It turned out to be a good choice, the pita was overflowing with shaved lamb, good tzatziki sauce, crispy fries in a little metal cup and a generous side Greek salad that I tossed on the gyro. The other entree was the grilled branzino which was served with Greek style potatoes, olive oil, and lemon. Worth a visit if you're looking for good Greek food in a warm and casual setting, there is outdoor dining now that the weather is getting nicer.

I went to this classy new family-owned Greek spot, which opened in the old Mykonian Garden space, very recently with a group of four others. They are a little bit difficult to find due to scaffolding, but they have a sign in front, so that should help. The inside is modern but chic, with a very nice outdoor space, which looks like it would be very nice for brunch or lunch. The service was very friendly, though if I was to fault one thing, they were slow regarding refilling water. To drink, I had a Vorinos 2023 Vidiano for $16, with the full name being the Silva Daskalaki Winery 'Vorinos' White. I have never had this grape varietal before, and it was a pleasant dry wine with minerally and fruity notes. They gave us some good bread with very good quality olive oil, which had a touch of balsamic, and at one point, the server asked if we wanted more, which isn't always the case today. As said, the menu inside was oddly a little bit different than online or posted outside, so I made some changes regarding what I would order. My appetizer was the Nostos Salad for $16, with the menu listing it as a watermelon, feta, and mint salad. Along with said ingredients, there were also plenty of pomegranate seeds along with some watermelon radish, with the salad dressed with some balsamic glaze. It was a refreshing and light bite and good for the summer. Another person enjoyed their Tzatziki for $8, served with pita. As with a few others, I ordered fish as my main. Another person had asked about the fish of the day, and as it was cod, I went with the $42 Lavraki, or Branzino, which was butterflied and simply prepared in a very classical Greek way and served with broccolini. The meaty fish was cooked beautifully without too many capers, so it wasn't overly salty and was lightly seasoned. The broccolini was, I believe, sautéed, with there being a bit of feta, and had a nice texture as well. I tried a bit of the Kotopoulo, or Chicken Souvlaki, which was $28 or something similar and was served with fries. From the bit I tried, the chicken was a tad dry, and the fries weren't super crispy, though I had waited a while to try the latter, so that was probably the reason. Another person got the octopus as their main dish along with another dish that I don't remember, and she loved it. As said, they seem to specialize more in fish, though another table ordered the moussaka and the grilled platter for two, which both looked outstanding. Two of us split desserts. One was one of my personal favorites, the Portokalopita, for $11, a traditional cake made from oranges. By comparison to some other spots such as in Astoria, I found this a bit different. It was a bit less chewy and denser than some other spots, and I wish there were more orange zest, as it lacked a bit of bitterness. This made it a tad too sweet for my liking. The other was the $12 Yogurt & Gliko Tou Koutaliou, or yogurt with fruit preserves. The preserves were sour cherry, similar in topping to the cake, which is my preference, and it was a good version, being creamy and sour enough with some sweetness. Overall, this is a tasty newer Greek place. I am in between ratings, so I'll bump it up a bit as the place is new and the owners are gracious.
