This is mainly for the ladies who never know where to go or who to trust when they have car issues. I went to Tire Kingdom on Normandy Blvd because the location closest to me had no electricity. I had what I presumed was a screw in the thread in my tire not the wall and though I believed it to be fixable finding somewhere open was not easy as it was Sunday. I get there finally and am told it will cost in total about $32 more than I wished but I believed at that time that beggars cannot be choosers...so said he! Now I'm telling you my outcome and I don't want you to assume that this is going to be the case for all but Troy (a name that I'll cling to for all time) charged me nothing! As in Zero Dollars as in his own words it was a tiny screw. Now I don't know about the rest of you ladies but anywhere else I would be paying the full price but the Lord don't put you where you're not supposed to be. Short and sweet bought two tires for the front end total of $500 including balance. they trashed the outside rim of one of my tires when I got home. I know it's a piece of the tire. weight fell off and was sticking to the inside of my rim where I noticed the weights were not even properly secure or in the right location where you could see them. if you look down and you were washing your rims LOL. they didn't care. gave me an attitude. they did fix the balance but said the rims my problem cuz they didn't see it. none of my other rims have any rash or anything close to it on them. this one is located on Park Street in Jacksonville, Florida read more

Brought my car in today for 2 new rear tires. Also wanted them to check out my brakes for a second opinion. First dealership quoted me about $400 for 2 new brakes and rotors. When I brought this up to the rep at Tire Kingdom, he said he would check things out. Sales rep came back letting me know my brakes weren't bad at all and couldn't justify me getting new brakes. I love the honesty! The first shop was honestly trying to rip me off. I am so appreciative of the kindness and honesty I received at Tire Kingdom. I came here with my new car to have my tires checked. There were two guys in the bays busy working on cars. I asked the one guy (Michael?) if he could check my air pressure. Without hesitation, he checked my tires and filled each with a little air and told me my treads were fine with plenty of use left. He did suggest having my tires rotated. Well I had a positive review at 1st but that's now changed. My husband went to get new tires on his truck for the 2nd time but all of them replaced. Long story short two of my rims were damaged. He talked the store manager who told him there was nothing they did wrong, my husband told them to pull cameras because his rims were just purchased with no damage. The store manager said the cameras in that area dont work & if we file a claim he will deny it, he basically refused to do anything about it. Pics of the damaged are included, I also have pics of the rims when I brought them so they cant say it was damaged before he got the tires. When I apprived there were two gentlemen at the counter - No other customers were in line. I was asked if I needed help and with what. I asked if they could replace the TPMS sensors in my car. They asked for the make and model and when I told them I brought my own sensors, one of the guy told me they don't install sensors that are not bought from Tire Kingdom. I explained I called and spoke to someone at the Blanding location and was advised the fee would be 17.99 per tire and since I was in the area with the car and sensor I decided to stop in. He told me that some locations will do it but his does not - Last time he replaced sensors that a customer brought they had to comp $300 worth of repairs because it had shut the vehicle's system down. This was hard to believe. I took his word for it and went to the Blanding location a few days later and they took care me of no problem. I even purchased a new battery since it was recommended. If they can't trust their techs to replace sensors not purchased here, I wouldn't trust them with my vehicle. read more

I've been taking my car to Tire Kingdom for oil changes since I returned to the States from Italy. Originally, it was a choice based on convenience (less than 5 min drive from where I live), but it's become a choice based on timeliness and friendliness. I had originally stopped in here last Friday to schedule an appointment for an oil change, figuring that they had to be full up for the day. Instead of scheduling me, they took my car right in and completed the entire evolution in just less than an hour. I have a Mini Cooper, so an oil change is automatically around $60 due to the synthetic oil. All together with the oil, the man hours, and the engine flush that I requested, my bill came out to about $88. It was also found that I am due for new front tires thanks to the pre-inspection that was done prior to the oil change. While I'll have to wait until next month to do it, I'm grateful to have that knowledge. I'm not sure if I'll be heading to Tire Kingdom for the tires or elsewhere (after I do a price comparison), but I'll definitely bring my Mini here for service every time. read more

I came in and asked for a full synthetic oil change, got conventional oil. I had a coupon and they charged me $10 more than what the coupon was for. Store manager told me that even with synthetic oil I still needed to change my oil every 3,000 miles. (lol, wut?) Was given a list of $2000 worth of recommendations upon checkout, but was never asked if I wanted any of them done. This is my second and last bad experience with this company. read more

UPDATE******I went back and spoke to the new manager, Matt. We resolved the issues to my satisfaction. I got new tires in Port Orange and that went well. Since then I have been taking my car for a tire rotation and oil change to the new Daytona Beach facility. I have taken the car in there three times for a leak and no one was able to find a leak even though he put his "best leak guy on it". I thought it was fishy that the leaky tire was in the same spot even after the tire rotation. Got sick of spending so much time at Tire Kingdom that I didn't take it back and talk to them about it. Well I recently took my car to a different company and they tell me that I would not be safe if they rotated the tires because the tread is very close to wearing on the two front tires. I am so very upset that I am not even going into the Daytona Beach Tire Kingdom to tell them my problem. When I go in they treat me like an idiot. I don't know if they outright lie or are just repeatedly mistaken but they did not rotate my tires, probably ever. To me it is not worth it to go in and possibly cause a scene. I visited Tire Kingdom #220 at 10755 Phillips Hwy, Jacksonville, Florida. On Wednesday 12/18/20. I made an appointment for 11am the next day and was told it would take about an hour. 2 hours later, I asked how much longer and it was just being put on the rack. The store was not busy , so I couldn't understand or get a straight answer. Finally I called the corporate office who said they would contact the store. About 45 minutes later, they finally moved it to the alignment area. I was at this location for 3 hours, then noticed the invoice had 23k less miles listed, which would cause issues with warranty. I reluctantly went back in and spent another 30 minutes waiting on them to correct the invoice to reflect correct mileage. I am pray they did a good job actually mounting and alignment, but I would never use their services again because of the lack of interest in the business, substandard customer service and overall bad experience read more

Didn't have an appt but I showed up at 7am when they open. I told them I didn't have an appt but needed an oil change and tire rotation. They said they can do it and I asked how long, but then asked if they could be done within two hours, they said yes. After two hours they hadn't taken my car back so I asked and they said they are "bringing my car back now". I watched them bring two other cars back first, with all other bays full, so I asked again and was told "they had an appt". So I asked for my keys so I could leave, they handed them to me, I said thank you, they responded "uh huh". Will never be back there. read more

My car was towed to the Normandy location due to a flat tire. Once there, the battery died. This was all around 11:00 am. After waiting 1 1/2 hours, the manager told me he could not change the tire without a new battery at the cost of around $200.00. He could not push it into a stall, nor could he use a jack in his lot. Please keep in mind it poured rain the whole day and my windows were stuck on down. An hour later I went in to check on the progress. I needed the restroom and the cashier told me the public one was all taped up with yellow tape. She said I could use the employee one. I could hear him screaming at her for allowing that. Then HE went outside and turned off the water. So I called my mom in Yulee and she had to come all the was out, go to a Toyota dealer and purchase a new battery for $100.00. It was 3:00 now. We gave the battery to the manager. Went back to check at 4:00, still raining, soaked, and cold. The manager then tells us there is no way he can do this today. We have been there since 11:00 and have been put off all day. Not only was this manager rude, but totally unhelpful. He does not belong in customer service and dealing with the public . Probably the worst consumer experience I have ever had. PS had to call another Tow truck and had to go elsewhere. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MANAGER who turns off the water so people can not use the bathroom. read more

I changed the brake pads in this location, after that every time when I hit the brake , there's big noise. Then I bring my car back and ask them to solve the issue, they help me make a appointment for next day ,I came back next day waited for about two hours to get it fixed. After third visit tire kingdom , The issue didn't solve. They told me that it takes few thousand miles for the running in period ,but I drove almost four thousand miles ,the noice getting louder . They ask me to change the hardware without any compensation. Paying additional labor charge and hardware fee is not acceptable for me. I've used Discount Tire for years (Lenox location is great) but had a mental lapse and decided to purchase 4 tires (buy two get two "free" sale) from Tire Kingdom. From the start the transaction didn't feel right. I even headed toward the door over a significant increase from the original website quote. An associate named Jesse stop to offer the original pricing I was quoted on the website. Tires where put on and ride was fine. Then a few weeks later I got a nail in my tire. Told I had to bring recipient in. Whenever this happened at discount tire they'd simply look my account up with my phone number. Second visit (a few months later). I know, second time is my fault. Jessie Horton, manager, quoted me an oil change price of $19.99 over the phone, also listed on website. When I got to the shop, he then said it would be $49.99 because my vehicle demanded synthetic blend oil. My car manual doesn't state this either. Came in to have a tire patched today. They were quick to get me in the door but not out. The guy in the office acted like it would be just a minute or two to have the tire patched, but took almost two hours despite the shop being very slow. Half of the $20 fee to patch the tire was for "one time balance", and the guy started putting the tire back on without having balanced it. I had to ask the guy at the desk to make sure the mechanic would balance the tire. The mechanic proceeds to balancing the tire while throwing tools around and acting like a 2 year old throwing a tantrum because apparently he didn't want to... never coming back. They told me my battery wasn't holding a charge. Well I just didn't believe them and still have the same battery going on 3 months later.

My husband has been taking our vehicles here for oil changes and tires for years. We had a 10a appt on Saturday March 16th. I took our truck in because my husband was sick. I told the manager, Mike, that I wanted conventional oil put in the truck at our normal rate, which is approximately $35. Mike printed the paperwork and shoved it front of me and highlighted the amount and said "the minimum today will be $49.95". I asked why and he said "your vehicle requires synthetic oil". I tried to discuss it with Mike, but I felt bullied by him. I called my husband and let them talk directly on speaker phone. Mike again refused to put the conventional oil in and my husband told me to come home. When I got home 15 minutes later my husband told me to turn around and go back because after a heated discussion, Mike agreed to put the conventional oil in. I returned at 10:35a and didn't get out of there until 12:35p. For the first hour they just let the truck sit in the parking lot with no word. There was an empty bay in the garage. Then, when I inquired, they pulled the truck into the bay and lifted it and let it sit for another 1/2 hour. Then, I looked for Mike and he was sitting in a corner in the garage inaccessible to customers. I asked him how much longer and he told me he had no idea. I called my husband again. That's when they started to work on the truck. I feel Mike decided he would eat up my day and make me wait because my husband threatened to escalate to his boss. When the work was finally done, one of the employees said to me "I hate that guy, it's not you, he treats our customers and employees the same way". This guy is a big bully who will try to intimidate customers into paying higher prices. I don't know what his motivation is, but beware of this guy. read more
