When I came by here for the first time a couple of days ago, I was almost deterred because there was quite a line in there and I had work in about 25 minutes. 10 minutes was enough to get through 5 customers! All I needed was to pierce an additional notch in my band, which was done free of charge! Seriously, don't hesitate to come here. I have been going here for years ever since I bought a fake rolex from mexico that had the same special back that a real rolex had making it imposible to get a new battery just anywhere. Nice guy, replaces your battery in about 10 seconds for $5. He also has a nice selection of some unique antique watches and clocks. I love to go in there and just look around. read more

One time I didn't have any cash and he told me just come back later! He adjusted my new watchband today even though at first glance he didn't think he had the right tools. He charged me nothing! $5 watch batteries, replaced while you wait. Even with a line, the 2 gentleman work fast. While you wait, there are dozens of different clocks to look at. It is like a mini-museum. All kinds of clocks from coo-coo to grandfather to Charlie Chaplain shaking his hips, there is always a clock I have never seen before. So whether it be a watch battery or an antique, this place has you covered. I can't imagine a clock they couldn't fix. They only accept CASH or CHECK and are closed from 3 on Saturday to Tuesday morning at 9. TU-FRI 9-5 and Sat-10-3. I have gone several times forgetting their schedule, but it is worth the drive back when they are open. read more

Based on other 5 start reviews, I brought 4 time pieces to Timekeepers - a wristwatch with missing crown, wristwatch with links that needed to be removed, and two non-working pocket watches. Within 5 minutes, they took links out of 1 wristwatch, told me 2nd wristwatch with missing crown wasn't worth repairing, installed new battery on one pocket watch, and diagnosed broken spring and damaged mechanism on 2nd pocket watch (price was $200 to repair and they recommended I keep it as an non-working keepsake). Total cost - $5 Too bad yelp doesn't allow you to give more than 5 stars, they are so deserving of their stellar reputation. read more

My new go-to for watch repair place. Went in to get a link replaced that fell out of my chronograph MK watch with a metal band. The man looked at it, basically said" hold on a minute", and not 2 minutes later hands me my repaired watch. When I asked "how much?" he answered "Nothing" with a smile. He also repaired a watch for an elderly couple in front of me, and charged them "Nothing" also. From that type of service, I will be back for all my repairs, and will refer clients to this business. 10 star. read more

Great service. Once I brought in an old Ronson lighter (that I disassembled myself) and asked if he could put it back together. He worked on it for days and couldn't manage to put it back together. He also passed it on to a college who also couldn't figure it out. When I went to pick it up he wouldn't take any money for his efforts. "No charge for bad news." he said. Hilarious. read more

Came here twice already, the first time to get a watch sized for me and the second time a few months later to get a second watch fixed. I thought the second watch had needed a new battery so I originally went in to purchase one but they just did something to it which got it running again. Best part of these visits was I was not charged either time! I was also in and out within 5-10min which was very convenient. Timekeepers in Encinitas replaced batteries in 9 of my watches last year, and all of the batteries failed within a week to 4 weeks. One died in 3 days. I went back to have some replaced last year and they died also. I went back today to revisit this issues and I had my Mom on the phone to tell her side as well for I had her watches done at the same time. Well they refused to replace any of the batteries and all of the batteries they installed were 5 years old or more, and that is why they failed. I use to love this place, but not so much anymore. I have also tried to get them to work on my Anonimo or Panerai watches in the past and they just laughed and said no, and yet the movements are very easy to work on because they are ETA movements, thus they are WATCH SNOBS, and I have heard the same things via some of my friends as well. He called me a liar in front of his customers and I told him that my Mom sat right next to your Dad on the airplane right before he passed away, and he was a good guy, and you guys took over his stock, so you must have been selling old batteries becaues I didn't come in here 5 years ago, and you know it. I have been a customer of theirs for decades and this has happened before but they always stood behind their word, but I won't ever come back anymroe and they will get nothing but bad word of mouth from me from here on out. They also dented the caseback on my favorite car club watch today and now I'm really upset for that can't be replaced or fixed. They could of offered to replace the batteries at a discount or something, but they didn't offer anything except for me to go and get a 2nd opinion. Buyer beware :-( read more
