This is my new favorite Thai spot in the East Bay!! The interior is super cute and modern (recently remodeled) and there's a convenient parking lot right behind the restaurant. What we ordered: - Fried chicken basil rice bowl w/ fried egg: SOOOO GOOD. Sweet, savory, perfect balance, and the portions are generous. This one's a must-order. - Pad Kee Mao: good! I wish the noodles were a bit chewier, but not bad at all. - Tom yum noodle soup: AMAZING. Genuinely one of my favorite dishes that I can never find done right, and this one nailed it. The broth is packed with flavor and the portions are massive. Get this. - Roti + curry sauce: Fine as an appetizer but wouldn't reorder. The roti wasn't as airy as I like and the curry sauce was thin and a little one-note. Skip and use your stomach real estate on something else. - Egg rolls: our friends ordered these and they just looked ok. - Mango sticky rice: One of the best I've ever had, no exaggeration. Incredibly soft, perfectly sweet sticky rice paired with the most ripe, juicy mangoes...and we went in May! Impressive. 5 stars!

Pad Thai is tasty. The BECK is a must order: crispy chicken. Calamari can be crispier, won't order again. Chicken wings are to die for. Service was quick. During lunch peak hours it can be slow. Nice expansion on the other side of the room. Bright and roomy. Will come again.

This Thai restaurant is located in the heart of downtown. There were plenty of parking. We decided to order take out. We ordered two orders of their popular Time Thai Fried Chicken, Pad Thai With Chicken, and the Pineapple Fried Rice With Pork. Our order was ready in about 20 minutes. The Time Thai Fried Chicken were crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. It came with sweet chili sauce. We didn't really use the sauce because the fried chicken itself was flavorful enough. However, it would have been nice if they trimmed off some of the chicken fat. The sauce for the Pad Thai was kind of sweet and had a little tang to it. The Pineapple Fried Rice With Pork was very flavorful and tasty.

The positives: We ordered the Green Curry with chicken, and the Pad Thai Fried Chicken. The pad Thai tasted fantastic and the chicken was incredibly crispy while being very tender. I loved the pad Thai fried chicken. For the green curry, most of the green curry tasted great with that savory and spicy balance that green curry normally has. The negatives: the potatoes in the green curry didn't seem cooked entirely. The two dishes were delivered to the table at totally different times. It made it so that my friend finished his food and then after he finished I began eating my pad thai. Because of these two doubles negatives I am lowering the rating by 2 stars. Would I try this place again? Yes, but I would specifically seek out a time when the place has lower traffic than Saturday evenings. I will say the place was quite lively. It didn't live up to my expectations entirely on the food, one shouldn't only make their flagship entrees in a stellar manner, but all the dishes should be stellar tasting. I forgot to take a photo of the green curry.

I simply love the food here! I always make sure to order Khao Soi soup. It is little expensive but the quality of food and taste tempts you to visit this place more often!

Time Thai Kitchen opened years ago where Legacy Thai Cuisine was. Infrastructure changed. New outside seating. New 2d room decorized. Main room has sparse seating, a flatscreen. No street parking. Small parking in rear. Watch for areas for permitted parking. Against the fence is a no no. Soft vocal music in background. Seated promptly when they opened. Ordered asap. Food came out in 18 minutes. deep fryer probably needed to be heated up. Offerings (Thai fusion): appetizers, drinks, specials, noodles, noodle soups, salads... Bites: Som Tum Set(19): fried chicken, sticky rice, salad, papaya salad. -sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf. nice taste. Ate a little. Forget to take it to go. Not a fan of rice. -papaya salad: shredded ripe papaya mixed with tomato bits, crushed peanuts, leeks, green beans. Fresh and crunchy. Lime juice added tartness. Garlic half cloves adds another layer of flava. 7 Fried chicken boneless pieces obviously marinated with herb & spices. Skin on thigh meat was consistently moist, tender, juicy. Had bone in versions elsewhere. Not so juicy-harder to control heat. The fried chicken here is a WINNER. A small serving of mixed greens with peanut dressing was amazing. 4.5 stars Worthy: YMMV. Quantity: reasonable, the "SET" allows one to taste many entrees. Quality: very good.

Pretty solid place. 3.5 stars so I'll round up to 4 stars. Pad Thai Fried Chicken was a nice combination. The pad Thai had solid flavors and the chicken was cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the sauce for the chicken - not too light, not too heavy, and just the right sweetness. The beer was so so. We also ordered regular pad Thai with pork and a pad see ew with chicken. In both of these dishes, the meats were over cooked and dry. Flavors were good though. Will come back but maybe order different items.

Everything was delicious. The deep fried dishes had the right amount of crispiness. The curry crab bomb was definitely the bomb. Servers were friendly and attentive. The space is bright and cozy. I highly recommend the place.

We needed lunch and we had the dog with us. So, either someplace that had outdoor seating that allowed dogs or else food to go, and we'd have to find a park. We found Time Thai on yelp, and it looked promising. We arrived toward the end of lunch and managed to snag a parking spot at the side of the restaurant across from the railroad tracks. There's outdoor seating on either side of the front door. One side was closed either for remodeling or because the sign was convenient. We went straight to the outdoor seating. There was a two-top and a four-top. We took the two top to ensure we had enough room for our food. Neither of us got a look inside the restaurant as a server came out, asked us how many and handed up menus. Ice water and set-ups were brought out. We had brought a bowl with us and poured in some ice water for the dog. I'm a huge fan of Roti with Yellow Curry. The reviews say nice things about the Fried Chicken so we knew we had to try that. Lastly, I wanted something with curry and veg. Roti w/ House Curry Sauce - 5 - Seemed like a smaller portion than we're used to, but the flavors and textures were spot on. There is nothing I would change about this dish, but I do wish I had thought to ask if they could make it with an egg turning it into Roti Telur. Coco Prawn w/ Brown Rice - 5 - All the flavors were excellent. The brown rice was the perfect accompaniment to the curry sauce. I ate all the rice served at the restaurant, but we also had brown rice already cooked at home and the leftovers went well with it. The prawns were nicely cleaned and cooked perfectly. Khao Yum Gai Zapp - 5 - had knock your socks off flavor! The only thing I may have changed was ordering Brown Rice instead of the rice that came with it. The food came out fairly quickly. Our server came and checked on us several times, making sure that we had enough water. This restaurant definitely earned a return visit. Maybe next time without the dog so we can see what the restaurant looks like inside.

I've been here quite a few times, and their flavors are always consistent and fresh. Even when I grab my order to go, it tastes just as good as if I had dined in. I always get the cashew chicken with white rice. Every. Single. Time. Honestly, I feel like I'd be cheating on my favorite meal if I ever tried something new because it's just that amazing. On this most recent visit, my husband came with me and ordered the Pad Thai with fried chicken, and we also shared the Thai chicken. I noticed they've expanded the restaurant, and it's now larger to accommodate more guests. Less waiting, more eating! They've also added their own restrooms for guests, which was very clean and a great addition to the new space. We also got a mango sticky rice to go and shared it with my son. The flavor and texture were so good that I now crave it whenever I want a sweet treat.

3.5 rounded to 4. First time here! Heard this place is popular so decided to stop by since we were in the area. They have a small parking lot in the back, which could fill up fast. The service was decent and we got our food in the a timely manner. I got the pad see ew and I thought the flavor was good but it could use some more eggs in it. The b.e.c.k. chicken sauce kinda tastes like costco teriyaki sauce. I tried my friend's pad thai and I didn't like it too much since I thought the flavor was too tomato-y. The khao soi was delicious and the sauce was flavorful and rich and would pair really well with rice as well!

    CRAB CURRY BOMB
    Aletta A.

Love. Ordered door dash delivery for the first time from here. The meals sounded so yum and interesting. I tried the crab curry bomb but ordered without the celery because i'm not a fan of celery on hot food. It was really good with nice crab flavor and the fried soft shell crab was a nice contrast texture to the egg and rice. And of course mango sticky rice is always a must when you get thai. that was also delicious.

First came to this spot 2 years ago. Returned for our anniversary dinner, and the food was just as good. Lots of renovations as they have expanded--which is very much appreciated. The service was excellent, and everyone was so nice. The decor and design of the restaurant is much more cohesive than it was 2 years ago. We ordered different dishes this time around, and we walked away just as satisfied. Can't wait to make this an annual tradition.

We started with the Finger Rolls, and they were hands down one of the best appetizers we've had. Definitely a must-order! We also ordered the Yellow Curry (medium spice), and let's just say both my fiancée and I were coughing from the heat--but that's exactly what I asked for! The spice didn't take away from the flavor at all. It was rich, comforting, and so good. I also tried the Lychee Martini, and it was fantastic! Just a heads-up, they don't serve hard liquor--only sake and wine--but they still have some great drink options. The restaurant was very clean, located in a safe area, and had a welcoming atmosphere. We enjoyed everything we ordered and are already looking forward to coming back to try more dishes. Highly recommend!

Integrated into downtown Hayward just a block from the theater and other eateries and drink spots, Khao Hom has made a strong impression in the local community drawing a good following for weekend brunch as well as weekday lunch. With street parking right in front as well as sharing free public parking in the lot behind the restaurant, once you've slogged through traffic to get to this area, you'll be able to easily park and venture in for your food experience. As you enter, you'll likely need to wait for one of their staff members to seat you in one of their two dining spaces. The rooms are well lit and enhance the ambiance of your meal (and photos) with natural lighting. When seated, you'll get their food and drinks menu in addition to finding their dessert menu at the table. As standard, each table gets a carafe of water for you to serve yourselves. Their menu is quite extensive in representing popular Thai flavors with a bit of flare. You'll find curries, soups, noodles and chef specialties in their own sections of the menu. They also have some alcohol infused drinks for those looking for a full brunch experience. As a novice to some Thai dishes, I did have to ask the staff to explain a bit about certain dishes, but there were a few that caught my eye and never let go. Thai tea - flavorful and bold; rich but not too sweet Matcha latte - rich matcha flavor and creamy; best sipped and can be packed in a to-go cup if you don't finish Tom yum crab omelet - beautifully crafted omurice-esque dish where you'll find white rice encased in an egg omelet topped with succulent pieces of crab meat and smothered in tom yum soup. This dish is not only a pleasure to look at but the taste and textures in each bite will have you salivating for more until the dish completely disappears. This unique take is a must get for first timers! Roti gai tod - crispy fried yet succulent chicken served with a small serving of creamy yellow curry, white rice, and a roti alongside their delicious chili sauce. Fantastic balance of textures and flavors will have your tongue dancing from the spices. Tom kha soup - a bowl of comfort with a whole lot of shredded chicken, red onions, and mushrooms with a few big quarters of fresh tomatoes. It's not as creamy as I would like but the flavor is there with its abundance in lemongrass. The portion is large as one order can easily split into two bowls. Fried ice cream - a meal topper and sweet indulgence for those looking to try something new and rarely found elsewhere. This giant meteorite of a breaded and fried ball of vanilla ice cream is topped with chocolate fudge, powdered sugar, a generous helping of whipped cream and plenty of fruit (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, grapes, and cantaloupe). Definitely shareable and a surprising star of their dessert menu - they could definitely do more to advertise this! The staff were super friendly and quick to take dirty dishes out of the way. They kept the place clean, served the food promptly and treated all of their customers with respect and smiles. Top notch crew from the front of the house to the back. Furthermore, should you need the restrooms, they do have two gender neutral rooms that were decently maintained. Overall, Khao Hom is not your everyday Thai restaurant nor is it your run of the mill brunch spot - this is a unique experience with food created out of passion to merge these together. The result is an aesthetically pleasing yet hunger extinguishing meal that will have you discovering new flavors and craving for more. With its proximity to the city center, it's a great a spot to plan out a lunch or brunch before a nice stroll around or a movie. Thai food has never looked and tasted so good!
