After a early round of golf today we decided to have lunch at J& M's Cafe. We weren't the only ones hungry it was pretty busy at 11:30. easy comfortable seating with plenty TVs. Nicolette came over and greeted us Bought us menus with specials and took our drink orders. Full bar if you want something stronger. I ordered a Cobb salad with grilled chicken all our orders came out promptly. My Cobb salad was very impressive too much for lunch, chicken was grilled just right avocados 2 hard boiled eggs onions olives chilled red leaf and Romain lettuce bacon it was delicious. All our lunches some had breakfast were excellent. Breanna and another friendly waitress both excellent as well. it's been a long time since I've been to JM's and I'm sure not gonna let that happen again because I really enjoyed a fine lunch. We went to J&M's for breakfast, our first time. We ordered our drinks bloody mary, coffee and champagne. Our waitress was awesome. After she brought our drinks, we ordered our breakfast. The food was delicious. Everything was good. The bloody mary was okay nothing exciting but tasted good. I like a bloody mary with celery, bacon and all kinds of trimmings in it this was just the drink with a piece of okra floating in it that's all. Their menu says they're famous for their bloody mary's but i'm not sure why. My son in law ordered the chicken fried chicken breakfast, and my son ordered the strawberry waffle combo and I had the chili verde tater tots off the secret menu. The food was all delicious. I totally recommend the food. We will be going back definitely to try some of the other menu items. We ate in the diner area where they have counter seating and very comfortable booths. The food was very affordable and very large servings. We had plenty of leftovers to take home. read more

Alright so actually this was my 1st time eating here, always wanted to try it but never got a chance until now, well I know why this place is always packed every morning, great food, nice atmosphere inside, staff was friendly. Chicken fried steak was on point and that gravy they use is fantastic, eggs were cooked perfect and the hash browns were delicious, the hamburger steak had a nice char which really gave it a nice flavor. Wait staff is excellent, 2 blonde ladies serving were absolutely amazing and put up with our large party like champs. All our food was fabulous, but stay away from the Sunday AM bartender, this guy should not be allowed to interact with customers! I mentioned what an A-Hole he was and another person at our table said "big guy?" It is definitely an old school establishment, in The Heart of Green Acres...very low key. It is almost preferable to the loud-mouthed, know-it-all, Boston (I can say that, because I was an obnoxious Bostonian Juicer back in the 1960's) drunks, who are depicted in the classic television show, "Cheers." At the bar, Good Ole Boys and, once in a while, Girls, start drinking, shortly after they open at 6:00 A.M,, and they hardly talk. They just want a little hair of the dog that bit them last night. I came because a friend said everyone loved this place but I'm sorry, it just didn't live up to the hype. It might be the breakfast place everyone in the NW absolutely loves this but I was disappointed. It's very rundown and smells heavily of smoke. The food was just so-so and the service was okay. I always see this location and just drive by it but today I decided to stop in and I am so glad I did..Alexis was great with the service and recommendations..so I took her advice and had the chili verde omelette and it was so good and filling so filling I didn't think of food the rest of the day..yeah I should of took a pic but after first bite the rest was history..Alexis kept the coffee coming even with the place busy and also I never have more than 2 cups but the coffee here was so good I had 3 ..management please recognize Alexis for her hard work she made sure to keep up with the customers and cleaning tables for next customer..she was smiling and making sure all the customers left full and happy..so thank you Alexis and yes I will be back. read more

I met my niece here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. As I was parking I could see this restaurant was a popular place to eat. If a restaurant has eggs benedict on the menu that's my go to. Then the plate was delivered to the table it looked great. I felt on my scale it was a 6 the hollandaise sauce was okay and didn't have a lot of flavor. The eggs were good and the ham was average. Covid, I know has caused a lot of small businesses to financially suffer. Supporting local businesses is something I'm adamant about doing. Just hanging up, not giving a definite answer turns me completely off and I'm not sure I'm willing to return. A quick and simple review, my son and I stopped by for a late lunch. My son ordered the All Meat Omelette with hash browns and toast. The omelette was slightly bigger than avg and my 18yr old struggled to finish. I had the French Toast Combo. It came with 3 Toasts cut in half which equals to 6 pieces and scrambled eggs and 2 pieces of thick bacon. The French toast was very good (I recommend) and eggs were cooked slightly soft. Overall, we were happy with our food and the bill was $30 which included one coffee and tax. Our server was really nice and attended to us accordingly. Upon walking in this establishment seems like it's trying to be clean, but it needs a deep cleaning. They're definitely short staffed so you need complete patience if you come here. The food was cold but good, meaning it could be good if it was hot. The bartender seems overwhelmed and overworked, his bar was filthy. You'll probably have to park a bit further than you'd prefer. The restaurant could use a makeover, but I think that its look is part of the charm. They have tons of regulars who like it! I haven't been here in awhile so this may not be accurate anymore. Some of the best cheesecakes that I have ever eaten has taken place at J & M's!! The owner of this place also owns The Village Grill but the menus are definately different, but both very tasty. The service is great here. They are always on top of filling up your coffee and or tea. I havent tried everything but it all seems fresh and or homemade. Everyrhing I have tried though I havent been let down. If you like diners and big portions, this is your place. I eat often enough in the day but never anything near meal size like this. It is the type of place my dad would have loved, may be yours too. Regulars would for sure flock here for the personal touch. We came in on a weekday before 2pm and could still order off the breakfast menu until 230pm. I had to try this legendary chicken fried steak.. and the biscuits and gravy! Staff were cool, we got to pick our seat, they served us well and checked on us all the time to see if we needed anything. No complaints there. The restaurant likely had a busy day already as this strikes me as quite the breakie spot but the floors were pretty dirty. I just tried not to look at them, or under our table. It was dead quiet when we were there, however. The food.. I would order differently next time. The chicken fried steak was hard and tough. The cold gravy did not soften it! The gravy, others may love but it was not for me. Too thick and doughy and I still do not know what the super soft meaty bits were, in it. The hash browns were ok. I do not eat eggs but hubby will eat them tomorrow AM. I would love to try the biscuits on their own next time, no gravy. He had a club sandwich and I knew the portion would be large but it was truly massive. He loved the shoe string fries. The sandwich was quite good and there is over half left over! They stop serving food at 9pm during the week. I am for sure going back to try maybe a burger and a bloody mary. No, forget that, they serve salads. Better! With the bloody mary! Today was unsweetened iced tea and diet pepsi and they will gladly give you a free refill for the road! Thankfully, I am writing this from a cardio machine at the gym. Bye, calories! Ordered through Uber, I ordered a waffle combo and it didn't come with Butter OR Syrup, and I happen to have none at home either. Kinda ruins the point of getting waffles when a restaurant doesn't include that stuff....???? Why would this not be included??? Completely ruined my waffle craving. Was going to try to just eat the dry waffle but it was not sweet or flavorful, and it was very soft- no crisp or crunch. The eggs that came with it weren't seasoned AT ALL. I've never been to a restaurant or diner who presented unseasoned food. Especially just a basic salt or pepper for the eggs.. ?? Just weird and distasteful. Had two bites and tossed out my whole meal. This isn't the first time we have had a weird experience with this place in person or through Uber. Waitresses have even told us in person that many of their food isn't made in-house. I can tell to be honest... the corn beef and hash is canned, the gravy for the biscuits are definitely either under seasoned or canned, and the chicken fried steak Id bet are frozen as well...
