After the big snowstorm, my car was vibrating/shaking when I hit speeds of 35+. Stopped in to ask them if they could help - they told me the cause was ice/snow trapped in the wheel well and to simply get a car wash. If only all car issues were remedied by a car wash! I had a bad day. I got a flat on the way to work. I was stressing about being able to get to the tire store before it closed at 5pm, as I get out of work shortly before then. I rolled up with my donut at 4:55pm, 5 minutes before closing and was greeted with a smile. The tire store went the extra mile. They stayed late. They plugged my tire and didn't try to upsell me. Then put my spare tire back into the very complex alcove and gave me a tee shirt to cheer me up. I went to check out, and the guy said it was on the house. I was just about in tears. Consistently great. They mounted and balanced tires for me. They told me I had an additional steering issues and suggested I get those fixed before getting an alignment. Great store, they work very quickly and staff is super responsive. They take walk-ins for tire patches, and I didn't even have to pay since I got the tires at the store. The only thing I will say is you should call ahead if you're planning to get your tires rotated or especially to get new tires, because I believe they don't take walk-ins for that. But for quick service on your tires I would 100% recommend. read more

good price on tires, but for me that's as good as it gets. They put new tires on my truck. I picked the truck up and never looked at the wheels on the passenger side. I get home and one of the center caps is missing. I went back the next day and was told it was gone when I brought it in. Sorry- no it was not. These wheels are Dodge Motor sport limited production, no longer available. Thanks Guys. I have been going here for years but NO MORE! They are in too big of a hurry. They strip lug nuts and to top it off I had to go to the dealership to get the replacement. ( I think they broke it they should replace it) Yesterday was the final straw. I bought a set of four truck tires but the one required so much weight to balance it is ridiculous. It clearly is a defective tire and they refuse to fix it. This may come to legal action. Having been in the tire biz before I know this much weight is absurd. I won't be back!!!! Fast, Yes they are fast. So fast they break stuff and do unsatisfactory work. I recently had a set of tires mounted on Pontiac honeycomb wheels, which have a removable center cap. The tire store removed the center caps when they balanced the wheels and irreparably damaged 3 of the four caps. When I noticed the damage 20 minutes after picking the tires up and getting ready to reinstall the caps I called the tire store. The gentleman who answered the phone eventually apologized for the damage but also stated that I should not have brought the wheels in with the caps installed. They had no interest in replacing the parts they had damaged, so now I'm out $163.69 for a replacement set. The tires look like the were mounted and installed correctly; at least there is a small silver lining. read more

Are you kidding me? I called the day before to make an appointment for a car alignment. They don't make appointments until they begin to put snow tires on. Okay makes sense, no big deal. I tell the man on the phone I would be in tomorrow (Wednesday) for the alignment. I get there, long line, again not a big deal. The women a few spots ahead of me was going over the paper work with the desk clerk. I hear him say very clearly that her car needed an alignment so they took care of it. I wait few more minutes and its my turn. I kindly tell the man I needed an alignment. He then proceeds to tell me to come back tomorrow because his "alignment guy" doesn't work today. SO how was the lady before me able to get her car taken care of, then I'm told to come back tomorrow? I was kind of in shock... didn't bother to question the guy. Maybe he thought I was too young and blonde to notice? I could understand if I didnt make an appointment but they don't allow you to. Also why didn't the guy on the phone when I called the day before tell me the "alignment guy" would not be in the next day. GIANT waste of time. Will definitely not be coming back. Went to TFT in New London and was in and out within 35 minutes without issue. read more

I strongly anyone who needs tires to go to The Tire Store in East Lyme. We were told at Midas that we needed a new tire, quoted $180. I called the tire store, quoted $145 (and they offer military discount), we get there and they said we didn't even need a new tire. THEN as if it could get any better.... THEY DIDN'T CHARGE FOR FIXING IT! Amazing. Highly recommend, great company, and HONEST. We will be going to them for all our tire needs while stationed here in CT. read more

They put tires on my truck . After driving the truck it was shaking so much on the highway. I pulled over at a gas station only to realized that almost all the lugs nuts to my passenger side tire were gone except one which was barely hanging on . I had to tow it to a shop. I called them to explain but they were not helpful. It could have been a bad day for me had I not pulled over at the gas station. The guys work so fast and overlook other stuff, My lug nuts were never tightened right and I am lucky to live to give this review. Please take your time and do the job right. read more

Reasonably priced tires, awful service. Brought my car in to have tires done and they lost a lug nut cover. Worker came back with one that was a different color entirely and asked if it would work. After losing a customers item a business should offer to reimburse them for it. The worker simply turned his back and went back to work. Great place to go to if you want a job done. Horrible to go to if you want the job done correctly. Snubbing a repeat customer is never a good idea. read more

My husband got a flat tire and I brought the tire here to see if they could fix it. It was already almost 5pm when they close, but when I called before hand the guy said he would wait for me to come. I got there and they came and took the tire out of the bed of the truck, checked it, filled it back up, and then came and put it back on the truck. When I asked about payment the guy told me there was no charge. I couldn't believe how nice and helpful they were even though it was my first time there. This is definitely my new tire store.
