Austin went above and beyond to help my family. I had a complete tire blowout on the front drivers side. I had difficulties with the jack due to a slight incline when attempting to install the spare. Tired Plus was about an 1/8 of a mile down the road, so I asked for help. Austin walked his shop jack and gear over to my vehicle. He fixed it right up and refused money for his assistance. He even filled the spare with air and made sure it was safe to drive. I'm extremely grateful and impressed with the service and willingness to drop what he was doing to help my family in a bind. I went to replace one tire and an oil change. They charged $21.99 for auto inspection, without asking they used synthetic oil without asking my preference and $62.32 for 4.1 extra qts. A 5.49 add on for premium oil change 2.99 to dispose of oil filter then we're gracious enough to discount $15 for the oil change that ended up costing $136.78. On the tire they added a road hazard fee of $35.23 without asking. Plus a fee for a tire valve and labor to install it. In the meantime they stripped out my tire lock lugs and tool. They didn't charge me for that or offer to replace them. They milked it for all they could. They will never see my cars there again. read more

First I would like to say when Mike the old Manager who left in Feb 2025 was there, I never had an issue. We had been going here for several years, bought all our tires here and he always made sure we were taken care of. When I went back today for an oil change, I specifically asked the new manager who was promoted to Mike's old job to leave about a half a quart of oil out of the oil change and even brought my own oil container to have them put that half quart in so I could put it in my self because when they fill it all the way up, it leaks and if I leave an 1/8 inch out it doesn't leak. When I get home and grabbed the oil bottle to put just a small amount in, they did not follow my instructions and it leaks. Mike would never have let this happen. He was always about making sure the customer was taken care of. This new guy, never told the oil changer tech my instructions and if he did, the tech ignored him. When I called back, Eric answered and I told him since they did not follow my instructions that they now lost all my business and they can cancel my wife's appointment for her car. Eric just rudely hung up. The district manager needs to fire Eric and demote or retrain the manager who took over on how to treat and listen to customers. I can see now why the bays were all empty and why it's hard for them to find workers. There are better places a person can take their car to without being treated rudely. read more

Brought my car in and paid $100 for a diagnostic check. Found nothing wrong. Sent me on my way. Somehow they didn't notice an oil leak. A small leak that I was notified 3-4 months earlier. But said it was very minor. 2 months later take car to a sister business of theirs for same noise. Told me engine had a horrible leak that has been bad for longer than 2 months. He could tell by amount of oil that had sprayed out over casing. Thanks tires plus. Engine blown. Rod thrown. Could have saved it if your did your job! read more

I made an appointment for an oil change at 4pm today. I get there and the guy says he had no appointments until 5. Check my email and sure enough, I got an email from them stating they changed my appointment time to 5pm. No one called me to even ask if that was alright. I usually go to the tires plus on university and never have I ever had any bad experience there. I assumed that I would get the same level of professionalism. Nope. Went for an oil change, some how was leaking. Charged me 50+ dollars to check for the leak that didn't have. Then told me the car was not starting, told me the starter was bad. Changed in charged me 500+ dollars and the car is worse than it came, from only an oil change. It took 3 days for checking for the leak and for the starter. They don't have staff and the staff they have don't have communication. From an oil change now my car is broken. I won't take it there even for a refund. They found me in their computer as a Tires Plus credit card holder which they couldn't even do at 5703 Manatee Ave. West! Off to a good start. Had a 9am appointment to get 4 new tires. 2 hours later, my car is still not done. Was told it would be ready by 10:15am. I was waiting in the parking lot with my husband and we saw one of the garage employees roaming around, talking to the other 2 technicians, sitting down, drinking his coffee, but not working on any cars. In the meantime, plenty of customers are piling in, waiting for their service. This place has terrible customer service and very poor management. read more

Very disappointed in Tires Plus. The Rt 70 location replaced a damaged tire on my Lincoln Navigator under a road hazard warranty. They used a different tire than what was on the vehicle already. I decided to return and replace the other 3 so they would match to find out that the tire they installed was grossly underrated for the weight requirement of the vehicle. Once this was discovered I expected them to replace the tire with the appropriately rated tire but was told it was not their fault by Reuben, the associate working. Tires plus was deceitful when they knowingly installed the wrong tire but they showed how poor of a company they truly are when the refused to correct their mistake. read more

After calling back to check if my tire was in yet they said "oh yeah it's here" made an appointment for 1pm after being told it would only take about 20-30mins it ended up taking over three hour to change one tire... glad i didn't decide to wait for it. Rip off artists. I had a confirmed price for 4 tires for 425. I was ok with that and an alignment that would bring the price to 525. They tried to charge me 750 They also high pressured me to do 2500 more on a car that was barely worth the 500 I spent. Anybody with an older car knows that as long as you can keep that car on the road for as little cost as possible means more value for you. Not to them. This place is completely unprofessional! I went in today because I had a nail in my tire. The guy went out, got the Vin number, looked at the car, came back in and said it would take an hour and cost $31. An hour later he goes back to check on it and comes out and tells me that the nail is too close to the edge, they can't fix it, and I need four new tires. Dropped in for a lot of maintenance (oil change, radiator flush, wipers, and brake fluid flush) in addition to brake inspection due to a "brake wear indicator coming up on the dash. They were honest and did everything promptly. Polite as well. Needed 2 tires and balancing, so was also done. Prices are higher than what I've paid at other places in the past (10-15% higher), but I was tight on time. If you want cheaper, definitely shop around!! read more

I drive a 350 GS F Sport. I had the back tires replaced last year. 450.00. Only to find out that the type of tire I purchased was not a great option for my car. The Hancooks wore unevenly and now have to be replaced. At the time of the purchase I was told nothing about AAA tread ratings, partial warranties etc. As a consumer you have faith that the manager at a reputable Tire establishment would know something about the product they sell. Not here. The manager Gee said to me on the phone we just give the customer what they ask for. As if we are experts. That is why we pay you! I had a knowledgeable person at "The Pit Stop" in Englewood explain to me that the tire for my particular car should have a 400 plus AAA treadwear. Real simple. If Tires Plus would have told me last year the correct tire for my vehicle I would not have to be replacing my tires yet again spending another 500.00. This place has No knowledge of the products it sells nor any accountability for misleading consumers or offering the wrong products. Typical........do not recommend this place. read more

If I could put zero stars I would. I've used tires plus for years in west palm beach (a much busier city). I've always been able to schedule an appointment the day of or even walk in and be serviced immediately. This place will let you schedule online then call you back an hour before to tell you they're booked. I asked what the wait time is for a walk-in... 3-4 HOURS!!! Absolutely absurd. Takes 20 minutes to do an oil change if you're really dragging. This branch really needs to step it up. read more

A not so Peppy competitor had not fasten my lug nuts and more but TIRES PLUS alerted me and remedied my tires actually stating if I had went on the freeway my tire would have come off and I could have died! Incredible rude. The work is fairly good and the price for a new tire was competitive, but the service was abhorable. When someone comes for a service and there is barely any acknowledgement or explanation of what is being done and passive aggressiveness it makes it a place I will not go again to have work done. Went in at 12:10 and simply needed an oil change. I had to work next door and gave them until 1:30 to be finished. Stupidly, I trusted that they would be done at that time thinking they had over an hour and 20 minutes to get this done. Unfortunately I had to wait an additional 20 minutes until 1:50 which made me late for work and took away my lunch break. They claimed that they were waiting to hear back from me on whether or not I wanted to get an alignment. In today's world, time is of the essence and they seem to have no understanding of this concept. I won't be back. read more

Never Again ! Attempted Rip-Off. I have purchases 3 sets of tires here and I always get the lifetime Rotate/Balance/Road-Hazard package with the tires so that when I come back those services are already paid for. Each time I go back for tire rotation they always have a list of "recommended" repairs between $300 and $600. I always decline and later show the list to my regular mechanic, Larry, who just laughs and explains that Tires Plus is simply being a little "over zealous" regarding car maintenance - at least until the last 2 visits. They told me that my rear brakes were "down to the metal" and needed emergency repair, and that one rear brake cylinder was severely leaking. I took it to Larry and he pulled the rear drums to reveal that they were not down to the metal, and would go at least another 15,000 miles or so, and there was virtually no leakage from the brake cylinders - a drop or two of brake fluid is normal (under the cylinder boot) in old cars. Then on 07/14/12 I went there again (my last time forever), and I was told that my rear shocks were "completely blown out" and that the shocks required immediate replacement, else further tire damage would occur. I took my car to Larry who told me there was NO EVIDENCE to support that claim, and further, these were lifetime warranty shocks which Tires Plus did not even offer to make good from the manufacturer, had they in fact been defective. I took my car to a third shop (Tire Kingdom), and I paid them for a check of the shocks, and they confirmed Larry's diagnosis regarding the shocks - the shocks were fine. Tires Plus on State Road 70 attempted to extract over $250 from me for a totally unnecessary repair, as confirmed by 2 other mechanics (I have all this in writing). Larry didn't call this attempt over-zealous this time. In my opinion, this was attempted fraud. I hope the State Attorney's Office sends their sting team to this location. I am sure Tires Plus on SR70 will pull this same kind of shenanigans on any unsuspecting citizen. BEWARE !! read more
