I ordered a passion fruit margarita, but it didn't taste like passion fruit at all. More tart than sweet. I didn't love the flavor, but I will say the bartender was definitely not stingy with the liquor. My friend ordered a Bahama Mama and had no complaints. I'm not a big seafood person, but I do love wings, and that's where Crafty Crab won me over. I ordered the 10 piece sweet chili wings, all flats, for $10.99, which alone is enough to bring me back. The wings were hot, fresh, and flavorful. My friends also enjoyed their lemon pepper wings and drinks. We originally came because we heard they used to have karaoke on Thursdays, which would have been perfect for the size of the venue. When I asked the waitress about it, she said she didn't know why they stopped. That's unfortunate because this place has so much potential. It's a large venue with good wings and cheap drinks, they're really just missing a vibe. Even playing music through the speakers would make a huge difference. Overall, I'd return for the wings and drink specials, but I hope they bring some energy back to the space. Based on this experience l'd give it a 3.5

Both visits were for birthdays---the first was mine, when I happened to mention to our server that we were celebrating my birthday and she helped make the experience great. She then exclaimed, "You should have told me it was your birthday! We'll give you a dessert. Would you like to take it home?" Which I did, and the Seven Layer Chocolate Cake was thoroughly enjoyed for breakfast on two different days. I still can't get over the fudge layers in the sponge sandwiched by a light, creamy chocolate mousse. The plated cake was much cuter and better dressed with surrounding raspberry sauce instead of it being in a takeout cup, but the divine tastes of that cake are unchanged. Seeing that the majority of their locations are in the north, with the southernmost locations before Florida being Virginia and South Carolina, I feel lucky that we have a location in South Florida (and a second in Boca Raton). The hostesses are friendly, as well as the servers, and each one asks about allergies in the party. I saw on their website that they have a commitment to accommodating food allergies and a protocol for communicating allergies to the staff and kitchen. The most recent visit started with us repeating allergies to our server after telling our hostess, as he wasn't informed of them. It never hurts to confirm that everyone is on the same page but it was a little odd. I'm not sure what those purple allergy cards are supposed to do if they're not written on. However, like I mentioned, they are really serious about food allergies. When we were placing orders, our server would tell us whether there were allergens in the dishes we mentioned. Our server during my first visit even went back to the kitchen to check whether there were eggs in a sauce that were in one of the dishes we were interested in, without being asked. The inside is clean, beautiful and well lit, and the bar is spacious with plenty of screens if you're able to make it in for their happy hour at the bar from 3-6 PM on Mondays-Fridays. We had the guacamole and chips ($9), which had a surprisingly generous portion of genuine guacamole to the point where we ate all of the white and blue tortilla chips that came with it. I asked our bartender if we could get more chips by any chance, and another bartender heard and went straight to the kitchen and came out with a bowl of warmed tortilla chips. I had an Old Fashioned, which was slightly sweeter than I'm used to, but still having great citrus aromas. I recommend having a cocktail on happy hour as they are typically $15-17 on the regular menu while they are $10 during happy hour. For dinner during my second visit, we were seated in a lounge appearing area to the left of the entrance with long couches for the booth seats and an unfinished cut of wood table. Let me tell you about the food before I run out of space! Bread service: I know it's weird to have to pay for bread, but that's the restaurant world we live in. It's worth the $5 to get warm, fluffy bread dressed with everything seasoning and coming with herbed butter, pesto and an olive tapenade, all a choose-your-own-bread-adventure sampler. You can tell nothing on the plate came out of a jar. Philly cheesesteak rolls: Everyone can eat all 3 of the rolls that come in this dish along with the crispy onion rings that come on top of them. Resist the urge and share the tender beef and gooey cheese inside of these rolls. NY strip: Tender, well grilled and seasoned, accompanied by tasty green beans and mashed potatoes made with just the right amount of butter where you taste more potato than butter or cream. Crab crusted haddock: A generous portion of flaky, slightly buttery haddock with an aromatic crab cake on top. We loved the jasmine rice that came with it, from the degree of cooked to a little oil covering. Lobster roll: It was a summer limited item until August 31, and I'm sorry to say it was perfectly buttered, toasted and brimming with plump lobster meat. You were able to get it cold with a cole slaw, but a hot roll is definitely the move. Did I convince you to go try their food? If not, read this again. I'll see you there.

No More Today. I had fun eating at Tin Fish . Yum Yum . It's was aboustly Great. You have one in California you must tackle that word great. Signore Chef J. Randy took my picture . Never recognize me in curls cut too my shoulders blondie. I had the Fresh Flounder stuff with Crab and vegetables.the rice was good too. I like the spice on the rice. Al Asked me if I wanted to sit at the Bar. No not in this weird world .I once pulled into Cheesecake factory in Sawgrass . I was talking to a Toddler. They put the computer thing infront of her .A weird guy takes a seat but me. I used some tone on him. I said why are you sitting there . A significant other is in the bathroom. Lol I asked for check. Despite all the positive word of mouth I was not impressed with Tin Fish. Fish sandwich was nothing special. Clam strips were ok, but not what you would expect at a fresh seafood place and the sauce was horrible. The biggest disappointment was the cocktail sauce. I asked for an extra one for my clams, as I do at every restaurant, and was charged extra for it. Looked on the menu later after the fact and it was listed on the menu, though I didn't know beforehand b/c when you order your not looking at the menu to see if a side of sauce with your clams cost extra. Usually your not thinking your getting charged extra for extra cocktail sauce. Besides that I asked for the sauce when the clams came to the table, before I tried the sauce. The sauce taste was horrible. It was the worst cocktail sauce I've ever had. I'm not sure what they do different here, but it was not like the sauce you get anywhere else and that's not for the better. If I had tasted it before asking for another I wouldn't have even asked in the first place. It wasn't that much extra, but I feel that's a really classless move charging for an extra tiny little thing of cocktail sauce, especially when it ain't good and don't taste like cocktail sauce normally does. read more

The most amazing Seafood in South Florida. The seafood is always made fresh made to order. You have to try the stuff Lobster it's to die for. And the sauces OMG homemade tartar sauce hot sauce and more. You will not be disappointed bring the whole family. You're going to get five star quality food at a down-to-earth Homestyle restaurant. Hats off to the chef. oh in the clam chowder and lobster bisque I promise you you will not find a more creamy and delicious soup anywhere believe me I've shopped around at different restaurants. The potatoes in the soup are soft but not mushy the claim has an excellent fresh taste in the thickness is just right. The best part is that since they shop local getting fish from South Florida filleting it right in the restaurant cooking it and serving it to you comma you never get a fishy smell or taste. And I forgot to mention the live entertainment was absolutely excellent great voice singing a mix of old-school and pop tunes perfectly went with the unique decor all around the restaurant. I can't express how EXCITED I am about Tin Fish!!! We saw it as hot and new here on Yelp nearby and as a fish obsessed girl we were quick to try. They just had grand opening last week so very new. Okay the food! First of all, it meets all my best requirements: quick, cheap, casual and YUM!!!! they have a ton of fish options. The hush puppies were the yummiest fried pieces of bread I've ever eaten. Served with honey butter and wow just wow. My husband had the kaboom shrimp and said it was 100000x better than Bonefish's. Then i decided to go with their famous fish sandwich plate and it did not disappoint! bread was super soft, their tartar sauce is perfection and the fish was perfectly lightly fried and sooooo soft, flakey and perfect! love that they have crinkle fries - very hard to find around here! I was way too full for dessert but it looked good. The staff is soooo friendly!!! the manager said we could special order any fish we ever want, or crab anything just give him a few days notice. Unfortunately this time around was not a good experience. The whole fish made to order took 1.5 hrs to receive after ordering. The simple smoked fish dip took an hour to be served on a slow Monday night. Arrived at 6:45 pm. Departed almost 3 hours later. The owner / Chef was not on premises and all the staff had was excuses about tickets in the kitchen. They thought comping a drink and a dessert would satisfy us. We were the last to leave and had. No appetite anymore for any dessert. The manager tried to fix the problem with a gift certificate. However the damage was done. It was not worth waiting 1.5 hrs for a baked fish with no sides for $50. I could have went home and cooked it and brought it back. Nothing to rave about at all. Not returning. I was driving by and on my way into Doris, I stopped to get a Togo menu. The host Kirsten told me we were on a wait so I put my name on the list and finished up at Doris. My wife had left her pills at home, so I left her at the table and ran home real fast to get her those. While I was gone, our server, Cassandra, sat with her and spoke to her about all the specials that you all had tonight as well as kept her company while I was gone, she made us feel like family. When I got back she explained it again so that I could hear them... And bam!!! She sold us on our 2.5 lb Red snapper with the Asian sauce!! It was delicious. My name is adam I'm here to say I love Tin Fish in a major way!!! A place like this was needed in our area and we got it, affordable seafood with a local restaurant feel.. My wife and I ordered the hush puppies, corn bread, kaboom shrimp to start our meal off. Hush puppies and corn bread were both very good. If you like the dynamite shrimp from bonefish grill you will love the kaboom shrimp from Tin Fish.. For my entree I had the white fish and shrimp platter Amazing!!!!! My wife had the fish sandwich same thing amazing. The staff was very friendly, Eli the manager was a super nice guy. I recommend this place to everyone!!! read more

The service, though, felt a little off. The waitress wasn't all that welcoming and didn't seem to know the menu well, which made ordering more of a hassle than it should've been. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but it definitely took away from the experience. If you're in the area and just want good seafood, it's worth a stop. I have always liked Tin Fish. It's casual, pricey and so worth it. The food is always fresh and perfectly prepared. My friend and I split the day's special--Yellow Tail Snapper DEEP FRIED. We ate like vultures, even the skin. Our server, Marcy, opened the fish on each side for us. She gave us a taste of soup to try. My friend loved the soup and I had their delicious Caesar salad. This charming spot is perfect for a date night or a gathering with friends. The service is always on point, and the food arrives hot and promptly after ordering. Terrible service. Waited 15 minutes after being seated with no server and had to approach hostess for drinks. An hour and half later, we still did not have entrees and had to leave for a concert. The amazing thing is the server didn't care and no management staff could be found. We left hungry and entirely dissatisfied. I will NEVER go back. read more

The quality of the food and service is determined on if the Joe the owner is there. Case in point: Went in for dinner and there was a beautiful flounder on the ice bar. I asked if I could order it for dinner. The reply was that flounder was the lunch special. I said no big deal I'll just have it sautéed in butter, I'll pay market price for it. read more

Walked in and the layout is nice, the decor feels like a blend of 80's Miami vibes going for elegance. Looks better in pictures but still works in real life. We were greeted right away, host brought us to the wrong part of the restaurant first then brought us back to where we were supposed to sit. Server showed up quick enough and was very nice. Asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. We said we just want regular water, they brought out two bottles of Evian ($10 a pop) we were a party of 6. He took our drink orders, the drinks did take a while. The bread came out and most of really liked the bread, it was like Hawaiian rolls with some butter and Parmesan cheese. One in our party wasn't a fan. But don't listen to her they were good haha. Our appetizers were good, bao buns, cracked conch, chicken wings. Here is where the stars dropped a little more. They dropped partially for time the drinks took and the bottled water. But we looked through the menu which is not authentic Italian. It's a blend of Italian dishes, Jamaican dishes, Haitian dishes (that's not what dropped the stars) the prices for the items. Some dishes were reasonably priced, others were highly over priced. My wife got Alfredo pasta at $24 and added the lobster. They were generous with the lobster and only charged an extra $20 for it. I got the Rasta pasta $24 and added chicken $6 The Alfredo was fine, the lobster was good. My pasta however was all over the place. The pasta was completely overcooked so it was a little mushy, the peppers and onions were thrown in at the end so they were uncooked. The chicken was a little dried out and the jerk wasn't hot. The sauce did have a good taste, I did eat it all and I didn't not complain about it. It's a dish I would try again but if it came out like that again I'd send it back. Our friends got the scampi pasta and it was good they said. One got lobster and mashed potatoes $65, another got the salmon $42which she woofed down. One issue we had at the table involved the music. When someone is celebrating a birthday the dj jams a birthday song a louder volume, but he does the entire song and then doesn't turn the music back down to a regular level. So people had to ask a few times to turn the music back down so we could all hear ourselves. So here is the overall The restaurant is in a nice spot It's decorated nicely The staff was very pleasant (could use some improvements) Food all had good flavor (but quality control needs to be worked on) Prices are pushing it Would we go again? Yes. Would we recommend it to others? Yes. I wish them a bunch of continued success. One last thing that we didn't like. Our server mentioned to us when he dropped the checks that a service charge was included. I'm used to that, but what got me was he said part of it goes to the restaurant some of it goes to me, so it's not actually a tip and there is an additional tip line if you'd like to add something. Unless it's a banquet, the restaurant should not receive any of the service charge. That should go to the server and the regular tip out to their bartenders and bussers as is normal should be the way it is. The house should not get any part of it.
