La comida esta peroooo, hasta quería bailar the tacos I got were so good and the lady here had the best service, very kind and patient.

    alambre taco

I ordered the Alambre tacos. They were DELICIOUS!!! And the lady who took my order was very kind and quick. I got four tacos and some rice and beans. It was $27. A little pricey, but honestly, I thought the tacos were amazing. They are very flavorful. Definitely coming back again.

Filthy mop bucket with wet towel and lemons right next to salsa bar and drink dispenser.
    Jared K.

Came in here about three weeks ago. First thing I notice is that it's hot inside, maybe the AC was broke or not working but at the same time the window all face west and the shades were up. Secondly, there's a filthy mop bucket right next to the register and salsa bar... the water was almost black and there was a faint smell. There was a wet towel jammed next to the counter with a bunch of lemon slices all over the floor and the mop handle was leaning against the drink dispenser. As we were ordering I figured they were in the middle of cleaning a spill or something but 45 min later when we were finishing up, it was all still there festering. There were three people working that I could see and they weren't that busy, it would have taken 10 min to get the front straightened out. It made me hesitant to actually eat what I ordered. About a third of the tables were dirty and the bathroom was a war zone. I've literally used bathrooms IN Tijuana which were better. We ordered a mix of carne asada and al pastor tacos. They were okay I've had worse and better. The ONLY reason I'm not giving two stars and not one is because the food didn't kill me, which seemed possible given the environment. There are 500 other places in the IE where you can get a better taco and where the staff care about the cleanliness of the facility.

La atención de sus cajeras muy amables, pero en la cocina muy mal cortada la carne de los tacos, las tortillas más calentadas y muy grosero la persona de la cocina( el joven tiene lentes)

Asada taco was decent. Didnt even add any guac to it. Pastor and chorizo were straight trash.

The meal started off strong with their chips and salsa--super fresh and flavorful. For my entrée, I had the chicken fajitas. While they were cooked properly, I wish they had a bit more seasoning to really bring out the flavor. My wife had the enchiladas divorciadas, which were beautifully presented, but unfortunately, the filling was a bit cool. She probably should have sent it back, but since we were in a hurry, we didn't bother. On the positive side, my daughter had the carne asada burrito, and she said it was excellent. Service started off great with our younger male waiter being very attentive at first, but it slowed down significantly as our meal went on. By the end of our visit, I actually had to go up to the register to ask to pay. It was lunch time, and it wasn't that busy, so this felt a bit out of the ordinary. Despite the hiccups, I'm willing to give Morena's Mexican Cuisine another try, as it may have just been an off day. The chips and salsa, along with my daughter's burrito, showed that they definitely have what it takes to impress. I'll reserve final judgment after my next visit!

I found out about it through my cousin, who's a UCR alum, and I'm really glad I finally got to try it. The staff were super nice and attentive, constantly coming by our table to check if we needed more water, tortillas, or anything else we might want. Even with how busy it was, they still made sure everyone was taken care of, which I really appreciated. The restaurant was packed, and it actually surprised me because I don't usually see that many people at restaurants in Riverside. The energy inside felt lively but still comfortable. One of my favorite parts was the fresh tortillas. They come out hot and fresh from the oven, and you can literally watch them being made right in front of you, which made it even better. And the best part is they're free. We ordered the carne fajitas and chile relleno. The fajitas were incredible, the meat was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, with that perfect smoky sear that comes from being cooked fresh on a hot skillet. Everything came out sizzling and stayed flavorful with every bite. The chile relleno was also really good, with a nice balance of savory and slightly creamy filling that paired well with the sauce. It was actually my first time trying fajitas, and I can confidently say I'll be ordering them again the next time I come back. I definitely plan on returning while I'm still at UCR to make up for all the years I didn't know this place existed.

But I'm glad we chose Ay Mi Pa for my friend's graduation celebration. We came around 6-7 PM on a Saturday and surprisingly there wasn't much of a dinner rush yet. The place is huge with lively music and definitely gives more bar/club vibes as the night goes on. The aguachile was really good and flavorful. We also tried the espresso martini, which was a little too bitter for me. I ordered the Spicy Soltera and they accidentally brought me a different drink first. They let me keep that one and still brought out the correct drink, which was nice of them. And wow... definitely one of the spiciest drinks I've ever had. But I can't really complain when "spicy" is literally in the name. We chose the Jefe Skillet. It's massive and could easily feed three people. All the meats were really flavorful, the guacamole was great, and even the complimentary chips and salsa were good. The rice and beans were pretty average, but everything else made up for it. Overall, great food, huge portions, and a really fun atmosphere for a celebration. 8.5/10

Very spacious location, decor has you feeling like you're in Cancun, really good setup. Music is BLASTING, there's a Dj and large screen playing music videos and the music selection when I was there was on point! 5/5 for the vibes! We started off with a mimosa, standard drunk so nothing out of this world about it. Chips and salsa were brought out for the table and both were really good! Chips were warm and made in-house so they were perfect. Salsa was a pico de gallo finely chopped. For my main course I ordered the huevos rancheros and that was a 3/5. Overall flavor was good I will say but the dish was a little cold upon the first bite. Loaded with sour cream and salsa, it was a little too much. The dish came with asada (steak) inside and the meat was really chewy and only a few pieces of it. I was too thrown off by the food being slightly cold but otherwise, it wasn't terrible. Very modern take on Mexican food. Service was quick and our waiter, Jose was super nice! No complaints there whatsoever. This place is definitely more for the vibe itself. Good spot to grab some appetizers or a quick small bite, or just drinks themselves. Overall, 3.8 stars from me!

Great size for two to share, and we had a blast just eating and enjoying the sights laid out to see. Their pickled onions got a spicy kick to it! I loved the added crunch instead of just having the typical hot salsa. Service was great, with the waiters and waitresses checking in on us every now and then, and I liked that we pay first then eat, so we just leave after we're done!
