    Queso Blanco

I love the new menu and the new look of the place. We tried their 2 for $20 special on Sunday - 1 starter, 2 entrees and 2 drinks. For starters we tried the Queso Blanco and it's even better than their Golden Queso. I had the chicken quesadilla and my husband had the burrito. All was served so fast and it was delicious.

I stop by tijuana for aome late evening tacos. I ordered two ground beef taco and chips and queso. (The white queso) the food pretty ok. The food was fresh and it tasted fine. However the service was great , and thats what keeps me coming back to this location. So i giving this stop at tijuana flats an average.

I have been to this Tijuana Flats before and it's not bad but not amazing. The cashiers are very helpful and have been friendly. They delivered the food to the table and table touches were done. The restaurant is clean and there is a decent amount of space. The food is ok and that's where a full point and a fraction is lost. The queso is really good but if you're not ready to spend the extra money on it, you don't know. The salsa is on par with a decent salsa that you can find in many restaurants but not something to phone home about. The guacamole is under salted and I think there may have been salt on the sauce bar but it would be nice if there was something on the table. The plain/regular chicken street taco is a bit bland and the blackened is a little better but not by a lot. Definitely hit the sauce bar to improve the taste. I know that on a previous visit I have enjoyed the food too but I do believe I grabbed sauces from the sauce bar tand thT makes a huge difference. Will I eat there again? Yes. Will it be high on my list of Mexican style restaurants? Not really but it's more affordable then a full service casual place. I'm more on a 3.75 out of 5.

Our waitress took our order shortly after we sat and she brought chips and salsa. The chips are thin, crunchy and fresh. The flight of salsas makes the dining experience fun. Our waitress continued to refill our chips and water throughout our meal. We both ordered the salad with chicken, which came fast. The portion is huge and it was about $40 for our meal, which given the size of the salad, it's reasonable. Overall, the service and food were great!

We started off with their mimosa frescas which is bubbly paired with homemade agua fresca. Today's flavor was strawberry kiwi -- yum! My husband also got the black & white coffee drink which is horchata + cold brew, and he really enjoyed it. We're already fanatics for their chips & salsa lazy Susan setup. We're obsessed with both the green salsas. They also give you a warm red salsa and a spicy/smoky one. For our mains, I got the eggs, chorizo, and potatoes with a side of smoked bacon. My husband got the migas al carbon (breakfast tacos) with chicken. Both are served with your choice of tortillas and refried beans. Dang, their beans are good and I'm not usually a fan of them. They got our toddler's seal of approval, too. Our server was the sweetest and she even brought out a complimentary house made popsicle for our son at the end of the meal. He loved it! We'll for sure be adding Superica into our brunch rotation!

The restaurant recently changed management and the owner was gracious enough to explain the menu in its entirety to me and my wife. He also offered us samples of their shredded chicken, a definite plus . I decided on getting the beef tacos American style with Mexican rice, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese and in house made hot sauce. Delicious! The interior decor is simple and clean with a hand painted accent wall. The flavors packed a punch, which means we will be back again soon. I ended up ordering the Wildberry Mule and requested it to be less sweet. The bartender recommended the boom boom sauce on any of the entrées, so I chose the Boom Boom Chicken Enchilada. Although a little different in decor, every Chuy's has the hand painted swimming fish, the hubcap ceiling, and the shrine to Elvis which was a fixture of the original store. I had a great first Chuy's experience with my girlfriend Holly in Pembroke Pines. On a recent trip to visit my daughter in Winter Park we passed Chuy's in Lakeside Crossing and remembering how much I liked it, I suggested we dine here for dinner. In addition to the multiple dining rooms, they also have outside patio seating. We were seated in my favorite room, the dog one. If you bring in a picture of your pup you can get a free appetizer so the walls are covered with pictures of people's dogs. This room also worked out best for us because it had two TV's and we could watch the Super Bowl. We started off with their complimentary chips that come with a spicy salsa fresca and a Chuy's signature item, creamy jalapeño dressing. It started out as a dressing and it is now a dip with a following. You can even purchase it to take home with you. Two dips can never be enough so we also ordered the queso that is a beloved menu item for good reason. The menu has a number of Tex-Mex favorites like burritos, tacos, and fajitas. Chuy's is especially known for their large portions. They also make all of their own tortillas and sauces. You can customize how spicy you want your food by pepper choice and sauce. I ordered my favorite steak burrito with double rice, no beans. I replaced the spicy hatch chili sauce with the creamy deluxe tomatillo recommended by our server. It was chef's kiss. My daughter and her boyfriend said they really liked their food too and with the large portion size, ended up having leftovers to take home with them. I love the quirky decor, value, and tasty food. We were in the mood for filling meal with a casual vibe and Chuy's hit the spot.

Service was great - food was fast! My husband and I each got specialty margaritas - we ordered "small" and were glad! They were pretty big. The mediums must be huge. Drinks were delicious and had a ton of fruit inside. My husband loved the mole chicken and the bean dip that comes with the chips was yummy. I, however, should have stuck with the beans. As a vegetarian, I decided to give some love to the soy taco option. It had some good reviews from 4-5 years back and I try to support creative veggie food when I can. I make tacos with a soy food product and they're delicious, so I was hopeful. I should have refrained. First of all, they looked pretty gross. Little pink lumps, not at all what I was expecting. I added cheese and ordered them in soft corn tortillas (they come in lettuce). It was so bland and had an unpleasant texture. But it also had this fake smell to it. I added salsa, thinking it would help. It did not. The pinto beans that came with it were also pretty bland. I barely ate one of the tacos. It's been a long time since I couldn't eat the food I ordered. They should stick to beans and rice. I also got a cheese enchilada from the à la carte menu. That was good! All in all, I might go back if I wanted a fruit salad in my margarita, but I will absolutely not order the soy tacos again!

Being that I was in the area, I figured let's give this spot a try. Lo and behold, El Pueblo was only six minutes down the road! There was a 20 minute wait, but I was greeted kindly by the staff, and when I walked in you could tell this place was super authentic. The decor was super vibrant and music was bumping. They do not have alcohol, but they have coronas and a margarita type glass premixed for purchase. That held us over for the time being. The chips and salsa were phenomenal. The salsa had some type of sweet pepper flavor to it and you could tell it was homemade.
