    alambre taco

I ordered the Alambre tacos. They were DELICIOUS!!! And the lady who took my order was very kind and quick. I got four tacos and some rice and beans. It was $27. A little pricey, but honestly, I thought the tacos were amazing. They are very flavorful. Definitely coming back again.

Filthy mop bucket with wet towel and lemons right next to salsa bar and drink dispenser.

Came in here about three weeks ago. First thing I notice is that it's hot inside, maybe the AC was broke or not working but at the same time the window all face west and the shades were up. Secondly, there's a filthy mop bucket right next to the register and salsa bar... the water was almost black and there was a faint smell. There was a wet towel jammed next to the counter with a bunch of lemon slices all over the floor and the mop handle was leaning against the drink dispenser. As we were ordering I figured they were in the middle of cleaning a spill or something but 45 min later when we were finishing up, it was all still there festering. There were three people working that I could see and they weren't that busy, it would have taken 10 min to get the front straightened out. It made me hesitant to actually eat what I ordered. About a third of the tables were dirty and the bathroom was a war zone. I've literally used bathrooms IN Tijuana which were better. We ordered a mix of carne asada and al pastor tacos. They were okay I've had worse and better. The ONLY reason I'm not giving two stars and not one is because the food didn't kill me, which seemed possible given the environment. There are 500 other places in the IE where you can get a better taco and where the staff care about the cleanliness of the facility.

La atención de sus cajeras muy amables, pero en la cocina muy mal cortada la carne de los tacos, las tortillas más calentadas y muy grosero la persona de la cocina( el joven tiene lentes)

It was my first time trying this place and I really liked it. A great spot for late night tacos. I got carne asada tacos. I loved the salsa and the limes were perfect. I will be back since it's not too far away from where I work. Thank you for being open late.

Carne asada nachos. Meat clearly under cooked! And they wouldn't let me change my dish said we don't do that. Too bad you didn't like it.
    Cyn A.

Extremely poor customer service. I ordered carne asada nachos and the meat was under cooked. I took one bite and I couldn't I took it back and asked if I could please get something else because this was nasty and there's no way I could eat it. The cashie mr was rude for the minUte we walked in. So after I spent $60 on food she refused to replace my meal and said no we don't do that so I asked for there corporate number and she said they don't have one for me to come back Monday after 9am when the manager is there! Umm... I work! She then said the meat was cooked perfect and she wasn't and she couldn't exchange my plate. This is very unfortunate any other restaurant would've done it. This employee needs to be talked stop and the cook on duty needs to learn how to cook the meat correctly. Worse experience I've ever had in any restaurant! I mean I was returning my food the way they served it. The cashier was very rude from the start too bad because this place seemed legit.

Location is near Mission Inn on Main Street. Price is on the higher end so plan to pay an average of $30/person. The only thing that was a bummer for us was the loud music for lunch hour experience. The music was loud and made me think it would be best for a club atmosphere? Maybe it was just me but I felt anxiety eating because the music was so upbeat and loud. Music is a big part of the eating experience. I know some people may be fine with it. For example, we had breakfast at Tio's Taco and the music was spot on for the dining experience.

I found out about it through my cousin, who's a UCR alum, and I'm really glad I finally got to try it. The staff were super nice and attentive, constantly coming by our table to check if we needed more water, tortillas, or anything else we might want. Even with how busy it was, they still made sure everyone was taken care of, which I really appreciated. The restaurant was packed, and it actually surprised me because I don't usually see that many people at restaurants in Riverside. The energy inside felt lively but still comfortable. One of my favorite parts was the fresh tortillas. They come out hot and fresh from the oven, and you can literally watch them being made right in front of you, which made it even better. And the best part is they're free. We ordered the carne fajitas and chile relleno. The fajitas were incredible, the meat was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, with that perfect smoky sear that comes from being cooked fresh on a hot skillet. Everything came out sizzling and stayed flavorful with every bite. The chile relleno was also really good, with a nice balance of savory and slightly creamy filling that paired well with the sauce. It was actually my first time trying fajitas, and I can confidently say I'll be ordering them again the next time I come back. I definitely plan on returning while I'm still at UCR to make up for all the years I didn't know this place existed.

We have not been here since the 90's and I have to say, it was much better back then. All in all, there is just no flavor. The salsa tasted like watery tomatoes, our waitress gave us a little side of habanero salsa to incorporate with it but that heat is the extreme for me. We ordered the Mesquite chicken and steak fajitas which were less than average. Not sure if it was just a bad day, but the taste of the protein did not match up to the wonderful smell of BBQ outside the restaurant. The tortillas were just ok, first batch was not even warm. My Michelada was good though. Bummer visit after being away for so long. Looks like the interior could stand a makeover.

They were definitely not worth the price, and, again, our we had to look for our server. During all the waiting and searching both my wife and I suffered with the extremely loud music, and my wife is deaf (not a joke). The music was so loud it vibrated on the table and chair, which bothered my wife, and luckily we use ASL to communicate. The few other tables had to speak loud enough that I could hear their conversations. Bad food, slow service, and way too loud music, we won't be back.

Their Mojarra for one, is amazing with some corn tortillas, beans and rice, and lettuce. The lime garlicky sauce on that one, is what I've been dreaming of. It was THE star of the show. Great size for two to share, and we had a blast just eating and enjoying the sights laid out to see. Their pickled onions got a spicy kick to it! I loved the added crunch instead of just having the typical hot salsa. Service was great, with the waiters and waitresses checking in on us every now and then, and I liked that we pay first then eat, so we just leave after we're done! There is a salsa bar that can help add to your meal like spicy pickled carrots, cucumbers, salsa and pickled onions. My favorite part of this place is the art decor. They're all made from materials that were bound to go in the trash, most notably cans that they open for cooking. So you'll see lids and the other material from cans beautifully molded into these structures. It may seem random but I found lots of humor and play thrown into the craftsmanship of it all. Some pieces are like playing I Spy. It was funner to see than a lot of museums I've gone to actually. It's truly just packed with art. I even got to meet one of the artists as he was working on something. He was really friendly. There's a few of them who work on them together and I learned they've been doing this since the 90's! How cool. It's so nice to see all the things they've come up with to create. Go check it out! Definitely a date worthy spot too. My bf and I had a lot of fun walking around seeing what they created.
