I've been once before this last visit (hence the 2 star). It's the closest boba shop near Pike Place Market, so I skipped Salt & Straw and went here. Walked in and there was no one at the front. But there is a kiosk to order. The place is so hot, a few mins in and I'm sweating and there's barely any fresh air to breathe. After ordering $30 worth of boba. Someone finally comes up and starts making our drink. I get my drink and it looks really wrong, I had added foam to my drink (which costed extra) and it's just plain and clear. I walk out debating if I should say something. Sip my drink and it's bland and the boba itself has no flavor. I walk back and nicely ask about the missing foam. He takes it back and makes me a new one. It's not great the second time around either. Someone else's drink had more fillings than the actual drink. A couple of us take a loss and toss our drinks. Most likely will not be going again.
We both got Thai Tea, half sweet, and oh did it hit! Word on the street is there is a view you can't miss while you're around. Not to mention the claw machine games being a really cool addition while you're waiting for Boba. Had a great time, will be back.
It's across the street from Target near the entrance of Pike Place. I ordered the top selling Brown Sugar with Cream mousse and well... I placed my order on a kiosk and very quickly got my order. Unfortunately, it's not brown sugar boba, it's unflavored cooked boba and mini boba. It's barely even milk tea, I don't taste the tea or even the brown sugar. For 7$ I can't see myself coming back to this location.
One of my favorite places to get Boba in Seattle. The cake that I ordered was amazing! Service here was really good, the place isn't too sweet which I actually enjoyed it and they're still a decent balance between the tea and milky taste. I highly recommend and would come back.
Got here at noon and was the third in line. Ordered from the kiosk and waited for about three minutes before I got my drink. Friendly staff! Black Sugar Mochi Boba w/o Cheese Cream 4/5: The boba is a bit too hard to chew. A little too sweet. Love the mochi though! Passion Fruit Oolong Tea w/Jelly 4/5: Adjusted the sweetness to 75% but still a little too sweet for my liking. Other than that, love the combo!
I find that Tiger Sugar locations normally serve above average boba, usually around a 4 out of 5. Since they mainly focus on milk based black sugar drinks, their milk teas suffer a little bit, making my preference to peruse other boba shops unless Tiger Sugar is convenient to visit. This was the case the last time I was near Westlake for lunch - Tiger Sugar is one of only two boba shops in that area, so I made it priority to visit after eating. T5 Black Sugar Boba Black Tea Latte with Cream Mousse, 50% Sweet, Less Ice, XL, Lactaid ($7.70) - This milk tea has a surprisingly strong black tea flavor. It's kind of a generic tea fannings Lipton-esque kind of flavor, but it's pleasingly strong in a drink that Tiger Sugar usually inundates with milk and sugar. They don't add too much milk in the drink, just a small splash on top, making the drink much darker in color than what I've received in the past. I guess this location has a different recipe compared to other Tiger Sugars? I did see the bobarista hand add the black sugar syrup, which could make the drinks rather inconsistent between visits. The sweetness level is a bit too high for me at half and would probably opt for 25% next time. The ice level at half is pretty good. The boba is also surprisingly good. Again, I've found other Tiger Sugar locations usually serve a 4/5 boba, with the boba being typically too soft. This one compresses easily on the tongue, but bounces back into a sphere immediately afterwards. It starts firming up a bit more after five or ten minutes in the drink which allows the chewy bounce to really shine. The pearls have a bit of a velvety exterior layer, indicative of a sugar soak, and display a slight level of sweetness. The sizing is a little inconsistent for some reason. Most of the pearls are standard Tiger Sugar size (e.g. a bit larger than the typical tapioca ball), but some pieces seemed to be a little shrunken. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 4.5/5 This is a surprisingly solid Tiger Sugar for milk tea. Usually I have to stick with the black sugar milk drinks, but I would actually return here for the milk tea. Note: Tiger Sugar charges 35 cents service charge for kiosk orders Bathrooms - None
I am visiting Seattle from out of state. I came to Tiger sugar for milk tea and they were so nice. I sat in the shop for a while and was told I could stay for as long as I wanted. This place is a must try! They have pretty cold things around the shop as well. 10/10!
Came by for boba for the first time on Saturday around 1 PM. The shop itself was quite small (and no AC) and there were two other people in line before me. But there are several self order kiosks and the cashier was really efficient so I was quickly able to get in my order and get my drink! There is a counter but no seats, so naturally, took my boba to go. I got the #1, a brown sugar milk tea with boba, pearls, and jelly with a cream mousse with less ice. The toppings were nice and warm (I prefer this) and the drink looked great. The way the toppings were cooked were soft and quite flavorful, a texture I prefer. The numerous toppings allows for several different sizes and textures. The drink tasted great, a mild tea flavor, with brown sugar syrup adding a good amount of sweetness. I will be back!
My best friend was raving about Tiger Sugar when they first opened in Seattle five or so years ago. It is located on 2nd Ave, which is slightly out of the way unless you're going to Pikes Place Market area. Tiger Sugar is known for their black sugar milk drinks and so I ordered their number one most popular drink, BLACK SUGAR BOBA + PEARL MILK WITH CREAM MOUSSE ($6.30 plus tax for L, $7.90 plus tax for XL). My companion ordered their BLACK SUGAR BOBA + PEARL COFFEE LATTE WITH CREAM MOUSSE ($6.55 plus tax for L, $8.15 plus tax for XL). Their drinks are evidently pricey, but at least they include boba in the price. Note that you can't adjust the sweetness level of their black sugar drinks, but you can adjust the ice level. Their BLACK SUGAR BOBA + PEARL MILK WITH CREAM MOUSSE was very Instaworthy, with black sugar just oozing down the inside of the cup and creating a beautiful gradient effect with the milk (I get why it's called Tiger Sugar now). They have a cute sign inside with a tiger shaking their drink; it has the caption "Shake 15 Times"- why 15 times, I'm not sure. But I paid over $8 for my drink and so I shook it 15 times as directed. I took a sip and was surprised by the creaminess of the milk and the maltiness of the black sugar. The boba was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of chew and the mousse was just a nice tough on top. Coming from someone who has probably had over 100 different bubble tea drinks in my life, this drink was unlike any other boba I've ever had. I get the hype. My only qualm, is that I wish that they had a black sugar option with black milk tea, but this drink almost made me not miss the tea. I tried a sip of my companion's BLACK SUGAR BOBA + PEARL COFFEE LATTE WITH CREAM MOUSSE and it was decent. It reminded me of a Vietnamese coffee, but maltier and more dark caramel tasting from the black sugar. Service was good. You order at the kiosk (or at the register) and they call out your name when it's ready. With a few parties ahead of us, it ook about 10 minutes to get our drink after ordering. Note that the indoor seating is quite limited and so most people take it to go. Parking can also be difficult, but there is a garage right next door. Overall: 5/5 for boba, 4/5 for service, 4/5 for atmosphere
I stopped here after a dental appointment as it makes hanging out in downtown and having to go to the dentist a little better. I'm usually hesitant to go to boba places where you can't adjust the amount of sugar (most places are too sugary for me), but Tiger Sugar is really good and so far, the best boba spot in Seattle (sadly, I think most boba options in Seattle are pretty meh). I think the ice level is also not customizable, but that's okay with me. Level of sweetness, ice, cream, milk and tea was balanced. The boba was a little soft but it was also warm and fresh. I've tried the brown sugar boba at other Tiger Sugar locations, and it's pretty good, as it is their number one flavor. Here, I had the taro flavor and I think it is even better. This is a small location, and there is no seating here, as this is takeout only. You order from a kiosk and boba comes out within five minutes - staff is also friendly and fast.
Be warned, street parking only and it was not easy. It was my first time trying Tiger Sugar in Washington (previously had it in Vancouver and California). The store is petite. I ordered on the kiosk, and got my drink in about 5 minutes. It's been a while since I had this, so I went with #1, their signature Black Sugar Boba and Pearl Milk with Cream Mousse. I gave it 4/5. I liked the idea of small and large boba in one drink (different textures), but the small boba was way to soft and didn't have much chew. The large boba was really good, the perfect texture, sweet and chewy. Next time I want to try the one with boba and pudding!
The drinks here are really really good!!!!! We stumbled across this boba spot after visiting the Pike Place Market which was only a few blocks away and very happy we did! We ordered a #1 and a #5 and damn those drinks were delicious!!! Our drinks came out very quick within 5 mins and the worker was very helpful. It's a very small shop and don't have any seating areas which is fine for the area it's in and also very clean place! I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a delicious boba and make sure to try either the #1 or the #5!!

Tiger Sugar finally opened in Seattle! Went to try it out and waited in a small line outside the small storefront to place my order. For many drinks, the signature black sugar syrup is artfully dripped inside the cup and milk tea is added to create a swirled effect. Ordered Black Sugar Boba Green Tea Latte with Cream Mousse - which apparently is one of the drinks that does not have the swirled syrup effect. Remember to mix your drink before you drink, to make sure the sugar is evenly distributed. Enjoyed the tea, but it was a bit too sweet because of the amount of sugary syrup that was added. read more

The boys needed boba, so we walked a bit to tiger sugar after seeing the good reviews on yelp. Our cousin got the brown sugar boba, so picturesque! My brother ordered the strawberry mochi. It included a mixture of pearls and jellies. He didn't know that the drink itself didn't include tapioca pearls (boba), so he wasn't particularly pleased. It was his fault that he didn't ask but ya know, what can you do now. The drink is very different than anything he has every gotten. Thankfully, Tiger Sugar offers milk alternatives. But one of the downsides is that they only provide the drinks in XL, not small, medium , or large. ^@kamibites on Instagram read more
The Lychee Bursting Boba Black Tea was phenomenal! I typically don't enjoy tea very much but this one tasted a bit sweeter, more like juice, so I really enjoyed it. Staff here was very sweet, kind, and efficient. I'll definitely be back! read more
Tiger Sugar is your standard boba shop offering a variety of flavors with tons of modifications. It was pretty good, but to be honest it wasn't anything special. Given that Pike Place Market is only a few blocks away, it's worth getting food from there, since you can find boba shops like Tiger Sugar all over the country. read more
It's finally here! I first had Tiger Sugar in Vegas and I fell in love with it. My fave is the number 5, which is the Tiger sugar boba and pudding milk with cream mousse. It's slightly different than the one I had in Vegas but it's still good! There's still a line but the wait is not that long. Service seems to be pretty quick. read more

My friend ordered the Black Sugar Boba + Pearl Milk w/ Cream Mousse. I ordered a Black Sugar Mochi Boba w/ Cream Mousse. Boba texture was chewy but had inconsistent sizing, not sure if they make the boba themselves. Nonetheless, great boba! My friend mentioned her drink was too sweet. I found my drink to be a perfect level of sweetness, I thought the mochi boba was interesting but grew to love it. The texture reminded me of marshmallow fluff but not as sticky or sweet. Staff were nice and helpful. Ambiance and decor were very modern and clean. When you enter Tiger Sugar, there is kiosk for you to browse the menu, select your drink(s), and pay. Staff was able to answer my friend's questions with no problems! I would visit again but I would not go out of my way given it's in downtown and parking can sometimes be a challenge! read more
My first time here was for their Hello Kitty collaboration! I wasn't the first 10 for the free gift but I was able to get their bogo Hello Kitty Crush drink! The staff did an amazing job with this promotion. It couldn't have been easy with the line wrapped around and with little space to work with but they killed it. The first time I ever had Tiger Sugar was in NYC, and it blew me away with how good its brown sugar boba was. When I heard the news of Tiger Sugar opening up in Seattle, I was stoked. For around $14, we had ordered the #1 and #5 drinks. We thought that both drinks were delicious, and it was hard not to keep drinking more and more. The boba and other add-ins were a perfect combination with the milk tea. The only main different between the two were the toppings. Otherwise, the taste was overall the same. With how sweet the drink was (with it being brown sugar boba and all), I thought that the cup size was a good size. I would definitely recommend all brown sugar boba lovers to try this place out!! read more
I enjoy the tiger theme, ordered the #1 where the slogan is "brave like a tiger". Yes, it took a lot of bravery to get to the heart of downtown Seattle and attempt to find parking alright. But I went through that hassle because I remember having Tiger Sugar in Florida for the first time and how delicious the drinks were, was excited to get our first one here in Washington. Hopefully they eventually expand somewhere on the eastside. The shop is located right across from Target, you will have to either find street parking or buy something at Target to use their garage. It is a fairly small shop, not really any seating to hang out, more to a take out place. It's also not a standard for them to shake your drinks for you so make sure you shake it well otherwise you'll drink all the sugar at the bottom. Small bubble tea shop in the middle of downtown. There is no place for sitting. You place your order in a machine. I ordered a passion fruit with mango jelly and a brown sugar boba pudding milk with cream mousse. My friend says the brown sugar boba is legit! I would agree that it's the best brown sugar boba I had yet in Seattle. The passion fruit was good but the brown sugar boba was the star thou. Would come back. I got the number 2, loved the jelly, drink was decent, middle of the line. I had higher hopes for this place, but there's better boba in Seattle. It cost around $7.30 for the large size (comes in large and XL) after tax. I think getting the XL upgrade is a better deal tbh. Not too sweet, but not watered down. No seating area, small space to order and wait for your drink. I would stop by if I'm walking around and I come upon it, but I would not go out of my way to come back. read more

I used to live near the Tiger Sugar location in NYC, so as a fan, I was excited to see it come to Seattle! This time, we ordered the #1 (signature) and #5 (pudding and cream). Unfortunately, the boba didn't live up to it's NYC counterpart -- both times I went, the consensus was that it had a fairly standard taste and presentation, similar to what you can find from brown sugar milk teas at other boba shops. The toppings are fun, but other places have also started having a bigger variety of toppings, making this place feel more overpriced for what you get. On the plus side, it doesn't have the insane down-the-block lines like the NYC location -- service was very quick. It's a small location with a counter and no seating, but nicely decorated. Overall, not a bad drink if you're in the area and have a brown sugar boba craving, but in my opinion not worth venturing out specifically for. Finally they open a Tiger Sugar location in Seattle. I tried this many times in NYC and SF when I was visiting there. I stopped by to check it out. Small shop like most of their locations. It wasn't that busy which is a plus. I ordered there signature bubble tea. Which is #1 on the menu. They only have 5 drinks option to choose from. Got my order pretty quickly and taste good. Price $6 plus tax. Cheaper than a lot of other bubble tea shop. I will stop by every once a while if I happen to be in downtown Seattle area. read more

I'd love to say this review isn't biased but I did wait 2 hours in line at their grand opening today just for a cup of boba. Got there 11:40, just in time for all the fanfare of ribbon cutting, lion dancing, speeches being made, etc. which was so fun but a bit excessive for a boba shop opening maybe (in the best way)?. Ended up being 78th in line so got a free little package of boba popcorn (???) too. It's similar to caramel corn. And the boba itself was naturally amazing. It's crazy aesthetic and I love that there's smaller boba in it too. I personally also don't mind a little extra sugar ever either so the sweetness was just the icing on the cake. Will definitely go back when the line doesn't wrap up and down the block and around the corner anymore. read more

This is THE place to go for brown sugar boba. The only issue is parking. They're located in downtown Seattle so it's a huge headache to find parking. Especially to pick up boba to go. Their store is small essentially take out only. But the delicious drinks are worth it if you're in the area. We made a stop while visiting Pike Place. I got the black sugar boba with pudding which was ah-may-zing. read more

Very disappointed. The store is not busy today. I ordered 4 cups and none of them comes with creama??? One of my order is black tea latte w/ creama, it looked like only tea and boba???? Are they out of creama? No one told us anything. read more
Glad we tried this place! The menu had some really interesting choices, but I will say I found it relatively inflexible. If you want to customize your drink, you're kind of out of luck. That said they had some unique items I was excited to try, like lychee popping boba. It was really good but unfortunately about half the bobas were too big for the already-very-large straw. Overall a good experience and I'm glad we went but I'll probably stick to other boba places with more customizable menus in the future. read more

I ordered the XL #1 signature black sugar boba pearl milk. I like how it is milky and the black sugar mixed well with the milk itself. It comes with large bobas as well as mini boba all together in this drink. I think the cost came out to be $9 after tax. I thought it was quite pricey for boba milk tea, but I did ended up enjoying the drink. read more

Went to the opening around 6pm and unfortunately they ran out of the larger pearls, totally Ok since they still had the tiny pearls. Quite tasty. I think I preferred the chocolate as I'm not much of a coffee drinker (if I do have it it's more sweet and milky). Limited menu. Cute little place read more

So happy a location opened up in Seattle. This is my favorite brown sugar boba ever! I went during lunch time and there was no line at all the week after their opening weekend. Just wish they had a larger size. read more
Finally got to try Tiger Sugar for the first time and my initial reaction is that it's pretty good, not great. I ordered the signature drink Brown Sugar Boba Milk + Pearl with Cream Mousse. First off, the milk base is slightly creamy but not super rich. Basically tastes like sweet milk with no real identifying flavor. The boba was weird because they varied in size. I had some very tiny boba pearls and also some regular sized ones. I'm not sure if this is how Tiger Sugar makes their drinks or mine just happened to be like that. The most disappointing thing was the lack of brown sugar flavor. I didn't get any taste of brown sugar - the drink just tasted sweet. Perfect amount of sweetness though. They only have L and XL size. I got a L and paid $6.56 in total after taxes. read more
