Very good! Despite the number of thai places, there's always a little difference with each. Some can be due to the region. This place is new and remodeled. Now it had a good area of outside seating and the owner said for colder days, there will be outdoor heaters. A huge plus for me, it's one of the only places that have roti which is what initially pulled me in lol. I had it plain, and it was so good, flakey and thin. Tom Kah was really creamy and savory, the way I like it and the eggplant was the right consistency and not overrun with other veggies. Mango and sticky rice dessert was good, a little sweet for my taste but the mango was perfect. Thai tea can be made with coconut milk or half and half. Dude. I've had real Thai so few times since leaving Thailand. This is not the fault of most places... it's just hard to get the real ingredients. This place rocks. It will shock you if you know what you're looking for. The Tom Kha was spot on, and very generously sized - lots of prawns. My wife had the pumpkin curry - awesome. They've got Thai beers too. Absolutely phenomenal. If I am in the mood for takeout in Anacortes this is a no brainer for me and I come here constantly. Their pad thai is obviously the staple and is a fantastic rendition. I would put it up against any pad thai I've ever had. Recently I've been getting the kra pow gai kai dow a lot and this too is always a great choice. It's a chicken dish with peppers topped with a fried egg that is very savory. The egg really brings the whole dish together. Overall, can't recommend this place highly enough. Tin House has excellent Thai food! I like that they seem to be consistent, which some restaurants are not. They're fast and friendly service is great! Also, they are in the midst of building an outdoor dining area, which here in Anacortes isn't very common. There's a handful of restaurants with outdoor seating. Fantastic flavor, excellent, hospitable service, welcoming atmosphere and quiet . Cashew nut chicken excellent, but be careful, ordered hot and it is really hot. I got spicy bean with beef on lowest as it comes and just perfect spicy hot and such great fresh flavor, and veggies cooked just right, not mush. Great experience. And they have brown rice! The spicy green beans with beef good flavor but not too spicy and the pumpkin curry with chicken with mild heat, yummy! Also the tom yum soup with prawns was very good. I have done take out a few times and been very pleased. The food is delicious! I can personally recommend the Tom Kha soup, Pad See Eiw, and Panang Curry. Add some spring rolls and an order of jasmine rice and....mmmmmm. Sticky rice with mango is yummy, but not for take out. The other thing I like about Tin House is the nice young man who mans the front desk. He is so pleasant and not afraid to have a conversation! I ordered something called som tum. I ordered it from my work and had it door dashed. It was a sweet dish made with shredded green papaya and carrot with a lime dressing. I ate it hot and later on went and ate some cold. It had no dried shrimp, maybe they left it out by accident or the door dasher ate it. I'm kidding about the second one. I think that when you eat cold food you taste the ingredients more. The lime dressing didn't taste good cold. I think I need to experience more Thai food dressing to give a review about this dish. read more

We stopped here after looking at several Thai options in Anacortes. It is a nice little place, server was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the food was very salty. The Tom Kha was good. The pad Thai has the thin glass noodles and was a bit over sauced. The rice was under done and the fried rice was a bit mushy. Gosh. We ordered and a nice young man waited on us, polite and responsive. They didn't ask how spicy we wanted our food "0-5" and I forgot to say so it came a tad bland. It was not a huge portion, we had pad kee mao and pad see eiw and I had to add spice to mine. We both felt so full and had indigestion later, I think it was the grease/oil and it had so much on it and not to much protein (we both had chicken), mostly noodles. The only Thai food I've ever had was Pad Thai, and while I like it, I'm kinda bored of it. So last night we decided to be daring and went to Tin Roof. Not being familiar with the foods the waitress was very helpful. I've never had Curry before, just the name scares me, but they had a Pumpkin Curry and I love pumpkin so decided to give it a try. WOW, a little spicy for my sensitive palate but the taste was Amazing, found my new favorite. We also had the Pineapple Fried Rice which has chicken and shrimp in it, my husband loved it. I really liked it too, but I let him have all the shrimp. (Yes call me weird, living by the ocean and not liking shellfish).Will definitely be returning. read more

We love Thai food and since the Tin House was walkable from our hotel, we went online and looked at the menu and the reviews. It more than met our expectations! The inside dining area is clean, modern, just enough color to be warm and having a few different rooms with tables makes it cozier. But, it is the food that needs to be highlighted. We ordered one entree and spring rolls; they were hot, nicely served and the spice level was perfect for our taste #3. The menu offers a nice variety of options~curries, noodles, soup. My high expectations for the food at this brand new (in the summer of 2022) restaurant were dashed when I opened the containers of food I'd brought home from an online order. Although the Pra Ram (meat, steamed broccoli, green beans) looked and tasted as would be expected (and was my favorite of the four dishes we ordered), the Phad Thai arrived as a big clump of noodles with the other parts of the dish scattered to the sides including the tough tofu I've ever eaten. The supposed Panang Curry contained green beans but not bamboo shoots and the dish I was most excited to see on the menu, Spicy Eggplant, had about four squishy pieces of eggplant as well as the promised bell peppers; however, it also contained a whole lot of cabbage and cauliflower and some broccoli and carrots. Why? My advice, skip the Thai food restaurants in Anacortes and instead drive to Taste of Thai by Wipa in Burlington or Rachawadee Thai Cafe in Mount Vernon. read more

A nice newer addition to the Asian restaurant scene here in Anacortes. The food is quite good, the staff is friendly and the price is fair. My only comment would be that they need a better heating system in the building as it gets quite cold and space heaters don't help much. read more

Excellent Thai food. We arrived during the soft opening so we weren't sure what to expect. The owner's were both there and we received excellent recommendations. We started with shrimp donuts, can't remember the real name, they were delicious and unique. Shrimp on the inside and crispy outside. Chicken satay was good but nothing unique. For our entire we had pumpkin curry and pad thai. Both dishes exceeded our expectations! The restaurant is clean and simple. The food is fresh, simple and packed with flavor. If you are hungry in beautiful Anacortes, you owe it to yourself try this new Thai food place... very new, very clean, very worth it!
