We had to look several times because the meat was like confetti. No meat. We complained but nothing was done. I've been here several times but anytime anyone asks me to go, it's hard to say no. It has such a warm, welcoming, authentic atmosphere. The staff has always been great. Everything I've ever ordered has been (breakfast, lunch, dinner, apps and dessert) so good. I met my husband for lunch recently and we shared the Italian beef hot sandwich with au jus. It was so delicious! The bread on the roll was the perfect texture for your dry bites and your dipped bites. The meat paired perfectly with the au jus. The cheese and peppers didn't overpower either. We also shared a basket of fries, since the sandwiches didn't come with sides. The only thing is that the location itself is not a big space and so it's great for smaller groups but larger groups would require some planning ahead. Parking can be a little tricky which is why we usually go for lunch when it's a little quieter. read more

We dine here and we love the food so that isn't the issue. We come back for it frequently. However, the service this time was very unprofessional and quite rude. Our server was named Teresa. First of all, she forgot about us apparently and we weren't greeted for about 20 minutes. No water no hello. We probably sat down around 1:03 and didn't get acknowledged until after 1:20 because when she finally greeted us i asked if there was any way they could squeeze out one last breakfast item for my brother even though they stop serving at 1pm and she said "no we stopped at 1" and I proceeded to say really? Even though we've been sat for a while there's no way? And she said "well no you definitely haven't been sitting here since before 1" which in my opinion is incredibly rude seeing as though she'd left us sitting for at the very least 15 minutes or more without a greet. You'd think she'd want to make up for that in any way she could right? Nope. Anyways the really disappointing thing is that we also heard her talking poorly about our table to another server right behind us. It's sad that she had to talk badly about us in order to save her own a** from the fact that she was so late to even acknowledging us. She also charged us for a garlic cheese bread appetizer that we never ordered or received. We dine here a lot and i hope we don't have her as our server again. This was our 2nd time here. It was just as good as the first. The staff there is super friendly. We had multiple pizzas and pastas. The food is hot and fresh. The chicken Parm is my favorite. Huge servings so alway have left overs. Highly recommend Times Square - Deer Valley. read more

Went in with a party of 6 at 7pm on Sunday. Found parking in the lot. We were able to get seated right away. Our server greeted us and took our drink orders. Rude, Happy Father's day rude manager. We called in early around 9 am wanting a pick up at 11 am to see if we could get food to go. The first girl said let me get the manager. The manager she asked what are you thinking? We wanted 10 pastas to go. Her response was "We are to busy" She then hung up the phone. We had been going to that location 10 plus years. This is one of my absolute favorite, Italian restaurants in Phoenix, especially if you live in North Phoenix! It is a hole in a wall, in a shanty area, but don't be fooled by appearances, you must stop in! It's small, it may be crowded, it may take a little while, but it's worth the wait! Service is outstanding, the food is made from scratch, and everything on the menu is outstanding. Time's Square never disappoints. We come to Phoenix once or twice a hear and always make a point to eat here at least once, and twice if we can. The food is always wonderful and the service is great. The food & service are always great AT ALL OF THEIR LOCATIONS. I had the Calzone & loved the marinara sauce. It had a sweeter taste than normal and was a special treat. The entire menu is awesome. Went on 4/8/23 and the Cioppino as always is absolutely delicious. Large portions too, so always plenty for left overs. My friend had the Spaghetti ala bolognese and even w/ the generous portion, she left nothing on her plate. Guess she liked it! Fresh garlic was yummy. Could use more quality wines & a little update to the decor but overall, customer service was attentive and no complaints on the food. Not from Phoenix so I would never had known about this place without a friend. He's been coming for 20+ years. Gotta say, never had a better recommendation. Came here for Mother's Day. The prices aren't bad but the food isn't that great. We got the mozzarella to start with. It was good. My food and my moms was the only good one. I have been coming to this location for years, it is definitely my favorite Italian restaurant in the valley! On this visit, I ordered their Linguini Spinach, Pasta Giovanni, and Linguini Gamberetti with complimentary garlic bread. I'm not a huge fan of dairy so I appreciate that a majority of their pasta sauces are not heavy in cream or smothered with parmesan. My number one recommendation is the Pasta Giovanni, the sauce is divine, the pasta is cooked al dente, and the protein combination pairs well with the overall dish. The Linguini Spinach was light and on the healthier side with tender bits of chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and spinach. The Linguini Gamberetti is also a great option--classic tomato sauce pasta--with garlic, herbs, and shrimp. Service is always fast and friendly. I was not impressed with this restaurant which was disappointing due to it being family owned. It was pretty busy, but no one even acknowledged I was standing there waiting to be seated. I asked if I could seat myself at the bar, then had to grab my own menu. It took a good 10min for the bartender to get with me to get a drink order in. She didn't even acknowledge me until I asked the hostess for a water. I order fettuccine Alfredo, which is a popular menu item. I was not impressed. It lacked flavor. I'd heard a ton about this place and finally wandered in (pro tip: they accept reservations for groups of 5 or more). Very non-descript building and not at all pretentious (nor are the other diners). Service is salty which was nice. When we asked for a couple of extra sets of silverware, Theresa wasn't too happy, but I loved the authenticity. And more importantly? She kept our drinks refilled and was efficient with having to serve so many tables. The calamari is skippable. The wings were nice. The clam pasta was appealing. The New York combo pizza is the BOMB. And that's the point, isn't it? One of our diners was from Jersey and she affirmed, "Yup, this is East Coast pizza!" We all loved it. Is it worth coming out of your way to try Times Square? Probably not. But if you're in the neighborhood (and Deer Valley is getting busier than ever these days), definitely stop in. You won't regret it! read more

We've been coming to this Times Square location for several months. We took a break for about 2 months because the last time we got pizza here the dough was completely undercooked and unacceptable. He was so bad I couldn't even fathom coming back anytime soon because I totally lost my taste for even wanting to try the pizza as a result of that bad experience. Friday, December 2nd we decided to give it a try to see if things had improved. Placed an order for a large pepperoni and mushroom pizza and specifically told the girl on the phone to cook it well done and pointed out that the last time we had ordered a pizza there the middle was soggy soap to please be sure that it was thoroughly cooked. Unfortunately when we arrived to pick up the pizza to-go it was the same sad result, the middle was completely undercooked and we had to even ask them to go back and put it in the oven to finish baking. Several minutes later the pizza came out, took it home, took it out of the box and well look at the pictures posted, the middle was still soggy and completely undercooked! This is a photo of my Cheese Steak Special that I ordered and took home recently. I really don't need to write too much about what the problem was based on the photographs I have put up here, they are self explanatory. This sandwich is supposed to have thinly sliced beef, mushrooms, peppers and onions. I found one mushroom count them... one! It really didn't matter because after picking up the sandwich and looking at the bottom of it and seeing how burnt the bread was, it didn't really matter how bad the rest of the sandwich was constructed and lacked the ingredients that were SUPPOSED to be on the sandwich. By the time I sliced off the burnt crust, I had NO bread left and had to eat my "sandwich" with no bread. This presented me the opportunity to see how little of the ingredients were actually included inside. I just clearly don't understand how a chef or anyone in the kitchen staff prepares this sandwich and lets it leave the restaurant with this sort of quality. WOW!!!!! I am 100% a supporter of local, small restaurants but you have to take accountability for the quality of what is being prepped and presented to customers who are paying for a meal that is edible. There is absoluttely NO EXCUSE for letting something like this leave the kitchen - EVER! read more

Our party of 4 enjoyed a delicious dinner here for the 2nd time in the last 3 months. Every item ordered, from the veal scallopini to the Minestrone soup, the Mediterranean salad to the Cioppino was delicious and served with care. The Italian bread was hot and garlicky, the warm from the oven brownie was chocolate and gooey and big enough for the 4 of us to enjoy. We were seated promptly and served with the same speed. Times Square feels like a neighborhood gathering place, with excellent service and a menu with plenty of options to please even the pickiest of eaters. Just an update for this wonderful restaurant. They have a new dish, pasta Giovanni which is sooo good. My son got this dish and raved about how fantastic it is. My partner and I, came to times square a couple of nights ago for dinner and almost immediately after walking in, what i assume was the manager was yelling at the hostess and speaking to her in an awful manner. As someone who works in the service industry, this automatically affected the atmosphere for us. After she sat us, our server came over pretty quickly and brought us our drinks. The server was super nice and stayed on top of everything while we were here. But again, while we were waiting for our food, we saw the manager once again with an attitude behind us about being the one to clean off the tables. I will admit that the environment in general seemed to be very hostile and a lot of the staff were seemingly uncomfortable. Sucks because the food was really good and this place is no more than 5 minutes from us but the hostile atmosphere alone is enough to stray people away. read more
