There is no service in this place. I have been twice. The first time it was not busy and fairly empty. I was seated and given a menu. Waited about 10 minutes and never saw a server. Left hungry. Went today to be fair and give another chance. It was crowded and the wait was not long to be seated. I waited over half an hour and the server never came to my table or even looked at me. She passed within 2 feet of me! I was being patient and understand that she was handling several tables so I was giving her the benefit of the doubt. When other customers came seated after me and she went to them I gave up wanting to try the food. This makes twice I wanted to try the food and both times I came away hungry from lack of service. read more

She wasn't that busy and she told me no. Lol who tells a customer "no" flat out, like not try to reason with me or recommend two sauces but just plain no. I love the Tilted Kilt, normally. They've got a really great burger and the wings are tasty. But this location is horrible. A friend and I sat at the bar for dinner, bartender was not friendly, but not rude either so that wasn't too bad. We each ordered the spinach salad and thank god we asked for the dressing on the side. The mango citrus dressing tasted like industrial cleaner and made us both gag. We asked for different dressing. I don't know how you can ruin a salad that has spinach, 1 hard boiled egg and cranberries (menu said it also had bleu cheese crumbles, I saw about 3) but it was the worst salad I've ever had. You can get a better salad at McDonalds. And it was not much bigger than a dinner salad for #11.99. So we ordered wings, since we couldn't hardly choke down but half the salad, and the wings were terrible. How do you mess up wings? The sauce was decent, but the wings came at room temperature, so by the time we got to the last few, they were cold. All this time, the bartender never asked if we wanted more drinks, never came to check on us, basically avoided us. And the place was empty. We will never be back. read more

If google would allow me to give it ZERO stars I would. The food is what you would expect from an chain restaurant, with that being said the owner/owners and managers have no idea how to run a business. I went to eat dinner with my family which is only myself my wife and my one and a half year old not even a busy night for a Thursday. Waited an average of fifteen to twenty minutes each time from when we sat down to just take our drink order. 15-20 minutes later we actually had some one take our drink order, 15 minutes later we got those drinks. 15 minutes later we were able to put in our order for just one appetizer and our dinner. 20 minutes later our appetizer comes. 5 minutes later we actually get our dinner which was I guess quick compared to how the service was but our food was cold. We barely ate anything as everything was garbage. There was so much more that I can't even put in to this review other then don't go there unless you want to waste money as I did. I only stayed there with my family because I was committed to stay to the end to give them the benefit of the doubt. I spent ten years in the army ended getting out, with that being said I have had army field breakfast and dinner and most of those were MRE's that we're way better then what I had here. After getting out of the army I went and graduateded from culinary school worked in dozens of restaurants, bars and kitchens in all positions. So like I said if you want your basic chain restaurant food feel free and go there and waste your money. If you want the worst service you can ever think about and you don't even have to take it from me not like I have any experience in this field ha, come here by al means. read more

The food here has not impressed and the customer service could use some work I've only been here twice all I had so far was the nachos they were the worst I've ever had like seriously the second time I came back I had learned my lesson so I did drinks and that was actually pretty good decent even though I had to wait forever to even get noticed by the bartender the guy next to me actually had to get the someone's attention for me I really wasn't that pressed though I had came to see the NFL games so I was staying awhile anyway. One thing I can say about this spot is that they show every NFL game and all the UFC fights. I'm here till November so maybe my rating will go up from my next visit tonight we'll see read more

This place is probably the worst place to go if you expect to have service above terrible or horrific! The bartenders make good drinks and they work hard so sit at the bar. If you decide to sit in the dining area avoid Destiny and Lizzy! If you aren't a regular you won't get any service. I'm a big fan of the Tilted Kilt. Their food is typically much better than their service, even considering the waitresses often go out of their way to flirt with you and make you feel "special." Most people can see right through it and understand that its a part of what makes Tilted Kilt unique - plus they want bigger tips too, right? I've found that their wings are the best item on the menu, with the burgers coming in at a close #2. They have a decent selection of beers - local, domestic and import. Last time I ate here I sipped up a fly in my beer. As gross as it was, my waitress was apologetic about it and provided a [fly-free] full glass of beer immediately. I came here with family and friends over the Thanksgiving holiday and had a nice time. It has a typical chain resteraunt atmosphere, but was well-designed with a fun and open atmosphere. I've been spoiled by the waterside view of The Tilted Kilt in Myrtle Beach, so I found the outside view of the back of a Lowes building a tad disappointing, but you can hardly blame the business. I went with my young son, so I wasn't there to party, though I did split an excellent draft IPA (if you haven't tried Devil's Backbone, do yourself a favor and order it on your next trip to The Tilted Kilt) with a dining partner. Our waitress was attractive and well put-together (I can't recall her name; a pretty black girl with very long hair....) though she did seem a little nervous about keeping our table pleased! I can only imagine that a family unit dining in such an atmosphere might throw the waitresses off. She was very sweet and kept our drinks refilled and apologized for the longish wait on our appetizer which, of course, wasn't her fault. We had the calamari and loved it; even my picky three-year-old helped himself! My son had the child's pepperoni pizza which I sampled and found quite delicious. I had a burger, which I ordered medium and it arrived as such. It wasn't anything impressive, but definitely not bad for a chain resteraunt. I presented the waitress with a Yelp coupon that only showed up on my phone, and our waitress called the manager, who came promptly and accepted our coupon without a hitch. The clientele seemed to be enjoying themselves and I'd definitely be interested in returning again sans the child unit to experience a few drinks and a football game here at The Tilted Kilt! read more

I came to the Tilted Kilt last week Thursday (6/8/17) and it was right around when they opened so my expectations where pretty high for getting nice hit TK grilled chicken wings. Boy was I let down. Two on my wing we're still cold . So I decided to give them another chance and came today (6/16/17) holly hell if my damn wings were not cold again! This time there was four of them! And it's after 6pm on a Friday. For real!?! I would not recommend this Kilt to anyone if they are looking for wings. Two separate incidents in just over a week...... GARBAGE! The beer was cold but the service sucked and I was at the bar. The bartender couldn't even get my beer right. And it was in tap!!! That's the reason for the one star. read more

Food here was "mediocre" nothing exciting about it at all. Service wasn't great. The waitresses would flock around the tables that had groups of men at it in hopes of better tips instead taking care of all customers. Since I came in with my son I saw mine like 3 or 4 times and another waitress actually walked by me and noticed our drinks were empty before I could find our waitress. My son got a burger that wasn't even close to good. Asked for medium rare and got well done. I got the fish tacos. They were loaded up which looked good until I ate one. Now I love some spice on my tacos man I'm talking a decent amount of flavorful heat. These things were just off the chart on fire. I couldn't enjoy the flavor of the fish because of the burn. It is difficult to swallow being lied to by a restaurant manager. My last three meals here have been lacking any quality control. Burnt sausage, Frozen Cheese Sticks, and cold Steak. The kitchen manager, who will remain nameless other than to say B.T. out of respect for the owner, lacks the skill, conviction and INTEGRITY to insure your meal is the quality which you are paying for. Today was the tilting point. After receiving a cold steak, I asked to speak to the manager. B.T. arrived and began feeding me excuse after excuse as to how there could be nothing wrong with the meal. I demonstrated that the meal was served cold at about 80 degrees. I explained that a medium rare steak (my order) should be served at about 145 - 155 degrees. He stated that the steak did not sit in the serving window. It was pulled from the grill and immediately served. Later, after speaking with my waitress (who had spoke to the cook) informed me that the cook had indeed pulled the steak from the grill and set it aside because he had forgotten to cook the side dish... B.T. had knowing lied to a customer to hide his ignorance of the facts. I had only taken two bites of the meal, before passing it to the waitress to dispose of it. Later, I went to the Texas Road House and bought another meal. OH, did I forget to mention that the manager didn't even bother to take the COLD MEAL off my bill. Today, after finishing a salad with salmon on top (which was very good by the way), the same manager came to ask how the meal was. He made the comment, 'Was it cook to the required 140 - 145 degrees...' I took this an insult and nothing more than his attempt to mock my prior statement. The comment was unnecessary as he would not go to other tables and quote the serving temperatures of their meals... Yes, I know Salmon is served at 145 degrees. The question is, does he know what is coming out of his kitchen? So after that, you might be asking... Why the four starts. The bartenders are outstanding, attentive and tend to remember a regulars drink preference. The waitresses are just as amazing! If you want fast friendly service, Amber, Cristy, Crystal and MOST OF ALL - THE AMAZING, BEAUTIFUL, & INTELLECTUAL WONDER "SHANTE" the waitresses for you. That is not to say that the others are bad, just that I'm not naming everyone. and those three have been the best with me. I hope that I have not put off from giving this place a try for yourselves. Just be aware that not all of the managers have your best interest at heart. read more

Good food. We Ordered grilled wings and a wrap with a spinach salad with grilled chicken. The issues were we had a very unattentive waitress, salad was drenched in dressing and the fried were covered in parsley. Had i ordered the dressing on the side the salad would have been excellent. It appeared most of the wait staff was pleasant and efficient so the difference here between four And three stars was solely the server. Great place to watch pay per view boxing. Lots of screens all over the place. I ordered the Shepard's Pie. It was very tasty. My boyfriend order hot wings and said they were just right for him. It was a busy night due to the fight; however, the service was not too bad. We got our checks right at the end of the fight. My home town Raleigh location just flat SUCKS, and Wilmington has the college hotties so at least they have that. Went here to catch a game and get decent food. I've been to the Kilts in Texas and I've always loved their food..The food at this one was so so at best. The calamari was ok but was honestly the worst I've had in a long time. The Hot Mess burger was a let down because it wasn't even a mess. I mean they barely put any chili on the sucker, I could have picked the thing up if I wasn't trying to be somewhat lady like. The beef was super bland. Sweet potato fries, well the fries I buy from the grocery store are better than those. I feel like everything they served was just dethawed from a package and heated up. I came here one night and specifically asked to be seated where I could watch the bruins games, they sat me accordingly, then changed the game to golf... I was displeased but still like the place. The waitresses are nice, but generally more friendly with the men, which I am not. I love the burgers and the Sheppard's pie. This place also has reasonable hours, they're open on Sunday!!
