The new wave of fast food Indian cuisine is here and I'm not mad about it. I just happened to be nearby and noticed they're having a soft opening. I had no dinner plans so win/win. It was packed. They had one self-service kiosk. I ordered samosas, chicken biryani and garlic naan - standards that anyone should love - for my husband and I to share. Food was made to order and pretty quick - maybe 5-7 minutes from order to hand delivery. The staff wasn't super chatty but a gentleman did offer to answer any questions I had as I was ordering. It was a seamless process. Menu was limited due to the soft opening so I'm going to go back next week to try more items. Overall, it was a good filling meal. I hope this spot sticks around.

This location is brand new in my area but it's apparently a much larger chain. Everything about this spot is refreshing and vibrant, especially since it's located in the "Mills Station" complex. The staff knows exactly what they are doing when it comes to service and food. I ordered take out and figured that there would be a small sacrifice of quality for my convenience to stay home, but everything turned out better than anticipated. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you want a quick, filling, and simple Indian meal for a good price. I will definitely be returning and am looking forward to having a sit down meal next time around too.

    Only chicken and bread.

I usually come here no problem. Today i come i order online. I assumed the order came with rice because hello why would it not. I paid the extra 25cent for the naan. Then i get home no RICE. I called the man gets mad says its not their fault. Mind you I never blamed them i said i thought it automatically came with rice. He hangs up on me no bye or anything. I paid 18$ for a meal and received nothing but some dry nasty naan. Its already at 3 stars. Of course they are not authentic Indian but now I am officially done with this spot. I will be going back to the others around the corner.

The food I ordered was seasoned and cooked well and was generous in portion size. Service wasn't bad or good; the gentleman seemed a bit robotic but he served me nonetheless. The inside was fine but the floor needed a good sweep. I will still return though.

Tikka Shack is a welcome addition to the Owings Mills dining scene for anyone craving a quick, flavorful, and modern Indian meal. While it may not replace a traditional curry house for a grand, sit-down feast, it hits the spot perfectly for an easy weeknight takeout run, a quick lunch, or a craving for creative, spice-infused fusion food.

Hands down the best Indian food I've had in Owings Mills -- every dish was bursting with flavor! If you're anywhere near Owings Mills and craving Indian food, you need to check out Tikka Shack. We dined in as a family and tried a huge variety of dishes -- and honestly, everything was outstanding. We tried everything at house spice - there were addition levels of heat for those interested. We had the Shrimp Coconut Tacos, Paneer Butter Taco, Tikka Pizza with chicken, Chicken Biryani, Mango Lassi, Ras Malai, Street Style Chaat (both the samosa and potato versions), Tikka Masala, Garlic Naan, and Samosas. For drinks we had fountain coke, Maasa Lychee, and Tractor Orange Cadamon. Every dish had its own personality -- from the bold spices to the fresh garnishes -- and each one was delicious. The restaurant itself is super clean with plenty of seating, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. We even ordered some extra to bring home for our lunches the next day! All in all - we all left happy and full! Highly recommend this spot -- it's perfect for families, groups, or even takeout if you just want seriously good Indian grub at home.

The décor and ambience of this restaurant is so serene and welcoming. As always, they start you off with a basket of Papadum (light crispy Indian wafers) and two dipping sauces. These are really delicious and a wonderful introduction to Indian food. Our foods started with an order of split Vegetable and Chicken Momo dumplings that were marinated in Nepali spices stuffed in flour wrapped and steamed and served with a special chutney. For our friends' main course, they split a Chicken Tikka Masala, which was boneless white meat chicken cooked with onions, tomatoes, and bell peppers. They also ordered Naan - the traditional unleavened white bread. My husband had his favorite, the Tandoori Shrimp. It was a very generous portion of jumbo shrimp marinated in an herb mixture and delicately broiled in our tandoori clay oven served with mixed vegetables. This came out sizzling. This came with a side of spinach that was more like a creamed spinach. It was the best we have ever tasted! It was creamy with the best seasoning. I decided to try something new and ordered the Chicken Pista Korma which was White meat chicken simmered in a mild pistachio sauce. I would have like smaller pieces of chicken, but the sauce was delicate and delicious. All of our entrees came with basmati rice. The portions are so generous we all had something to take home for another meal. Our servers were very attentive and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed another great meal at Indian Ocean.

Check out the Chicken 65 version and the Chicken Majestic appetizer in particular. They hit the spot! Is it a coincidence that my daughter said her favorite food is biryani after eating here? Our group of six went to Hyderabad Stories in Cockeysville planning to dive into their lunch buffet, only to find out they no longer offer it. Since we were already there and hungry, we decided to stick around and order from the regular menu and honestly, it worked out just fine. The space used to be San Sushi before the owner retired, and the interior layout is pretty much the same. It is simple and perfectly serviceable for small to medium groups. When we visited, we were actually the only occupied table, which made for a quiet and relaxed lunch. Since there was no official buffet, we decided to make our own by ordering a half dozen dishes to share. We went with a variety of curries, multiple biryanis, butter chicken, samosas, and plenty of naan for the table. Everything came out at a great pace and the service was very friendly and efficient throughout. The curries were the highlight for me. Some were dialed up with extra heat for the spice lovers at the table, while others were milder, but all of them were packed with flavor and tasted fresh. The biryanis were also excellent, with generous portions of both lamb and chicken. No skimping on the protein here. Pricing was reasonable, and when we split the bill it came out to about what each of us would typically spend at an Indian lunch buffet anyway. Overall, even without the buffet option, Hyderabad Stories is a great Indian food choice in the area and definitely worth checking out if you are craving flavorful curries and solid biryani.

This was highly recommended by one of the Indian guys I met at the CrossFit. It's a South Indian restaurant so they seem to have various options for dosa and other South Indian food. We decided to try their thali. I got the goat thali. The goat was cooked to perfection. The curry was nice and flavorful. The vegetables and lentils were delicious as well. I wish the rasam and chicken 65 were more flavorful. Rasam was bland and the chicken 65 lacked the spicy flavor. Overall, great experience. Nice service and good ambiance.

The name "Sangam," which means "meeting and getting along," evokes the spirit of mutual trust inspired by a classic Indian film of the same name. This romantic notion sets the stage for a delightful culinary experience. Upon entering, you might not find opulence, but the restaurant exudes a cool, neat vibe. The ambiance is unpretentious, with two diligent South Indian girls serving food with a warm smile, creating a welcoming environment. The menu is a treasure trove of South Indian dishes, many of which may seem unfamiliar, especially for those from a Punjabi or Pakistani background. Though the choices can be overwhelming, the restaurant is particularly renowned for its Masala Dosa--a must-try for any visitor. Here are some of our favorite selections: Sukha Goshat: A flavorful dish reminiscent of bhuna meat, prepared with an array of spices, served alongside naan or paratha--perfect for a satisfying meal. Biryani: Their biryanis are noteworthy, bursting with rich flavors that stand out. Appetizers: We often start with Chicken 65 or Fish Chilli. The tangy, spicy Chicken 65 has a unique flavor that distinguishes it from typical offerings at Indian restaurants. If you ever plan to visit Sangam, I'd love to join you for this delightful culinary adventure!
