Might be time for new management, we ordered sweet potato fries and there was a hair in them. When we mentioned it to our server he said he was very sorry. When the manager came to ask us about the fries he first said "I heard you had a problem with your fries" we said yeah there was a hair in them but it's no big deal we just wanted to make you aware of the situation. He says "oh what color was the hair? Cause none of our cooks have long hair. I'm thinking it might have been one of yours" Really? I have never in my 39 years been to any food establishment that has not had the manager apologize and ask to replace the food with no question let alone accuse the customer for any reason. From the outside looking in, the place looks exactly as you'd expect a modern sports bar type establishment to look. It's nice a clean inside, and still has that "new restaurant" scent. Myself, and three colleagues, opted to order lunch from Timothy's, despite another co-worker having a very bad dining experience the night before. When we called, we were initially told they didn't do take out (though upon checking with the back, they were able to accommodate). Not a big deal, and something I'll chalk up to them being new. We placed the order: French Dip, Two of the grilled cheese, and seared mozzarella. We were told no to the mozzarella and grilled cheese. The statement, "We don't make those, we just haven't updated our menu yet." Having an accurate menu for a new establishment should be rule number 1. That was very upsetting, however thus is life. Instead, a pizza, quesadilla and cheesesteak egg rolls were subbed in. The pizza was given a 3/10 by the individual who ordered it. Over cooked, lacking flavor and generally disappointing. The Quasadilla was given a more favorable review. It was deemed tasty and safe. Nothing stood out, but nothing negative. Positive things were spoken of the sauces that went along with it. She would order again. The Egg Rolls were pretty solid. They're standard cheesesteak egg-roll fare, but on the better end of those I've had in the area. The spicy ketchup was a bit too runny for my liking; but I imagine those who like that type of product will love it. It had plenty of kick and flavor. I would get the egg rolls again, but order regular ketchup. The French Dip (with au jus on the side) was said to be really good. It looked exactly as it would in an advertisement. That was the stand out item. I do have to ask, why would you offer a french dip and not include au jus for dipping? That just seems like a sin. I did want to note the hostess was great. She was very polite and ensured that I had everything I needed. It was one of those instances where you knew she cared and wanted me to have a positive experience. It was enough of an impact that I thought about it after I left. So, the big question..."Would we return?" The answer is yes, but not an overwhelming or resounding yes. As a take-out option, it's decent. If I'm hungry for the items on their menu, I'd gladly choose this opposed to Applebee's. I think the real pull for Timothy's (For me at least, a 34 year old guy) is happy hour with co-workers. They have a very solid selection of beer, and plenty of appropriate seating. Horrible horrible horrible service experience at Timothy's tonight. Waited 45 minutes past our quoted wait time w/out of town guests and our 1 year old. Once we were finally seated, another 45 minutes went by before I had to leave my husband and our guests behind to wait for our food while I took my hungry and tired one year old home. When they asked to have the food boxed to go, the check was dropped immediately but the food took another 15 minutes. At least 2 managers were aware of the situation, not one table touch. Not one apology. Not one effort to rectify our terrible experience. We arrived at the restaurant at 5:30. At 9:30 I was finally able to sit down, at home, to eat my cold turkey burger. This is one hangry customer who won't be back and won't be recommending Timothy's to friends and neighbors. Just awful! read more

Our server was really nice and this review is not a reflection of her service. I ordered the Rosemary and garlic chicken entree and when it was served, I cut into it and it was raw and bloody. I sent it back, only to receive another raw, bloody piece of chicken. And they didn't even take it off our bill! We will not be coming back. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I've been a waitress for 10 years now. This was absolutely the worst service I've ever receieved. This was our first time visiting the establishment. The waitress (Kelly S) was the worst waitress I've ever had. There was literally only one other table in the place and it wasn't hers. It took her a while to come to our table then when she finally did she didn't know what was on draft and this was due to us putting our order in, my fiance ordered a drink and she had to check if they had it. Please understand she came to our table drop chips and waters off said shell be back (took literally like 6 minutes until i looked over and she was hanging out at the bar talking) then she asked for the drink order, didnt know what was on draft and this took forever. They ended up having his but not mine. This whole process of getting just our drinks took 23 minutes!!!!! Literally. Because she came to our table like 4 different times. We attempt to place our order, while we are placing it they were out of a total of 4 of the items we wanted and there was only three of us. One being the mozzarella fritta.... how are you out of mozzarella sticks. We asked for a minute. We decided we didn't want to give this establishment our money so we asked for the check which included two beers and one soda. The check came with 3 beers (including the one they didn't have) and one soda. Not that long of a receipt to review. We told her she gave a lame apology and came back. From some of the reviews here we must of gotten lucky for lunch. The service was good, but there were very few people in the place. The sweet and sassy chile was a little sweeter than sassy, but it was fine and came out hot. The fish taco's were good and came with 2 sides. The fried pickles were the only thing that could have been better. Large portion, but a little on the soggy side. Very good addition to the neighborhood. Nice set up, nice big bar, promising patio for when it gets warmer out. The private party room also looked spacious and nice. TVs everywhere all tuned to different sports. The menu wasn't vast, not sure if this will be their set menu or if they are still in their "soft opening" phase, but good choices still. I had the Timothy's Burger, cooked perfectly, not greasy, but still flavorful. The onion rings were $2 extra and totally worth it. My husband got the filet and it was surprisingly good for a non-steakhouse. My mother got the salmon which was also very tasty. My 4 and 6 year olds were happy with the kids menu choices and happily age the pizza and chicken tenders. We also had a variety of the regular and boneless wings for apps...I was pleasantly surprised by the "Love Stout" sauce. My only complaint was we didn't get our bar drinks till we were already done with our apps and than waited a pretty long time for entrees. I chalk it up to the kinks still being worked out. We rented the Lionville Hall at Timothy's in Lionville, PA. This event was a luncheon for those family and friends that attended the funeral service for my sister. The facility was nice and accommodating for the roughly 60-70 guests that we had attend. Unfortunately, the facility was about the only aspect to this event that was decent. I felt compelled to write this review because I believe my family was mistreated in several ways by the management and staff at this Timothy's location. Here are just a few of the "low-lights" of an event that was held to honor my sister. * Manager on-site (dark hair, glasses, goatee/beard - do not know his name) never once introduced himself to me or others within my family and never once thanked me for holding our luncheon there. * $139.30 for "unlimited soda" that was never offered to any of the tables. We had several guests who actually paid for soft drinks at the bar. Only water on tables. * Under 21 people asked for a soda and was told by a waitress that "soda was not included". * Salad was very small. Lettuce spread sparingly across the plate, one cucumber and one cherry tomato. * Food was often cold. Beef tips were fatty and extremely chewy - almost inedible and a choking hazard. * Ran out of chicken. I asked the waitress if more was coming as people were lined up for food. Was snapped at with, "IT'S COMING". Three minutes later, more vegetables were brought out, but no chicken. More chicken arrived more than five minutes later. * Two maybe three waitresses for roughly 60-70 guests. Simply not enough staff. * Paid for the facility until 4:30 pm. Staff was removing linens from the tables at 3:15 pm and we still had guests there. * Asked the manager if we could have boxes to take home leftovers that we paid for. Was told, "by law we cannot allow you to take leftovers". Huh?? If I ate with my family in your restaurant, I can take my uneaten leftovers with me. This makes no sense. * A family member called and spoke to manager Scott Griffith on 3/25 about all the issues and how unhappy we were with what happened after dropping $1600 on this event - hoping to get something in return (possibly a refund). Scott's response was, "thank you for your feedback. Will try to do better". Never once asked for my family's member's name or contact information. WOW! Never again will I be eating at this place and will surely be spreading the word about this abysmal service and establishment. Extremely poor service. Completely disappointed. read more

Came in for the first time today. Got the nachos and fried pickles. Nachos were cemented to the tray. Chips were burnt, cheese overdone and gummy. Nothing I couldn't make at home in my microwave for a few dollars. Fried pickles were plain and limp. They tasted of burnt oil. Service was intermittent and not very engaged. Food was delivered by sliding the food towards us, spilling the salsa all over the table. No sorry was given as well as no attempt to tidy it up. Will not be coming back. read more

The new management is doing a great job at adding a few new items to the menu, but keeping their staples. The food is excellent. My favorite is the Southwest Salad and Southwest Quesadilla. The setup is perfect. There is an outside eating area, large open bar and open restaurant. It is a nice place to grab a drink or bring your kids for dinner! Lastly, I enjoy their entertainment. Went in for dinner last week with a friend. Interior is nice, clean, not too loud and seemed fairly busy for a Wednesday night. Our waitress was friendly and attentive - forgot our appetizer but since it didn't come out on the bill neither of us made a fuss. The majority of my problem was with the food. It's just not that great. I had the turkey burger which was supposed to have pepper jack cheese and avocado. Mine arrived with American (?) and one of the smallest slices of avocado I've ever seen. I actually thought they forgot about it since I had to look for it under the lettuce. My friend had the crab-cake burger which she said was okay, she asked for it plain and it came with all of the fixings. Overall it was okay but probably won't be back for a while. read more

If the outdoor seating area was busy I could understand but there are 6 tables of people. Service is so slow about to get up and leave. My husband and I come every week and we are never disappointed. We always get either the Shrimp Quesadilla and Guacamole, onion rings which are the best I've ever had before with a side of their homemade ranch dressing, one of their great burgers or their incredibly delicious pork sandwich. On 3/29 my husband and I came here for dinner with our 1 year old son . We asked to sit outside because it was a nice day . The table we were seated at was not anything close to sturdy to the point that the one side wasn't even touching the ground . We waited like 7 minutes before anyone came to the table to get our drink orders and at that time we asked to switch tables . We ordered our food which was very good but after the orders were placed we never saw the waitress again . Someone else had brought us the food and offered us refills since she had failed to do so . She finally had come over about 10 minutes after receiving our dinner and asked if we needed anything . At this point we were almost finished . It was starting to get chilly out and we hadn't seen our waitress in well over 10 minutes so I told my husband to take my son to the car and I would wait to pay . After waiting 10 more minutes by myself at the table I finally grabbed another waitress to ask if she could find where mine was ! 5 minutes later she came out and I asked her for the check and box and showed her the 15% off for checking in on yelp . She said sh wasn't sure how to do it but she would try. I told her if she couldn't figure it out just to forget about it because I had already wasted so much of my time waiting. She came back with the check she was able to figure it out and forgot my box . So she said she would box it up for me . This was honestly the worse service I have ever received. I had an issue about a year ago here and we have been back twice since to Give another chance .I am only giving 2 stars because our food was very good and came out in a timely manner. read more

OUTSTANDING! We has a group of about 20-25 softball Gorls, parents and sibling arrive at 6:30 on a Saturday night. The other customers were nice and friendly, the hostess went out of her way to get is extra kids menus. Our waitress handled our group seamlessly. Any errors in ordering were quickly corrected. New bartender kid, didn't introduce himself, but told us all about his life, his Christmas with his family, his age, what they ate for Christmas breakfast and dinner. We ordered $5 vodka and soda...which had a tiny spalsh vodka (like a one count) in it so we switched to beer and both bottles were warm and foamed over when he opened them. I asked for a water and the soda gun was on the floor and he didn't wipe or clean it b4 pouring the water or any of the other "three" patrons drinks from it. I always knew this place was inconsistent and other than a few items the food is usually awful. The manager or owner doesn't help unless asked and just sits there like everything is ok, I have never seen anything like it. We love a few of the bartenders that actually stuck around (all the other good bartenders all left) but WTF, this place is a disgrace to the neighborhood. Here over the 4th visiting family. Sat on the patio, which was fabulous atmosphere, but small. They have a large section of their patio designated to lounging and firepit, which is great but considering we had to wait for a table, didn't make a lot of design $en$e. Table of 6. 2 children. Hostesses at this time, were grumpy. Didn't offer kids menus and they are 5 y/o. Service was mediocre. Poor girl tried to keep up but we think they loaded her with tables on patio and then inside, by the bar too, which was eventually a downfall to our overall experience. Seafood chowder is wonderful! However, served lukewarm. We wanted to send it back for reheat but by the time we saw the server again, the main courses were delivered. The food runners were snappy when we pointed out the incorrect salad and burger were delivered. Didn't need to be this way really. It was no one's fault. Obviously, understaffed. The crabcake sandwich is awful! Downright terrible. It's a patty of moosh. Our nephew, who ordered it, referred to it as a crapcake, and the adults had to agree. There was nothing crab about it. The cheese fondue app is merely a crock of cheese and it's a dip, not fondue. There's nothing fondue about it. Fondue is meant to be kept over heat. Not here. Fail on this one. The nachos, however, are out of this world! Large portion, sharing worthy. Must mention, that there is nothing on the menu for vegetarians. Not even a veggie burger; which in today's dining society, this is a must! We were excited to have a new restaurant in town and visited them today for lunch. The service was outstanding, but unfortunately the food was only OK. We ordered the nachos which were much the same as you find elsewhere (a big pile of chips with all the good stuff on the very top layer), a cheesesteak, and rosemary chicken. The cheesesteak was fine, but the rosemary chicken and side of potatoes wasn't anything to write home about - I wouldn't get it again. We might try them again in the future to give their burgers a try to see if they're a keeper or not. read more
