Just switched all our company business over to this branch last year because prices were consistently, slightly lower than the other company we had been using for almost 11 years. It started out ok but every time I called I was put on hold for quite a long time. Thats not the complaint, it happens, especially during these hard times. There was also a couple of times that my order got ordered but nobody called to tell me it was in. I eventually called only to hear them say the tires have been in. This last time was over the top and has made me move my fleet business elsewhere. I ordered 4 tires and after 3 weeks of not hearing from them I finally called because we had run out of inventory at our shop. The gentleman on the other end said we have them but only 3, and the last tire was reserved for some reason. He didnt know why but he said come in and he will have them for me. So when I got there one fellow was talking to another customer and he was the only one in there. Another gentleman finally came in (I believe his name was Jason) he immediately told me he will be right with me. "Great" I thought to myself. He shuffled around some papers and a call came in. He then proceeded to take care of this customer on the phone. I had only been there for about 5 minutes so I was ok with him taking the call but thought I would be next. Well another call came in and he told them to hold as he finished the customer he had on the phone. So I was thinking after this call he will help me. Well no, he proceeded to talk to the next phone customer. Now I have been here waiting about 8 or 9 min. Then another call came in, he put them on hold and finished up with his current customer. So he began to take care of that customer. Well another call came in and you guessed it, he took that call. At this time I asked my employee that was with me to call the previous company we used to use and see if they had the tires. So while he was calling them Jason took another call. Now its been around 28 mins. Of waiting. I joked to my employee that was with me, "maybe I should call them so I can be taken care of cause it seems that phone calls take priority" we chuckled a little and finally my employee said the other company has the tires and told us to come get them. At that same time the first guy that was taking care of the customer when we first got there finished up, while Jason was taking endless phone calls. I then told the guy to cancel my order and we are going elsewhere. Just over 30 mins. Of waiting and watching every call that came in, cut in what I perceived to be a line. Keep in mind Jason told me when he first came in " I will be right with you". Now to be fair I am sure its hard to get good help and these guys were probably over worked. Maybe its their policy to take phone calls before the people waiting in the lobby. I just thought that taking 4 calls and going on a 5th call while I was obviously there before they even decided to call tire kingdom was a little over the top. Especially since I was there to just pick my tires up and go. I didnt need them to mount them or do anything. It should have been really easy. read more

Beware of this tire kingdom. I took my car in for a tire change which them performed. Then told me my car battery was pretty much dead. They proceed to try to sell me a new battery even after I told them the car is under warranty. I took it to the dealer and they checked the battery, and showed me the results. The battery was completely full, and I even took it to auto zone and had it checked and again full. I called tire kingdom to notify them of what happened and they gave me the answer of "well the dealers machine was probably broken and they didn't want to deal with the warranty. " funny thing is tire kingdom never showed me the test results.. so beware of they people read more

I brought my car in to have my tires balanced and rotated. Our service advisor, Joey was very helpful in explaining why I would need two new rear tires. Once they got the front tires off to balance them, Joey returned to explain a safety issue with a front tie rod, which we then had them replace. The next time I drove the car we noticed that a lug nut was missing from each of our front wheels! My husband called and spoke with the manager since Joey was not working. The manager tried to tell my husband that the lug nuts were missing when we brought the car in. They were not. He said he would get us new ones but they would charge us for them. My husband disputed the manager's contention that they were missing when we brought the car in and wanted to know why we were never told they were missing. What kind of tire store let's a vehicle leave with missing lug nuts?! They did replace the lug nuts at no cost after my husband insisted, but they never apologized. We need new shocks but will NOT be taking the car back to Tire Kingdom for them. read more

I had a leaking tire. I called this Tire Kingdom yesterday for an appointment. They told me they were booked solid all day and almost all of today. But they said I could drop it off and they would find time to look at it. I got it in and Jason was most helpful and sympathetic to my needs. I got a call about 2 to 2 1/2 hours before they thought they could get to it saying it was done. They patched my tire without trying to sell me a new one or even implying anything else might be wrong with the car. I'm very happy with the experience and their professionalism. read more

Took my vehicle here to have an oil change and tire rotation. Went to pick up my truck and they had not rotated the tires and wasn't going to tell me until I mentioned it. On top of that, they damaged two of my expensive custom rims by hitting the curb. Regional manager and loss prevention did some sort of "investigation" and determined they didn't do it (of course!). The sad thing is a had a similar experience at the Tire Kingdom in Palmetto. Said they rotated my tires and did not. I always mark them so I will know! Sent me a little $28 check as a refund for my oil change and thats it! Never ever will I go to another Tire Kingdom! I am done and I'm spreading the word! read more

Tried calling to make appointment, was put on hold. Drove to store before they ever picked up. One guy in the office still talking on phone, no customers there. After waiting ten minutes I asked the guy if I should just leave. His response "I'm very busy, so probably". Then he continued to argue with me about how I wasn't the most important customer, he's going on vacation, blah blah. So unprofessional. Told me they would take at least a full day to look at it. Called another location. They took me right then and I was out the door soon. Such poor management. This was a 20 yo kid - Joey - who obviously needs more training and customer service education. This location seems very dysfunctional and unprofessional. I only take my car there when my main mechanic doesn't have time to change my oil. My last oil change I asked them to rotate my tires, which didn't get done. I asked them to call me when they were done. Three hours later I called and they said "oh, yeah it's been done..." I checked my oil to see if they even changed it. I wouldn't trust them to do anything other than an oil change. I am skeptical to even have them perform just that basic service. read more

The service is incredibly slow and the place is run by incompetence. We came in and were told that they could have correct tires within a specific number of days. In order to ensure that the correct tires were in, we left an extra day for them to arrive. No one followed up or contact us, so we arrived a little early for the appointment. We waited for more than 30 minutes, as the gentleman trying to help seemed very upset at "whoever put in this order," but still did not provide any updates. Unfortunately, the tires still (after 5 days) had yet to be ordered. I bought 2 new tires there last weekend. I left the car there at 2 pm on Saturday and it was over 24 hrs before it was ready. I made 3 separate trips and was told a different excuse every time. When I got in the highway Monday morning to go to work the car started vibrating and shaking. I went to dealer today and had to pay over 200 dollars to have it balanced and aligned. I will never bring my car there again and will warn my family and friends to not use them either. Costly mistake for me but live and learn. read more

It's "Tire Kingdom", the national chain. When the word TIRE is in the name of your business, then you'd expect to get quality products at reasonable prices, right? I found that's not the case at this location. They are always busy which is good for them but not for me. They offer other services but I've only had them work on tires, rotations and oil changes and for that I can't complain, but if I needed brake or transmission work done I'd go to "brake kingdom" or "transmission kingdom". read more

I will NEVER come here for service again. I initially stopped by on Saturday around 5pm. I explained to the receptionist that my car was shaking whenever I exceeded 50 mph and that my engine light was on. He responded that his diagnostician had just left for the day, so I made an appointment for 9am on Monday (today). I arrived at 9 sharp. I was greeted and told the recptionist that I was here for my 9am appointment and that I would also like an oil change. He said that it would be up to a 2 hour wait. I waited. At 10:30, he says to me that everything looks great except that one of my tires had separated and that I would need a new tire. I purchased the new tire and the car was ready at 11. As soon as I start the car, I noticed that the check engine light was still on. I go back inside, and ask if there was anything wrong with my engine. He looks surpised and asks, "Oh did you want us to look into that?" That was one of the reasons that I made the appointment! He says that would be another hour and an additional $100 JUST TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE. I declined and left. I had already spent over $200 and waited for 2 hours. As I'm driving away, I notice that my wheels are not aligned. I drive back and ask if the tires had been aligned. He says "no, i didn't recommend it because you only got 1 tire." Who puts on a new tire and doesnt recommend that service?? More importantly, who services a car and sees the check engine light and doesn't address it or even ask me about it? I could've gotten the diagnostic test for free included in an oil change at my dealership! I came here looking to save money, but I now have to spend more money and time off work at the dealership tomorrow to fix this half ass job. read more

These guys will waste your time & money. Since the location is convenient for me, I attempted to make an appointment on their website which proved impossible. I needed to go to Lowe's anyway so I stopped in for an oil change - only a few cars in the lot but a 2.5 hour wait - They offered to set an appointment for the next morning which I agreed. I arrive next morning 10 minutes early only to be informed their new computer system erased all appointments and there are four orders ahead of me! In disbelief, I laughed out loud and indicated that I didn't have time for this kind of nonsense while pointing out the guy who set up my appointment. They relented & said they would have it done within an hour. I specifically asked for 0W-20 Synthetic oil.., and they said, "no problem, it's in stock". The office is very chaotic & generally unpleasant. When I went to pick up my car, I just wanted to quickly get out of there so I didn't review my invoice until I arrived home and that's when I realized they installed 5W-20 - WTF? "0W-20" is written in bright bold lettering on the oil fill cap! Why would they put the wrong oil in? They charge the same price as the dealer, $60 bucks but they don't put in the correct oil. This review is for the Tire Kingdom in Bradenton on SR 70 just west of I75. I've been to this tire kingdom a few times. Each time they tell me something expensive needs to be replaced, although I absolutely knew it wasn't needed. I usually just say "No thanks," but this time they tried to sell me expensive tire rods on a Mercedes that had just been replaced within the last year. It was a ridiculous recommendation. Then they require you to expressly sign a separate form acknowledging you were informed but declined the sale. It's clearly a scare tactic and mind trick. I've also noticed that if you need an inexpensive oil change or tire rotation they tend to put you off saying they're busy or the soonest you can be scheduled is next next, but if you need tires or an expensive service than you can come in immediately. The buy 2 get 2 tire offer isn't good either. It's only on mediocore select tires, and you are required to purchase other services that are overpriced to make up the difference. I would avoid this business. There are multiple other auto service departments within a 2 mile radius that will do a better job and be icy more honest with you. read more

They broke the bolt for my oil pan and then wanted to charge me $3,000 to fix it. They charges me for an alignment which was never done. I lost a day of work and 300$ towing the car back and forth to the shop. They also left grease hand prints all over my bright white BMW. They did not balance the tire correctly as they left the old weights and they did not replace the copper seal for the drain plug so now my car is leaking oil everywhere. I have called Tire Kingdom corporate several times and they just such it back on me like it is my fault. I guess it is my fault for choosing such a half ass shitty shop to bring my car to. I went in for new tires and potentially new brakes even though my car is only 5 years old with 30,000 miles. I had a quote online with the tires I wanted saying buy 3 get 1 free. To start, the service advisor tried to have me purchase all 4 tires at cost, and then when I mentioned it was buy 3 get 1 free (I booked the appointment with this ahead 3 days before), he said oh that is not showing up but I can add it in like he was doing me a favor. Then he tried the usual upsell and I was not interested. He called my father who was trying to help little old me (a young college girl who knows nothing about cars) after I left my car there to say it needed a new battery and wheel alignment as well. My father said go ahead not knowing I had a new battery put in earlier this year. Needless to say, I messed up on that end having them call him and not me (but I know nothing about cars). However, they ripped me off by saying my battery needed to be replaced when it was not even a year old and still under warranty. In addition, the sold me a battery that was made for cold weather conditions. WE LIVE IN FLORIDA! I need a battery that is made for hot weather. In addition, they charged me for a "difficult battery install". I who claim to know nothing about cars, know that chnging a battery in a Volkswagen Passat is not "difficult". So overall, I tried to be smart and have my father help and not get ripped off. Tire Kingdom tried to rip me off on the buy 3 get 1 free, they lied about my battery status, and then they placed in a battery that was totally wrong for the environment we live in. RUN FROM THIS STORE is my opinion.............. I took my car there for a brake scraping in the back. The 'sales associate' came back to me with an estimate of over $750. He claimed the calipers froze up, and wore the rotors beyond their service limit. combine that with a brake fluid exchange.....$750.50. Something didn't sound right. The next work day, I took the car to the local dealer and was told the brake pads had indeed scraped the rotors, but the calipers were tested and FINE. ALSO, the rotors could be resurfaced too!!! Combine that with the brake pads being $20 CHEAPER at the dealer; my total bill was $218!!!! The sales guy had also quoted me 3 new tires for $446 - guess what; THE DEALER offered the same 3 (Yokohama 250/R16 95V) for $384; mounted, balanced, rotated, and road hazard warranty.. read more

I've been to this location several times now. The first time was not so impressive. I think I was there for 3 hours for rotate and alignment. The last few times the visits have been pleasant. Today I was there with my son's car. I've always been treated with respect and each time I've been they always work with me on the cost . . . offering me coupons and doing what they can to keep the cost low. It's not easy to find someone trustworthy and honest. I'm hoping my luck doesn't run out here. They are normally dependable for repairs and tires. Rarely do they get your tires or repairs done within the estimated time. Even with an appointment, I have sat for an hour and a half watching my car sit in the lot before being worked on. My most recent issue came when I brought my SUV in to make an appointment. They examine my tires, gave me a quote and I made the appointment for 3 days later. I took the morning off and when I arrived for my appointment, the same guy examines my tires again and says that they don't have my tires in stock but could have them tomorrow. I was experiencing a rough idle on my 2004 Buick Rainier. I was headed home to a neighboring county, when I experienced the engine issue. The idiot light began blinking, and I exited the highway and located the nearest mechanic. Except for Tire Kingdom, very other mechanic or auto parts store provides a free engine diagnostic via a simple code check. Tire Kingdom, however, charges $108.90 for a code check. The code revealed a had one bad ignition coil. I was charged $126.55 for the single coil. Afterwards, I had checked RockAuto and found a replacement SET of 6 ignition coils for $162.38 for my 4.2L L6 (six cylinder) engine. Total bill was $358.64. Either they have no concern for finding the best price for parts or they engage in fleecing their customers. They explained that I should also replace the other five ignition coils. They could do the job for just under $900. On the positive side they did complete the work in about 90 minutes. read more

They also should have just looked at the tire when they walked out to check the mileage because they could have told me right then and there it would be a whole tire replacement instead of just a patch. One more question can make all the difference. So I waited an hour and then they gave me crap about shopping via the phone for prices after they made me wait, which had they looked in the beginning all of that would have been avoided. I have brought my vehicle to this location for at least two years. They have been nothing but honest in their maintenance recommendations. Yesterday I dropped my car off for an oil change and tire rotation. I came back towards the end of the day to pick up my vehicle and everything was fine. After driving off and going to a restaurant, I returned to my car having a dead battery. I called the location and Chris answered. He told me that if I needed assistance tonight I could bring it in even though they were closed. I told him that I would just jump it off and bring it in today. I brought it in this morning and after a conversation with Chris, he assured me that they would take care of the battery and look over the car again. I returned when I was notified that the car was ready and all was in order. Chris and Keith have both been great to me and have taken care of my car. I will continue to return to this location for all my maintenance needs. They are always busy, but that just means that you drop off your vehicle or make an appointment. Plus, them being busy assures me that they are doing good work! read more
