    Brisket Sliders
    Tim G.

Just OK. Had the Brisket Sliders with French Fries. The meat was reasonably flavorful, but really, really dry. Not much sauce, so there just wasn't a lot of flavor going on. And really dry. The fries were fine, but nothing special. Normally I might try some of their other menu items if I were to visit again, but since this restaurant is in the Lumberyard and there are several other dining options to choose from here, I will just opt for one of the other restaurants.

I am from San Diego visiting here for work to attend the Schweitzer engineering lab conference. This place is about 2 miles from the hotel. Definitely a smaller College town version of the windmill in Carlsbad. Multiple little food shops, large Quonset hut building, great music and pretty cool College town vibe. Food was inexpensive and delicious. Definitely a win on the salad and wings! From what I heard they have music both live and DJ at night. This place could get packed with the college crowd from Washington state, was here at 3:30 on a Tuesday. Super friendly staff. Cool place and chill.

Burger and fries. Plus a specialty drink from our upstairs bar

The burger came out of the freezer and it took a long time. I won't go back. The beer at Lumberyard is always good.

The menu is not clear, the restaurant is extremely noisy. Food was marginal at best.

The rest of the food took about 35-40 minutes to come out when there was literally no one there. Also, the food we ordered was simple to get out in a fairly timely manner (Club sandwich, bruschetta, Mac and cheese, and Caesar salad). The menu is weirdly specific in some instances and not specific at all in others. Ex: wings come in mild, buffalo, and spicy, but one would assume the buffalo is a sauce but the mild was a dry rub (would be nice to know but not stated). Ex: Caesar is $14 and you can add "grilled" chicken, shrimp, or salmon for an extra $5 (in the case of chicken). My "grilled" chicken came out in cold chunks that looked like they had been rebought and kept cold then just dumped in the salad. When u order an entree salad and they say "grilled" chicken one would assume it's been freshly grilled for dinner, not just a salad that I could get in the deli aisle at a supermarket. Just an overall weird dinner for the price we paid. Service was friendly enough but sparse. Food tasted decent enough but when going out to eat I'd like to pay for more attention to the food than what I could put together with what I bought on my Costco run. Maple Manhattan was a solid drink though. Overall, not a 1 bc the taste was ok, but the rest was super underwhelming for what else is available in Pullman. Probably won't be back.

It wasn't too busy but most of the booths were taken, but we were seated quickly and didn't have to wait. We knew what we wanted so we didn't even have to wait, we put our order it promptly at 6:20 pm. Let me tell you when we FINALLY got our order, keep in mind we only ordered a total of 20 boneless wings and fries. That's it!! And it came out 7:35 pm. It took an HOUR AND 15 MINUTES for 20 wings!! We were 5 minutes away from leaving but luckily it came out right before leaving. The funny thing is, our waiter was the one who made our order. He saw us still waiting after telling us 5 more minutes 30 minutes ago, so he ended up walking to the kitchen and making our order himself. Which was NOT HIS JOB! I appreciate our waiter and he was great, it was only the people in the back. I want to know if it's the manager, the people they hire are not doing their job. I really could not tell you. But there's no way it wasn't even busy yet it took almost an hour and a half to receive a few orders of bones less wings. I will be submitting a complaint to corporate because there's no way this place should still be running. I am severely disappointed.

Lots of bacon lardons to give more depth to the pasta. Very tasty. The lamb is delicious, though the crust was a little salty for my taste. Ask for it to be medium rare + so you get the nice cool red. There are 6 lambchops served with a couscous salad and tzakiti. If you like lamb, get this. The roasted chicken is amazing. So so so good. Perfectly done with a side of kale and nice size croutons, crunchy and buttery. Ordered the dip appetizer and the pita is soft as a vessel to try 3 different dips - one is garlicky with breadcrumbs (it's more addicting than you think), feta with a roasted pepper and tzakiti. All tasty! Didn't leave room for dessert. Next time!

Black Cypress is known as the nicest restaurant in town so many people come here for celebration…read moremeals, but I typically stop by for their Monday happy hour (half price appetizers 5-7pm) and the goat cheese panna cotta. My favorite item on their appetizer menu is the cheese plate. I don't like crackers so I've started ordering it with some extra apple slices instead of the crackers. The goat cheese panna cotta itself is delicious but the best part is that the seasonal sides are amazing and change very frequently. It's a positive example of a dish never being exactly the same. I've always had great service at the bar. The only complaint I've heard was from a grad student we know who ordered multiple items and didn't realize they forgot his entree until everyone at the table was almost done eating. Thankfully the group had plenty to talk about so they didn't mind it being a long dinner. Finally... the drinks. The only regret I've had was ordering a beer when they have such a fantastic cocktail menu. I am a fan of their non alcoholic cocktails currently but I do enjoy occasionally ordering from the main menu.
