No reason why this could not have been put back in the trunk among the Jack where it belongs. Careless inattention to detail. Overall I would recommend, but the price is not that fantastic and I could've gotten the same tires cheaper elsewhere.

The first time my muffler went out and they were able to get me in and help the very day after it happened. Several months later, as I started my car and began to drive to work, it began making funny noises. I didn't even call, just drove straight to Midas. No appointment, but they were understanding and willing to take a look at it while I left and went to work for the day. Again, they were able to fix it by the end of the next day (there was a leak in the power steering). Both fixes were minimal, painless, and very reasonably priced. They were quick, kind, and knowledgeable. As if this wasn't enough to make me want to come back...fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. On my way to work, my car (a manual), suddenly would not go into gear as I tried to shift. I coasted into a parking lot, called roadside assistance, and again made a call to Midas explaining my situation. My biggest fear was confirmed just under an hour after the car was towed to Midas...the clutch had given up and would need to be replaced. This was a 2007 Honda Civic with the original clutch (yes...Hondas are wonderful and the original clutch lasted 13 years!). Because the cost was going to be about what the car was worth even with a working clutch, we needed some time to think about our options. We had been debating getting a new car for some time so that thought came into play. Midas didn't have to be kind and give us time to think. They could have said, "not our problem, have your car towed somewhere else, we don't want it here." Instead, Kyle at Midas WAS kind and did give us the time we needed to make the best decision for us. I kept in contact each day to let him know what we were thinking our plans would be and each time he said, "it's okay, just let us know what you end up deciding." In the end we did end up getting a new vehicle and sold the Civic to a company that would come and tow it away. When we went to clean it out and spoke to Kyle once more his exact words were, "we are in the business, not just to make money, but to make sure that each customer is doing the best and right thing for them at the time. We support you as our customer and if this was the best thing for you then we are happy we were able to help in making that decision a little easier with not having to worry about what to do with the Civic in the mean time." Bottom line: Kyle and the team in Solon Ohio truly care about their customers. And as much as we don't necessarily want to see them often because that would mean something is wrong with one of our vehicles, you can guarantee that if something does happen, Midas in Solon will be our very first call/visit to figure out what is going on. However, when I picked up my vehicle, the heat was still not functioning properly -- and my car is still leaking coolant. When I called the next day, I was told the heating issue and engine issue are "separate problems" and that I would need to pay for another diagnostic. This is unacceptable. I reported both concerns at intake and was repeatedly assured they would be handled. I paid $730 and left with the same two problems I originally came in for. I expected a proper diagnosis and complete repair, not additional charges to address issues that were clearly reported from the beginning. Very disappointing experience.

The email I sent to Used Tire House and their response is included below. Selling five year old tires as "new" is not right, and they will do NOTHING to make it right. My email: HERE'S MY ISSUE: I had to buy one new tire due to sidewall damage. I bought these tires from you as "new" in Dec 2017. It turns out these tires were manufactured in 2013, they have been on the car for 1,000 miles and they are already down to 8/32" fronts and 9/32" at best on the rears. I guess that old rubber wears quickly? I am asking for some sort of compensation from your company. I'm thinking $145.00 ( the price of one tire), is a reasonable refund given these facts. Their response: We are really sorry, but there is nothing that we can do in this issue, because bulb you have on a tire is a physical damage and our warranty as we said only 30 days.
