Horrible service. We were served by an older male server with glasses. We were not greeted when we walked in and he just told us to sit at a table. We had a toddler and he did not even bother to ask if we needed a high chair. Once he took our order, he just grabbed the menus from our hands without saying anything. During the meal, he did not check in with us once. When we paid our bill, he did not say thank you. While he was cleaning the table, he took our toddlers fork from our self-brought utensils. When I asked him for it, he found it from the dirty dish rack and gave it to me, without apologizing at all. The woman who sat next to us walked over to him and asked for to-go boxes. He was super rude and told her to sit down at the table. Every time when a customer waved at him, he asked the customer to wait for a minute, even though he had nothing to serve. He would never come to you the first time. He would just walk to an empty table and put dish or walk back to kitchen. This kind of service is absolutely unacceptable and I would never come back again. Aside from the horrible service, the food was not good comparing to previous visits (before the restaurant was expanded). The Khao Soi was my favorite, as it was a generous portion size and the soup, noodles, and veggies in it were so flavorful and complimented each other so well. The fried chicken was their specialty so I got a portion for the table and its texture and flavor were amazing. The pad see ew spice was incorporated with the noodles in a way I have never tasted before and it had just the right amount of kick to it (my server didn't ask to specify a spice level, so not sure what it was). The samosas and green curry were good, but the rest of the dishes were the highlight for me. The service was a good pace and it wasn't very busy on a Saturday night. I'm not a fan of fusion food as it is sometimes confusing to my tastebuds but this place makes it really work. We had the Pad Thai with fried (Katsu style but with Thai flavors) chicken on top. That was my favorite. We also had green curry, a solid preparation and the Crab Curry Bomb. I was hoping for more with the Crab but it certainly was NOT bad. While decent enough, the fried chicken wasn't particularly flavorful and definitely needed to be dressed up with condiments. I got the chicken as part of the Som Tum Set, which also came with a sour papaya salad and sticky rice. Next, the Mango Prawns Salad was a mixture of greens, mango, boiled prawns, and cashews in a sweet and sour chili lime dressing, all topped with crunchy wonton chips. The Khao Soi was a flavorful curry noodle soup with thin egg noodles, topped with sliced chicken thigh, pickled mustard greens, red onions, cilantro, lime, and crispy egg noodles. The best part of the Khao Soi was the flavorful, warm curry broth, which was nicely spiced. But my favorite dish of all was the Crab Curry Bomb, which came with a deep-fried soft-shell crab and a stir-fried mixture of lump crab meat, egg, milk, peppers, onions, and celery in a flavorful curry sauce! The stir-fry went perfectly with the mound of jasmine rice, and the soft-shell crab added the perfect crunch. Arrived around 6 pm on a Memorial Day Sunday where we just beat the rush and were seated immediately. My son and I ordered our beers and highly recommend the Lucky Chicken amber red ale made in Japan. Great taste and refreshing. All entrees that we ordered were very good but the only item that we would not order again is the Roti appetizer which are presented as tiny triangular pieces. Friday weekly outings with the girlfriend and it was her turn to pick this week. She chose time Thai kitchen as she was craving some good Thai food. What's nice about time Thai kitchen, there's a nice parking lot that's shared with a couple of other restaurants vs the rest of downtown that is mainly street parking. Walking up, we noticed a bit of a wait and a waitlist. Being 4 on the waitlist, we waited for about 15 mins. Seating inside was very comfortable as it's a small and quaint shop. We ordered the Tom yum soup, som tum salad, pad kee mao, and the bekp. Everything was very delicious and they do not joke about their spice levels too. Love Time Thai!! It's definitely our favorite Thai restaurant in the area. Every time we have come here, the food and service is great! The restaurant is relatively small with only about 5 or so tables so definitely not a great dine-in spot if you have a large group during peak dining hours (though it looks like they may be expanding into the space next door and recently opened a new Livermore location). Our recent lunch at Time Thai was a serendipity. When ordering Thai, we usually don't try new dishes but stick to the tried and true: that means Pad Thai, Panang Curry, and one appetizer. I have had Time Thai food many times and myself and my colleagues frequently order from them via food delivery service. This is the first time I decided to go in person and dine in. I visited on a Wednesday night around 7:30 pm. Restaurant had maybe two other guest. I looked at the menu, explained to my companion the dishes I've had and what I like from the menu. We also took a look at the drink menu and decided to have a beer. Our food arrived, we had our drinks first, then decided to have the dinner that was waiting for us. At approximately 8:30-ish the restaurant announced the last call for the kitchen. We received the check at 8:44, at that time my companion requested another beer but the server stated that it was already 8:45 and she wasn't serving anymore as they were closing in 15 minutes. We were kind of shocked as no other restaurant has ever refused to serve a drink because there were only 15 minutes left till closing. The music in the restaurant went off at 8:50, we at this point feel forced to leave even though we were not planning to stay longer. The only thing that delayed our stay was that no one came over to offer to go plates or pick payment. So I went in search of someone to provide me with to go containers and take payment for our dine in. Overall I was extremely displeased with the poor service. I will definitely share this experience with all my colleagues so they are aware of why I will not be supporting a local business that lacks in service. So only reason I gave this a 2 star rating is for the food. But the services deserves - stars! read more

Crispy exterior and tender interior. The only downside is that they don't come with enough sauce but definitely get these before your full meal comes. Duck Curry: 10/10 The duck came in abundance on top of the curry. The duck was tender, perfectly cooked and the curry was rich, flavor and filled with the right amount of spice. This used to be my top Thai spot in Tri Valley. I ordered beef noodle soup, duck with red curry and crab fried rice. The quality and taste definitely went down hill. The beef noodle soup beef briskets were dried and chewy, I can also taste it was burned. Duck meat with the red curry used to be their signature as they smoked the duck meat, but now tasted very bland, no smoke flavor and over cooked. This was a first at a Thai restaurant and on their special menu. This was enough to be a meal or to share. Fried chicken pad Thai- The pad Thai here is pretty good and plated well to look appetizing. I'm used to regular chicken pad Thai but this was a good switch up. I'd probably just do one fried chicken dish though. Beef panang curry with white rice- The Panang curry here was pretty good. Very mild and not super spicy. Beef was tender and veggies were crisp. I would prefer more veggies such as carrots and more red bell peppers. Strawberry lemonade- Refreshing but a little too sweet but it was good. Actual strawberries and not that artificial syrup.
