Where do I start. Initially, I called and spoke with "J". He was patient, didn't interrupt ONCE and LISTENED to everything I had to say. Upon arriving for an estimate, this guy was so damn patient, thoughtful and understanding. Within TWO MINUTES, he did what he could to get me back on the road. To top things off, whether it apply to you reading or not, this gentleman is a MAN OF GOD and prayed with me! Listen to me when I say this 30 minute experience was the best I've had at any mechanic, shop or customer service center. We recently got into an accident and instead of going to a shop insurance recommended we found this one off of yelp. I was already a bit suspicious because this place looked run down and also runs a limo shop. We decided not to judge by the cover. So we went through the usual loops with insurance and received an appointment with insurance inspector. This was important for us because we wanted to make sure that everything was fixed properly. So we specifically asked Tip Top owner to let us know when the insurance inspector came. The call did come, except the inspection was already done by the time we got there, giving us no chance to provide our feedback. It was obvious he waited before he called. Owner didn't seem to know his trade very well to be honest, though I am not one to judge. What I do know is that we made multiple complaints about the noise the car was making after the accident, but he dismissed it over and over. Ironically we got into another minor accident couple of weeks later, this time our fault, and we went to Caliber, a body shop appointed by the insurance. Apparently even though the accident was bumper to bumper there were many internal parts that were damaged. In fact, the car was declared unsafe to drive despite the minor collision. Because the previous accident was bigger in terms of impact, we suspect that the internal damage caused by the first accident, and the damage was not properly assessed by Tip Top. The second accident cost about $8k to fix while the first was just bumper and surface stuff totaling $2k~$3k (I forget). $8k was paid by our insurance while the $2k~$3k was paid by other party's insurance. This impacts us negatively, and we believe that we can thank Tip Top for that. read more

Worst business owner ever!!!! Please DO NOT take your car here! Was involved in accident and I made the biggest mistake to choose tip top as my auto shop . Such a headache as the owner Jay tried to return my car and not even complete the job! I felt like he half fast it and maybe because I am a women he felt like I would except it! Was caught in so many lies throughout the process! This guy is a crook! A family friend took me to pick up the car and when we stated that the car still looked like crap, he flipped out and got mad , making it seem like it was the insurance's fault! He does the labor , not the insurance! We were just being honest and said, this is how you do your work? He stormed off mad! Wow, so unprofessional ! Because you couldn't take constructive criticism !!!! Mind you, we didn't use profanity or yell or anything. We basically just told him the truth that it didn't look good! I'm the customer, and i would think he could at least be apologetic to the pathetic work he was trying to leave my vehicle in! Anyway to make it even more comical , when I called the insurance to report that I would not pay him until the job was done correctly, my adjuster had reached out to him to give him more time to complete the job the right way. But he had the nerve to tell the adjuster that there was a confrontation when we went down there and asked that I don't bring that same family friend that I came with to pick up my car!!!! Whaaaaaat!!! Lol I couldn't believe this guy! Because he got his feelings hurt for us telling him the truth about the work! Who does that!!!??? And who does he think he is! He can't tell me who to bring ... If the car was fixed properly in the first place we wouldn't have to go through this! Anyway another week and a half go by and I just wan my car back. I call the insurance to call him to ask when it will be ready because i refuse to call him directly because of his behavior! She states by that Friday, but come Friday I never get a call or text from him that it is ready. Finally the following Wednesday I call my adjuster again and she calls him. All of a sudden he texts me saying that the car has been ready for a week and he thought the adjuster was going to contact me! What a liar!!! So my car was just sitting there for a week and he wasn't gonna tell me it was ready! Sure!!! I make arrangements to have my father in law take me to get my car the next day because my husband and I have different work schedules. The morning of , he is texting me at work saying that he has doctors appointments all day , if we can reschedule??? Whaaat??? Who does business like this? I demand that he leaves the keys with an employee because this has gone on just way to long now! He finally says he would leave the keys with his daughter so I can pick it up! I really thought when I went that it wasn't even going to be fixed correctly again but I was thankfully surprised that it was finally done right! The girl there stated he had a family emergency with his daughter so she wasn't clearly the daughter so then again he was obviously lying which is beside the point but just want to state that this is the kind of person you are dealing with if you ever do business with! A person who is not honest, unprofessional, and tries to to do half fast work! Never again, and I hope this headache doesn't happen to anyone else!! I recently was a victim of a hit and run in my 2016 BMW and eventually found the person that hit me.....thank GOD! I got few quotes from multiple shops but this shop is the best one I got price and customer service wise. The owner worked with me because I was already upset and bothered coming in due to the fact that I am out of a car and been ubering everywhere.
