Could have used a little salt to make the flavor come through a little better but overall still my favorite item. I learned to read the cocktail descriptions before ordering. The Maine-garita is made with a hot pepper tequila or liqueur. Maine doesn't draw up imagery of spicy hot peppers. Change the name of that recipe and give the Maine-garita an overhaul. Amazing restaurant hidden and tucked away as part of a hotel. I was really impressed by the different flavor combinations offered, and the extensive menu that they have to suit everyone's needs. Their French onion soup is definitely a must try and you won't regret it. Their different food options do really pair well with each other. I ended up getting salmon and it was made very well. The staff was also really nice and was able to make some really good suggestions. The restaurant and restaurants are kept immaculate clean as well! We had a wonderful Mother's Day dinner at Timber. We want to thank for our waitress Cassidy and her assistant for taking great care of our party of 6! All of us thought our meals and appetizers were delicious. For appetizers we had the Maine Scallops with Shrimp and the Timber Chicken Wings. For our meals we had the Creekstone Farms Ribeye, the Cedar Plank Roasted Salmon, the Small Farms Steak Frites, the Herb Crusted Halibut, the 24 hour Short Rib Filet and the Brick Oven Roasted All Natural Chicken. Sandwich had less meat than bread. The bread was delicious and tender. FRIES were cold reheated greasy. Had better fries from fast food. Bruschetta ...... AMAZING best part of dinner. Seating tables were so close, the kid next to us was bitching at his mother for suggesting a certain insurance company. They other side was a couple out on a date night, heard so many sexual innuendos. Felt I needed to text my husband to have a conversation without others hearing. Second visit on the next night; I ordered the steak frites and the sirloin was excellent and cooked to my requested temperature. However, the fries had nice seasoning, but obviously were put on the plate from some warmer. I would expect a place like this to cook their fries to order. With my last review of cold mashed potatoes, is there a trend here? The creme brûlée trio blew me away. Lemon, Maple and Espresso. Probably the best rendition of this dessert I've had. We came here for Sunday brunch and really enjoyed it! I believe it's served 10am-2pm every Sunday. Firstly, they bring popovers with butter and strawberry jam. Next, we get a choice of a starter per guest, two sides per table, and one entree per guest. Plus choice of meat that is being served for the day. All for a fixed price of 25 dollars. Drinks are additional. You can also opt out and order other single items from the menu. We got the cider donuts, mini cast maple iron waffle for starters. I loved the melt in your mouth cider donuts. So fresh and served with hot cream. My husband loved the mini waffle wth the blueberry compote. Next we ordered, Olive oil whipped Maine potatoes and truffle herb fingerling potatoes for sides. Absolutely delicious. For our entree, we enjoyed the skillet hens egg omelette. I ordered the cinnamon brioche French toast but didn't really eat it as I was sooo full by now. So we got it to go. They were serving pork and prime rib for the meat of the day-I didn't try either one so can't comment on the quality or taste. For their caffeine drinks like cappucino or lattes-unfortunately they don't have the choice of almond/oat/soy milk so only really have the choice of whole milk-tad but inconvenient for someone who is lactose intolerance. The orange juice was really good too. Love their decor inside, and the bathrooms are really clean too. Servers were wearing mask at all times and really helpful. Choice of outdoor or indoor dining. Would most certainly recommend, especially for brunch! read more

I am at a loss for words. We discovered Timber on our way home from Acadia National Park last year. We were "blown away " by the experience. We immediately decided that we would include this restaurant in our vacation plans this year, which we did. Everything about this place is 5 star, from the decor, to the food, to the staff. Our server was a young man named Kenyan. Without a doubt, Kenyan is perhaps one of the best, if not the best, servers we've ever had. He made our dining experience so enjoyable. The last time we had a server this responsive, he moved to a high end seafood restaurant in Boston. I hope Kenyan sticks around, but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets an offer he can't refuse. About the food, Trip Advisor recently rated Timber "the best restaurant in the country for good eats!" That's all I am going to say.
