    The debris that struck our undercarriage, damaged our radiator and condenser, and was lodged in our condenser.

    On our way home to Virginia, there was a pickup truck on the OH turnpike that ran over this piece of debris (mechanic guessed it's a mud flap), when the pickup truck ran over it, it projected to our car and struck the undercarriage, damaging the radiator and condenser. Our AC went out pretty quickly, but it wasn't until we stopped at a rest stop that we realized the car was leaking coolant. We called AAA to tow our car and the tow truck driver recommended a few places, one of which was Monro Muffler in Sandusky, OH. We frantically called up Monro, thankfully they were open until 7pm, and we spoke with Chris. We were able to explain that we're driving home (7+ hours away), our radiator appears to be damaged, can you please fix our car with a new radiator. The mechanic Chris very quickly started hunting for a new radiator and called us back in a few minutes to let us know that he could get one, but he couldn't fix it until Thursday, when he had the radiator in hand. At this point, we realized that we would have to stay at least 1-2 nights in Sandusky to get our car repaired. So we agreed to get towed to Monro, where we met Chris, and he was able to look at the car and pull out this huge piece of debris. He let us know that the condenser and radiator needed to be replaced, but given the late hour (7pm), there was no way he could source them tonight, but he'd try again first thing in the morning. Chris also provided us with a quote, and explained each component of the pricing. And, he was kind enough to ask his colleague to give us a ride to the hotel down the street. Next day on Wednesday, I called up Monro around 11:30am and spoke to Chris's manager Devin, and Devin let me know that he was caught up to speed on our situation, knew the urgency we had to get the car repaired and go home. He let us know that they were able to source both the radiator and condenser AND they could get the car fixed by 7pm that night!!!! And sure enough, they had the car fixed by 7pm!!!!!! Added bonus: the quoted price was the ACTUAL price we paid. We were blown away for the following reasons: 1) Chris, Devin, & their colleague (Brian?) were unbelievably courteous, professional, friendly, and empathetic. They really could tell we just wanted to get our car fixed and go home. 2) This team was honest, fair, and pulled no surprises when it came to the repairs that had to get done, the pricing, and the work they were able to do (they don't cover car electronics). There were no gimmicks, no hidden charges or work, nor did we feel at any point that we were being taken advantage of. Chris & Devin explained the problem, told us what needed to get done, and answered all of our questions. 3) The work that they did on our car literally took them all day - replacing the condenser and getting the AC to work again can take anywhere from 4-8 hours, plus additional time to replace the radiator, and do a test drive of the car, not to mention the time it took to get the parts in hand. The fact that they put our car as a priority to get done by 7pm, and they actually got it done by 7pm, really truly means so much to us. 4) We naturally wanted to tip Chris & Devin for their hard work. As Devin is the manager, we thought it best to give him the tip and figure out how much he wanted to give to Chris and any other team members that worked on the car. However, Devin declined the tip and asked us to give it directly to Chris, as he was the one that worked on the car tirelessly all day long. We were pleasantly surprised - he gave Chris all the credit and wanted him to have the tip. Can you get a better manager than that? 5) We took our car to our regular auto shop to get the electronics looked at and make sure we didn't do any more damage to the car since leaving Sandusky. The shop called us up and let us know the car had a clean bill of health - no additional work was necessary. MONRO CORPORATE - you want more people like Devin and Chris on your team!! The leadership, professionalism, work ethic, quality of work, and overall pleasant demeanor shown by Devin and Chris is really the yardstick by which you should measure everyone else and every other Monro location. Honestly, this could have been a very expensive and very time-consuming repair had we gone anywhere else. My husband and I cannot express our words of gratitude and appreciation for Chris and Devin. If Sandusky, OH was not 7+ hours away from us, Monro Sandusky would be top choice to service our cars and those of our family & friends. Thank you, Chris & Devin!!

    Had an amazing experience with Devon and his team. We got stranded on our way home from vacation... Michigan to Boston. My Mazda CX-5 had a brake line let go at a rest stop on a Saturday. They were kind enough to wait for us to get there .. it was close to closing time and they diagnosed and found the part for us. We were back on the road Sunday afternoon. They are lifesavers!! Thanks Guys!

    Slightly longer than typical for an oil change, but service was better than average, and they did not attempt to upsell me.

When I arrived, they got me right in Joe & his Guys took their time to explain the issues with the vehicle & potential cost of the repairs, Very Fair and Honest evaluation of the vehicle's issues to help me make my decision on my purchase. I drove almost 45min. to look at it & ended up not getting the vehicle, But I would definitely Go back to Joe and will refer him to others in need of Car Repair work because Fair & Honest & Upfront,,,,,,,,, CUSTOMER SERVICE is Hard to find any more.     I haven't actually had work done on my vehicle by this shop as I'm not local, but I can attest to…read morethe quality and integrity of the people that operate it! While en route to Cedar Point from Columbus with an SUV full of kids, I started to experience car trouble. My daughter googled auto repair shops near us as the handling of my SUV began to decline rapidly and I slowed down and drove with my hazards on. By the grace of God, we were only 5 minutes from Tom's Auto Repair! As I pulled into their parking lot, Daniel came out from the garage right away to make sure we were okay as he noticed the flashers on. I explained to him what I was experiencing and after emptying my vehicle of restless kids, the team had it up on a lift in no time and quickly diagnosed the issue(s). They said I was lucky that I stopped, as with the state of my wheel bearing and front bushing, we might not have even made it the next 30 minutes to the park. Daniel didn't have the specific part I needed, but called around to other local shops to see if anyone had it on hand. With none found nearby, he and Alexis helped me problem solve from that point on. I called AAA to tow my SUV to a repair shop back home, and Daniel was already on the phone with local taxi services to to help us a way to Cedar Point, without me even asking. Alexis then called Fleet One for a rental and a Ford Explorer was delivered to the auto shop in less than 15 minutes! The tow truck came quickly as well, and Daniel provided a written analysis of the issue and parts needed to pass along to my local shop. What's even more impressive, is that he refused to collect a dime for his and his team's time, diagnosis, and help. They even cleaned up a wound and provided a bandaid for one of my son's friends who was with us! I was in tears by the time I left, grateful for the good people that God placed us close to at a time of need. I highly recommend Tom's Auto Repair to anyone in the Norwalk area and will always be a fan! Thanks again for saving my son's 13th birthday and keeping us safe, Daniel & team. You guys went above and beyond for nothing in return, and with that kind of integrity and character, I would absolutely trust you with the care of my or my loved ones vehicles in heartbeat. I have also worked on many of my cars over the years changing engines, rebuilding transmissions etc. I am a college graduate and a infantry combat veteran with 7th Cav in Vietnam. Was also an aircraft mechanic. So have been around. Getting old so can't crawl around under cars ant more so hire the work out these days. I don't personally know these people at all, but I have used them twice in the last year for big repairs, one on a 2009 Mercedes and another on a 2009 VW Touareg. THESE FOLKS ARE HONEST HONEST HONEST and COMPATENT and REASONABILITY PRICEd, also friendly. What more can I say except all that is hard to find in an auto shop these days. I hope thay stay in business.

All you need to do is look at the customer reviews for the Sandusky Ohio location. I was desperate for a place with weekend hours. That's how these corporate places always have customers coming back. Since last Friday 2/14, I now know my local Ford has service hours on Saturdays. So I will NOT be returning First off, Firestone claims that I need control arms on rear if my Edge. This is hard to believe since the shaking I am feeling is in my steering wheel and brake pedal. Secondly, why does your techs NEVER take my vehicle for a drive before looking at car and pulling straws? Why did the interior of my edge have greasy finger prints on the visor, above drivers door, and below my panorama sunroof?????! When I noticed it as soon as I got home and went to open garage door for house, I backed right up and took it back. Tony was VERY RUDE!!!! He made it seem like it was already like that when I took it there. Excuse me????? I demanded that it be cleaned and look like it did when I dropped it off! About 20-25 minutes later it was clean. Too bad corporate doesn't allow me to post these pictures in my review! I love how the company takes down bad reviews on Google. Miraculously, they have 4.3 stars on there. They should only be doing tires and oil changes!!!!

    Full disclosure - I think the problem started when he confused me with my sister-in-law, who's name…read moreis also Tiffany LaCourse. She's had some issues with him recently and I don't think he realizes we are two different people. That having been said - my son was in an accident last month (June 7th 2025) and Walt's Towing ended up towing his car. When I picked my son up from the scene, they weren't sure what tow company would take the car, so the sheriff gave me his card with the report number on it and said the tow company would get in touch with me. No one ever called me, and I was completely slammed between work, my boys' baseball schedules, my mom's doctors appointments, and everything else going on. I talked to my insurance company (State Farm) immediately after the accident, filed a claim, and they said they would make sure the car was at a facility that didn't charge storage and if it wasn't - they'd have it moved somewhere that wouldn't charge for storage. I assumed since I never heard anything more from my insurance or the towing company - that there was nothing to worry about. Weeks after the accident - on Friday, June 21 2025 - Walt and his girlfriend showed up at my house at close to 8pm when my husband and I were in Ashland at a baseball tournament and he scared my elderly mom and my 9 year old son. He gave my mom a copy of the police report with a POST IT NOTE attached with a price of $1,398.13 handwritten on it (see attached photo) and said he needs to be paid ASAP and I need to get my car. That is NOT an invoice - let alone itemized. I still to this day have not received an invoice. I called the police on him that night and made a report. I've tried to reach him and so has my cousin Richard (who tows vehicles) numerous times to get the car - so the storage fees would stop - and he hasn't answered or reached back out to either of us. Now this weekend - July 19 2025 - I got served with small claims court papers. He's taking me to court for almost $2400! And he still has my son's car and has still has never returned any calls to this day! I fully intend to file with the BBB, Ohio Secretary of State, ODOT, and any other authority I can to have this remedied.
