmosphere is relaxed and unpretentious, allowing the quality of the food to take center stage. Bristol is fortunate to have Sakuratani. Strong Japanese dining options can be hard to find outside larger cities, and for a restaurant only a year old, they seem to be doing many things right. We look forward to returning and exploring more of their menu--and their sake offerings. Highly recommended.

Stopped in here with some friends to try this place out since we were in the area!…read more Food: My friend got dashi tofu as an appetizer (not pictured) and it was quite an experience! Very silky, some crunch, and the dashi sauce was well balanced. We then ordered tonkotsu ramen as our entree, and let me tell you I was not disappointed. After trying numerous ramens, specifically tonkotsu, this rated 2nd under my first favorite place. The creamy, rich broth was balanced, the noodles were bouncy (maybe homemade?), and the toppings were all good! Personally I am not a fan of thick pieces of pork chashu, so just keep that in mind when ordering that meat topping. Otherwise, excellent! Service: it was pretty slow so we got in immediately. Our waiter was very nice and took care of our table promptly. Atmosphere: it's definitely darker in this place, but the atmosphere was cozy and the booths were nice! Overall for me this was a 4.7/5, I would definitely recommend going here and experiencing decent tonkotsu ramen!

Greeted with a friendly smile when walking in and our server was so fun to talk to. We ordered Pork Ramen which was very good. I was worried it would be salty which ramen usually are but this was just right. We had a delicious Poke bowl. Fresh and hearty. To finish it off we had the Unagi. I really liked this little place. It is a local spot and we're glad we came by as we're visiting the area.

After reading these reviews I feel like I went to a different restaurant than most other Yelpers…read more.. The standalone restaurant itself is quaint, with the indoor ambiance mediocre at best. There is plenty of seating and we were greeted upon entry. We ordered General Tao Chicken and Hibachi Chicken both w/white rice. While the General Tao was pretty good, the Hibachi Chicken was not. It looked tasty, but came in some sort of sauce that had a bizarre smell and taste that was hard to explain, and 2 random shrimp (that I didn't order and don't believe was included but I did appreciate!). Still, definitely not like any sort of Hibachi I've ever had, and not in a good way. After sending the meal back, I ordered a Calamari which was tasty, and came with a side sweet chili dipping sauce. PROS: - Location is easy to find - Good sized menu - Server was kind - Food taste (of the one item I had) CONS: - Ambiance could use some love - Food taste (of the one item I had) I always have a hard time returning to places in which I had a less-than-decent experience. So while I encourage everyone to try most places for themselves, I can say that for me this one was a one-and-done.
