My wife and I went early evening and the place was fairly slow. The waiter was nice and I should have taken his advice about getting the steakhouse burger. But instead I got the brisket and chicken tenders with sweet potato fries and Mac and cheese. The brisket was dry and the only thing that made it edible was the bbq sauce. The chicken tenders came out cold and dry, like they had been sitting in a warmer all night. The fries were cold and gross, and the Mac and cheese was disappointing to say the least. Our server Ariel went over and beyond! Pot Pie was amazing as Ariel suggested. Ariel was our server at the bar and then ended up having us at one of her tables. She truly loves her job and you can tell. She made our experience that much better. I hope they know how lucky they are to have her. It's hard to find good help these days. I would highly recommend having dinner here and hopefully Ariel is your server. Can't wait to go back and see her and enjoy some more Chicken Pot Pie. This place is located in the island of pigeon Forge. You have to park like a block down from the island and you can ride the trolley back into the island. They have a lot of great options on the menu. We went with a steakhouse burger with Mac and cheese, buffalo chicken sandwich, chicken tenders with brisket and chicken pot pie. The steakhouse burger was delicious and the a1 sauce gave it a good taste. The Mac and cheese was okay I had better but okay. The sweet tea was very delicious especially on a hot day. The buffalo chicken sandwich was huge and it had a nice kick too it. The chicken pot pie was delicious needs a bit more chicken instead of peas but tasted great. The sweet potato fries came with a churro dipping sauce which was good but looked nasty when you dip and pull up. The chicken tenders and brisket was good. The brisket was really good and the chicken tenders are just tenders nothing special. The service was phenomenal and the older guy went beyond and above. We got there around 5pm. They were somewhat busy, but we were seated quickly and our drink order taken. Our server, Crystal, was very friendly and took good care of us. I ordered a Trapper Jack's Handcut Sirloin steak, mashed potatoes and mac-n-cheese. The smothered steak tips were also delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. I had a "Breakfast Juice" beer (New England IPA). It was pretty good. We also shared a slice of a very delicious Creme Brulee Cheesecake. We absolutely loved the cheesecake. They charged us for our club soda here, but we weren't charged at BullFish last night, waitress said it's different management styles here. All waitstaff have to charge for drinks, unless it's tap water or they will be fired, seems rather harsh The salmon and avocado salad looks exactly the same as the menu item from BullFish. I feel like having a salad again, why not. We order the timber chips to start, who doesn't like fried pickles with some jalapeño dip, jumbo wings, comes with 8 and a blackened salmon avocado. The cornbread muffins were good, even on their own. The whipped butter is also decent, not melted butter and hot cornbread muffins would be even better. The timber chips are quite good, light breading, fried pickles should always be chips and not as a spear. The jalapeño dip is good with the chips and goes so well together. The salmon avocado salad is slightly better than last night's at BullFish. The mushrooms are fresh and sautéed here. The jalapeños are still canned and double the amount of last night's salad too. The dressing is a balsamic vinaigrette, not bad. The salad was better than the one I had at BullFish. Food was decent, service was good. read more

This restaurant is located at the Island with multiple other businesses. The business is spacious with several tables, booths and a bar with mountain decor. We had to wait about 20-30 minutes for a table on a Thursday night. While we waited the hostess asked us if we wanted a menu to look at. Our waiter was nice and checked on when he could because he was working the bar as well. The restaurant gives you complimentary cornbread and butter when you arrive. It was good. I ended up ordering the fish and chips with coleslaw. The fish was huge, tender, seasoned well and fried to perfection. I had leftovers after I ate. I wasn't a fan of the tarter sauce that came with the fish. I asked for hot sauce instead and was given Tabasco sauce. The French fries were served hot and were not greasy. The coleslaw was better then ones that I've had at other restaurants. I would def order this dish again. read more

We were at first interested in going to another restaurant at the Island, but with everywhere else at a 1-2 hour wait, we decided to wait 30 minutes for Timberwood. It kind of reminds me of a Longhorn Steakhouse - food and atmosphere. I would recommend trying their Hillbilly Whine, a moonshine frozen cocktail. And as basic as it is, I ordered the chicken tenders - but very good tenders at that! The service was also incredibly quick for how busy it was. Timberwood Grill is great in my book! read more

Let me start by saying that this place is TOURIST CENTRAL. Come expecting that and you won't be horribly disappointed. That said, this place has great food! We've been twice now this year and had not only some pretty good nachos with pulled pork and jalapenos but also quite honestly some of the best wings from any place east of Nashville. The other group in our party shared a simply stunning looking steak and said it was delicious and well-seasoned. We had a boursin-cheese burger and it was fantastic! The only thing I can say, is that depending on your night and their mood, the bartenders (where we've sat twice), might give you very fickle/irritating service. The first time we went, our server/bartender was too busy doing everything else other than taking care of the customers at the bar. I get they are servicing the rest of the restaurant, but we were straight up ignored for about 15 minutes altogether when we were first seated and then it was like pulling teeth to get them to pay us any attention for refills, etc. during the meal. The second experience wasn't nearly as bad and our server/bartender was quite helpful and friendly. My daughter and I really enjoyed it. I had the smothered steak tips over her french fries instead of the mashed potatoes and it was really good comfort food. I also got some of the bison chili to try and it was really good but a little bit more spicy than I would normally do, but it was good. My daughter got fried shrimp and macaroni with a bowl of potato soup. She really enjoyed hers, but the macaroni blew her away. She loved it so much. Would've been 5 stars except my food was not the greatest. Great atmosphere, JR was an amazing server, and the steak my husband had was really good. Food presentation was good. Everything looked delicious. I got the grilled chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries. Food looked great, but I was expecting regular sweet potato fries-beware-they are super thin waffle fries! Mine were so hard and cold I asked for some more. They came out really hot and the few ones I managed to chew had good flavor. But they were super crispy to the point I couldn't chew them. They came with a really good marshmallow cream dipping sauce. If they were softer they would've been great! Chicken was barely hot and I couldn't even cut it with a steak knife. It did have good flavor and the BBQ sauce was very good. I would go back-but I'd order a burger like I started to and regular fries!
